Crashed my SDA - MDA Compact II Software Upgrading

Hi
I think i've crashed my SDA totally!
Because of a hanging system i tried to reflash my windows mobile 5 Rom but now the SDA doesn't turn on.
Not even the orange LED turns on if the phone is pluged to the AC adaptor!
Is there any way to restore the phone?? Or should i just throw it away??
Seppel

re
i have got the same problem with my mda,II , i can get into the bootloader, but i think its internal damage cause even with the console turned off it should not effect it charging, u cold try sending it to t-mobile or we ever u got it from, but theres nothin we can do, its as usfull as a BRICK! sorry

I'm afraid your SDA is too old for a free repair. Hence, a new device might be cheaper than getting it fixed. :-/

Color Bars Help Please

Tried to flash button rom with full battery. Comunication error. Only boots to 3 color bars. Every time I retry the flash the phone starts flashing on and off.
Mmmmmm
What is the problem....?
Does your wizard dont begins... so it wont wake up... dont start ?
You cant turn it on?
What do you mean with turn on and off?
is blinking?
If the problem is its blinking and dont stands on... it is a serios problem but if the wizard saty on ... what ipls and spl got?
What did you do?
Men we need to much info..... than it is on bootloader, i cant upgrade etc etc etc.
FUUUUUUU******@@@@@
while flashing the button rom, i got a communication error. At random times after connecting the phone via usb the screen flashes on an off and communication is lost. sometimes the phone gets mostly through the flash, sometimes it wont even start to flash. But here is the f-ing kicker, while trying to recover in the button flasher proggie, my computer locked up and WILL NOT TOUR BACK ON. thats right, i lost my phone and computer in 5 minutes thanks to this flasding sh*t. i am only able to access this forum via a blackjack II smartphone.
OK, Feeling better
Sorry about that.
I got my computer back on.
It wouldnt even go to cmos so I traded out my cpu, still didnt work.
Put the old cpu back in and it booted just fine. Not sure why that happened but at least my computer is back on.
Ok so back to the phone. It boots to the 3 color bar screen and shows IPL/SPL as 2.25. After connecting the USB cable it will sometimes start flashing, not always. If I restart the button rom flasher it will start to flash, after getting to some % the phone starts flashing.
By flashing I mean the screen flashes on and off. Likely the phone is rebooting itself constantly.
Undo?
Is it possible to just undo what ive done? Is the old info still on the phone? IPL/SPL are still the same as before.
No, your old info is not on the phone anymore. The first thing that is done when the flashing process begins is deletion of your flash on your phone. This may seem like a n00b question, but have you tried using a different USB port? DO NOT flash with a port off of a hub, they are usually under powered when compared to direct board connected ports. Try one on the back of your tower(or directly in your notebook whatver.) and see if that works.
It also failed on the back usb port.
All is not lost is it?
I believe that this phone might need a new battery.
I had some problems with the phone turning off when it wasn't supposed to but it hasn't done it in a long time so I though I was ok. Do you think that a new battery might allow this downgrade to complete?
Its possible. The Wizard is kind of a tempermental device....it flashes when it wants to some time. You can try and see if a new battery is what fixes the problem, but in all honesty, it could be anything.
Xtrange
ok
try to get connecte with that cable other device, maybe is broken the cable...
try another usb port...
download again the button rom, maybe is corrupted.
lets wait what happen
Its your battery , replace the battery and it will charge and then you can flash it,you can get two batteries for a tenner on ebay
Battery
OK, so once the new battery comes, it will charge via usb and wall charger just as it would with the OS installed? Im not sure if charging is dependent on the OS at all.
Thanks for all of your help guys.
Does it charge?
It charges??????
in bootloader dont charge men....
if the phone stuckson welcome screen maybe charges, on htc logo dont, neither on splash screen.
All we do is try to help people to upgrade and try to found solutions for those who made a bad upgrade, but i didn't cook, and dont develop anything so my only contribution is for experiences.
Hope your wizard revives.
My wizard does not bootup...only three color bars
I was trying to flush with new ROM and it stopped after 100% and in the mean times, my system rebooted. Now I got this MDA with three color bars, battery is OK but important thing is that it does not connect to computer thru Active Sync............any help>

ATT Tilt Dropped on Floor, Dead ?

