A2DP skipping solution - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hi to all,
as pointed out many times in various XDA forums - there is a definite solution to the skipping problem with bluetooth stereo. The reason i post it again is that i never had the issue before, but it appeared with the latest ROMS 2.26 and beyond - probably due to more optimistic assumptions about the BT headset performances (i own a Jabra BT620S which i love, after i got rid of the Motorola HT820 because of terrific skipping that i could have probably solved!)
The solution:
set/change the registry BitPool (it is a DWORD in case you don't have it) by using TotalCommander or similar:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/BitPool=40
A value of 50 or so means heavy skipping, the lower it is the lower the bandwidth between your headset and the wizard. At 40, i can be the famous 10 m away without any skipping with a great audio quality. But at 50, i have essentially to keep the wizard nearby my ears....
Last comment on the quality: i don't notice any difference, probably because my WMA files are encoded at lower bandwidth anyway....BTW, MaxBitpool and SampleRate, experimentally, have no visible effect (probably depending onthe MS implementation of the BT stack).
All the precise information supporting this empirical evidence is available in (see for example pg. 22 and 71 for the bandwidth estimation)

Enjoy the Wizard!

No Skipping at last.
It seems to work for me no skipping as long as I am not syning via bluetooth.
Thanks for posting this fix, as the skipping has been bothering me for a while.

I thought it was fixed
Sorry Buddy it still skips on me, do I have to reset the wiza after adding the registry setting?

Absolutely yes, you have to soft reset your device (keep pressed the power button or use the stylus in the small hole on the right side).

I use resco registery editor and there is no file for settings or bitpool? I have cingular 8125 and jabra 620

same here, i have no settings/bitpool in my registry
i have hklm/software/ms/bt/a2dp/devices/1, 2, 3, 4
@pzucchel, which rom are you using?

And your roms are A2DP enabled? seems strange, though you could always add the settings, but God knows how many other keys you'll be missing.

I'm currently trying wm6 underground, in my first test the bt stereo semmed beetter than the others i tried - but i'll see how it survives the work commute today/
which are you using, my only requirements for a rom are -
1 working a2dp
2 fast i don't really care if vanilla or not

Just overclock mate!! No skipping at 260MHz

if only that worked
i am using phoneAlarm which seems to slow down every rom is use a lot, but overclocking does not work for me.
someone please tell me which rom they are using, that way i can try it, and if the sound still drops, i know it's my device/my loaded software

I'm using Core2.0 (as shown in my signature). But I got the hissing problem so I am using Axim Widcomm stack.. However, I still have to overclock to get rid of the skipping. The reason could be because I play aac+ files using TCPMP. I remember that there was no skipping in WM5 when I played MP3s.

Well I'm using the stock T-Mobile now (I'm in between cooks, and messing around with the registry files, hopefully tomorrow I'll be flashing..... again) Have you tried Faria's roms? a2dp worked pretty well for me using an IOGear stereo headset. Skip's were far in between, that is if they were present at all; usually when I had a lot of apps running, or when the phone was connected or connecting to GPRS was the only way it would skip. Your milage may vary though, but it might be worth a shot.

so i flashed the core 2
edited the registry (set it to 20 hexadecimal, which gives 32 in brackets) (i really didn't find a2dp settings in any other rom i tried) and now it works, so thanks for all the help - it's easy when you have the right rom

I thought I would drop in my .02 cents. I have a Jabra 620 as well. I had previously used Molski 3.3 crossbow lookalike rom (WM5). With that one, auidio was good but was not in stereo.
Now today I had some free time so I decided to try a wm6 rom or 2. With Faria's rom, the sound quality was good. I think he sets the bitpool to 60. But the rom itself is buggy.
Next I tried crossbow reload 1.7. This rom is much less buggy. But the stereo bluetooth sucks. The sound quality is very tinny. Also, there is this constant background clanging that is very annoying. I have looked at the bitpool. Bitpool in reload is 30. I changed this to 60 but it may have only gotten slightly better. Sound quality still sucks. To note, I dont get any skipping, so Im happy about that.
EDIT: I decided to change the MaxBitPool value to greater than 30. At 35, all the clanging and general bad sound went away. I'm happy!

sorry for the missed replies!
....i have switched to the trinity due to a wizard failure!
...If you don't have the bitpool register, you should create it. And by the way, i had exactly the same problems with the trinity and the same jabra bt620s, and changing the bitpool value worked again!!!
all the best;
Piero

