Belt clip/case for Ameo - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo Accessories

Hi All, Thank You for such an informative and helpful forum.
Does anyone know if there is a case available for the Ameo that incorporates a belt clip?
Many Thanks
Tim

I think you won't put that device unto your belt. Coz it will heavy and to big

I would rather have it on a belt clip than get it squashed in my pocket

Check out the PDAir case, I've seen it on ebay. It has a belt clip.

But I think it has no belt clip
You can see the case on: http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000092&products_id=5551

Both these ebay auctions for the PDair case mention a removable belt clip.

Maybe am getting blind because I did not see mention of BELT CLIP

Now I'm confused... Are you saying you STILL can't see any mention of a belt clip?

Thanks Pantaloonie, the second link clearly states 360 belt clip.
Cheers Tim

Me too. The Ameo is costing me a fortune... 4gb Mini SD, leather case, spare battery, 4 in 1 USB cable.... and the docking cradle will be £70 when Expansys get them in stock.
Sigh.

Well the PDair case arrived, it smells lovely, but no belt clip

I wish I could. I've been looking, but they just don't seem to exist, yet. I do hope when one is made, it is made WELL, because I sure would hate for it to fall off of me, which I've had happen with previous phones from time to time. If I find something, Ill definetaly post it here.

I been searching for a belt pouch for my new toy like all you guys, going through all the IT mails, phone accessories shop, shopping mail, backpacks, shoulder bags, sling bags, waist pouch etc and NO luck.
Been trying, taking in & out my phone, and ..... XXXX I droped it on the floor, not too high, but got 2 very small dents by the both sides ....
Finally found this camera shop that carries Lowepro brand, and got lots of camera bag/pouch that able to fit, went throught lots, minus out the zipper kind(hard to access & might scratch the unit), minus out hoz design (too wide), minus out colorful one (not professional look), minus out those bulky one, shortlisted 2 model that fit Dopod U1000 well (top load vertical design), velcro flap, both black and professional enough to wear with pants (i think ?)
U1000 size, 9.5 x 2.2 x 13.4 cm
D-Pods 50, size (Interior): 8.5 x 5.5 x 14 cm, stretch fabric, snug fit, hard to take out as the width is a bit tight (stretched), I like this coz the material (got protection), http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Camera_Pou.../D-Pods_50.aspx
SlipLock™ Pouch 20, size (Interior): 9 x 4.5 x 14 cm, this fit nicely, easy to take out, but less protection, http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Accessorie...M_Pouch_20.aspx
Both of them got space to put your BT or wallet, but the SlipLock™ Pouch 20 is thiner, so finally bought the SlipLock™ Pouch 20, retails S$30, but can get cheaper.

Cheapest holder for Dopod U1000
I have found the cheapest holder to hold/carry the Dopod U1000. Went to a seminar recently, and as usual, they will give out badges & landyard for the registered guest.
Guess what, it fit the Dopod tightly and nicely, can even click on the screen with the plastic cover.
You can find such landyard with holder in most stationery shop

I had a look at this one but I don't think it has a belt loop??
Can you confirm that it has?
Thanks
Tim

Yes, it have a belt loop with double velcro. I paid only USD$10

I use an original case for the T-Mobile 6315. It's old PDA that I used to have.
Similar cases for the 6315 fit the HTC Advantage
http://www.gomadic.com/t-mobile-ipaq-h6315-h-6315-case-leather-belt-loop-swivel-clip-holder-k.html
You might search for Ipaq 6315 cases

Thank You Both for your help.... The Ipaq case is exactly what I'm looking for...can you please confirm that the Advantage fits correctly/neatly into it?
Thanks

Athena pouch/case

Hi everyone,
It seems that our PDA's are the same size as a NAVIGON 7100 (see here), so if you go into ebay and put that in it comes up with the right pouch (370031956312) and these even had a belt loop. When I get one I will post up what they are like!

Ive just got mine, build quality is not great but for the price is ok.
Its a tight fit, taking it out is fine but replacing it neads care.
The belt loop is only double stitched and I dont know how long it would last. Perhaps if you are an office worker then it would be fine, but climbing in and around cars for me it might have to be back to my old krusell horizontal universal pda case.
I looked at all the different cases for the Advantage and finally
settled on the PDair.
I belong to Aximsite so used their discount number and paid
$39.00 + delivery,it is very good quality with keyboard
storage and adds protection via its padded leather case.

