pnewbootloader fails - Beetles

I've got a hw6515a. s/n TWC5410CJB, p/n 64003, imei: 357413007715604
GSM doesn't work. Flashing radio stack using HP tools hangs. I can read memory using pmemdump, and have saved the flash image. I have another intermittently working phone that I've also saved the ROM image. I was trying to load this good? ROM image on my non-working GSM phone. A 'bootloader' reset (power+camera+joystick+pinhole-reset), or (power+joystick+pinhole-reset) does nothing different than a power+pinhole-reset. I get the Serial v0.21 screen. Trying to write a new bootloader using the 5.15 (WALLABY) bootloader doesn't work. Has anyone gotten this to work? What checks/addresses would I use to write the WALLABy bootlader to this non-working phone? The phone will still boot to WINCE, but then will (re) load the CAB files, and then after that go to the 'SERIAL v0.21' screen. HELP!

blocked on the boot screen

Hello,
I've tried to update my phone using the shelltool method and my phone crashed during the update.
Now it can't boot. it's freezed on the splash screen.
I've tried to put the CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE rom and it does nothing.
I have a G3 device, the IPL/SPL is now 1.01
Thanks in advance for your help
Flash back to official carrier ROM.
I have already tried using the bootloader method. it tells me that the device is not compatible
Try it doing the storage card method.
I also tried and it tells me I don't have the right
Before the first update, I have made a backup of the OS ROM but the file format is NBA. Is there a solution to reuse my original ROM?
In Addition to the SD method, the bootloader is password protected
Try reflashing the ROM you were flashing in the first post using the RUU in bootloader mode. You shouldn't need to use the shelltool to flash that one. Then when you get that flashed on there do your CID unlock. After that you should be able to flash any ROM you want.
I've tried tu put Button's ROM using the RUU in bootloader mode and its still blocked
Try flashing the wizard love rom then. I'm not sure where it is at the moment, but you can find it on here somewhere.
I also tried this ROM
I have made some research.
At the beginning (when my first upgrade crashed) someone on a chat told me to do a doctest.
No the problem is that the memory is damaged.
When I try a hard reset, I have the message "format is failed"
Any idea?
You've got me on this one, I don't think I've run across anyone else ever having this problem. By the way, did you remove any miniSD card that you had in the phone before flashing? Having one in there while flashing tends to cause people problems.
Also, I just realized that you said that you used sheeltool to flash the first time when you flashed the button rom and that it changed your IPL/SPL to 1.01. Flashing using shelltool won't change your IPL/SPL, it skips those files if they are added to a rom since they are the files that will destroy a G4 device. So, if it did change them then that's where you did something wrong. Why don't you start over and explain exactly what you did on the first flash with the button rom and see if we can't figure it out from there.
OK I'll explain from the beginning
Before beginning the flash, I have made a backup of the ROMs (OS, Radio and Ext) with aWizard.
I wanted to put a french WM6 ROM. In the the tuto, it was told to use shelltool to do this. For an unknown reason, the phone crashed. So I had to reboot the phone because it was freezed and after this point it did'nt boot.
I went on a chat to get help and someone told me to start the bootloader and with mtty enter the command doctest (I think he's a joker becose today I saw this command is very dangerous).
When I saw this command doesn't work I discovered this forum and tried 2 of the 3 methods to unbrick a phone in the wiki.
I can't use the SD one because the boot loader is password protected.
I also discovered today that the IMEI number doesn't correspond to the label on the phone.
Here is my story .

I'can't use imei check because my imei is invalid
Why do you think your IMEI is invalid? If the only reason is that it shows a different one on the box than it shows in aWizard or whatever program you're using, don't worry about it because that seems to happen quite a bit. Usually it's because it got put in the wrong box. Anyway, you're in luck, I have a program that I believe I downloaded off of XDA which is a version of the IMEI-checks unlocker with the master unlocker code for all wizards.
Well, I was going to upload that tool for you but after trying 6 times to upload it and it failing each time I figured that maybe I should wait a little bit and try again later.
I think the IMEI is different because the one given from imei-checks is different from the one on the label back the battery.
Also, when I tried to order an UNL file with the IMEI given by the unlocker, they told me its a wrong number
Lets try this again.
Still failing to upload. I'm not sure why, but I'll try yet again later.
I sent you in PM the address of my ftp server

HELP!! - Stuck on Bootloader mode

I have a G4 Wizard which is stuck in Bootloader mode (i.e. the multi-colored screen).
No matter what ROM I flash onto the unit, it always reboots back into Bootloader mode. I have tried a variety of ROMS including Wizard_Love, and vanilla WM5 and WM6 ROMS.
About three days before this occurred, I had flashed TNT.1933 (Professional + HTC Home) ROM onto the unit. About three days of running TNT I noticed that the cellular radio levels were starting to act up. So I reflashed Wizard_Love with the intention of subsequently reflashing TNT on top of Wizard_Love (this is how I have always performed flashes, by layering the intended flash onto Wizard_Love, and I've never had any problems). Well, this time as soon as Wizard_love had successfully flashed (according to the update utility), my Wizard got stuck in Bootloader mode. It's been stuck since.
I've since tried re-flashing a number of ROMs with no success. The Update utility says that the flashing is successful and there are never any errors, but the Wizard itself always reboots into the multi-color Bootloader screen. I simply cannot bypass this screen.
Any HELP would be appreciated. At this time my Wizard is unusable. And, I really miss it!

