Bluetooth version with AG patch. - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Hi guys. I have the following set up and am willing to try amost anything to improve bluetooth and sound via bluetooth, inparticular low sound volumes when using hands free equipment and even speakerphone option.
I have UK XDA2s using :
ROM version 1.31.00 WWE
ROM date 12/13/04
Radio version 1.12.00
Protocol version 1337.42
ExtROM version 1.31.139 WWE
Bluetooth 3900
I have seen many people have extensions or patches on the bluetooth version ie AG and others... would anything likely help me out.
I have read many threads and have notice high quality audio mentioned but no joy in finding any patch..
I am considering MAMAICH rom version but not sure will work for me, have read and read, I am lost....
Please ADVISE
Regards

Radio 1.06 vs 1.06.02

Does anyone know the difference between the radio stack 1.06 and 1.06.02? Is the 1.06.02 the latest version?
I don't know the technical differances, but 1.06.02 is the latest version .I have much clearer b/t, much improved wifi and bluetooth range, and no hollow sound through the bluetooth headset.I get 25 feet range on b/t. I am running the dangaard 1.22.167 rom on my pda2k.

What was you'r old radio version? I am currently running v1.06.00 wonder if upgrading to 1.06.02 is that much of a difference?
Thanks
I was running the 1.22.162 Imate rom and it was 1.06.00 . Now with the Qtek 1.22.167 it is 1.06.02 .It made a big difference on mine.I am still very happy with this Rom. 8) 8)

Garinx,
You can download the radio rom from here - ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/RadioROM/BA_FRA_BelDT_12202_558_10602_Ship/ . This file is radio only so it will support any BlueAngel based device.
By the way, this is ONLY the radio file!!!! You will have to place this radio_.nbf file into an extracted ROM folder to perform the upgrade. PM me for help!
Good luck,
Dom

Is it possible to upgrade just the radio, without doing a a full rom upgrade.
By that i mean, doing a upgrade to the same Rom and extended rom but changing the radio file.
Can i simply just upgrade the radio only
Thanks
John
Yes, you can update just one ROM at a time. All you need to do is remove the other two ROMs from the upgrade directory and you will see that when you run the upgrade program that only the remaining rom is listed as an update.
This works as I have carried out the same procedure to update my radio to 1.06.02 but I cannot remember if the unit hard resets itself after the update. Just to be safe - do a full backup first!
Happy updating.
John,
Yes, this is possible as it states above.
All I did was back up my device, then replaced the radio file in the ROM upgrade and then run the upgrade! After installing and Hard Resetting, I just restored from backup!
Let me know if you do it and how it went.
Dom

Yes you can only upgrade the radio, be sure and back up the device as this will also need a hard reset and all you're custom programs/settings will be gone you can restore with the backup.
Backup and remove all .nbf files except for the radio_.nbf file and run baUpgrade.exe
This will upgrade the radio only, I did this last night and it works
I think the answer may be YES, YES and YES!
Try this as the saves some time on the download, its readio only.

Is the radio rom 1.06.02 is the latest one?
Was when I put it there, like the folder reads, 1.06.02
Does 1.06.02 radio rom improve quality of BT and/or phone? What about the power consumption?
Headset Trouble
Does the Radio Update 1.06.02 fix all troubles with headsets like:
.) scratching noise when more than 2 meters away from device
.) headset lost connection to device often.
or is this not fixed ?
ore is there maybe another possibility to fix this.
link to nbf ?
As I read in this thread, a new radio version might solve my problem described below. But both links to radio_.nbf's in this thread are not working. Please post another one and would you please explain the process of upgrading! Thx a lot!
yesterday's Subject: HELP! Microphone shut-off/power-safe during calls
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just bought the Qtek 9090 about a week ago. Great machine, but calling is aweful. I have the same problem that I read about somewhere else on the net: during calls the microphone shuts off when I don't talk. When I start talking there is a short delay I guess, which makes the connection sound cracky or interrupted to the other person on the line. Is this a known issue to anyone here? Is this a software or hardware prob? Should I send it back? Will they be able to repair it, exchange it or do nothing at all? Please reply quickly. I need to know what to do in order to send it back in time! Thx a bunch!

Then go to the radio rom dir .......

