Looking for 1.40 ROM for PDA2k - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Ok... I want to upgrade my PDA2k, but am a bit on the chicken side. Has anyone created or cooked a COMPLETE ROM for the PDA2k that they can post a download link to?
I can do the flash myself, but don't know how to cook a ROM and don't have the tools. I would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks!

ROM Upgrade
Read this site. It's all here.
This FTP site has the ROM for Blue Angel. I used this one to upgrade my PDA2K. Works much better than the released version. Only problem is with sound after using the built in MS PocketPC CLOSE command; just don't use it, use another program like "Launcher" that has it's own CLOSE command which does not cause the problem.
Here is the FTP link: ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAngel/BlueAngel_Roms/BA_1.40_radio_1.20_untested_extrom/

ChrisSpera,
Can you post a reply once you do the upgrade? I'd like to do it too, but I'm not as sure as you are on what to do. I also have a PDA2K from the US and would like to know how it goes.
Thanks,
Tom

Well, I got a little help from one of the patrons of this site, and I did get my PDA2k flashed with the 1.40 ROM, 1.12 Radio, and am working with a somewhat baked extended ROM. I've actually been tweaking it most of the day.
If you're using Cingular with your PDA2k, make certain that you grab the Cingular settings file from Club i-mate. You'll need those, as the settings in the SX66 ROM I used aren't quite right, though they work. Applications that automatically dial out via GPRS will not function correctly with the Connection Settings in that ROM. I am working with the guy that helped me to test the fixed connection settings, and when they are fixed, I'll let you know.
If you're using T-Mo, then make sure you get THOSE settings from Club i-mate and use those instead.
All is good, though! It works! I did have one hiccough, though; as my PC lost connection with the device BEFORE any flashing started. I bounced the box, leaving the device in the cradle, and was able to pick it back up from the beginning without any problems.
The device seems snappier. It connects to the PC faster, and boots faster. Pretty cool all told!

Thanks for the feedback! I hate to say this but I already started. It's been pretty slow in the office today, so I said...what the hell...and went for it. Wish I knew about the tmobile thing though. I'm just finishing the upgrade.
Where do I put the tmo information? Or, what do I do with it?
Tom

Chris,
What version is your extended ROM? Mine is 1.22.162 WWE
BTW, mine had the same problem with losing the connection. It's happened twice now. I updated my radio and the same thing happened. Strange.
Tom

I am using the SX66 1.40.110 (i think) version of the extended ROM.
If you go to the support area on club imate, and click on the Operator settings link in the support downloads area, you should be able to find a download link for a CAB that installs T-Mo connection settings. download it and use it to create your connections settings on your device.

I downloaded it and installed it. Didn't find it real helpful. I still had to go through everything to get mms and email setup. Oh well. Thanks for the tip though.
I've had it up and running for the past 24 hours and while I think the OS works a bit better I can't see a huge improvement. The phone is more responsive though.
Any notes on changes would be helpful. I did notice that the BT connects had a strenght signal now, which I find really helpful.
Question: Was this upgrade supposed to do anything to the extended ROM? Because the version is the same as before.
Thanks,
Tom

I just comprehended your post. Sorry about repeating the question when you already answered. How, or why, should I upgrade the extended ROM? I take it the upgrade I just did did not put the upgraded files in the extended ROM?
Tom

The extended ROM, which is about 16MB in size holds the custom software that comes on the device. You don't have to upgrade it at all. You can leave it be if you're happy with the software that's there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the upgrade that was just performed by you and I install the new files into the ext rom automatically? Or, do I have to do it manually....copy the cabs from the laptop to the ext rom?
I've just been reading about cooking an ext rom and I'm going to give it a shot.
Tom

that depends on the files the update contained. Look for *.nbf files in the temp folder you launched the update from. What was in there? MS.nbf is the OS, radio.nbf is the phone and nk.nbf is the extended ROM.

