Does anyone know how to successfully remove any of these hacks? I have installed one that shuts off the screen and it has now eliminated my voice alerts via my bluetooth. It is a pain. I have tried uninstalling, but then I get an error that pops up continually. I unfortunetly did not back prior to the hack.

I saw your post and I made some teste on my tilt.
I was a big fan of HTC today, but I always loose my contact tab on today's screen when making few changes. Until,I found a alternative today's page. Im using SPB phone suite 4.0.
Your problem can be solve by using SPB phone suite.
If you already disable your PTT and regedited your button 6 you can ignore the step below.
1. just disable your PTT.
2. goto settings-> button -> you will see "add buttons" option.
3. click on "add buttons" to map your button6 for click/hold (two buttons).
4. on the selection you will see
[Backlight down]
[Backlight loop]
[Backlight up]
I choose Backlight down for testing and it did dimm the backlight when I click on my button 6 (PTT button).
I think for you would be "Backlight loop".
I really found Backlight on button6 is quite useless because I do need my voice command for calls and apps. Hold button6 for recording conversation.
I have mine Backlight icon on today's page, so I already have quick access.

if its installed on your device open your sip and click on the small arrow beneath the keyboard icon on the bottom of the screen. there you can choose the differnet input methods
i thought it came on the stock rom? did htc remove it for the diamond 2?
i have no option for it on my phone at the moment. (i have not dowloaded that application)

I discovered a (not bug free though ) fix to the 4 column desire.
Problems:
The start menu is activated on selection of program shortcut
Adding or removing shortcuts activates the All Programs tab which then locks the Programs tab - restart TF3D to fix this (toggle Today menu item - select ok each time)
Please don't try to load the XVGA patch (it's probably not generic) - I tried and it made the Programs tab all disappear.
There's 3 patches
1. AllPrograms_Tab - Credit to showaco
gives you 4 columns on the Programs tab (the favorites)
also for All Programs but DO NOT USE this 2nd function or else the 1st one freezes.
2. The regedit for the standard WM programs (also Settings will be 4 columns) is commonly found.
3. adding the standard WM Start Menu

Hi,
After I updated to the latest EnergyROM my HW keyboard stopped functioning correctly.
Instead of getting numbers when I pressing the row of the numbers I get symbols such as @ if I press 2, _ if I pess 3 and etc.
If I press 1 it takes me back to the start menu.
If I press / I get ?.
If I press FN it takes me to the Calendar screen.
If I press SMS/MMS it takes me to the Contacts screen and etc.
If I press CAPS the FN light turn on and etc.
How can I solve this strange problem?

If you own a Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the Fuze layout enabled by default.

Hi guys, have a problem here, which should be really easy to solve, and that's why I need your help.
Just flashed a new WM 6.5 ROM to my X1i and I would like to change the softkey assignment of the lower right key on the touchscreen (not the silver one mounted to the case).
AFAIK I need to perform these changes in the registry:
you can easily change it by the following steps...
- use any reg editor program
- goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CClock
- change SK2TEXT from "Set" to "Comm Mgr." (no quote) or any word you like e.g. Wireless Mgr., Comm Manager
- change SK2URL from ":MSCLOCK;AppRunToHandleNotification" to ":MSWRLSMGR" (no quote)
- exit reg editor program
- soft reset

now what I want to do: the description above attaches a different comm manager to the button than the normal (by normal I mean the grey one dividet into rows, starting with phone and ending with data connection).
I would be very grateful if somebody would tell me what I need to write under SK2URL in order to attach the normal commmanager to the button; therefore somebody must enter te registry and check what I have to enter there to get the normal comm manager to work again (of course if somebody has the commmanager attached to the softkey)
a hard reset won't do it because that's how the rom is cooked.