Zip-up padded leather case
For those who don't need a belt clip, I found that the zip-up padded leather case that came with my iGO Stowaway folding keyboard (e.g. here at Expansys) is a perfect fit for my x7500. The keyboard doesn't really need a case, so I just keep it loose in my "portable office bag" along with its sister BT mouse and some A2DP speakers.
The case protects my Athena nicely while it's in my pocket at all times, and as I have BT-8010's I can pretty much control the phone side exclusively from them. Now just need to get me a MBW-150 bluetooth watch and I think I'll have it wrapped up...

Hi again,
Just to update on this pouch case. This guy has a 100% ebay feedback score and only charges $2.95 postage to any international address. I contacted him to make sure it was correct. If this case fits the athena then its a bargain.

Cheap Leather Cases Recommendation

I bought this one and it fits, and it's solid and reliable and convenient.
Most functional case I've ever had for a cell phone. It simply works, and I don't even think about it anymore.

the silicone case wont fit. it has magnetic clasp. I have no problem with gps even with the magnet.
I found an old Sidekick case that fits the HD2 perfectly. I got mine off Ebay when a seller was selling them for just $1, but they are no longer selling them, I guess they sold out.
But this web site which I've never purchased from has the case for $8.99.
I got this for under $8.00 2 months ago and it fits well. I like it and will buy it again when it breaks.

Someone else reported that the plastic clips were so tight it damaged the additional clear skin protection. How tight is it with the invisibleshield? Can the HD2 be removed and replaced without damage to it? Thanks
yes, it is tight. but if you're careful, it can be removed easily.

I just received this today for my TMOUS HD2. It fits perfectly, it's snug, yet slides in and out easily. Magnetic flap, and rotating belt clip. Craftmanship is not half bad for the price.

I'm using it with a full body Invisible Shield and it looks like it still has a little bit of room to spare, especially if the phone is facing inward.
is there a case that has a space somewhere that i can store the usb charging cable/headfones?

Best "Impact-ready" HD2 case ?

So what is the best "WW3 Ready" case for the HD2 ?
I know for the Iphone we have Otterbox etc, what are the top 3 for the HTC HD2 ?
It needs to protect it from a fall on concrete and look cool.
Thanks !
try this!

In my opinion the best compromise between cool look and good protection is Otterbox.

This morning I have just received my Defender case from Otterbox (a little hacked off with them because I only ordered my Commuter from them three weeks ago because they told me there were no plans to release a Defender - hey ho!) and man is it rugged! Check it out on their website. It is basically a high impact plastic two part inner with built in screen and lens protection (no need for stickons, although I have left my adhesive protector on and the capacitative screen still works perfectly through two layers of protection), plus a full wrapround silicone outer. But forget the crappy feel of cheap skins, this is seriously high quality and wonderfully tactile. And boy does it protect! I decided to throw my HD2 across the office this morning just to test the new case and it just bounced! It comes with a belt clip which the whole phone clips into, so if you don't want to use it you don't have a bulky clip permanently attached to your case. The hardware buttons work perfectly (the outer skin has button pushes moulded in) - they feel more positive than the ones on my commuter case too. There is an easy access flap over the usb and headphone ports so no dust ingress. It does add a lot of bulk to the phone but it looks and feels great. I'm going to hang on to my commuter for when I need my phone to slide neatly into my pocket, but I suspect it will be wearing the Defender most of the time now. It is not cheap but well worth the price to protect a £400+ phone. If you are into active pursuits (or just accident prone) buy this case!

My only query with these 'rugged' cases is that I see it more likely for my phone to be dropped in water or get splashed on out in the rain of here Merry Old England or the downpours of India then get run over by a 3 ton forklift (yeah, this is the sort of testing they do!)
So my question would be are the otterboxes water-resistant (not waterproof i.e. can it withstant around 1 minute immersion in water?

Takes about 15 seconds to remove the case and 45-50 seconds to put it on as the outer silicone skin needs to be fitted around various tabs and into channels to ensure the case is splashproof.