I think I screwed something up. radio.nbf and nk.nbf were in the temp file but MS.nbf was not. Was it in yours? I believe I pulled the same file as you did from the link provided but there's no mention of it in there.
I also took a look at my extrom folder and none of the files that were listed in the link are in there nor loaded. I guess I'm getting things confused. Did you copy all the cabs into the extrom folder then run BAUpgradeut.exe? I just ran BAUpgradeUT.exe and thought they'd copy them over. I think I was wrong.

qtek_kpn_nk_1.22.00+extrom_1.22.731+radio_1.08.00

I have downloaded this, and I would like to upgrade my qtek to this release. Can I just run the BaUpgradeUT or is there additional work that I would need to do. I bought it in the UK and its SIM unlocked. I have already upgraded the Radio ROM to 1.08.
my devicedata.txt reads as follows
PH20B 0 B WWE E DANGA001 1.22.00 0 0 1.22.162 1.06.00 06.00
NOTE: This was just before the Radio 1.08 upgrade.
What I can't seem to understand is if I need to do some cooking especially considering that my device is a QTEK and is WWE
I would appreciate your responses.
Hi NinjaMan. Where did you get this update? Please let me know how I can get same update. Thank you for you help.
[email protected]
Please browse the forum, it's all here...
To the both of you, read my thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=18128
It's all in there...easy heh?
Frontpage, I downloaded it from the FTP site here, however there has been some problem were someone has accidentally/deliberately deleted most of the files. However I just tried uploading the file back but got an "Upload failed" error. Basically, I couldn't create a directory to upload to nor could I upload to an already created director. I wil try and figure out another way to get you the file.
HappyGoat, believe me, I have read that thread, and I have also read the wiki getting started, this is how I upgraded to the versions displayed in my signature. The reason why I asked the question is because I cannot see the answer in the WIKI getting started or in your thread. This could be because I am DIM, which I don't have a problem accepting. Nonetheless, I would appreciate some help even if it a yes or no to the question I originally posted.
If someone with more knowledge tells me if it is possible for me to just run the upgrade based on the information I have provided in my original post, the plan would be to install and give my feedback as to performance. I just don't want to do it unless I am confident it would work.
HappyGoat, if you know the answer then please share, if the answer is in the thread you posted perhaps you can point me specifically to its whereabouts in the thread. I can't see it
the complete kpn files are in the root of the ftp site
However i didn't manage to install using baupgrade.
There was a folder in extended roms with the extended rom files from kpn. With the util to unlock and unhide the extended rom directory on your pda you be able to delete the old files and replace the kpn extended rom files. After that you can do a hard reboot and you have the kpn version. However it is better to edit the extended rom files a bit if you are not using KPN telecom as provider because it has some setupfiles that auto setup to kpn as provider. GPRS and MMS.
Ok, now i need some help
I disassembled baupgrade.exe and RUU.dll
Anyone can help change it a bit so it stops checking language and provider ¿ I think only baupgrade needs to be changed because ruu.dll is th file that contain's the routines to upgrade and reboot and get pda info and place's it into bootloader mode.
Looks to me that the only real difference, is the Extended ROM version...and as you probably know, the Ext. ROM contains mostly files that are put there by the Telco's.
What is does read in the thread I gave you, is that MDAIIIuser pulled this complete package apart and we all agreed that the contents of the Ext. ROM version were not shockingly different to the one you have right now...
Additionally, you could end up with a phone with dutch settings, KPN spash, and other custom KPN/dutch things. So, in my point of view, it is not worth the trouble.
But technically, you should have no problem upgrading, as the KPN ROM is WWE as well.
Hope that helps.
And eh, what is a "DIM"...?
Thanks Vastloper and Thanks HapyGoat.
O.K if the Real difference is in the Extended ROM version, then you gusys are probably right - its not worth the trouble. I don't really have any issues with my current setup apart from some bluetooth problems.
One last question - Is it worth upgrading my bluetooth to 3900. What are your experiences with 3900
bluetooth
If your bluetooth headset is making crackling noise when it is away more then 20 cm from your device then it is worth upgrading.
You need the bt3900 upgrade
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Bleutooth CABS/BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab
After installing it you also need BA_OEM_AudioGW.CAB
http://forum.xda-developers.com/download.php?id=3320
this is for better audio.
Also, this is covered in several threads on this forum...the jury is still out as people experience different things for some reason.
Thanks Guys, appreciate your help. I do in fact experiencing the crackling noise, but I thought it could be to do with my BT Headset which is a cheap no name model.
I will give 3900 a go.
Thanks again guys