I now have the ingenetics rom dump flashed to my ppc (see my sig) and it is by far the best a2dp rom ever - without overclocking (i forgot to try it, so i'll be doing that soon, to see what improvements i can make)

OT - how is the trinity compared to a wiz? i asked in my local shop, but with all the rubbish from orange on it, it was actually a lot slower than my wiz. and they wouldn't even let me hard reset it and let me remove the extended rom they even said there was no other software to make it run faster! nor would i be able to remove the orange crp - funny how we know more about these things than the sellers

Thanks for this post. I know it's been a few months, but I just got myself a Jabra BT8010 and this change in the registry value made a difference in the audio quality. I don't have the drop outs I had with the other value. The problem I have now is that TCPMP doesn't play the video smoothly when using the headset despite overclocking. Any ideas to the setting that would help? Thanks.

Re Skipping
Hi All
I just got the 620,s , and Yes they sucked, found this fix , (post 1) tweaked my registry , soft reset......

Blue Angel - A2DP Bluetooth

Hi all
I have got Blue Angel:
ROM: 1.42.00 WWE
Radio: 1.13.00
BT: 3900
Last week I upgraded to the T-Movbile 1.42 Rom. I then installed the A2DP profile patch and was amazed that my Omiz OMS600 headphones were actually working using the high quality audio profile, and they were working very well.
The other day I did a hard reset to sort out a few things and left it at that. Later on when I came to reinstall my A2DP it wasn't working, nor was using the headphones as just a normal headset. I tried all sorts, including downgrading my ROM because at that point I was wondering whether or not it was actually on a previous version that I had it working.
Anyway... eventually I decided it was the headphones that had an error so emailed Omiz who were very helpful and sent me the download for their firmware flashing utility. This upgraded the ROM of my headphones from 1.06 to 1.25. I can now pair my headphones as a headset but not as High Quality Audio. I can get it to add a High Quality Audio shortcut in BT manager but when it trys to connect it says: "connection failed". Before it was also saying "service unavailable on device" or somthing similar.
Any assistance would be good.
Thanks a lot.

A2DP & WM5
Hi there,
I got the patch from: ftp://xda:[email protected] Upgrades/BT profiles for build 3500/
But I'm not sure if it will work on WM5, I think I have read that it will not, this is my main reason for not moving to WM5 yet... although at the moment while i can't get A2DP working I am not much better off.
How are you finding WM5? Is it reliable enough to compete with WM2003 yet, or is there still a bit of work needed?
It doesn't work under WM5. WM5 has a Microsoft bluetooth stack, this patch does not apply.
WM5 on the BA is quite stable if you have the time to work with it. I am not going back. If somebody comes up with a BT fix for the stand-by problem that does not drain the battery, all of my issues will be fixed.
A2DP on WM5
Thanks for that... I might consider upgrading one evening when I have nothing better to do!
Do you rekon we'll ever see A2DP on the MS bluetooth stack?

Yeah I think so. Apparently it's not out in the wild yet, but w/ BT 1.2, a lot of people will be looking to do more with it.

I agree. By the moment, I'm very pleased with the performance of WM5 on my BA. It actually runs faster than w2003! And I'm beeing very objective, believe me!
I'm having a big annoyance with writting (sms, word, etc) as the spelling isn't allways what I wrote. On the SMS window, it seems the screen gets redrawn all the time and it loose some words...
The other big is not having A2DP. I think is very frustrating having such a nice machine without a good software that makes all its goodness work! :?
Some delayings on the screen repainting and (I'm using Pocket Informant) slow performance on the everyday tasks as opening the contacts list, or changing toanother program, for example...

Answer is no, not possible yet.
And to the poster above - yes, just need the bluetooth connect issue solved where it drops connection when it goes into stand-by mode. The fix that drains the battery by keeping the unit out of standby mode really isn't a fix for me.
Not that I am complaining - I'm happy to be an early adopter along for the ride..

