This new Wizard rom upgrade utility consists of old well known parts:
SPL, IPL - 1.01 (the most operable bootloader from QTEK, has no SD-Card backup problem)
GSM - 1.12.10 (from MDA, some people believe, that it is more stable than 1.13.10)
OS - 1.5.4.2 (from O2, fast & stable like 1.6.7.3, but has no Ext.Rom write protection)
Splash Screen ... is neutral :о))

The similar ROM, but now with built in MachinaGod CID-Unlocker, is available (good solution for the newbies).
It has the fastest O2 OS, and modified Ext.Rom.
It is recommended to remap the keys, because of some different keyboard layouts.

I flashed this ROM on my Qtek 9100, and the symbols appear to be mapped wrong. Hitting the shift-symbol key, and then D(@) key, makes # appear, instead of @.

i meant that when i use earplug to hear the mp3, the qtek 1.6.7 is absoulty better than the o2 rom

It's surprising... I think, it depends on revision of media player.. What program do you use? WMP?
i use Pocket Music to play music at two roms, the sound is so differen..........may be you should have a try.......

Magic button also work bad on my machine........
i set it to start with the system, and gsm lost it's signal.....
Now i use HandySwitcher instead, it work well!
niver2002 I have no difference, music sounds absolutely equally in both O2 & Qtek OS... I have no 'Pocket Music', so i used shipping WMP and standard (qtek) headset.
'Magic button' in my case works fine... may be it conflicts with some of your programs. :?

I'm very sure that there is nothing wrong with my ear..........
But i don't use the orginial earplus i've change it to mx500.
Maybe this is the reason? In qtek rom the music come into my head,
in o2 it just ringing in my ears.....to bad.........
I aways think the signal losing problem is due to another
software, but after i change to HandySwitcher that dosen't happen again.
anyway, That's just an advise.
The software un-compatible problem make me so headache.....

Yes, this is O2 original layout. I should write O2_ENG in the name of ROM instead of WWE... It's a pity, but there are no more 'fresh' ROM with 'free' Ext.Rom. Only this... Anyway, if you want to return your layout back, you can use aekmap to remap your keys, or flash your old original ROM or new one with Ext.Rom write protection.

After seeing more than a few requests on the board, I figured it was high time to cook up a clean ROM for everyone to use. The purpose in creating it was two-fold. One, I wanted to have a core ROM that wasn't littered with carrier customizations and two I wanted to create a solid base for others to play with.
Cooking up your own ROM can be scary the first time you do it, it's a lot safer to simply mess with tweaking the Extended ROM and leaving the OS and bootloader alone. The Mr. Clean ROM only loads four items (Disable Cert, MMS Folder Creation, MIDlet Java Session Fix and Total Commander) so it's great to use as a base to build on or simply to flash over completely.
As for the ROM itself, I used the core OS from the latest T-Mobile beta ROM (AKU 2.3) and the Radio ROM from the latest Cingular beta ROM (2.25). As many have already noticed, though the two carrier releases share the same version number for their respective Radio ROMs, they are not idential files. The Cingular Radio ROM appears to much better at keeping a signal.

OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0)

I've been testing it out for a few hours now and the build seems to be solid. Boot time is very quick and it appears to acquire a network signal almost immediately.
A2DP is supported natively in the ROM.

aalright now after i install this rom where can i get the proper t-mobile settings? ive looked around and ive seen it once but now i cant find it
ahhh. man. i just upgraded to the tmobile 2.24 last nite becaue i couldnt wait anymore, and now you have this. lol. i would rather a core rom though so i still mite get this
i just install this rom and installed all the cabs of the t-mobile ext rom and well theres one thing the comm manager isnt the same.
it has the same settings int he settings menu like the usb to pc thing just the comm manager is different is there any way to change the comm manager to the new layout.

So what exactly do you do for the MMS folder creation? When I have updated in the past and not run the extended ROM stuff, I didn't have an MMS account. So I had to make a registry change to enable MMS account creation, then create it in the messaging application. Is that basically what you do?
ikkoku - Glad you like it. I'll try to keep it going as new ROM releases ship out. To answer your question about the splash, it's a custom screen.
jacob-mda - Check out the thread listing the functions of the T-Mobile 2.24 Extended ROM. I've listed out the known components in there. If you just want the GPRS/WAP and MMS settings you should be good to go if you grab the following CABs from the T-Mobile ExtROM and install them:

P_Generic_Conn_Settings.CAB
gizm0luvsu - I'm not sure what you mean when you say the Comm Manager isn't the same. If you're talking about the difference between the old 1.x ROMs and the new, you'll note that the Comm Manager now has seven items in it instead of four. It's going to look a bit different just because of the new functions.