Just upgraded to WM5

Hey guys, before anything please let me thank you for this amazing site. You have made a complete n00b to a power-user in 2 days flat. Please do allow me to tell you my story. 2 Days ago I got this thing called O2 XDA IIs (HTC Blueangel) and I got it for around 300US$ (Unlocked/New) was not so fond of Windows devices so intended to sell it off asap and get some other phone, was just doing a little R&D on the net to see what all is available for this thing. When I came across to your site, here's when I got so intregued by the capabilities of this thing.
First I intalled the latest ROM for my device, after getting little confidence I installed WM5 with my fingers crossed. Its all done now but have a few things to ask you guys.
1. When you mentioned about the EXTROM you said that you'll have to copy the files on the StorageCard\ExtRom when all I did was copy nk.nbf into the folder called WM5_Pack_V3 and ran the installer. I did run the batch file to get the oper_code from the DeviceData file. It was all done, I was really scared but now am worried did I do the right thing?
The Device Information TAB shows
ROM Version : 5.03.02WWE
ROM Date : 03/02/05
Radio Version : 1.12.00
Protocol Ver : 1337.42
ExtRom Ver : TuMa v1.3
2. It took me long enough to install this what all tweaks should I do to it so that it stays at the maximum bug-free current stage. (Hope you get me)
3. I need the starting screen to display something other then those scary 3 colored lines
Some things that I noticed after upgrading:
1. WM5 It's a little slow, but definately much better looking and show-off value.
2. I have a Wi-Fi enabled ADSL router at home by which I connect the O2 and other devices its working fine on.
Any help/suggestions/comments are welcome.
A brief intro for me would be have worked as a beta tester for many symbian application providers, was a complete S60 geek and am majorly into bikes & bike photography
Nothing said yet?
Im not sure I understand that whole Extrom deal, but what I can say is that the files that were in the extrom folder inside the upgrade pack must be put in the storage card in the same folder, but that is only if you want MMS and have a camera, if not, then there is nothing to do, unless you edit the Cfg.txt to load all your apps and settings after a hard reset. I guess that if you are able to use the device, you did everything ok as far as the flashing goes. it is a little slow, but its come a long way from the first versions, those were slow as hell, thanks to Mamaich and Tuatara and everyone else this version is running great!
as for the 3 color bar start up screen, there is nothing you can do about it...
Yeah I really forgot to thank Mamaich and Tuatara for their awesome work, now I am really scared as I dont like the slow response and am unable to downgrade. ActiveSync shuts down whenever I try to run the MaUpgradenoID.exe file activesync stops and it is giving errors in connecting, gets DC frequently. And moreover the Manufacturer supplied upgrade is also not working it gives a CountryCode error. Am really confused and scared now what to do?
Well I did not get any help but with loads of tinkering I got the thing done, I wanted to know why was WM5 so slow, otherwise the interface is loads better then the current CE I am using.
I have the Cingular version SX66 Blue Angel. I was able to update it without any problems. Usually speed is very different with those who flush the registry and with those who don't. Make sure you flush your registry after you completed the update.
Mine is faster and way more stable than the other version I had on it. Remember to follow all instructions exactly. if there is a link you need to check and make sure you do the format, change the ram size on the device, then upgrade.
There are no instructions on how to flush the registry can you enlighten me on this?

During the flashing process, the wiki instructs the user to do a hard reset
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel_WM5_HardReset
You should answer NO, YES, YES to the boot questions.
Hmm yeah, I did do that. And just am in the process of downgrading from the buggy WM5. It doesn't work out for me.
and THAT'S where I got problems!
in the manual, it says I have to download my latest favorite ROM version, and FROM that file i should copy the nk.nbf the "DOWNGRADE TO WM2003SE" folder..and that's what seems impossible to me, since the Rom-update i downloaded is an .exe application, and not a .zip or .rar archive..
so how should i get the nk.nbf file out of the Rom-update .exe file..?
help
well some were in the same documentaion it should also say use rar or zip to unpack it (being the exe file).
Pls spend some time in wiki you might find some other answers
yeah i had tried that already back then butthat didn't work either..when i try that it still just starts running the program.. :?
Try these instructions with your exe file:

T-Mobile UK AKU 2.3: Mr. Clean goes to London!