Hi,
I dropped my ATT tilt on floor 3 days back. Initially I was able to start-up mobile, but it used to reboot again giving me pop sound before rebooting. I also observed a '?' on battery status and noticed me of low battery before rebooting.
I recharged my battery using my bro's HTC. I also tried recharging with AA batteries. Yesterday the phone was completely dead. I was only able to see bootloader.
With the help of info available from different posts I tried to flash my mobile(-ATT_Tilt-RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE_3.57.502.2_radio_sign_25.88.40.05_1.65.21.18_Ship). I was successful to upgrade my ROM.
However, once the mobile boots...it shows me Windows Mobile 6.1 with a notice " The device is clearing storage please wait..." and the red light blinking...then after few seconds it gives a pop sound and starts rebooting.
Here are the weird things I noticed.
-I was able to flash my mobile without HSPL.
-WDMC doesn't recognize my device.
-Whenever I connect my mobile to charge/USB it gets stuck at the ATT start up screen with orange light indicating battery is charging. I'm able to see my start up screen only if I disconnect from charger/USB and power on.
Now I'm not able to flash again. Help needed !
My device Info on boot loader :
KAIS1*0
SPL-3.56.0000
CPLD-8
I'm able to see USB on bootloader when I connect to USB.
Thanks in Advance !
Help Please
Hardware damage calls for a hardware solution
If the problem started since you dropped it on the floor then that indicates some physical damage to the device (perhaps internally where you cant see). No amount of ROM flashing or hard resetting will cure this, whats required is a visit to the HTC repair centre/knowledgable phone repair shop. They'll be able to inspect/test the device, come up with a solution and quote to fix it. There are many possibilities as to whats gone wrong and the only way to be sure is to have an expert check it out in person.

Crashing Phone!

I got my HD7 this morning but I have a couple of issues...
Main one being it keeps crashing! Software keeps kicking me back to the start menu! I tried uninstalling the software that crashes and master resetting the phone but it still does it.
I am gonna try and get it swapped over shortly (assuming any stock remaining tonight!) but if I can't is there anything I can do to restore the software?
I did download the O2 UK Ruu software but it won't see the HD7 and asks for it to be connected by active sync which windows phone 7 doesn't use! (as far as I know).
(I also have some dead pixels on the screen in case anyone is wondering).

it is a long shot, but if you know how to put the phone in bootloader mode ( I don't know it for a hd7 ) and than plug in the usb cable , maybe you can flash it than (the same as you can do with a wm 6.* phone ) .
My HD7 keeps turning itself off and back on automatically. Haven't done any sort of reset yet as I only got it from the O2 store this afternoon. I just feel it vibrate on my desk and then I see it restarting (I'm doing work on my laptop and I catch it out of the corner of my eye, so I'm not exactly doing anything on it!).
Hopefully it'll stop...
Unlucky man with the dead pixels on the screen. I guess you can rely on O2's 14 day return period if you're not happy with the phone supplied and they won't issue you with an exchange!

My phone is dead, and I don't know why

So my phone was in a boot loop a while back and I fixed it by restoring my back up boot. I had never flashed a rom or a kernal to my device and ran very few root apps on my phone. So I was texting my woman a picture of two of her kids and my screen went black and my phone was unresponsive. I tried to boot into boot loader and nothing happened. My phone doesnt respond to anything. No boot loader, my pc cant find device, i cant turn it on, the charge light doesnt turn on (and i know my charger works). Is there any way to fix this problem? If not will AT&T honor my warranty? I heard the phone is a ***** to take apart and it doesnt have water damage or anything i have no clue what happened to it. Am I screwed or can I get them to replace this device. Any personal experience with my carrier would be amazing. Thanks so much guys. I'll be checking back frequently as I want to get the phone fixed ASAP.

If the device is still under warranty they should be able to give you a new one. Call att. tell them what happened they would probably send you a new charger at no cost. since you already know whats going on, all you gotta do is take it to a att repair shop. before you get the new charger of course.

Htc Desire C Mobile Brick?

Hi guys, ive made an account on here just to ask this question as im stumped
So my phone, HTC Desire C was less than a year old, about 10 months, and it suddenly just stopped working. The phone does not charge or turn on. However, it has been recognized by Windows but has failed to install the drivers. Im quite a PC nerd so ive gone around the long way to install the drivers by hand, still nothing. The error that Windows displays is "This device cannot start"
The phone does not boot into bootloader by power on switch and volume down
The phone does not display the HTC logo when turning on
The phone is pretty much a mobile brick; useless
Ive tried:
Charging for hours on end
New charger kit
New battery
Everything to get this phone to turn on or even to open the root folders on Windows.
The phone is rooted but i cannot tell you anything specific. Ive forgotten what i done to it. I do know that no custom roms was on the phone.
Is there any way to get the phone to come back alive?
Also, ive contacted HTC by Email and they have said that I should bring it to them. However, the fees that it will cost will most likely be more than the phone by it self. Id rather try and fix it and save me some cash. The phone isnt important anyway, I rarely use it
Any help will be much appreciated