Here, this will only install the T-Mobile GPRS/MMS/IE/OTA settings. (this was made by xelencin on a previous ROM)

Basically. When trying to figure out how to do it, I was pointed to one of the default carrier CABs that does just that -- creates the MMS folder and adds the Java link. So I just used that CAB to do the work.
what i mean is that i know its supposed to look different. when i was using 2.21 it had 5-6 things in it now when i upgraded to this mrclean one it only has the original 4.
but it has the usb-> pc sync and stuff that the new one has

The Comm Manager in the MrClean ROM has seven options in it. Just like the other AKU 2.3 ROMs. If you've only got four options in the Comm Manager you don't have the ROM properly flashed.
I would double check to make sure that the version numbers match what I have posted above. Also, make sure your device is CID-unlocked before trying to flash this ROM.
i actually reflashed my rom and now it does have the 7 thx for the info

I would NOT try to flash this ROM to anything but a Wizard device. I honestly wouldn't know if similar ROMs exist for other devices. Since I only have a Wizard, I can only test things on a Wizard so anything I build is going to be solely for the Wizard (at least until I get my grubby hands on more toys).

being with cingular - 8125 what will i loose with this ROM (apps / setting? ) .. will i just have to re configure my ie settings to cingular..

Helmi BA WM2k5 AKU3.0 Beta (v.1.2 Beta)
In this beta, Today Themes, BTA2DP, PIMG, Photo Contact, GPS, Animated Gif, Phone with CommManager (signal light turn off while in flight mode) FIXED!
Known issues:
1. There no internal integration beetween Comm Manager and Wifi, cos Different Driver beetween Wizard & BA (I've succesfully combine them in the past but forgot now how to do it again...lol).
2. When BT On, IR On, WIFI On, ActiveSync On, the tray might flick.
3. Some help file and Some Picture/images has been strip out from the ROM to create space for more usefull app.
Tips:
1. Disable Sound (Sound & Notification >> Events) might help system speed.
2. Disable Sound in phone (Phone Settings >> Keypad >> Off) might help phone speed.
3. Backup/Sync ur PIM with active sync first (Contact, email, etc) if u upgrade it from old rom (anything below AKU3.0 ROM) cos PIM management are different from the old rom ur old backup will not work, but ActiveSync will work ok.
Please read the readme file, I dont hv time to update Wiki page, but I'll love if someone do the wiki page for me. btw I think the information in Readme file is enough to flash ur rom and since no 'real' extended rom so no further preparation is needed, but u might consider to make ur old Extended_ROM size to 128kb to make more storage space for ur device.
Btw The EXTROM folder is included all operator curently supported for GPRS/MMS Setting, just delete the .CAB in ExtROM that u dont need.

If ur operator not in the list just delete all file in OPERATOR folder except CAB-Customization-BlueAngel-O2ASIAWWE-19May05.reg.CAB and run it to make a default mms profile that u can change, see README (in .RAR) for more detail.
With the Global Contacts Access plugin from Microsoft U can use the central/global exchangeserver address book. (Thanks to xdaradar for the info)

EDIT: The original O2SMSPLUS.CAB in extrom packet hv problem, Unable to send/recieve sms use the modify version here if u planning to use it. remove the old one, reset device and install the attachment bellow.
or delete the vcard.lnk in \windows\startup will also fix this problem.

yes it does, I've edit the post, I means the tray icon is blinkin/flick it also happens in My Aku2.3 right?,
In my device if i turn on Wifi, BT, IR, ActiveSync on the same time. the tray is blinkin a little.
btw, I hv 1 question, Is there any WModem that work on WM5? do you guys ever have a Wmodem that work with BA WM5? please let me know. and also any info about BT SIM ACCESS PROFILE (SAP) is more then welcome...
Another suggestion to make communication easier
So, in the quest to have things going smooth and to make our lives easier, I want to drop in another suggestion.
In Helmi 1.1 we had a few hotfixes in the form of cab files which added/fixed features on the rom
So, my suggestion is to adopt the standard usage of a few KEYWORDS, so that we can instantly identify the attachments in the forum thread
ADDON - cab adds a feature
HOTFIX - cab fixes (or attempts to fix) broken stuff
These identifications could come embedded on the cab name. Additionally, to avoid confusion on which CAB is the latest one, they should use VERSION NUMBERS too.
after the KEYWORD, then would come either the version number, starting at 1.0, or the keyword UNTESTED.
Examples:
10xSpeed_Increase.HOTFIX.UNTESTED.cab
10xSpeed_Increase.HOTFIX.1.0.cab
I believe this little detail could make testers' lifes easier...