We've been getting some great ROMs designed for US carriers, but our UK T-Mobile friends seem to have gotten left in the cold. Sure a new ROM is available, but it's only being sold on new devices at this point. So I decided to build off the base Mr. Clean ROM and create a custom version for T-Mobile UK.
This is a AKU 2.3 ROM, using the latest OS core, the 2.24 bootloader, the 2.25 Cingular Radio ROM and a customized version of the T-Mobile UK Ext ROM. I've gone through the Ext ROM and dumped anything that seemed unnecessary, keeping just the vital bits. Repacked a few things, and included some vital accessories (Total Commander, Registry Wizard 1.0T, and the MIDlet Java Session fix) to finish things off.
.NET Compact Framework v2 is packed in as well, but it doesn't install by default. You can install it manually if you so choose by going to the NETCFv2 folder in the Ext ROM and running the CAB.
--------------------------
Exact version numbers are as follows:
IPL: 2.24
SPL: 2.24
GSM: 02.25.11
OS: 2.24.10.1
Within the OS, Device Information reports:
ROM version: 2.24.10.1 WWE
ROM date: 4/17/06
Radio version: 02.25.11
Protocol version: 4.1.13.12
ExtROM version: 2.24 Mr. Clean TMoUK
And the OS build is reported as:
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0)
--------------------------
This version of the ROM supports A2DP natively.
Push Mail is of course supported.
I've tested the ROM with US based GPRS settings, but bundled the final version with UK based GPRS and MMS settings. Unfortunately since I don't have an active T-Mobile UK SIM card I wasn't able to test those. Hopefully someone can give it a go and let the forum know ASAP if there is an issue. This is one aspect where I was flying blind.
I'd also love it if a Blackberry user could install the BBConnect client and let us know if it works with this ROM or not. According to T-Mobile it shouldn't, but we all know that's been proven wrong in the past. Ideally I'd love to have someone who's got it working now upgrade and try it. This way we're testing from a known good situation.
One final thing, I had to repack the Soft Key application. If everyone can pound on that and make sure it works, that would be awesome.
And with that...
Enjoy the ROM (and don't forget to CID unlock before upgrading!)
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_224a_AKU23_WWE_CUSTOM_T-MobileUK.zip
Edit: It's been mentioned that some users may need to enter the WAP proxy info. If everything works, disregard this, however if you do need to enter a proxy server to browse the web you can use the following: 149.254.201.132:8080.
Superb!!! , i'll give this a go today. THANKS!
Hi,
you did a superb work but, IMO, you chose a wrong name: Mr Clean ROM, in fact, is a ROM without ANY mobile operator's stuff while your ROM contains T-Mobile UK customizations. So, from my point of view, it's no more a Clean ROM!!!
sounds fantastic. Those on T-Mobile have been waiting for ages for a ROM update, so your work will be valued by many.
Just a couple of questions before I jump on the boat:
Has it got the T-Mobile UK today screen customisation? I am on the 1.06 T-Mobile UK ROM and the first part of the today screen has shortcuts for the T-Mobile favourites (IE) application, contacts, calendar and notes. I quite like it and I don't want to lose it. If you got rid off it in the new ROM, would it be possible to install CAB files from my current extended ROM once the device has been upgraded with your ROM? I've got a copy of my existing Exetended ROM, so maybe I could select and install these CAB files later? or are there any incompatibility issues between the 2 ROMs, i.e. cab files that only install on signed T-Mobile ROMs??
Browsing the wiki http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=T-Mobile 1.6.2.105 UK, I guess these are the bits I am talking about here:
CAB: \Extended_ROM\TMO_UK_Browser_Signed.cab
[from the wiki:Creates unnecessary Internet Explorer Shortcuts.]
and/or it could be this:
CAB: \Extended_ROM\TMO_UK_UXC_Signed.cab
Shortcuts, registry entries for today plugins, softkeys, T-Mobile sound. Not needed.
and/or it could be this:
CAB: \Extended_ROM\TMO_UK_Browser_Signed.cab
[from the wiki:Creates unnecessary Internet Explorer Shortcuts]
Could you include these files in the Ext ROM, or could they be installed afterwards?
I suppose it means I don't want my ROM to be fully clean, but to include the good bits that are part of the current T-Mobile UK ROM! The best of both worlds :!:
Also, will it be possible to upgrade/downgrade to the soon-to-be-released official T-Mobile UK ROM, or to the current T-Mobile ROM in case anything goes wrong?
I can't wait - my Wizard will be very happy
Thanks for your help.
Top stuff.
Just a quick point.. Im using a T-Mobile UK upgraded to a 2.17 Qtek ROM. I had CID & SIM unlocked it using Lokiwiz 0.2b prior to upgrading. Would I need to run the newer Lokiwiz 0.3 before upgrading to this ROM? And how do I access the Net 2.0 install CAB in the Ext Rom?
Cheers.
I've just upgraded. Will let you know how it goes. First impressions: the device is much more responsive than before.
No particular issues as yet.
thanks a lot - feels great.
It works extremely great. The GPRS works great as well.
overall far more responsive device and not a single issue with the new rom as yet.
Great job! Thanks a lot
Excellent news!!! thank you so much..... however, i think someone may have deleted it off the FTP
i dont see it there now

Don't worry, I'll still keep maintaining the original Mr. Clean ROM. That said, I still think the name applies. While this particular ROM may be customized for T-Mobile UK, it has been stripped of any "extra" bits and just keeps what is needed. As a result, it should stike a balance between a base Mr. Clean install and a fully loaded carrier build. I tried to build it with just the essentials...more or less what you'd end up with if you took the original Mr. Clean and individually added on the T-Mobile bits.