How do I enable A2DP on my BA??
Hello!!
I have searched the forum many many times and visited wiki, but I could only find 2 threads which is close to what I need to know. This is 1 of them.
I have got Blue Angel:
ROM: 1.40.00 WWE
Radio: 1.12.00
BT: 3900
This configuration came from the recently rom upgrade from o2.
It seems to me that it's possible to enable A2DP on a BA running on WM2003 SE, which allows me to stream music to a bt headphones??
However I just could not find a thread which has an instruction on how to do it. Not even on wiki. After reading some threads, I came to my own conclusion that I need to upgrade me BT to build 3900 and install a patch??
So this was what I did,
Since my BT is already 3900 "offical" version, thus I didn't do anything to it.
I d/l this file BA_OEM_AudioGW (1.33g.00).CAB (83KB) and ran it on my PPC. I then got the audiogw.dll in my windows folder.
That was all I did. It didn't work of course. I have another file, BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab but didn't use it as I'm already on 3900??
So I was just hoping that someone who has done it and was successful, could point me in the right direction!!! Thanks a lot!!!
anyone tried running both cab loacted at
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAn...age BT 1.0.0.3900 and audiogw.dll - 1.33g.00/
if it works, do let me know. I currently do not have a bluetooth headphones to test with.
I have Omiz headset (with MP3 and radio FM) and due to work with my Magician I had to manually change some registry entries. Point was that my PDA was not correctly identified as a A2DP device (only HF). I paired my PDA with normal BT dongle with A2DP profile, found registry entries with dongle mac adress and copied manually keys coressponding with a2dp service to folder with my headphones profiles. After all that it was possible to chose headphopnes in BT menager as stereo audio receiver.
Maybe its similar and u should look in registry...
jarekt, can you post those registryvalues please?!
Can't get streaming audio to BT headphones
I still have had no luck with the BA_OEM_AudioGW (1.33g 00) Cab or any registry settings under WM5.
BT a2dp WM5
have you tried the file (.cab) i uploaded in BlueAngel under uploads, it let me pair BT Stereo under wm5. Nevermind I looked someone deleted it dont know why. PM me and i can send if you want, I tried to reupload but Uploads appears broken.
I am on thesame situation of errorist.
My machine is on Broadcom 3900, and I want to make A2DP work.
If anyone can shed a light on how to make it work, I'd be very very grateful.
BTW, I have a Motorola HT820.
UPDATE:
I have installed the 3900 stack + audiogw dll even though I had a factory-installed 3900 stack, and I managed to connect in handsfree mode.
I still have not found out how to connect in A2DP mode though...
Any help is appreciated.
Hi All
I dont know how useful this is going to be, but i spent ages doing research to get my ht820 and my 02 xda 2s working properly, and when i did, i wrote a semi bad guide here
http://www.corecodec.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=29&expv=0&topic=2840.0
if its any use i'd be tempted to maybe write it up proper and put in in the wiki, either way, try some of the steps or files ive listed (most of them are from here)
but it gets it working with TCPMP aswell, which is a lot better than WM10 anyhow
good luck
BTW: ivans rom uses the broadcom stack, so the patch may work, however i dont have the headphones to test it with
i've onstalled this two cabs too, but new profile didn't appeared. Bay Be some registry values didn't appied? who did this patch?

ROM 2.08/2.87 for Cingular 8125....How Well Does It Work?

I have a Cingular 8125 currently flashed to the 2.17 ROM. I am mainly wondering if anyone has installed the 2.08/2.87 (whichever you prefer) ROM. I just wanted to see how the well the ROM performance is compared to 2.17...are there any problems in it that aren't problems in 2.17? Is it worth upgrading to?(when I have a stereo headset obviously)....thanks

Stick with 2.17 unless you need A2DP. 2.08 (honestly I don't know why folks report 2.87 since on mine it reports properly as 2.08) is based on a pre-release AKU2 update (which is essentially a beta service pack) but people who want A2DP are ok with that and I haven't heard any complaints about the core OS.
Depends
I was definitely a fan of 2.17. Very fast, all the great AKU2 goodies (except a2dp). But once I got my Moto HT820 bluetooth headphones, I had to go with 2.08. 2.08 I not as fast as 2.17, but it has A2DP and it works GREAT! It's really amazing how good the audio sounds. One thing I noticed is when using my HT820 headphones and watching a windows media VIDEO, audio and video sync was messed up, due to performance hits from A2DP. But with good old overclocking through OmapClock, no more out of sync audio and video. MP3 playback with Windows Media and using A2DP was smooth and great sounding. I don't notice any faster battery draining, as long as the screen is off.
BTW, thanks SUMMITER! Your work on bringing us those Cingular Roms is much appreciated.

