GPS und Radio sind freigeschaltet und funktionieren, Radio aber nur mit Headset.
Das Gerät wurde in Australien geordert.

In any case what this guy says is a bit weird.
Compare these:

So we have two builds where the FRESHER has smaller version numbers?
Something smells funny and it's not me.
Even the people posting at that thread seem to ignore him now. Although they are polite enough in case he tells the truth (what... not even a SCREENSHOT?).

I have read all those topics about upgrading the mda/qtek9090 etc.. but I am not sure if I can update it for my "dutch" mda III. When I look at the Device Information i see:

I now have a Qtek 9100 (T-mobiel white label) with:
ROM version: 1.3.7.10 NLD
ROM date: 9/29/05
Radio version: 01.04.10
Protocol version: 4.0.13.17
ExtROM version: 1.3.7.110
The unit is getting slower and more instable.
Also after a softreset, a few times the unit vibrates en makes alarmsignals.
Should I do an upgrade? And if so what is the latest stable version (URL)?
I realy love this unit (pre-owner of a Qtek 9090).
Please help if you can.

Looks like it may be one of the (old) oddball test units we were seeing a while back. Does it have any branding on the front? Or does it just say "Pocket PC"? Also, is that the original ship ROM info?
You can tell for sure by running getdeviceinfo.exe. If it shows "11111111" where it would usually show the operator code (T-MOB005, etc.) should be, you can bet it's one of the test units for sure. If it is, be carefull upgrading. They are easy to mess up and hard to fix. Good luck. )

This was a TYTN 2 ROM upgrade released by HTC sometime in Feb this year..it had a lot of GPS issues...
so you're saying...
...it's not advisable to install this upgrade? This "GPS issue" sounds an awful lot like the "GPS issue" with WM6.1. Could it be that this problem has been incorrectly diagnosed as a WM6.1 problem when in fact it's the ROM upgrade that's to fault?

They kind of go hand in hand.. You don't get WM6.1 without an updated radio, but evidence suggests that it's not specifically WM 6.1 that has GPS problems, that is is the radio. Some radios are "okay" with GPS, although in my personal (very limited) experience, going from my stock Tilt ROM/Radio to what's in my sig my GPS takes longer and is weaker (HDOP drops VERY slowly once it's locked, and rarely gets below 2-3 when before it was always below 2). But it works. It's slower, but it works.
There are better folks than you or I to speculate on GPS problems, there's several threads on it, just thought I'd mention that.