Thank you! Will the "Radio 1.06.02 Edited for German Tmobile MDAIII.rar" work for my Qtek 9090 (Germany e-plus) also?

the only rom which can fix xda IIs no sound problem

after lots of reading, it seems that the most stable and the only rom version which can solve "no sound" problem is this one: ba_1.33.51_with_wmp10_cooked_by_mamaich_final.rar
but the file is missing in ftp? can anyone please help re-upload? thx!
also to mamaich:
I read one of your thread about no sound problem and it says:
"You don't need to softreset your phone. You can just turn flight mode on and off.
Currently I have 1.33.51 (my cooked) ROM, 1.10 radio, BT build 3900 and several fixes installed and have not noticed such problem for a long time. Last time I had such problem I was running 1.31 ROM, 1.06 radio and old 3500 BT stack. Maybe BT 3900 or some other update fixed that.

QTek 9090 ROM's

Can some one tell me what the latest and greatest ROM's i can run on my device. I am running a Qtek 9090 on the BT Mobile (Vodafone) network.
ROM Version: 1.40.00 WWE
ROM date: 03/10/05
Radio Version: 1.13.00
Protocol Version: 1337.42
ExtROM Version: 1.22.126 WWE
Since i successfully upgraded to ROM 1.40.00 WWE i can now no longer connect to a VPN using PPTP, i tried upgrading to Radio 1.13.00 this had made no difference.
I was wondering if there are any known issues with the ROM's that i am running, or if i am even running the latest / best combination of ROM's for my device.
Any help really appreciated.
Hope you know what you have in you 1.22.126 ext rom.
If you have left it alone on the CE upgrade to 1.40 your 1.22.126 ext rom could have patches that upgrade the BT as well as other files.
Thus these patches will in fact then downdrade the files on the 1.40 Rom.
(CE 1.22 roms had BT 1.35 or lower CE 1.40 had BT 1.39).
SO based on what you report I would expect you to have problems that it seems you have created for yourself.
Now If you have infact cleaned your Ext rom and added the patches that you need for 1.40 (which can be found on wiki)
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_ERK_Patches_14x
you have an issue that has yet to be found with the 1.40 rom based on those reported in:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_1.40.00_Upgrade
Thanks for the reply, it sounds like i might be missing something big here, sorry for this - what do you mean by "cleaned your Ext rom"...? As far as i am aware i have not touched the ExtROM i just assumed that the PPTP issue was something to do with me not touching it, but i may well be very wrong :? Everything else seems to work just fine including BT and GPRS and Wireless LAN.
Thanks again!
Would sugest that you do some reading in the wiki kitchen.
Just to let you know BT is O2 not vodaphone!

Vodaphone V1620 (9090, M2000)

Good morning
I have recently acquired a Vodafone V1620 (9090, M2000)
I would like to install a more recent ROM bit I'm not sure which one to use.
There is also a problem with the sound - a crackling noise in the speaker but nothing in the headphones. I have changed the speaker but the noise is still there.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know
Thank you

Welcome to xda-developers!
Questions such as this are best checked first on the wiki, here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel
You will have to decide for yourself whether you want a French ROM or one of the more widely available English language ROMS, including versions of WM5 or WM6 that have been ported by several members of this site. The choice is yours!
I regret that I am no hardware expert and cannot comment on your sound problem.
Hope this helps!

bluetooth 1.1 vs 2.0 on wm6 (xplode)

I have an XDA IIs with the following specs:
ROM VERSION : 6.11.00.WWE
ROM Date: 4/6/08
Radio VERSION: 1.12.00
Protocol version : 1337.42
ExtROM: xplode_7.00
I previously used wm2003SE and my bluetooth headset v1.1 worked fine, now on wm6 both my bluetooh headsets (for phone calls) v1.1 don't work , my firneds who owns a bluetooth v2 headset works fine on my IIs. Is there an upgrade so that both v1.1 and v2 can work ?
thanks!
Sammy
have you read about the common problems that wm6 brings into our beloved blue angel?? have you checkd the wiki?? please head to the wiki or use the handy dandy"search feature" in this forum, with this said , the little problem your having is one of many others you have to endure using a windows mobile version that was not meant for your phone.
cheers
Rafy
