Question SCP02 error "Invalid response SW after first INIT UPDATE command" - Vivo V21 5G

Hi all, I use a smartphone (e.g., Vivo V21 but what I describe next happens also with other smartphones) and plug a UICC (a.k.a. SIM card) into it. Then I try to start a SCP02 secure channel (SCP02 is a GlobalPlatform security protocol). First, everything runs correctly: the mutual authentication is done successfully and I can send encrypted commands to the UICC. Then I stop the secure channel. And I start again: new secure channel with SCP02 and a new encrypted command, and stop. I do this multiple times and up to some point (after 50 or 100 trials), when I initiate anew the SCP02 channel the UICC replies with an error "Invalid response SW after first INIT UPDATE command" during the authentication. If I use a times (that is, I wait 1 s between two tunnel establishment) I can establish more tunnels than previously (200 or 300 trials) but, eventually, the same error is sent by the UICC. Can anyone help me to solve this issue? Thanks a lot in advance.

[Q] LEAP wifi authenticationfailed

Hi,
as many corporates are using LEAP authentication for their wifi access, together with 4.3 version of firmware it
stops working.
On previous firmware version I configure LEAP connection in the way of:
1. domain\user
2. password
3. select certificate, I manually imported
4. save and use it
And it worked as a charm
Now, after upgrading to 4.3, I cant connect to wif, always got the authentication failed error
What I observed, when I configured the access and stored the configuration (save), it tries to connect but at the
end it fails. I reopen the configuration for modification purpose and I found that certificate is not set, the field is empty.
Even I choose the certificate once again, it always stays empty.
Now my phone is useless.
How to fix it guys?
best regards
M.M.

Pattern locked - Unable to unlock

Hi!
I've got a serious problem accessing my TF701T. My daughter had set a pattern lock to the tablet and... now she can't remember it.
The tablet is not rooted, not unlocked and I don't know if I had USB debugging enabled....
I tried several patterns in the hope of accessing the tablet by using my google account. But unfortunately it never shows this dialog option. After some wrong tries I have to wait 30 seconds to try again....
I also tried to set a new password via the Google Device Manager. The GDM locates the device and when I "lock" the tablet with a new password (e.g. 1234) it turns out. Back on it shows the (optional) text message but there's no textbox to enter the new password. Also the GDM says that the device is already locked and a new password is not necessary.
Does anyone can help me (without doing a factory reset)?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
Ohhh... yeahh!!! After 100+ tries I found the right 5-dot pattern!
It's a solution that satisfies my needs but it could be interesting to know a technical solution.

Huawei P10 eRecovery doesn't pick up Wi-Fi network

Hi,
I tried to use Firmware Finder's "built in proxy" to update my VTR-L29C185B165 to B172. Unfortunately something went wrong (I left my phone on the charger and it updated before I got back) and now it keeps on telling me that "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly". The phone does still work but it will probably not do any updates in its current state. I've tried to enter erecovery so that I can restore it using the Wi-Fi method but it gives me every Wi-Fi network other than the one I've actually got set up on my phone. It's a WPA2 Private (not enterprise) network, nothing special. I was sitting next to the router while trying it so it's not like it's off / too far away.
Anyone have any experience in getting this to work? Should I rather just use HiSuite to try and recovery?
Thanks!

Unexpected solution for FRP hangs (in specific scenario)

This is an increasingly irrelevant situation, but it gave me enough headaches that I hope it may someday help somebody. I forgot to disable all the pertinent stuff on my XT1254 before flashing a downgrade to unlock my bootloader. That means of course, that I had to log back in to the google account it was registered to.
The problem: After entering the correct password, a never ending loading loop occurs, and if the device falls asleep, the setup wizard starts over.
The cause: I had a Titan Key securing my account, as the primary 2FA. Android did not implement this yet in Marshmallow, so it is waiting for a FIDO2 Auth that is impossible on the device.
The solution: I needed to remove my Titan Key temporarily, so I could use a normal OAuth (Device Approval) on another phone. After that, adding the Titan Key back to the account was sufficient once you either remove that google account from the device (recommended if you're de-googling the device) or first disabling the security options to find the phone later.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

How to remove "Device Projection Privacy Consent" message?

Hi all. When I connect my new phone (Pixel 6a) to my car (Vauxhall Astra), I get the "Device Projection Privacy Consent" message on the display. Once I press "continue", then android Auto opens and it's working fine. However, this message comes up every time I connect my phone. My partners phone (same model) only showed this message the first time, and now Android Auto connects automatically.
Anyone got any idea why I get this message every single time I connect, and what I can do about it? I've no idea where the setting for this would be stored.
Thanks for any help,
Lee