No, the Today Screen UI bits have been yanked. They took up a WHOLE lot of real estate and weren't particularly functional as far as I could tell. Really felt as if it was designed for a smartphone rather than a PDA. Also didn't want to take the performance hit. As it is, Calendar, Contacts and IE are in the Start Menu by default (T-Mobile UK typically moves them) and you can add the Notes link to the Start Menu in the settings. This still gives you access to your apps with a single click, but doesn't require the T-Mobile UK UI customizations. For what it's worth, T-Mobile US didn't bother with the custom today UI over here.
If you're looking for a suggestion for Today screen plug-ins, I'm personally a fan of the O2 XDA bits. Someone had posted a link to it here on the forum awhile back. I keep that running on my personal Wizard.

You can always install any CAB files that you've got. The T-Mobile UK UI CABs all start with UXC, I believe. They should install on most any ROM. I don't believe that T-Mobile "locks" any of its customization CABs.

Make SURE that you CID unlock before upgrading and you'll be fine. Most everyone SIM unlocks, but not everyone realizes that the CID unlock option in Lokiwiz02b has to be run separately. Do the CID unlock (if you haven't yet done it) first and you should be able to load any ROM you choose.

You only need to CID and SIM unlock once. CID unlocking is what's important. If you only did a SIM unlock you'll run into trouble. Both the CID unlock and SIM unlock should be permanent so once you've performed both unlocks you're good to go. Won't need to do it again.
To accesses the Ext ROM start up Total Commander and manually enter \extended_rom into the directory field. From there, just go into the NETCFv2 folder and open the CAB file. It will install directly from there, and as it is set to read-only, it won't corrupt the Ext ROM.

Can anyone supply me with a copy of this rom as I would really like to try it.

Sounds good, I think I'll try upgrading mine tonight
Hope it gets upped on the server again.

I got this last night so I'm uploading it now. It should be there in about 35 mins
Edit : as of 11:35 the file has completed uploading.
Some damn fool keeps deleting the uploads section again. Someone give me his IP address and I'll arrange a DDOS
Thanks to thephm, downloaded and I am installing rom at present.
A quick question: after upgrading to Mr Clean's ROM I noticed my Wizard displays time with the US format, despite selecting English/UK in the regional format.
How can I get it display using the 24 hour format?
This seems to be a minor issue, but it bothers me when using Pocket Informant.
Thanks for any advice you may have

This is a setting that's built into WM5, though due to the way the drop down menu displays it can be easy to miss.
Start -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings -> Time -> Time style
Choose one of the four options:
h:mm:ss tt -- 12 hr clock
hh:mm:ss tt -- 12 hr clock with leading zeros on the single digit hours
H:mm:ss -- 24 hr clock
HH:mm:ss -- 24 hr clock with leading zeros on the single digit hours
Enjoy.

Yep I had this problem the original Mr clean rom and also most of summiter's custom roms TBH I have'nt tried this version of the Mr clean and there for I like to know if the problem is still there before I flash my wizard for the 20th time

Its official! T-Mobile MDA (2.26.10.2) link.

I haven't loaded from this link because I loaded the one leaked the other day. But the link works for download.
http://www.t-mobileapps.com/downloadcenter/Software_Detail.cfm?ID=80
one question I have right now the shipped rom of tmobile MDA and its already sim unlocked (i can use other providers service) I'm from the phillipines question is this if I flash this rom on my wizard will my wizard be sim locked? can I flash this rom?
I am just worried that I will brick my device and its a long way back for a warranty if ever I still have one.
thanks. is this official rom fast and stable?

I'm seriously hoping he does! I upgraded to this ROM last night and it seems okay, but just not quite the same without summiter's touch.
The easy way to upgrade
I was using xelencin's 2.24 version. I backed up with SPB backup, used the installer above, and installed 2.26. Then, when the installation was complete, I prevented the customization (after the screen align, etc., when the 'customization will begin in 3 seconds' popup appears, perform a soft reset with the stylus), and restored the backup.
This seems to work fine.
I then used total commander to copy the /extended_rom/ T-Mobile customizations to the miniSD and installed a few of them -- smart dialing, phone_light, PP_Extversion (not sure what that does), and the updated Hotspot login.
Of course, I didn't get the advantage of cleaning up the system, but since I did a start-from-scratch build a month ago, that wasn't necessary.

