Battery charging all the time

Hi everyone I`m new to this forum and new to all this stuff
So I hope I post this in right place, becouse I think it coul be solved with upgrading or so (is it really?)
So here is the fact:
I just got used qtek 9100.At beginning it didn`t charge at all.(but when I tested it it worked just fine, until the battery run out of juice)SO I charged it in other ways(my brother works with electronics so he just knew the way how to do it.)
And when I put it it my PDA it shows that it`s charging all the time....well some times-rare-it shows full battery.
And when I connect the real wall-charger-nothing happens
it don`t charge at all!even if the battery is fullcharged or compleatly empty.
So theres question-is it foult of hardware or can it be fixed with some soft?
Thanks for your help already
have a nice day.
.
Sorry for trouble, but i found the way-disabling the usb charging.
Sorry for trouble
No actually disabling usb charging didn`t resolve it.The battery isn`t charging at all!the only way is to take out the battery and charge it in other ways.
IS there any other ways?

battery is Full, yet PDA not working

Dear Sirs
I have Himalaya Pocket-PC, and since few days, it stopped working although the battery is full, when connected to charger, it starts showing 100% and charging... yet when disconnected from AC charger, it shots down..
I measured the voltage of the battery, was around 4volts..
I even discharged one battery, when installed to PDA, it showed 0% and charging, but it is not charging...
I have 3 batteries, all new...
can anyone help me, or guide me on how to solve this matter.
appreciate it highly
how about the backup battery?
Did you ever think that it might be the backup battery that might be dead?
Did it ever give you problems?
Dont be affraid to dismantle the himalaya and check the backup battery.
The service manual(in pdf -for opening the himalaya) is here [ is . gd/axwEl ] (stupid mod rule says i cant post links)
By the way-if you fix it you owe me an extra battery
cheers

Battery is Full, yet PDA not working unless hocked to AC charger

Edit/Delete Message
is your internal battery full?
remember if himalaya have two batteries . .
How can I know that, I have WMv6.5 and with only main battery indicator, the backup battery does not have an indicator..
yet, if the backup is out, should not I loose all data.. yet I am not,,, when I hock back AC adapter, the system is correct and OK
and feedback please
In my opinion it won't be worth to flash 2k3 anyway, even with "empty" battery.
Anyway, I don't care about any consequences

Battery problem

Hey guys.I just got my Xperia X1 and I noticed that even if I charged my phone to 100% after I unplug the cable (I use my USB cable to charge it) that battery meter goes to 95% the second I unplug it.If I send a text or two it will go lower.By the end of the day it will be around 50-60% left.I tried looking for a fix about that but nothing came up.
Is that a common problem for the X1?BTW the phone is brand new and the battery is the original one that came with the phone.
Thank you in advance
First I think you must charge your (new?) battery at least ten times to get full capacity. Secondly I think I remember there's a way to calibrate the battery. Look in settings or even better the manual or perhaps best, search the forums.
GL,A.D
Thank you for your answer.I checked the forum but not much came up about recalibration.I checked the phones settings and I can't find anything about batery calibration
are you on a stock rom or a custom one?
also if you leave your xperia plugged in once it reaches 100% i believe it simply stops charging, so the moment you unplug it you "real" battery percentage!
No I am using a custom ROM.I always unpluged the phone when it says full next to the battery metter.
thats why I don't like charging via USB - it's unreliable and slow, always was
if someone knows how to solve that with a recalibration pls tell
I think its a problem of usb charging. I get this problem when I charge my phone with usb. I havent had this problem on charger. Maybe you usb is a bit lower voltage, so the battery isnt fully charged, but its not charging anymore so the percentage is set to 100% and rapidly decreases after short usage.
I think if you use a charger and do charge your batter a few times full with charger, the memory effect should go away.
Just correcting lpgsk, it's not the voltage, but the electric current of the USB. If I'm not wrong the charger has a 500mA current.
charger output 700mA @ 5v
My suggestion is, if you have to charge it on USB, you should charge it when its off. The charging current should he higher since part of the energy wont be used to keep mobile standby. Therefor it should be able to get more power to battery.
2nd option, buy USB mini Y-cable. It is 1 miniUSB -> 2 USB cable. So you put the other end to 2 USB slots for more power.
like this:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-A-Male-to-Mini-5-Pin-Y-Cable-for-external-hard-Disk_W0QQitemZ330414581897QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_USB_Cables?hash=item4cee3e6889
this could help, but no waranty it would

It must have been my memory who failed me this time. I can't find any way to calibrate battery either. Sorry for that!
Saw that you're running on a custom rom so I guess the phone is not brand new. Question raised is, how old is the battery?
Searched Ebay for whatever to my x2 and found the batteries (same in X1/X2) damn cheap (fakes or not). Why not buy a new battery and test?

Hey there. The phone was brand new when I got it.It came with the standard WM 6.5 I just installed a new ROM.I tried charging via the wall charger and it seems that the battery lasts WAY longer then charging throw the USB cable.
Thanks a lot guys
PS:One thing (has nothing to do with the battery but I don't want a new thread for that). All my received text messages are with a different time then my phone.I would say around 3-5 hours difference.I searched online and I found more people with this problem but I cannot find a fix for it.Any suggestions?
Thanks again to all of you that answered
Anyone??!!

Extended battery not charging

Hey guys,
I have just brought a new extended battery and cover for my HTC HD2, i got it deliveried this morning, turned the phone off and changed the batterys. i then put it on charge while the phone being turned off, to give it a full charge. The light for charging starts, but then after 30 secs it flashes one orange light then a green one, which suggest its not charging. I have tried charging it via the computer and still get the same problem
Can anyone help me as to what the problem actually is?? as if it is the battery i will order a new one.
Kind Regards
Shane
Ive just put my old battery back in, (standard one) and it seems to be charging fine. does this mean the battery i have is faulty, I have herd sometimes when they havnt been used they dont charge but after using and charging it works.
I need to sort this out as soon as because of trying to return the for another one??
i have the same problem with my spare battery i bought it only charged once and after that it only flashes orange and green. the only solution i found is charging it with my craddle in the spare battery slot (which doesnt work anymore for some reason it doesnt charge either battery so its probably the craddle thats bad so make sure you buy a good one and thats compatible to your hd2 version)or having your phone off while charging. which sucks if you use your phone as an alarm because you have to up in the middle of the night just to switch batterys and miss any late night calls if you know what i mean

Have exactly the same problem. Old battery charges fine, new extended doesn't.
Did you find any solutions? Is it a fault on the extended battery?
Hi guys
I am having the same problem, new extended battery and does not charge just getting the flashing led's, normal battery charges ok!! charge from mains or computer is gives the same result....any ideas???
I had this problem, i was running the stock rom (02 ireland) flashing red and green not charging with the extended battery (official), i fixed it by flashing a new rom.
that tells me its a software issue as the original battery would charge fine and the extended had the issue.

yes its a software issue and if your provider wont let you use the rom update on the htc site then i think until they bring a new rom out for eg.vodafone we are stuffed....
Older ROMs don't support the extended battery.
