I have a T-Mobile Wing and was curious if there was a way to add printing when I have access to a network printer.

How to use internet access with T-zones instead of Total internet? (US T-mobile)

I have been searching thru the forum and i can't find any specific information about it
i use windows live messenger, email , and browse with Opera...I do use live search and google map too and i am with the 19.99 total internet plan now..
Just want to see if it is possible to save the 13 bucks coz i don't need hotspot at all....
I have seen posts that about changing proxy and get the internet with PIE to work but it doesn't mention about other programs like tomtom google map live search and i don't want to change it to the T-zones without confirming this.
Could anyone help please?
i'm in the same boat as you, the 5.99 works on my dash, so i'm expecting it to work on the tilt, but i just cant get it to work...now when i open up PIE, it goes from connnecting, to loading to opening, and just stays there and then gives me error #502... so if you figure it out, def let me know, thanks
omar
Same here, I have posted a thread about it already but no replies, Here. Do let me know it thr is any, n i'll do the same.
I can confirm t-zone plan works fine with google map, push mail to exchange servers, browsing using IE, and regular smtp/pop email. The weather update progam on the today screen does not work. On the other hand, SBSH Pocket Weather does work (I let it update throughout the day). NTP time server service also does not work (using CityTime).
1. add new modem connection -- cellular line (gprs, 3g);
2. access point name -- wap.voicestream.com
3. leave password blank
4. proxy settings check "this network connects to internet";
5. check "use proxy server"
6. proxy server: 216.155.165.50
7. advanced: change http port from 80 to 8080
Under network management, set Internet Connection to the account just created above. Leave private network as "My Work Network".
Soft-reset.
If you have trouble with POP accounts, edit each POP account and change connection away from "My ISP" to the t-mobile account.
Cheers
Okay i have tested this setting for T zones and i am trying to add a few details on it.
1st. Windows Live and Windows Live Messenger does not work =/ I guess it is because it doesn't support proxy connection. I am wondering if anyone can somehow mod it or change the proxy settings of these two programs with registry or other means so i can actually use it?
2nd. PIE works right away with the setting, but Opera won't. Later i add the proxy server in the Opera setting then it works like a miracle too=)
3rd. Some other IM site such as communicationtube.net does support the login of msn using T zones...Kind of a substitute even tho the stock messenger works much better.
4th. for 13 bucks/month the only different is probably only on Windows Live and Windows Live messenger....or if someone can actually provide a mod version of these two programs or a tweak that changes their settings. T zones works perfect for kaiser...
I can confirm that GMM works with the method listed in the link below with the $5.99 T-Mobile Web plan and WM5. But "My Location" does not, may be my phone (Cingular 3125) http://www.ehow.com/how_2245457_tmobile-shadow-any-windows-mobile.html

Create a custom "hidden proxy"?

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know how i go about creating a hidden proxy? I tried looking at the settings of the at&t hidden proxy but can't seem to figure it out...
The problem is I cannot use the proxy setting under connection settings because it is already in use. My cellular operator has a monthly data plan of 100MB for 7,5€, but is limited to http traffic. This limitation is enforced by the use of a http proxy.
I'm running a http proxy server at home and would like to chain the proxies so that all requests would be formated to go to my server, through my operator's one. Is this possible?
Alternatively, does anyone know of a program that would allow me to chain proxies?
Thanks
I would also like to know if it is possible to create your own hidden proxy.
I use my tilt on T-Mobile and am also using the proxy to allow me to get unlimited internet access with the T-MobileWeb (Formerly T-Zones) for 5.99 a month.
However, using the proxy I am unable to use Apps such as remote desktop, windows live messenger, etc because for some reason they don't work with the proxy.
I was thinking that maybe using this hidden proxy instead of putting the proxy info in the connections settings would allow me to use these apps.

If you cannot properly setup a visible HTTP proxy (for WiFi), how could you even think about an invisible proxy?
This device is crappy.
Almost
This looks like the beginnings of an excellent application, however, does anyone know of a program that will automatically switch various settings based on GPS location? I have been digging around for months trying to find a solution that will allow me to set up various "profiles" based on my GPS location, e.g. silent/vibrate, medium brightness, gprs connection enabled all other data connection disabled, while I am at work, and wifi on while im in major metropolition areas, and off while not, etc etc.. is this a pipe dream or has anyone stumbled across something similar?
also Im not sure why you want a "hidden" proxy, but this might be your solution:

Three 3 UK Internet on Kaiser?

Hi guys,
I seem to be having problems getting on any websites runing on my Tytn ii. The only ones that seem to work is the My3 Account page and Google. I'm able to browse using google's 'convert a page to work on a mobile' feature. but thats as far as it gets. I can't seem to access the My3 Today and Sevices page too.
Im currently using the following settings.
accesspoint = three.co.uk
and everything else blank
Thanks for you help!
Hi nky
It may be the data package you have on three. For PAYG there's an internet add on and a mobile broadband add on. I assumed the internet add on would probably be limited to simple wap surfing so I bought the mobile broadband add on. It works fine with the settings you said use used. I can browse to any site and also pick up pop3 email through outlook. The ither think to note is that wehen you roam onto one of their partner gsm networks (I do when I'm at home because 3's signal strength is really poor there) you can only access the my3 page. Also like you I've found you cannot view the today and services pages on the my3 site. I guess these are locked to only be usable on 3 branded devices with their client software pre-installed. I've decided I can live with that is it's really normal internet access I want not 3's 'toys'.

Kaiser network printing

I need some help! What programs are the best for printing on my wifi network.
Thanks for the help!
Jetcet printer by far.
I've beeen on the Jetcet printer website. What I don't understand is how you purchase the printer. Do you pay for a application to let you print via other printers, or do you pay to receive an actual printer?
I don't get it

Not all application use WiFi - how can I fix this?

Brief intro:
I've used NoData to stop GPRS connections.
(a useful little tool to prevent GPRS connections, available at: http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-software/246171/new-free-utility/)
My settings are as follows:
Programs that use the automatic Internet use: Business
and same for the private network: Business
So if business is lan, and lan uses WLAN, why do only some applications work and others don't.
Applications that work: gsPlayer, Opera, Internet Explorer
What does not work: Windows Live, Skype, etc.
Please help
Maybe your business WLAN blocks some connections? You should ask your Administrator.
I've used different WiFi networks, it has nothing to do with blockings, it's something to do with the PDA on the PocketPC but I can't figure out what else to do.
I've tried another PocketPC and it works fine, it's a configuration on the HTC Diamond.
Has anyone an idea how to fix this problem? I got the same one and I'm desperately looking for a solution.