This seems like a good idea. I might try to something like this myself. I ended up uninstalling the Hotspot since we don't have T-Mobile where I am and I figured it had to do with their network.
A question... how do you disable the "message sent" notification for SMS messages? I've searched the forum but I can't find it anywhere.
UPDATE: Nevermind about diabling "message sent". I found a the hack for it.
TIA!
gonna try it now thatn for the information. i never let the customizations load after the phone rom is completed seems the phone works better without i just add the needed cabs.

Is there a depository somewhere with all the extended ROM cabs separated (and documented, what's what, what does what, etc) so you can just pick and choose what you want to install?
i just base my cabs off the files that xenelicin uses on his custom roms. when i first got the phone i donwloaded alot of cabs and yes there is a topic on this board somewhere with all the cabs and what they do. i still got a bunch i dont know exactly what they do so i never use em.

Thanks, I'll look around for that post.
I'm downloading now!
I'm also using xelencin's 2.24 version, I been happy with it, "Upgrade or NOT to Upgrade - That is the question". How's the radio working?
Radio is fine
The radio is fine.
I tried running some of the t-mobile customizations from 2.26 and that caused things to slow down. Understand that I am doing these over xelencin's customizations, so there may have been conflicts. Here is what I installed (these are abbreviations):
enable ntiz
smartdial enable
edge icon
generic conn settings
generic ui
other conn settings
security policy
phonelight
pp extversion
gprsandedgeDTMF
ringtone
WISPA - (this is HOTSPOT)
camera
This turned out to be a bad idea and I rolled back to the customizations I was running in 2.24.
I'm going to wait for someone to sort out what the entire list of customizations is. Xelencin renamed the customizations (in a way to make them understandable) but that makes it harder for me to match them up.

Perhaps.. =) What's the OS version in this bad boy?
I know there's a list of Cingular extended ROM cabs but does anyone know what each one does? I just pulled the T-Mobile extended ROM cabs too and I'm wondering what those do so I can pick and choose what I want to install.
Also, is there a way to create a cab with all the regedits so you can just execute that one cab?
TIA!
Seems to still be AKU 2.3 but newer everything else.

Missing the Milet Manager in new 2.26 ROM
What does T-Mobile USA have against the Midlet Manager? Why is it that they never include it? T-Mobile UK has it, and others as well.
Has anyone pulled just the Midlet Manager out of the UK 2.21 version?

I will answer myself:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Wizard/Intent_MIDlet_manager.cab
Shortcut in Phone App
This ROM works great for me, the most difference is the speed, which is greatly improved. Impressive. Been waiting a long time for an official update, although Im not sure its worth upgrading from the 2.24 cooked rom...

OS 5.1.195 build 14955.2.3.0
Newer IPL/SPL but same radio version.
neone know how to fix the font color for dialing numbers? this black crap has to go i miss the white!

Radio 1.02,anyone have a copy of it.

I am trying to upgrade to radio 1.15, but I have been unsuccessful thus far. If I read the wiki right I can perform the upgrade by placing the new radio rom in place of the radio on the original ship rom, but i can't find it for download. I have a BA on the cingular network so I beleive that 1.02 would be the original shipped raio rom. any help is appreciated.
thanks
Try this. This did the trick for me. Just put the device in boot loader, disable usb connections in activesync. and run the exe
ftp://xda:[email protected]_1.15_Type_II/X(M)da3_RadioUpdate1.15.00.exe
Nope, I got a country ID error with that. Thanks though
Need one too.
I need one too. After I upgraded my ROM, the phone is getting worse in term of receiving signal. I used to be able to use it almost everywhere. But now, I hardly be able to use it in the locations with a weak signal (e.g., basement). I remembered that my old radio ROM is 1.02.00 which is the original ROM that came with O2 XDA IIs.
Opps wrong one. Try this one. Just Unrar the file and run the noid update after that.
ftp://xda:[email protected]_1.15_Type_II/BA Radio 115 THIS WORKS.rar
thanks for the help. that worked with no problems.
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAngel/Radio_Roms/
Try them all, especially the ones from the shiped roms on the top of the ftp list
