Start with the getting started section.
As for your CHT rom I would think that our tools will not work with that rom due to the new encription. You would have to test it (which is safe as long as you do not continue after you have reached the first info screen in the BaUpgradeUt.exe).
I would expect yur fix bat to come up with a bad header message.

It seems that format of NBF files has changed in this upgrade. Old utilities no longer work.

This version is still not stable yet in terms of BT. You should upgrade to 1.31.06cht

I download your rom and try to upgrade to my i-mate PDA2K but got the error message error 123 radio image file checksum error.

Differences between CE Rom 1.42.00 & 1.42.01

Noticed this thread and saw that the GER Rom is 1.42.01 as opposed to the UK Rom of 1.42.00..
Is there any real difference between the CE Roms..?
Obviously, IF I do upgrade, I'll leave the ExtROM and radio as I have now but just flash the Operating System..

Hi Forza,
Well, the ExtROM would mainly deal with the MMS Settings, etc so I wouldn't flash that. The language can be sorted out using Start/Settings/Systems Tab/Regional Settings (as we all did with the NL T-Mobile Rom) and I wouldn't bother flashing another 1.13 Radio Stack..
Hence the question.. What difference is there to the CE ROM that drives this release to be 1.42.01 as opposed to 1.42.00 that both the GB and NL Rom have..
Hope this clarifies my question..?
EDIT - I have now answered my own question by pure cuirosity.. I upgraded the CE ROM but then found that I was unable to change it to English as I thought I'd be able to.. So I changed back to the 1.42 T-Mob GB Rom, wishing I hadn't touched it in the first place :lol:

If you upgrade to the Orange-FRE ROM... for sure, your divice will be in French (the whole system and included applications).
If you are speaking about the GPS software... No... just the soft is in French
