How do I check the CID status? - P3600 Software Upgrading

Is there a guide somewhere? Im really noob.

Yah I tried this. I installed mtty, but I cant connect to the device. I tried connecting on COM1, it opens a black window, and just sits there. Cant type anything inside it. Yes I disabled the USB connection.

Try this....
Scrroll down and set it as usb.

disable usb in activesync, then choose usb in mtty. The reason (so its a little bit clear) is that you disable usb in activesync so that it will not connect. You need the device to connect to the pc using mtty.

Ok, now Im getting a connection. In the terminal window, it says
CLIENTCLINETCLIENTCLIENT
I still cant enter commands.

I wanted to find out my CID.
But when i enter the Boot-Loader (power-button + camera-button + Reset-button) I get this Red Green Blue White screen with the following text:
----------------------------
TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.06.0000
(at the bottom is says "Serial")
----------------------------
What does this mean?
And it didn't matter which button I pushed, nothing happened.
Only a soft-reset helped.

You dont need to push any button in the device after that.
turn off activesync, plugin the usb, open up mtty, put it in usb then info 2.
complete info at link below.

Mine returns: HTCSHTC__E11scÑlHTCE
I understand that "HTC__E11" is my CID?
I also did "task 2" it told me "Level = FF" so it's CID-locked...

Press Power + record (above the volume slider) + softreset at the same time.
You should see a white screen with "Serial" text on it and the Bootloader version.

Dead MDAIII ... help needed

I tried to upgrade to 1.42 ...19 and my device goes dead ... after 6 hours of nervous waiting I put it from cradle and now it shows only red light when in craddle ...
i dont want to panic...but HEEEEELLLPPP :!: :!: :!:
There was something similar in the forums, but i do not remember the solution, so i will give you some things to perform.
do a hard reset (power button + reset) if it reboots, there is no problem, put it in bootloader mode (power button+reset+camera) and try to flash new rom again. if this does not work try this:

try this for whoever get stuck at boot screen or in bootloader mode
1. Download mtty v1.42 from http://files.pdamobiz.com/ROMs/XDA/mtty1.42.rar
2. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
3. put your device into Bootloader Mode by pressing Power + Record Button and Soft Reset.
4. Run mtty (from downloaded) Choose WCEUSBSH001
5. type "set 14 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
6. type "task 28" to get your device formatted
7. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot
8. take the device out of the cradle, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.
good luck.

I used it a couple of times before on my Trinity - I am just doing research and a bit of self tuition
I am in Bootloader and no COM ports will connect to mtty.
Noobie I know but a little help would be great on getting the thing to connect - and yes have searched far and wide but to no avail.
Cheers
On Win XP:
- Activesync USB connection should be disabled (grey icon)
- Obviously, device must be in tri-colored bootloader mode (keep pressed volume down button + softreset with stylus)
- Should work with any mtty version.
On Vista (I haven't tried this myself, i don't have vista):
- Windows Mobile Device Center USB connections should be disabled
- Device must be in tri-colored bootloader mode (see above)
- If you have not installed the older XP usb drivers, you need the vista version of mtty
On Linux:
I yet don't know why the /dev/ttyUSB* device is not created for HTC Diamond, if anyone knows how to connect to Diamond's bootloader on linux let me know!
Thanks - had a version of MTTY with no USB option duh... Now lets start gathering some commands -
I just tried to use mtty but after I press enter, the application hang and then I've got the message Write Operation Failed.
Is there any settings that must be done in mtty ?
I use the vista version.
someone have an idea ?

not an expert but few things that could be made out from your comments :
-it could be a bad flash of ROM.
try this maybe it could be of some help - while on this screen, put the usb cable back on the phone and it will change from Serial to USB. try flashing the same ROM or maybe download another one and see if it works.
Best of Luck!
thanks i tried this all ready but the serial just stays there it wont change to usb
hi,
try this
download mtty on ur pc, connect ur mobile with ur pc via usb and uncheck the option of active sync. After doing this type commands in mtty (do not copypaste) :
password BsaD5SeoA (press enter & wait for sometime)
ruurun 0 (press enter)
please dont type (press enter & wait for sometime), you have to press enter button after typing BsaD5SeoA and again after typing ruurun 0
then restart and it should boot then.

You dont need to connect to active sync as it wont even connect as ur phone is not able to start completely. You just open the active sync software and in connections just uncheck the option of sync . For COM just try all the availible COMS.
Best of luck
thanks i have just taken it out from the drawer and switched it on and serial has changed to usb so i have now reinstalled the orignal rom and im back in business thanks for all of your help now to find a suitable rom what do you recomend thanks

Need assistance please

Hi,
I have a Rhodium and so far I have successfully flashed a lot of Roms untill today...
I am trying to flash another Rom via ActiveSync, so I have connected my phone to my PC, than run the CustomRuu.exe like always, but I am stuck at 0%.
I decided to flash using the SDCard and renamed the ruu_signed.nbh to RHODIMG.nbh and than I´ve enter in the BootLoader Mode, the device tries to load the Rom, but I´ve got a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
I cannot even HardSPL the device. I run the Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe but i can not get the device properly synced.
I though I had an internal memory problem so I´ve formated it using a new tool found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...12&postcount=1.
But now I´ve lost everything and I can not flash any Rom with activesync, always the same problem, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.", and if I flash from SDcard a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
EDIT:
Can not HardSPL automatic flash, because could not get the device properly synced.
Can not HardSPL with Manual flash, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.#
Any help please.
Thanks

Then I assume you already have hard-spl on your device installed. So trying to install it again will fail.
*Go into BootLoader Mode (do a Soft Reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. Keep holding the "volume down" key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it) and verify the screen shows 0.85.OliNex, which is the HardSPL version* Is this the hard-spl version that you have?
You didn't mention which rom you tryed to flash. Did you try other roms?

Thanks for your reply,
Yes , you are right I have already HardSPL installed - SPL-0.85.0linex.
I have tried several Roms even the Rhodium stock Rom. If I flash via activesync I get stuck at 0% and if I flash from the SDCard (RHODIMG.nbh) I get a white screen saying "loading...." with no action.
This is strange as I´ve flash so many roms so far
Have you reset both your device and computer before connecting?
Just leave it in Bootloader mode and connect it to your computer and then try flashing.
As long as you put the device in bootloader mode, you do not have to get it to sync. I've done this many times when a flash didn't go right for some reason (like I forgot something when I cooked it ).

I did both things with no luck.
I have put the device in bootloader mode connected to the computer then I´ve run the customRUU.exe but I am always stuck at 0%
This is the info I have in the tricolor screen:
RHOD100 32M SS-BC
SPL-0.85.0linex
MicroP(LED) 0x0A
MicroP(KEY) 0x04
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
501,529 794,848
797,208 217,213
210,853 Calibrated
I will put the device in the AC power all night to see if this is a battery issue.
Thanks

I would try this first as posted by jeanrivera.
Also maybe you're customruu is somehow broken? Try downloading a new one. Also I don't know if it helps but when you flash via customruu do you have the image named ruu_signed.nbh? I don't know if it matters what kind of name it has, but it's just a thought
