Has anyone been able to install HardSPL v7 on the Treo 750?
Or is HardSPL v7 only meant for use with the hermes?
I need a bootloader so that I can test AT&T Cingular WM6 and so that I can go back to WM5 if necessary and won't end up bricking the phone.

i have the K-JAM G2 version with SPL/IPL 2.16 OS 2.16.9.1 (if it makes any difference).
i want to upgrade to WM6. i was wondering if i at all should. it has a 200mhz processor..
also i was wondering if WM6 can at all be installed on this device since most the roms i stumbled into were for G3/G4 phones.
also, if i try to install WM6 and it doesn't work and i can't load my phone again, how will i be able to flash it back to WM5?

i have a MDA II from T-Mobile (PH10A).
But before i flash it to WM6 i want to know, if its possible to flash then back to WM2003 with my Shipped Romversion of T-Mobile??
I found nothing about that...
And have i to CID-Unlock the device, before flashing to WM6??? (like the other devices???)
Or can i only flash any WM6 ROM here in Himalaya-Forum (and then hard-reset and format the chip in the bootloadermenu?)

never heard about cid locking or unlocking for himalaya
only thing locked on some himalays are sim
i would asume that whatever actions was don to flash the device to wm6
5 or anything will work just fine flashing it back to 2003
just with a 2003 nbf file rather then a wm5 or 6 nbf file

I have dopod 838 which i already upgraded to WM6 (for the first time, since I use PDA ) I'm following the upgrade tutorial from the wiki and I use the WM 6.0 ROM made by mfrazzz.
my question is how to downgrade to WM5 (original from dopod asia)? I already download the ROM but I'm not sure whether i need to downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx like when I'm upgrading it to WM6?
I see another new ROM is released, and i want to switch to that ROM, must I re do all the steps I done when upgrading from WM5 to WM6?
note the IPL/SPL is 3.xx on my dopod 838.

Never go from 3.xx to 1.xx as the SPL might get locked. Stop at 2.xx before downgrading further.
WM5 can work with 1.xx and 2.xx but WM6 only with 2.xx and 3.xx
oh no.. I did re-flash it back to 1.xx per instruction on the wiki. I then upgrade the ROM to T-Mobile ROM which is 2.xx, after that upgrade again to 3.08 then upgrade to WM6.1
the upgrade is success, do I need to check for something? as you said that the SPL might locked?

Sometimes,if you directly downgrade from 3.08 to 1.xx,SPL gets locked and it's very difficult to bring it to 1.xx,so its advised,if your phone is already CID unlocked and upgraded to 3.08,don't downgrade to 1.xx again,but if you want to reflash a new rom and want a solid base like T-mobile,then just downgrade to 2.xx,avoid going down to 1.xx.

i have updated may wizard to wm6.1 (WM 6.1 German Build 20273), but my wlan doesnt´t work and i think it is because i didn´t upgrade ipl/spl from 1.01 to .
i followed this guide "The Definitive Guide to Unlocking & Rom Upgrading G3 Wizards" but i didn´t play wm5 on it.
following steps i didn´t do:
17. My suggestion, take for what it's worth, is to download and install the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM
This will give you a strong 2.26 IPL and SPL to work with.
Now you SHOULD have a IPL and SPL of 2.26 to work with. If not, you screwed up! Don't attempt to install someone's hard work and ***** before you do these steps!
EDIT for Step 17 - Download and install the 3.08 IPL/SPL rather than the 2.26, your choice! (I suggest doing the T-Mobile 2.26 first but that's me

i tried to go back to wm 5, but doesn´t work too.

6. Flash the Rom you just downloaded. There you have it. You have successfully removed HardSPL and reverted back to your carrier's latest rom and restored the CID lock.

just read the first sticky thread in this section where the hardspl is available. in the second post everything you need is written down.
important: first you have to flash the stock rom and finally switch to sspl! the attached file in the hardspl thread (relocker) works fine. i also switched back to tstock rom and sspl for warranty reasons with my tp2 (t-mobile germany)

Yep, you got the process.
Radio's are in the Sticky by At0mAng.
The Stock SPL 0.79 is in the Hard SPL thread (called relocker). cmonex is working on an 0.84 relocker.
When you're done it should be like it was when you got it.
