New ExtROM 1.22.170 WWE for Orange France for SPV M2000

Hi there!
I got from a friend working at France Telecom in Paris this extended ROM for the french SPV M2000.
The ROM is in WWE and supports the AZERTY keyboard built-in. It has the latest Bluetooth patches and all customizations for Orange France (network settings, MMS settings, Button 9, etc.)
Unfortunately, this ROM won't be available for Orange custumers because of French laws (I believe because of "Loi Toubon", stupid law to protect the French language). It's an internal release for France Telecom.
I'm uploading right now the zip file at this address:

I've seen a couple of interesting things in this ExtROM, like a patch for battery life, some registry modifications for Bluetooth and GRPS, the hardware AZERTY keyboard is now supported with a WWE ROM -as with my keyboard patch- and you can choose now a connection to Orange World or a connection to Orange WAP. The default connection is Orange World.
I have installed yesterday night and I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you will enjoy it also.

En effet, cette ROM est meilleure que la ROM proposeé en Belgique par Dangaard (1.22 557): Son Bluetooth d'haute qualité, le problème avec le micro reglé aussi, la gestion de l'utilisation de la baterie, les paramètres de connexion à orange, le clavier en français et je suis sur que je n'ai pas tout vu encore. Bonheur!

:roll: Oops, I was so exited I forgot to post in English. This ROM is just great. BT High Quality sound, the problem I had with the microphone is gone, the battery life is better, all GPRS, WAP and MMS settings, the keyboard patch and probably other things I haven't notice yet.

Aahhh,but the big question is...... does it work on pda2k with the U.S carriers? I am on cingular, and I don't want to screw anything up. 8)

Well, I don't see a major interest in using this rom with mobiles other than Orange (france), unless you delete the customized cabs for Orange (Orange_WWE_Customize.sa_041203.CAB and Button9.CAB)

SPV M2000 Swiss
Do you think I could install on a Swiss Orange (German) M2000?
Country code errors? etc...

what is exactly Button9.cab ?

Button9.CAB sets the button 9 of your phone (the one with the Internet Explorer logo on your built-in hardware keyboard) to access directly to http:\\www.orange.fr\ site
If you go to the "Settings" menu and you click on Buttons, you'll see that Button 9 is assigned to "orange"

Hi there,
It's now more than a week I'm using this version for Orange France. I just wanted to tell you it's really a very good version.
Many of my previous problems have completely disapperared. If you have a SPV M2000, your operator is Orange France and you like a version in English, I highly recommend this ExtROM.

What's that new AKU2, and what copmany is it from? Qtek, i-mate?
There should be a portuguese Qtek9100 rom on this site's ftp. If not tell me so and i'll try to upload the file I have on my computer.

The new ROM aku2 it's for the Qtek 9100 "Wizard", was developed by Qtek.

yes ,is a pc file made from an sd card dump,and in order to use it you need to reverse the process,you also need to
know the size of the sd card that was original made from.if you have a normal portuguese rom or a .nbf file please upload or pm me.

rom 1.6.7.3 ptg no aku2.guys i need need help tp upload it to the ftp dont know how.

Probably all you need is to login to the ftp server and put the file into the upload dir.
The login and password are both "xda"
You can find the address on the wiki.

Sorry, just realized now that the login isn't xda, but xdaupload:
so use:
login: xdaupload
password: xda
server: ftp.xda-developers.com
You should get something like this in the end if you use internet explorer:
ftp://xdaupload:[email protected]/

[REQ] Windows Mobile 6 on O2 XDAIIi (Alpine)

I know, windows mobile 5 can not be used on Alpine, as Pug and other developed has tried a lot. Can we think about WM6 on alpine? May be this will work?

I have a Himalaya sucessful upgraded to Windows Mobile 5.0, after a long time using WM 2003 SE. I also have a Alpine, which is using the same WM 2003 SE Version without Problems (just got this Device), so the Drivers should be the same.
Why can this Device not be upgraded to WM 5.0, if it is working on older Models?

because the older models had wm5's leak'd from ms/htc which included the drivers for the hardware model
this never happent with alpine
with ce5 which wm2005 is based on the whole driver model was changed

Alpine latest "POSSIBLE" ROM ...
Hi guys,
I recently revived my few-years-old i-mate PDA2 (Alpine).
However, the OS is a mess; I am stuck at the align screen, and every time I align it it requests to align again!?!
I realized after searching through this website that there are no ROMs beyond WinCE 2003
Well, where can I find it? I need to reflash my device!
Besides, does anyone have an idea how to get out of the align screen?

I tried so many combinations but all I get is a soft reset!

si te refieres ala parte de vindows vista puedes ponerle otro sistema opertaivo en tu lenguaje.
si es para la parte de snapvue, creo que ahi si estamos de mala suerte pues aun no hay ninguno en español.

if you refer to the vista side you can install an operative systm in your native language.
if its for the snapvue side we are out of luck since there is no ROM available for it...yet.

First of all, liberate your snapvue by following one of these guides:
Enabling full WM the REALLY EASY SHIFTpack way
Full Instructions for getting WM6, RealVGA, Office and IE
Then follow this guide to be able to flash a new ROM:
Shift Project Release: SSPL and HardSPL - the way to custom ROMs and more!
Finally, choose a custom ROM you would like to flash. The shift has a built in GPS that will be enabled if you choose a ROM that supports it.
[ROM] plirom v2.00 WWE 1.22.405.0 96dpi
[ROM] liberated snapvue + GPS WWE 1.22.405
[Dec 13 - Alpha2] Project Blackstone for Shift - Windows Mobile 6.1
Read the different ROM threads before deciding which ROM you would like to flash.
Aquasesh also posted some tools you might like to install after flashing a new ROM:

LED indicator-missed calls: 5 min. only

I just upgraded my Diamond2 to win 6.5 and found that I can't change the missed call and new message LED flash time setting from 5 minutes to "no limit". If I miss a call or an SMS and do not look at my phone within 5 minutes I can't know it without waking up the phone.
Any solution?

The solution is:
Enter registry HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{}
The Reg folders which look like this {0DCD...} are the different notification options.
Start from bottom and go up. The ones you are looking for have the key AvailableOptions in it. Change to 0.
You can see what you are changing by opening the key Default.

Ahh but at least there is a fix via the registry. Never really dabbled in other phones from Nokia or Apple - do they offer this level of tweaks?

I use Total Commander registry editor. Very good app and completelt free.

You can change pretty much anything with a registry editor on Windows phones, it's the reason many people like them. You do need to be very careful though as with desktop PC's, changing the registry is permanant and makes it easy to mess up your phone.

Entrar no registo do windows em: HKey_Current_user\ControlPanel\Notifications\
aparece uma lista com varias notificações tipo {qualquercoisa}.
Seleccionar uma a uma alterando onde diz "AvailableOptions" de "11" para "0".
Na linha "Key Default" mais acima, indica qual a notificação que está a ser alterada. Alterar apenas as notificações que se pretende.
Sair do registo.
Depois, indo a sons, a opção de Luz Intermitente já está activa, e poderão escolher outro tempo limite.

I don't know total commander... but the registry is in the root level of the phone.
Move UP until the end, and look there for the registry.