I know this is probably in the wiki, but I didn't find it from a brief search.
I'm currently on Tuma 1.3. If I want to try this, do I need to downgrade to 2003SE first? If not, do I need to wipe the hive, etc?

You can upgrade to Helmi's ROM without downgrading.
But yes, you will need to clear the registry.

Hi all.
I´ve searched and searched but havn´t found either answer or file regarding my question.
I recently bought a used Qtek 9100 (still have warranty thou) and it has all the standard bugs of the old ROM. The ROM version I have in my unit is:1.3.7.13 SVE which obviously is an old one.
I´ve tried registering on the myqtek site to get the latest update ROM but without luck since my unit isn´t delivered by the Brightpoint corporation apparently. I´ve been in contact with Daangard as well who also wasn´t the deliverer. My only option then is to send it back to the original store where it was purchased and get it done thru warranty, but that will take around a month since the store is not in my town and due to service time etc. Obviously I don´t want to be without my phone for a month just to upgrade the ROM. I also don´t want to use any of the english versions since I want my regular swedish keyboard. Yes, it´s very wierd. At Daangard they said that if you for instance buy your unit thru webshops that is regsitered in sweden but operate from a different country, this can happen, and he mentioned expansys as one of them that operate from england but have a base here in sweden as well. My phone is bought thru a store called My Telecom here in Växjö Sweden (I live very far from Växjö), and I apparently have to send my phone to them first, and then they will send it to their support place!! And they said it could take up to four weeks!! Four weeks for a simple ROM update!!
Anyway, I really appreciate if you can upload the latest SVE ROM update for me so I can see if my problems with the phone being VERY slow and that it hangs from time to time and re-starts by itself etc etc..

Installed this latest ROM file yesterday, and I can´t believe how much better my Qtek 9100 performs now! Totally outstanding! Only been using it yesterday evening and today, but still, no hang ups whatsoever (used to be 10 times per day), no slowness at all, all menus open fast and it feels like a faster processor in it bascially even thou it´s not.
So thanks a lot again! I´ve gone from pretty much disliking it and wanting to sell it, to wanting to keep it because it performs so well!

Actually I don't think there is such a thing as a 'Danish' or 'Swedish' keyboard, but rather a 'Nordic' with both Danish/Norwegian and Swedish special characters, and the reason for this is that I have a Qtek 9100 where the keyboard in addition to the Danish æ, ø and å also has the Swedish ö and ä.
I have WM6 on this Qtek 9100 and have all the Danish and Swedish characters in their proper place on the keyboard, so if your keyboard is the same as mine, i.e. it has öä + æøå, then all you have to do after installing WM6 is to make a simple registry modification to have these characters in their right place.
The registry modification is to add a String value Locale="0414" under the key HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd
This is also what you would have to do if you intall e.g. a WM5 WWE rom.
I also have a 2.17.7 WM5 SVE rom with a 2.61.11 radio, and I can upload this one to Rapidshare, but I'm afraid that it won't be before sometime during the weekend. This rom is a G3, so if you want to install it but have a G4 device, then you should have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293480

there are tools to do that. Make a search (PHM regitsry editor) and read the Wiki...
Put back the swedish rom!

I installed the regeditor and found the right place to add the string, but i'm not that great in editing the register so what kind of value type should i choose? I got lots of different choices; REG_SZ, REG_DWORD, REGMULTI_SZ etc..

I got it - I got it!! In a few minutes, I´ll flash it, and then I give it the hole program of my usual tests. It´s good to have a second Hima for such a case.
I thought of leaning to cook myself but athers and swampys cooking lessons stuck, so this is the right thing to fill my long summernights.

\Speicherkarte is still \Storage Card so some changes have to be made to install some progis like: sclcp++ and ftouch. Adding contacts is working in This ROM!!
After soft-reset you have to change to german keyboard again everytime.
Screen Rotate-fix and serialusbfn.dll-fix is missing and has to be added by yourself via cab files.
Sorry i found no working Hima-version of large titelbar/start menu as it is working in my old German ROM by teijalk. If someone has got one Please send me a link I miss it.
I installed jbed and Opera Mini german and made it Default Browser and it works like hell -- super fast and stable.
Don´t know why but I can´t install a running version of Sprite backup, maybe my fault.
Still don´t know what "Verwaltete Programme" are.
The comm Manager/Verbindungsmanager in teijalk´s ROM is in German and looks nicer.
After Screen Rotade Fix you can´t align the touchscreen without deinstalling the fix, but no prob.
No way to get SDK working. Well I don´t it - so it´s nod bad.