Yes, I've tried several hard and soft resets. It still gets stuck at the multi-colored Bootloader screen.
I have had this same probllem with my 8525 atleat 4 to 5 times. The only thing that worked for me was to download the most recent flash for my phone from my carrier. At that point no more problems, I can then flash any ROM I want from there.

Thanks, I thought of that as well. The phone is a T-Mobile (US). Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a copy of the original ROM. The ROM is no longer available on XDA-Developers FTP server and both the forum and wiki links are broken. Also, I can't get it off the T-Mobile web site since it asks me for a T-Mobile phone number, which I do not have. Here's the T-Mobile download page:
http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
Does anyone have an alternate download address for original T-Mobile ROM? Of can someone with a T-Mobile phone number download the file for me. Thanks.
URGENTLY looking for a copy of the original T-Mobile (US) ROM - either WM5 or WM6. I'm stuck in Bootloader mode and I'm advised that reloading the original ROM might revive my Wizard.
Here's the T-Mobile download link, but it asked for a T-Mobile phone number which I do not have (I'm not a T-Mobile customer):

what connection error it exactly displays ?

is my phone (t-mobile wing) really bricked?

My t-mobile wing will only go to t-mobile screen or bootloader screen, which reads IPL 4.10.0002 SPL 4.10.0000. My computer will not recognize it thru usb. I have read about flashing via sd. i am not very tech savy, but i tried to follow what i could find on the forums.
So far found a ruu rom which the phone will try to read but so far doesnt seem to do anything even after hours of waiting.
Also tried different kind of rom, lzx or something, which the phone also tried to read but gave me a error saying invalid certificate.
Is there anything else to do or am I sunk?
Go to Thewingster dot com. click roms, click tmobile wing, click 6.0 click download, it will take you to the tmobile website.
Enter the number located back of phone under battery. Download the StockRom. make sure you enter your phone into boot loader and install the stock rom. You don't need to be Hard SPLed. Should work because it worked for me. After your phone works just HardSPL your phone so you don't Brick it again.
also when its in bootloader it wont have any notification on your computer.
thx will try suggestion
will try. can i extract a particular file and load it via sd card? that is the only connection i have available right now.
Ya the original Tmobile RUU is in the file. I have never Flashed through Sd card so im not sure how that works.

Trying to flash and going nowhere...

Trying to flash to nand but the indicator never goes past 0% on my phone and eventually the program errors out.
ERROR[262] UPDATE ERROR
I can remove the battery from my phone, and turn it back on and it goes back into Windows Mobile.
I can't figure out what is going on...
The ROMUpdateUtility I'm running says version 3.27.4.3 in the title bar. I'm running Windows 7 with UAC disable and as an administrator.
The only thing I noticed that's strange is when it analyzes my phone, it doesn't tell me the 'name' of my ROM or whatever, it's blank. I'm running the WM6.1 Alltel ROM (official)...
I unlocked my phone a long time ago... Could it have failed, and that be the issue?
Hi,
First, confirm that your phone is unlocked.
Go to bootloader to confirm that you see: 2.31 CoKe MFG
If is unlocked, then boot back into WinMo and copy your .nbh file to the root of your SD card and rename it to VOGUIMG.NBH.
Then go back into bootloader mode.
When it enters bootloader mode, it will recognize that you have the NBH file in the root of the SD Card. Follow the instructions to flash the NBH to your phone.
Good luck!
Note: using this method, you do not need the ROMUpdateUtility.
yeah you will get the 262 error if you didn't unlock.
If you need to unlock, here is the link that I used.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370
I unlocked... Tried to flash the 3.42.50 radio first and it went to 8% then said the utility couldn't be used to flash my phone and my phone reset... ARGH...
Going to try the android now...
And it worked... Guess the radio file I have isn't the right one for the Vogue... Anyone have it?

Very Bricked DIAM500?

I think I have truely bricked the device. I sent the SPC, and did a QPST NAM1 and NAM2 restore from my lost phone. I did make a full backup of the phone, however I cannot use the USB SYNC port since it needs to load the ##DIAG# modem driver for QPST to work. MTTY works fine, but none of the usual commands, roms, radios or factory RUU are helping.
The boot screens red text now says "R NONE" which does not seem good. No matter what SPL, radio, ROM, or RUU I run, nothing lets me restore the QPST backup or start the OS in any way. The phone is frozen on the Diamon Touch screen with the red text (I can take out the battery & phone remains alive with USB power). Is there a dummy radio file that bypasses the bootup checks or is this thing a real brick? See attached; thank you
EDIT: The RUU flash util always shows the current version as blank, even right after an update. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be the case. Thanks
EDIT2: So after tons of searching, I found the actual name of the USB port (its WCEUSBSH001), however the baud-rate cannot be set (it is at -1 but that's wrong). The MTTY command "GO2MTSS" is supposed to enable the HTC DIAG serial interface, but this does not work on the diamond. Does anyone know if there is a "set" command to enable the serial interface? QMAT will accept the name of the serial/usb interface, but it crashes when trying to send almost any command.
If anyone could show me how to set "R" then maybe the phone will boot. I think it's missing part of the pESN or IMEID and this is why it's not booting...
