I tried searching for this but could not find it.
Can a T-Mobile USA MDA be upgraded with a QTEK ROM??? I have a friend who wants to upgrade his ROM on the MDA to QTEK 9100 ROM, dont know why??!!
Please let me know whats the latest English ROM and where can I get it?

Yes, it can be done... That is what a lot of these forums are all about.
Your friend probably wants to get rid of all those T-Mobile software customization. A lot of people do, anyway.

Search the XDA FTP Server for the latest Roms of all brands, the latest Rom are the T-Mobile 2.24 and Cingular 2.25 (if I am right!)/

I searched the FTP site, what about the FRA, GER...etc are these French German...etc.? If I need just the English version do I download the WWE??? is that worldwide edition??

Hi There,
I am buying a Wizard (MDA Vario) for an Australian friend of mine that's coming over for a visit and naturally she wants the wizard in English.
However, I can easily (and very cheaply) get the Dutch version from T-Mobile in the Netherlands since I am renewing my partners contract.
So I guess I need to flash a new WWE rom onto the Dutch T-Mobile...
My questions:
I am aware of the WWE I-Mate Rom that you can download from the club I-Mate ftp site.
1. Is this a good rom - and will it work 100% problem free with the Dutch MDA Vario?
2. Are there any other or better alternatives? any links to other roms? maybe a T-Mobile UK rom or QTEK 9100? which WWE rom is considered the most stable and non sluggish?

Lisa, I am having the same issue ,e xcept mine is Currently with Orange and a French OS.

I have a Dutch MDA myself.
Just flashed the Imate rom today with WWE.
Seems to work great.
No problems at all.
Qwerty keyboard is the same too.
I have Qtek 9090, and i would like to upgrade the ROM since my current ROM has many Bugs, could anyone please tell me how can i do such thing. I ve never done a ROM upgrade, here is some info. about my 9090:
Language: Spanish
R 1.12
G 1.337.42
D 1.40.03 ESN

but i still can't find information about wich ROM should i install in my QTek 9090, since its spanish version and i didn't find out the spanish ROM there and not sure wich version to install, if you could help me would be of great help. thanks in advance.
If you want a spanish rom then there is the

i really don't care about the language of my PDA, but the DEFAULT LANGUAGE of my PDA its on Spanish, i don't know if i can install English ROM????

I would however suggest to wait for Tuatara's TuMa 1.4 WM5 Rom...

You can install any language rom, the latest shipped english rom is 1.42 and german is 1.42.01. The latest spanish rom is 1.40.03.
In Windows Mobile 5 The best roms are 2 IMHO
1.WM5 ported from Wizard version 2a - beta
2.WM5 ported from Wizard version 1.3-TuMa beta
WM5 roms are in english
ive read all the pages but im still a little confused of wich rom should i upgrade with.

I have successfully upgraded my ROM to the latest 1.42 from T-Mobile, i also upgraded the Radio to the 1.15.
i also fixed my default language to spanish qwert thanks to user called Antz that developed a greate .cab file...

i have a qtek9100 too and since i updated it to cingular's 8125 Official AKU2.2 Firmware i am truly satisfied, so i recommend you to do the same
Can it be loaded to any 9100? (xda,mda etc.)

and aggeloppas, i think you can load it to any 9100, just be sure to unlock your CID first
But there is no problem with getting a simlock again?
I have a tmobile vario (dutch) it was one of the first so it would not be a 4g wizard. is it save to upgrade? I'm running now qtek rom 2.17.7.2 WWE.

I'm looking for the latest dutch Qtek 9100 rom for my T-Mobile MDA Vario. According to this tread the latest version should be 2.18.7. Unfortunatly the link to the rom in the tread issn't available anymore.
Anyone who can please upload the RUU_Prodigy_2180706_21807106_20710_QTEK_DUT_Ship.exe file to a file sharing service like Rapidshare ?

As Qtek A9100 is a wizard all wizard wm6 rom are good for this device,if you have any experience in unlocking and upgrading than it's good,otherwise this forum wud be a good place to read and learn how to unlock and upgrade,you'll find all your answers here ,however to choose a rom,this link might help:-

G4 device cannot be unlocked and upgraded like a G3 device,so never ever try to CID unlock the your phone using G3 methods,you'll certainly 'BRICK' your phone.
To upgrade a G4 device,there's another method,read and undrstand it before performing any upgrade,check this link for G4 upgrading method,good luck
