i have blue angel O2 XDA IIs.i downloaded "Xda IIs ROM upgrade Jun 2005 (ENG)" from http://myxda.com.i have lost my cable(cradle).
So i tried to upgrade the device by connecting bluetooth active synchronizer.upgrade started but after some time it says on pc that connection to the device has lost. and now my device is not booting up "serial v2.07" is showing on the screen.
Plz tell is there any way to restore my device to the previous version without the cradle or cable. Bcz i lives in the remote area a cable can not be available here.
Plz help.

yep it can be done.
u will need help from someone to load wm2k3_se june update on their pda first, then save that new update image to an SD card for ya.
so then u can restore it on yours.
where did u buy this device from?

Hi all PDA and HTC lovers.I have an ALPINE which is stuck on "windows mobile" screen. Thats because I was upgrading a new rom but during upgrade connection between my PDA and my PC was interrupted then I got many error messages on screen but it was too late now I cant get my ALPINE into bootloader mode and I only can see "windows mobile" screen when I plugged charger.Is it possible to make it run my alpine again. I would be very pleased if you could help.

Stuck on window mobile screen
I got similar problem on XDA Exec last week and fixed it. I do not know whether the steps will help on you XDA IIi or not.
I was upgrading the XDA Exec to a newer ROM version and keep getting country error code. Whatever I did caused the device to stuck on window mobile screen. I simply put the device into the cradle after reseting it. The screen still shown the window mobile image. I ran the ROM update program again (I think it is MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe). It showed an error but I ran it again withthout taking my device out of the cradle. It run sucessful the second time.
I notice that when the program runs, it close ActiveSync application from your desktop and the device screen turns to black screen with some simple texts on it.

i have downloaded update rom v 1.40 form the imate site. and connected my device to my PC via bluetooth link and sync through active sync4.5 and then run the update setup setup found the device v 1.22 and ready to update it to v1.4. and then after the restart (which the setup automaticlly does) a display with out back light appers which says (Serial v2.07). i tried to soft reset and hard reset but nothing happens, on the short i am unable to load os on my device and stucked to this display (Serial v2.07). i do not have data cable or cradel. any solution Please.

well i do not want to offend you but you are too stupid to even try the upgrade over bluetooth, the upgrade only can be performed over cable
Get a cradle or a data cable and update according to descriptions in the Wiki. You're in bootloader mode, you should be able to resume the update from here, but ofcourse only by cable.

worst case scenario is to recover your device using mtty, search the forums for the method

I attempted to download the XDA IIi (v1.11.171) software update and during installation the software update was interrupted by my computer rebooting. Now my XDA does not boot and all it displays is "Serial V.1.01". I have tried a hard reset but it still does not boot.
I would appreciate any suggestions you could advise on how I can recover from this situation.

It doesn't sync with the pc anymore though.
Won't sync, but if you plug it in, and see the screen on the pda change to something like USB, it's connected.
It's connected, but when i go to update, it says country id error.
find this file at the ftp "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" and use it to upgrade
I fixed the problem by reflashing the rom using the ma_upgradeUt.

Time for an update
I waited 45 minutes for the ROM to update. It never got out of the "Checking the information on your device, Please Wait" mode. I have a bad feeling...
Its my guess that when its in the SERIAL screen and USB screen when plugged in to the Computer that its in Bootloader Mode. Is there a way to get it to load a new ROM? Or, am I trying to revive a "brick."

you have to quit the installer program from task manager, then rerun it, i had to do this with both my xda2 and xda2i it hangs, make sure you dont remove your phone from the cradle or out of boot loader mode.
the second time the program runs it will not find any existing info and just install the OS, it takes about 30 mins

Please go into a little more detail. I go to Windows Task Manager, click on the "Processes" tab but unable to find the "installer program." Thanks...
I tried with my o2 2i XDA but it gets up to 2% then says there is a radio update error. HELP And does anyone have the 1.10 radio update?
well wn i faced this problem in my i-mate pda2,i asked the i-mate support ppl n they sed there wz no way other than dwnloading the original rom n re-installing it,so i guess u guyz hv 2 do da same in ur O2z.this problem happens becoz a simpl 'stik at bootloader' program is loaded in ur extended roms,n remember that extended roms are LOCKED.

Tried the same but dropped during update & now xdalli is completely dead. Read light comes on if in cradle with no battery.
Knowledge is very basic. Any suggestions apreciated.

i got a XDA 2 I otherwise known as ,PH10A its not turning on so i cant install rom on phone.taken cmos battery out stil no joy,,please can anyone help me out i put it in the crradle and it does charge up.and on the screen it says USB V 1.02 and thats all and wont do nothing else ..pc wont reconise the phone..i badly need help anyone got any ideas ..
The bootloader message USB V 1.02 does mean that it is in healthy bootloader mode and that it does find a healthy USB connection as well. Activesync will not be able to communicate with it the way it would do if Windows Mobile would have been loaded on your XDA. But the normal ROM flash utilities should be able to access it. Be sure to use ActiveSync version 4.5 to flash WM6, be sure to use a PC running Windows XP, not Vista, be sure to read flashing instructions very carefully, print them and keep them handy during the flashing process. Flashing can take over 30 minutes, be patient!

They come with the HimaUpgradeNoID utility to flash the ROM, it's built into the Tofclock .exe

Qhen I put the latest version of the radio on my Blueangel i see the error messege. I see how I can pot new version of Radion on the blue angel here.

i make step by step everything but show me error messege then I make 7th point from this link again show error messege in the program.My pocket PC now is don't show anything. When put the phone on the stand now show only USB and V2.08 under them. nothing light and nothing power on. I try to make hard reset on the phone (press restart buton and power on buton) but do nothing on the screen. I outside the battery and sim card about 10 minutes , then put again into the phone now the phone doing nothing when i try to turn on. I don't know whats happened can anybody help me?? Is my phone dead ?? ;(
now i try to make other way to put another radio but nothing work ... i am dissapointed pls help ...
ok, i understand your situation and i think your phone is not dead, but to find out and to find a way to a solution, you have to give a little more information about what happened:
-what error did you get?
-at what point exactly?
- what os are you using on your pc?
- what rom are you using on the blueangel?
- are you sure, it is a blueangel and not a harrier?
- was your battery fully charged at the point of the first upgrade attempt?
- was the sim card in the device?
- was the sd card in the device?
many people get stuck in bootloader (ok, most of them with a rom upgrade, not the radio, but anyways). until now, we got them all out of that problem and got their devices running again, but it is hard to guess from here, what went wrong, when you only describe your emotional status and not the device's

for flashing with windows 7 you need to install a special driver first, you find a tutorial and the download of the driver -=here=-.
it never worked for me though (windows 7 ultimate x64) because the x64 is somehow strange. i hope this was helpful, because i didn't really understand your question