Just curious, which clock speed gave you good results w/ A2DP? Was 240 sufficient?
Does the 2.08 ROM include AVRCP? I really appreciate the comments, I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to jump into buying the Moto's for no reason...but thanks for the overclocking tip, I probably wouldn't have thought of that.
Summiter, I'm sure you've hear it 1000+ times, but thanks for releasing these ROM's...There are only so many people here who know how to make them, so thanks for being an active contributor.
Overclock speed for good A2DP
I just tried several clock speeds and it seems like 228 is the minimum speed for me. The videos I am testing are WMA9 videos. I think 240 is probably a better speed as I saw a few occasional hiccups at 228. Also, I tried Real media player and had a similar issue with out of sync audio and video at the default clock speed using A2DP. When I was using the 2.17 ROM, I used BlueCast to send normal headset audio through when watching WMA9 videos and didn't notice any hiccups at the default clock speed, so A2DP definitely is resource intensive. Anyone out there know how to really benchmark how much CPU process or memory A2DP uses?
i keep having to correct people on this.
the ROM is actually the 2.8.7 rom, where as the IPL/SPL IS 2.08. apparently in software they like to add 10 or higher in build numbers. so 2.16/2.17 is higher than 2.8.7. if you actually look at the rom version, it reports:
2.8.7.1
Where the 2.16/2.17 rom will show 2.17.
i don't know why people call it the 2.08 rom when that's the IPL/SPL version. sigh.

Oh, one more question...So I have the 2.17 ROM...and if I were to downgrade/upgrade(?) to the 2.08 ROM, how would I go about doing that? Unlock my phone both ways using lockiwiz and then run the 2.08 rom on the FTP? If I'm wrong, please tell me before I create a cool looking brick. 8)
sigh, people's ignorance and lack of intellegence really astounds me. why don't we just shorten EVERYTHING because we're too damn lazy to do anything about it?? start everything with u and r and 2 and 4. it really shames me at how many people have murdered the english language because they are too damn lazy to say the real word. i'll excuse foreigners as they don't know the language too well; but seriously, people born in this country have gotten ridiculously more retarded as the years have passed. and really, saying 2.08 and 2.87 is the exact same thing, have the exact same number of digits, so why is it so damned hard to say 2.87 when that's what it actually is? maybe everyone should start saying 1+1 = 6 just because they want to.

A2DP Registry settings for quality/stability?

I've been experimenting a lot with different registry settings related to A2DP quality. Trying to find the best quality that can be sustained without skipping in normal use.
Using the Faria 8mb AKU 3.3 v2 ROM on a G3 Wizard, WM Player with 128Kbps WMA files on the SD card for comparison. Headset used is Plantronic S590's
Use at your own risk (standard reg editing disclaimer inserted here)
I'm hoping for some input on improvements and maybe what some of these settings actually do, if anything
I found this combination of registry settings in the Hermes forum and they seem to work well on my G3 Wizard. Good quality, stability, stereo and no skipping unless the device is busy with other stuff (like e-mail downloads).
Some of these reg keys did not exist on my wizard so I created them as REG_DWORD with the decimal values shown.
CPU utilization is about 70% at default clock speed (195Mhz), I usually overclock a touch, but I ran at the default speed for testing.
Here's the settings that I'm using:
/HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/BtA2dpSnd/Priority256=60 (Decimal)
/HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/AudioGateway/Capability=69 (Decimal)
/HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/UseJointStereo=0
/HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/SampleRate=48000
/HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/BitPool=48 (Decimal)
/HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/MaxSupportedBitPool=48 (Decimal)
Thoughts Anyone?
For my wizard, non of the registry settings work(although they work on some wizards). I solve my skipping by overclocking to 260Mhz(battery status display).. Now using Axim Widcomm stack, also overclocked to 260Mhz..
Yeah, I went the overclock route for a while. It did make the skipping go away.
I've mainly been trying to get the max audio quality possible, it's been said that different headset react differently too, but I only have one pair to work with.
Same here, I only have the Itech S35... The Itech has the added advantage (if you listen to MP3s) that you can forgo A2DP patching as you can then use MSI Blueplayer which gives superb quality. Else, I still think you should give Widcomm a try.. It is almost flawless(A2DP wise) on my wizard(overclock also) except for certain times when I have to reboot to switch on bluetooth because of memory driver full. I read that this is a bug for Widcomm even in the W2K2 days as well, but I could be wrong..