Too bad that ather is stuck in his cooking lesson. This ROM is worth to be improved and recooked.
Sorry swampy395, after ten years of en-lesson in school my skills in your nice language is still to bad to understand your readme files 100%. But to cook a working ROM, I think, you have to know it for sure what your are doing.
I keep trying to go your way to recook, till I know what´s your way to use your language.

HTCHome.v2_1_1005722_s0-alldevice_ger.cab is working fine, and
emunutz HTC Home customizer v1.o (HHCv10Final.CAB) does a great job.

Well - that´s what it´s for!
Enter your network operator (you should be aware which you use) and the wizard does the setting for GPRS a.s.o.

Nope. It's supposed to recognize your SIM card and choose the correct network provider automatically, see other roms.

Rom Update not successfull ...
Hi ... I'm new in installing ROMs on the XDA (especially on my T-Mobile MDA-II), so please excuse my noobidity.
I've tried to install this new German-Rom and use the included HimaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to update the ROM of my MDA - but with no success. (Message after a while: "There has been a problem while updating your Pocket PC")
When I try to install the latest released T-Mobile MDA ROM, everything works fine.
I also tried to install the new nk.nbf with the HimaUpgradeUt.exe which is included in the working T-Mobile Package, but as expected I get a Country-Version Conflict Message.
Any Idea how I can install the new ROM on my MDA or what I have done wrong?

you were getting this error on WM6 because since WM2003 you cannot directly update the ROM, you have to Enter Bootloader...but its good that you helped your self

Is there anyone who has succesfully dumped the Official Shipped ROM that comes with the European models ?
I'm sure that apart from me, there are other members who would like to revert to the offical ROM just in case something happens with the device. (need to send it back for a reparation)
I'm going to flash just right now anyway, as I'm positive that there will be someone in the future dumping the offical ROM.

EDIT : After flashing I keep the high pitched noise that almost everyone is Reporting. I can't get rid of it. Be aware with this ROM,. you might get stuck with a hissing device that won't stop I'll wait for some solution and then flash again, can't use Winmo anymore

I saw some remarks about the EC Chip driver update from HTC - will try that now, see if it helps anything at all.. For now, the device always hisses like a snake when Vista is active.
Without Vista active, it's mostly quiet, but gives no sound in WinMo, however, if you try to make a sound in WinMo, sometimes, after a few seconds, it will hiss and pitch for the duration of the sample played...

Rebuild Part02.raw and uploaded again. Working like a charm. Problem is: my original ROM is in German. anyone interested?

I installed the GPS Bios pack - Easy BUT:
The noise only appears while staring after reinstalling the battery - just restart SnapVue after Vista is up and the noise is gone.
Also gone is the German keyboard under SnapVue - Regional settings don't change that!
GPS work in SnapVue and Vista (using ActiveSync & GPSgate - after test period ~30€).
Overnight SnapVue need app. double the energy than before!!!
Using GPS in Vista means NO internet/mail!
Wrong keyboard layout and battery drain tempt me to reinstall an original German ROM and to continue using my dear old eTrex with USB together with my Vista progs.
So, how and where2 can I find the German ROM?

i noticed that pocketie is already installed and that \Windows\StartUp\PKG.exe and BlockTitleBar.exe are already removed.(like i did as described in this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377441 thread before backing up the original ROM). Now I'm looking to get the registry preconfigured to not start Snapvue. Liberated German ROM will get released this weekend. If you can't stand waiting for that ROM send me or traumrakel a PM for the rapidshare link.
If you could include the liberation into the new ROM I would prise your name... ;-)

Do you have the reconstructed ROM of version (original UK Shift): 1.30.405.0 WWE ? Can u post it/send it? Then I don't have to rebuild it myself, because I'm not that experienced it rebuilding myself. Also in case my rebuilded rom fails to work.

You have it, it's the one having gps and sound bugs with european radios.
I'm using 1.22 because it's a stable base. Later version doesn't give you much, as graphic drivers are disabled anyway.

Cool. I followed pof's suggested way of dumping the original rom. Now I got all the raw files with correct start addresses. I am wondering whether I did correctly or not for SPL.NB. because the file size is 256 KB since I passed the same length 262114 as read in pof's post. When I used KaiserKitchen to reconstruct, I don't have baseRom and if I ignore that, I am not gettting the NBF file. I want to backup my CHT ROM and install your's (1.22 with GPS and sound). Could you please shed some light?
