I am trying to unlock my hw6915 locked to Cingular. I couldn't get unlock code by IMEI, so trying to do it using some software. Is there any tool I could use?
I found the following information:
yo need a coocked rom (unlocked)for:
hw6910/20/50/60
hw6915/25/55/65
Does anyone have such unlocked rom and could share it?

how do you get IMEI number and RADIO version? I just bought this phone from a friend. I am trying to unlock it but no luck

Hi all, i have an AT&T tilt that i bought of ebay that is unlocked, does anyone know if i do a hard reset, will it lock the phone back to AT&T, also does anyone have a program to unlock the carrier from the tilt incase it isn't unlocked after hard reset
I have had a look around and could not find any info so any help would be greatly appreciated

Once your phone is unlocked, it is unlocked for good (theoretically). But no, it will not 'relock' your phone if you do a hard reset.
hi, i was wondering if i update my rom from wm6 to wm6.1 will it still be unlocked, some sites say yes and others say no so i'm not exactly sure.

Please read the thread above advised by 2504X4 ( I have a 350 ) before you read this.
Here is some quick noob relief. Once your phone is unlocked, it will stay unlocked through all hard resets and rom flashes.

Im new in Xda and i also have an Xperia X1.
The Question i need help is this:
I bought the Xperia X1 locked but it was unlocked by Code and the reason im asking is, if i want to use another Rom... but i want to go back to my original Rom, will it still be unlocked??? or should i get another code again???
PLEASE i need your help about this...
P.S. - if there's no need to use another code, can u sugest a fast and stable WM6.5 Rom???

no roms never reapplied simlocks on any htc made device I ever heard about
I fyou have an unlock code from your provider, then you can use it anytime to unlock the phone again, if it locked by a another rom.
None of the roms on this forum will lock your phone.
Hi guys...i'm from Greece and a friend of mine from the UK sent me a new Ace he bought as a present. I dont know if this device can only be used in the English O2 carrier but when the phone boots it shows this carrier's logo. When i enter my pick it says that i have to enter the network lock control key. How do i get it? Is there any way to bypass this? I read about a website that you must pay them and give them your imei to send u the code but i dont wanna pay so much money. Is there any way to unlock it for free? Do i have to root it, or even flash another custom ROM? How do i do it?

Free Way's to do a sim unlock are very very very very very very VERY dangerous therefor avoid them at all cost! pay 15 euros and get him unlock!
Otherwise you'll pay 250 to repair him os simple end up with an styled brick.
Removing carrier trash is other thing ... but that is far easyer and and safer to do!

Go to a shop ... Just dont go to your carrier.
But by a site go to samfirmware ... In the unlock section

Lets begin, to be clear i'm not requestiong any network carrier unlock, I already did with a box unlock, and my question is: Can I use any rom with out loosing my network carrier unlock? I want to try 4.3.1 ( for example) .

Sorry for probably stupid question but I just panning to buy S3 mini with simlock (on O2 UK) and I would to install CM10.x on it.
So if is any problem with install it? Do I need to unlock bootloader first like on sony/sony ericsson phones or root is enough?
I tried to find and answer by search but there are not full, confusing or probably outdated.

Samsung has the bootloader unlocked by default, so you don't need that like in xperia devices. I had two xperias before the samsung too. You can install cm roms with your sim locked or unlocked

First of all hats off to all the contributors of this site. Really, without you guys, many people will be wasting money and wandering around for solutions. This site has amazing content.
So, to start with. I have a Sprint HTC One which says SIMLOCK enabled when i switch it on. and when I insert a SIM, it says some UICC code not set something..like that...
I am in India now, and I want to use this phone with the local carriers here.
Here are the details of the phone:
Model No: HTCPN072
UICC ID : Not available
IMSI(UICC) : Not available
After doing initial research on this forum, I understood that, I need to unlock bootloader first, and then root and flash ROM.
when i go to bootloader (press volume down + power button) the first line shows 'unlocked' on the screen. Does it mean , bootloader is unlcoked?? Please confirm.
All I want is to use this phone in India. I found various methods to unlock, root and flash custom ROMs, but I wanted to go with XDA - but unfortunately, when l opened forums for Sprint HTC One, I see lot of posts and threads, and the result is I am lost. I dont know where to start.
I know you would have answered many questions like this, I dont want to waste your time though so point me in right direction by providing links
I would be grateful , if you direct me to the right threads for this. Also please give me links where we have all-at-one-place.

I see, I have SENSE 4.1.2 , so that works.

Ok read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244060 You have already an unlocked bootloader, so skip this part and go directly to flash recovery (I suggest TWRP)
The recovery will ask if you want to root
Finally install the "Sprint HTC One SIMunlock helper" from play store and follow the instructions