What is the difference between the cummuter and the defender ? Is the commuter much less protective ?
Also, does the "International Otterbox HD2 Defender" fit the T-Mobile HD2 ?
Defender
commuter is just like rubber skin,, defender has the inner case to protect hd2.. No, the international is only for Telstra & t8585, not us tmobile
Thanks !
So what is the second best protection case available for the T-Mobile after the Defender ? (Seeing that Otterbox dont make Defenders for T-Mob)

[Q] Best NS Holster/Pouch (any experience?)

I recently picked up a new 9020a for ATT and need a holster/pouch to carry it in. I will not be using a screen protector or additional case so that is not an issue. I found a lot of reviews here for cases but not much on pouches (unless I missed them). The question is simple, does anyone have a suggestion for a holster/pouch that fits perfectly with the NS.
I found this Samsung holster on BB's website but I am not a fan of the button snap. I prefer magnetic (definitely no velcro). Something similar would be great...+10 internet points if your suggestion comes in brown.

I will look forward to your review. I am not quite sure how this works? Do you put the pouch in your pocket and then pull the whole pouch out when you get a call...then pull the phone out of the pouch? I am always playing with my phone so this would get old imo.
It seems I would want a more traditional one with a belt clip, but thank you for the tip.
So my review is done if u want to have a look
And yes i have the pouch in pocket so when u need the phone 1st pouch out than phone out fro pouch
But I use to have HD2 in original leather pouch for almost 2 years so I use to do it all the time

otterbox like case or any hard cover w belt clip

hey guys so i am loooking for a otterbox like case for example i want a hardcare that can with stand hard fall as i drive from a forklift and work allows me to have headphones in only one so i can hear people yell at me when i run **** over lol, but seriouly i am looking for something like the otterbox with a belt or clip holster (easy access) and access to headphone jack as well whitch the otterbox failed miserably at, i found a few hower they didn't make it for the note only the s3 seems like this phone is lacking cases in this design as well so any and all help would be greatly appreciated as i ran into a dead end.
what's the problem with the otterbox?
the headphone jack is perfectly accessible for me.
Look into Seidio CONVERT Combo, check out main review link in my signature. You get SURFACE for light use and CONVERT shell on top of it for extra protection and one of the best belt clips with lockable latch. Plus, you will get a kick stand, a soft plug/cover for headphone, micro-usb, and camera port (no strain on your cables like Otter), and when you pair up with VITREO tempered glass screen protector - it's ultimate!!! And like a said, at work use the full CONVERT suit. When you get home, strip out CONVERT layer and you got a slim SURFACE protection layer. Based on your requirement, it's the most flexible solution.

Keep in mind, clip is removable and replaceable. Plus I remember Seidio mentioned about bike mount and car mount prototypes that clip right on to a holster when clip is removed.
I will use no other belt clip other than seidio. I've been sold on them for my last 3 phones. My job can be a bit rough on belt clips and theirs has always held up.

both "denfender" and "survivor" were from case-parts/tvc-mall The last time I checked, "survivor" was still listed in there, while "denfender" (intentional spelling) was removed from Note 2. Hit them with email, they might still have it Otherwise, you might have to search through alibaba.com sellers, although those don't take paypal and to search in there you need to get creative with spelling (like otterering or ottered) lol!!!

Think I found it!!! All the reviews say all 5 stars what is your opinion of it good quality study clip?? What cons do u have for this puppy

Oh, no, that clip is a junk. Don't even bother. The case is bulky and will help your N2 survive a nuclear attack, but belt clip is a joke. Survivor case was designed by Griffin for S3 and this N2 version was unofficially scaled up by HK manufacturers for a bigger N2 design. If belt clip is your priority, this case is not for you.

How about looking into an alternative of belt clip pouches? One of my other review threads is up now at the top of the forum with a discussion. That vertical pouch is actually not bad since it's easy to get phone in'n'out with a velcro flap, you can keep it on a belt clip to take it out, or belt loop to keep it permanently, and its vertical and secure. Works with any slim to bulk cases. The ultimate solution would be to have zerolemon rugged case that will support belt clip as well - would be the best of every world to have endurance and protection to the Nth degree. But the only info they released so far is that rugged case will accommodate original slim, double width, or triple-capacity ZL battery, while we are not sure if it will have kickstand or holster yet. A couple more weeks of waiting.