OK, sounds like it's time to search the forums for how to replace the BlueTooth stack, ugh, not enough time to go around :-(
Just search for Peetking and you will find the Wizard Widcomm thread, a bit inactive though...

Bluetooth A2DP keeps skipping

Hey looking to see if anyone else is having this problem?
I have the Samsung SBH500
And I've read up on other issues with this but this seems to be a bit odd.
Most people put the cause up to having both the Handsfree and Wireless Stereo on at the same time or when the phone is changing cell towers.
Well mine skips when it's just connected to Wireless Stereo although not as often as when both are connected. Also I know I'm not changing cell towers because I'm not even moving and right now have no reception anyway. Also happens in areas when I do have reception but not moving.
Anyone know a fix for this?
Edit: Distance does not seem to affect the skipping. As in, I do not think that moving around is causing this problem cos i just walked into the other room with headset and could still here it.. Just every so often it will cut out for a few seconds. A bit annoying when you're listening to your favourite song is on and it cuts out the best parts...
Headset also works flawlessly on my PC, laptop and other mobile phone.
Edit again: Using Dutty's latest 6.1 ROM and application used to run the music is HTC Audio Manager
Sometimes it will run smoothly, sometimes will just skip for a few seconds and then run smooth again, other times it will constantly skip for seconds at a time and you hear your music in random words.
I have the Sony MEX-BT2500 which has the A2DP audio push and hands free. Both are on while I drive and I get an occasional minor skip every 10 minutes or so - which I guess is considered normal?.
Check the device's partnership settings in the Bluetooth Wireless Manager. Try deleting the partnership and re-associating it with your device.
You might also want to consider the patch in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284974
It seems to work on the TyTN, might work with the TyTN II too.
Good luck.
The only time I've noticed mine skipping is when I try to send a text message while it's playing or a very brief hiccup when I hit the power button to turn the screeen on/off.
In my experience BT Audio playback skips when I have WiFi on at the same time or I am opening a big program / file. Otherwise I have no skips. I am using my aging Motorola HT820 to stream music via A2DP.
Thanks guys for your replies but I figured it out.
Using the Advanced Config, which I guess is just Dutty's version of KaiserTweak, I changed the bitpool to 72 from 64.
Now it's working flawlessly.
Haven't noticed any real lag in the phone since doing that so yeah. Might work at a lower rate.
This setting is also on KaiserTweak if you don't have Advanced Config.
Other values may work that are lower, I just went straight to 72 and was happy with it. Too lazy to test lower cos requires too much Soft Resetting and I'm not patient enough hehe.
Also Jimmyy - I saw that thread but didn't think it would make a difference as Tytn uses WM5 whereas I'm on WM6.1. Figured any software issues in WM5 would be fixed for WM6. Thanks anyway mate.
I just wanted to add that I set my bitpool to low using kaiser tweak, and finally my Motorola S9's became useful instead of near useless.

SRS WOW or equivalent WM 6.5

I have searched until I could search no more. SRS WOW does not work under 6.5 and I haven't found any topic with information how to get it working. So here is my cry for help . Has anyone of you had any luck in getting SRS WOW working on a WM 6.5 device? Or maybe you have found an equivalent that can boost audio quality. I like WM 6.5, but standard audio settings just make me wanna cry. How can anyone enjoy this type of sound ...
Any input welcome.
Kick...
Nobody's come across an equivalent? I have absolutely no idea where to look for, but I'm guessing a registry setting should get it to work!?
It works on S2P for me, but not WM or the Titanium Music tab.
Under 6.5 I can't even configure it. NO HD driver loaded. Such a shame, spatialize makes it sound far better.
I had the 121 version working fine for me (except that it froze my device when it went to sleep). I had to stop using it because of that, actually. Plus, it took too much bass out of my A2DP sound.

