USB mouse pointers on advantage... - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo Accessories

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone managed to get a mouse pointer when using a USB external mouse.
My Microsoft Optical is great, it seems to speed up my device !?!?....by a noticable margin as well over the touch screen!<>!>!>?!?
That is pretty crazy......
But even though it is theoretically a great addition.....I still cannot see my mouse pointer.
What a crock.
Anyone got a work around?
Muchos gracias

9.2" touchscreen headrest monitor

Assuming the USB input for the touchscreen works with the Athena, this could be a nice in-car dash accessory. It would make GPS/map use really sweet, and phone dialing easier. $195.
Anyone want to test it?

that would be pretty cool
I keep talking myself out of buying it. At $195 its almost cheap enough to get even if the touchscreen part didn't work with the Athena... but then I would talk myself into getting a mini-PC, and at that point I could have just bought a cheap laptop.

as long as the usb output act's like a standard pc mouse it works. and thats where the problem starts the manual (see the grey box at right side at the bottom) says somthing from 'install the usb drivers first!' so i think there is no luck with these thing. elsewhise a cool idea as an addon in the car.
greet's mad
I figured it would come down to a driver issue for the touchscreen. Still an off-chance it might work out-of-the-box, or that the company offers a WM driver.
for me, i think that would be a bit expensive, i bought a car headrest monitor at Eonon.com, which just need $175USD!

Is it possible to connect a USB keyboard to a Diamond?

Is this (as title) possible, I mean there are these foldable silicone keyboards wich are small and easy to take with you, but is there any software which makes it work?
Thanks in advaced
Willem
I was able to achieve this with my TyTn II and my diNovo edge. But as far as Iremember the behaviour was quite strange with non standard char (àéô...).
I tried just 5 minutes, just wanted to see if the dinovo edge was able to achieve it.

Some say there is...
Ouatch, sorry guys; I didn't paid attention. I connected it through bluetooth and not USB.
As far as I know HTC devices does not have USB host capability so it should be impossible to achieve this through USB.
Athena does
and of cause htc shift
I believe the diamond must have a USB host, if you look at the service manual, there is a option to flash the phone with an external SD Adapter, there is only one logical way i can see this happening,
USB Host
I think we just need to wait to a driver or something to activate the host function in diamond!
USB Host Cable
any conclusions yet? does this mean that the diamond has hardware in it, but does not have the driver? have anyone tried this cable? http://www.nazo-fjt.com/ptcep/w-zero3/es_usb.html
it's in japanese though, but in seconds through babelfish, it is readable in english.
anybody?

on-screen mouse for X1

Hey all any one able to help with the creation of a mouse pointer for the X1 that uses the optical pad for control?
IIRC there was one I tried many months ago, but it was really bad. I think that the optical thing only returns one dimension at a time, so don't go thinking you can use it as a track-pad. At least, it did not work on the mouse pointer I had. It worked kinda like the one in Opera 10.
I'm sure you can dig it out with a quick search. It was not specific to X1 -- which maybe why it only ran in 4 directions (but, again, I am 99% sure that is a limitation on the hardware or device driver).
Virtual Mouse, I thought that was the name.
Ya I tried the virtual mouse its shareware and only was u/d/l/r and you are so right it wasnt that good.
There's no other one for the X1 like in the Samsung Omnia.

Bionic HD dock with Touchscreen Monitor

Hey Guys I have quite the idea for a car stereo interface and was looking for some input. I want to find out if an external touchscreen(with USB output) would be able to be connected to the Bionic HD dock as a mouse would be and control the phone. I'm not too sure on how the touchscreen monitors output positioning and such. I'm hoping it would be a mouse like x y axis.
Thanks for any advice.
hmm me thinks you need a touch screen with HDMI input... but IDK you might run into issues with drivers...
Try it
HDMI needs to be the video output but why wouldn't the touch screen be the mouse. The only issue i can foresee is the drivers for the touch screen, you would have to find a compatible Linux version (Ubuntu).
I just ordered a 7" monitor form Xenarc to do this very thing. But I am making a motorcycle display out of it. Will let you know if it works after I get the screen in next week.
Where you at Wheelman? Anxiously waiting to hear if this Xenarc monitor works.

Easy projection - Wireless Keyboard/Mouse

Hi all,
Sorry if this has already been covered and, if so, please point me in the right direction but I'm struggling to find a Wireless/Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to use when using Easy Projection.
All of the ones I've seen have needed to facility for a Nano Connector and I don't have a HDMI hub with a USB port on it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's why you do not buy a wireless keyboard. You need to make sure it clearly says Bluetooth keyboard, that one doesn't need USB. I have one, it works very well and feels good.
