Short Review of my Bluetooth Headset Jabra BT 250v - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo Accessories

Two weeks ago, I got my new (and first) bt headset.
I bought it on ebay for 30 EUR.
It came without the original box or any instruction manuals,
but that's Ok since you can get the manual on jabra.com
I like its design,
its pretty light and I can wear it for a long time,
without the headset bothering me.
It's much bigger than other headsets,
but in exchange it comes with 300 hours of standby
(smaller headsets often only have like 70-100 hours)
I don't like the design of the charger,
because it's kinda bulky and you can only charge
the headset with the original charger.
(But again, you don't even need to take it with you on a weekend trip)
The headset comes with the normal functions of every bt headset.
Using the 3 buttons, you can:
-accept incoming calls
-dismiss incoming calls
-turn the volume up/down
-activate voice dialing (I never tested this function)
-call last used number
The last function activated ifselt 2-3 times while carrying
the headset in my jeans - thats pretty annoying.
A very decent blue led shows the headset status(off,on, on a call) and batterd status (normal, low, very low).
The best function of the headset is the vibrate function.
This is also why I bought it, because the Ameo lacks this (imho really important) function.
Inside your jeans, the vibrating headset fells like any mobile phone.
Wearing it behind your ear, it feels kinda strange the first times, but you get used to it.
But note: you cannot turn off this function!
The phone quality is okay,
not better than with other bt headsets I've tried.
Your partner sounds a bit distant, but you can understand him flawlessly.
The problem that you partner claims of not being able to understand you
isn't solved by this headset, though.
Please don't understand me wrong.
Using the headset he can understand you without problems most of the time.
But the problem some users have with their Ameo (bad speech quality)
isn't fixed by this headset.
The battery is pretty good,
I've only charged it twice now.
The only problem I still have, is that the battery of my Ameo
is empty within one day (without using the device at all),
when having bluetooth turned on all the time.
All in all, I would definitely buy it again,
because it's a must have accessory,
if you use the Ameo as your primary phone.

Hola,

«It seems the only way to get GPS working is first get a fix using a stock rom.»
Muchos reportan que así les funciona bien. A mi me ha funcionado siempre. A ver si cuelgo un pantallazo ;-).

100dB European sound limitation?

Hello
1st af all, sorry for my engllish, I'm french...
The problem: does anyone know how to remove the 100dB European sound limitation on a Diamond?
I've read on this forum some registry keys to be modified, but that was for the Touch.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
according to what i read in the manual there was a "special" note to french ppl that the sound device followed the rules, dunno if there is on all european or not.
I agree, maybe it's only a french limitation...
If you find the registry trick try it cause if it worked on the TOUCH there is a big chance that it may work on DIAMOND too. If you find the cab ant it works please post it here
the registry keys on the touch are not available on the Diamond...
I've seen this on this Post
Applying the .cab would create them and make them function?
This worked on my touch :
http://dl.free.fr/j8eVjo2h6/Boost-Audio.cab
to go back:
http://dl.free.fr/i1pJUzT91/Boost-Audio_Defaut.cab
Try it you'll see what happen. Otherwise try a WWE ROM instead of the french ROM.
Thanks for your cab but didn't change anything at all...
nobody knows?
I've found the "AudioPara4-HTC-France_V3.csv" file in the Windows folder, should be maybe modified, but I don't know in which way...

100db europian limit?
i wish it reached 100db.
You have any idea how much 100db is?
I have a x-mini speaker and reaches 89db, and it is about 2 times loader then the diamond.
It's a limitation only for the ear headset...and effectively onlu in France...
Maybe a solution, that I wrote on a French forum, it's the reason why I copy/paste it in French
Avec un éditeur de registre, accéder à la clé:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\AcousticFile

That would make the diamond 87db right? Decibels are logarithmic.
Wow, why in gods name would you want to get to 100dB? 100dB is pretty much the limit between light hearing damage and acute hearing damage. Having to work with 80dB for several year already causes irreversible ear damage.

Sometimes it's nice to listen to something loud for a short time.
I also find the volume when listening to FM through the provided headphones very quiet and have to put the volume to about 80% just to get decent sound.
My Tytn 2 was capable of being much louder, so there must be a software limit that can be removed.
Problem is solved.
But the problem was that the sound was VERY quiet even à 100% volume, and that was for me a huge case when I was in noisy environnements. I don't really like In-ears headphones either...
I think you can't imagine this "max" sound level, as your phones are not limitated...no? (and at 42, I know what is dangerous for me or not, thanks)

make it that yhe x-mini is 3 times louder then the diamond.
but how did you solve the problem?
I wrote it above...
Diamond is about 66 Db only both for ring & voice. Its really very far from even being loud.

Low Volume headset

Hello, I just got a HTC S730 .
Here is my first issue hehe.
The volume when I put the headset isn't very high even when I push everything to the max. (volume in TCPMP, volume with the side button and even with that "audio booster" app).
I'm thinking that the volume has been set to a limit on the phone.
Is there a way I can push the volume higher so that even in the subway I can listen to my music ?
Thanks in advance,
Frem
Ok well I found the solution, if someone is interested here is what you need to do :

found the solution for htc s730 and those who don't have the registry key acoustic....:
copy both files AudioPara4_FR.csv and AudioPara3.csv to PC
change the F25 line replacing 409 by 4000.
Copy files to SD card
Copy with total commander to windows directory and remplace existing...
Worked for me !

Interesting, I wonder why some have that low volume, mine gets very loud very easily, even out washing my car I can keep it at 30 - 40% of max and drown out most things and enjoy the music.
Glad you got it fixed though
This volume limitation only applies with the headphones.
My problem is that when I took the subway, even with the volume at max I couldn't ear the music.
This tweak unlocks that limit.
The volume was fine without the headphones.
The files I modified actually mentioned headset:"F25,CE_PLAYBACK_HEADSET".
I'm sure you also have the problem, test it if you can put the volume at max an still be able to keep the headphone on, then it's limited.
Now If I go over 60% I can't keep them on .

Can someone tell me the position for the "490 value" counting from the left or right? Im trying to apply this tweak to X1 but I do not have 490 value.
Thanks

Please don't answer the phone!

Hi,
Soi bought the galaxy gear this week.
And I have a great question: how can I disable the auto answer when there is a phone call?
I answer on my phone, and the sound is on the watch (have to unclick "Bluetooth"on the phone after answering).
What I want: I answer on the phone: sound on the phone. I answer on the watch : sound on the watch.
Is it possible?

When a call comes in, it rings on watch and phone. If I answer on the watch, I can press the leftmost button and it transfers the call audio back to the phone. If I answer on the phone, call audio stays on the phone.
My Gear doesn't auto-answer, but I also have auto-answer turned off on my phone, so not sure if that's related.
My explanation wasn't Good. When à call comes in, it rings on watch and phone too.
If I answer on the watch, I can press the left button and it transfer s to the phone. Ok for this.
If I answer on the phone, call audio is on the watch. And that I'd my problem. Do you have I idea?

Your phone is LG-D802? If yes, that is your problem, because you dont have Samsung gear manager installed.

This makes sense. My phone is a Galaxy S3 and I have Gear Manager installed, so maybe that's why their Gear is working like a standard headset.