This version works fine in 6.5.. Not 1 lockup since switching over.
That's trange because I've been using the same version ever since WM6.1. Can you provide me with a link to the version you use? Mine is simply calles SRS WOW HD 121.CAB which I found somewhere on this forum. In build 21501 It wouldn't start because of the HD driver that did not load. Now in build 21222 it starts and even lets me configure. But it doesn't do anything with the souns. Apart from that it also kills my volumemanager. I can't turn the volume up nor down.
@ Captain_Throwback
Maybe you had your sound set to internal, then you get a high-pitched sound. On the second tab you can increase bass volume and lower the pitch. Music now just sounds horrible without these settings
YESSSSSSS build 21222 working!
First I installed version 121 HD which didn't work.
Then I tried this version http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=150853&d=1233064230 1.51.
Again didn't work, back to the "no HD driver" error.
Then I tried to replace the old driver registry setting. Again it didn't work.
After that I tried importing this registry setting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=64200&d=1199363692
Indeed, that also did not work.
Then I removed 1.51 and re-installed 121HD, just to try the registry settings with that version. For some reason (I'm guessing because of the previous imported registry settings) 121HD now works perfectly. All sound is played through SRS WOW. Finally I can enjoy my music again. The version of 121 I use is called SRS_WOW_HD 121.CAB with a size of 174,4kB on my Raphael.
Im using SRS_WOWHD_V1_2_10_MONX
Someone upload the exact versions you've used. :|
I won't be able to upload "my" 121 version untill Sunday evening (GMT+1). All the other stuff can be found in my post.
srs wow hd
Guys, help me out here... SRS WOW HD is launching and says it's working, but it's late and I'm fearful the placebo effect is making me think it's working. I installed the cab listed below, and then imported the wavedev registry settings on my CDMA TP. I'm not sure if it will impact GSM differently or not...give it a go.... we're all flash-a-holics anyway so what's the big deal with a hard lock up. (if it happens) hehe....
I received the "no driver installed" msg until I imported the WaveDev settings using Resco's registry plugin.

Oh yeah: WM 6.5 Build 21222 CE OS 5.2.21222
Yesterday I performed a hard-reset due to my problems with internet sharing (not working anymore, needs a driver). After that I tried to get SRS working again, yep you guessed it. I installed 121, seems to work. But as with you, I hear no difference in sound. So I tried al the steps I've written down. The end result: absolutely no sound whatsoever... . So last night I performed another hard-reset. Today I'm gonna reflash my TP with RRE v2.1 build 21222. And I won't quit testing and trying untill I have a working TP the way I want it, with SRS working. When I succeed, you will read here how I succeeded . Just give me a day or two.
Lemme know if you get it working the same way on RRE. That's what I'm using. I wanna give SRS a shot.
I am watching this thread. I have not been able to get it to work on 21222 based WM6.5 ROM I am using yet. Only tried the 121 version that is floating around the forums though and have not tried the registry settings that were mentioned. I will just wait and watch while one of you figure out the best method to install this.

I tried every step I have tried in the past. I've reflashed my TP with RRE v2.1. I got it working again. There are two things to take into consideration:
First, your volumecontrol will not work in mediaplayer and Manila player when using the internal speaker. This has never worked for me btw, not on any 6.1 ROM. Volumecontrol WILL work for all other settings (games, sounds etcetera).
Secondly, it only works with Bluetooth connections, but there is a plus, volumecontrol in combination with Bluetooth and mediaplayer/Manilaplayer does work.
Now, here is the tricky part: install SRS 121 (IBTrules posted it in this topic, so no need for me to do it again). Restart your device, pair your BT headset and voila you're done.
I know some of you would like to kill me now, but trust me. Connect your BT headset and adjust SRS WOW, you will hear that it works . I'm sorry for you guys waiting to get it working over the internal speaker. I can't get it to work. But I don't care. I also don't use the wired headset, never have. I would have to look for it to test if it works.
I have a Sonorix C3 BT headset, SRS WOW works. I also paired AD2P between my TP and laptop, SRS WOW works on this connection. All the steps I went through and all the testing. All for nothing. Not the registry settings, not 151 or whatever I tried. It was the connection with BT that made it work. Installing 121 will kill volumecontrol in combination with Mediaplayer and Manila player, which led me to believe it did not work. But it WILL start working as soon as you connect your BT headset. If you want proof, I can film it. But I hope you will try for yourself and believe me .
I have performed a hard-reset just now (20th+ time and 2 hours later). I downloaded IBTrules 121 version to be sure, installed on my TP RRE v2.1 (21222 build), soft-reset, paired BT headset-> SRS WOW and volumecontrol work. Paired with my laptop, SRS WOW and volumecontrol work. It also works with my JVC carstereo. As soon as you disconnect BT, volumecontrol in mediaplayer and Manila stop working. Don't know about you, but I can live with that. I only listen to music with a BT headset, laptop or carstereo...
