Hi All,
I've tried to update my rom version to 1.22
When I do that, I get an error message: Connection Error.
Now, my Qtek don't boot. When I turn it on, I get a black screen with 2 words:
SERIAL
v2.06
At other threads somebody say that I must flash the rom with MTTY. Where can I download an Rom image? At www.qtec.nu I can only download an InstallSheeld, but I can't use that now because Activesync don't see my device.
PLEASE HELP ME !!

i had the same problem.
what i did was kill the update process in windows and start it again and it worked

i got the same issue and i got over it.
u need to go to search and find this file:
PDA2k_CDLWWE_11222_169_10200_SHIP
then do the installation while your ppc is in the cordl with power supply.

Erase your email if you want to share your mail to anybody pm them please. maybe you can find out the answer but if you post here please ask by this way i know is slow... but many people can check the answer if you all post all the process.

since you already have a problem, please use windows xp for now.
i would try to actually downgrade to stock ROM first (please refer to wiki to get the correct stock from your device)

Hi all PDA and HTC lovers.I have an ALPINE which is stuck on "windows mobile" screen. Thats because I was upgrading a new rom but during upgrade connection between my PDA and my PC was interrupted then I got many error messages on screen but it was too late now I cant get my ALPINE into bootloader mode and I only can see "windows mobile" screen when I plugged charger.Is it possible to make it run my alpine again. I would be very pleased if you could help.

Stuck on window mobile screen
I got similar problem on XDA Exec last week and fixed it. I do not know whether the steps will help on you XDA IIi or not.
I was upgrading the XDA Exec to a newer ROM version and keep getting country error code. Whatever I did caused the device to stuck on window mobile screen. I simply put the device into the cradle after reseting it. The screen still shown the window mobile image. I ran the ROM update program again (I think it is MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe). It showed an error but I ran it again withthout taking my device out of the cradle. It run sucessful the second time.
I notice that when the program runs, it close ActiveSync application from your desktop and the device screen turns to black screen with some simple texts on it.
I hope this help.

which Rom were you trying to install? what was the reason of getting the upgrade interupted/corrupted? I can upload the PUGs rom (as I am using it and its fantastic) if you want with the instructions.

I was trying to upgrade to Alpine_Ext-1.11.162_Radio-1.04_O2stuffstripped_Camera_Fixed

HardReset - this is your only possibility. BTW: WM6 has problems with password. Dont use this security method.

You dont need another rom. Just hard reseset and chose format storage and clean reg hive from the menu. You must press the multimedia and the record buttons before the os/radio version appears for you to get the menu.
I'd bought my htc p3600 pro (black, free from sim-lock & free from any carrier) from London.
As advised by TRINITYGUIDES.INFO site I tried to do HardSPL with all the three available HardSPL files, but of no avail.
When the HardSPL's progress bar comes(on pc) it gives a message on my phone " Enterbootloader.exe....This may harm your device...Do you want to continue.." I pressed yes & the process stopped & gave an error on pc "Error 246 Device not responding" & on phone screen showed the bootloader with

I have flashed my rom befroe to unlock the GPS but I now want to upgrade to WM6.

first of all, sorry for my poor English. I try to explain my problem so good I can... I hope you can help me.
I have the "[Error 246] Device not responding" problem.
I have used a lot the "search"-function and I have found a lot of posts which propose the same solution "restart the Rom upgrade another time". Ok I did it and my PDA works very well, but now I would like to solve the problem radicaly... How can I solve this problem? Should I use SPLexploit (I have found the guide on trinityguides.info) and then reflash a Hard-Spl?

Before flash manually enter bootloader. After start the rom update utility. (As www.trinityguides.info suggest). You will not get error 246 any more

Here is written to flash rom you should manually enter to bootoader. In this case, you will not have error 246.
Most of the people know this, so they have not this problem
Those who not manually enter bootloader can get error 246, and this way of flashing is not as safe as the manual bootloader way.
(because in this case you use the spl uploaded by RUU, not the hard-spl on the PDA)

When i connect my touch hd to pc in active sync mode, then shutdown device an run in bootloader (volume down and power button at same time) i get the tricolor screen and after a while i get the progress bar on my phone and on pc. But i stays on 0% and says 'update error' after a while.

Hi Me has the trinity 3600 as a VPA GPS vodafone branding, and i get the same error message trying to run the bootloader and entering tricolor screen, ---> error 246 aber manually starting into bootlaoder and restatrting the romupdateutil.exe same error 260 no connention...
So you guys have a working version of the updating ?
And please remove all the links which are not working, linking a solve for the 246 problem, there are nomore links available...

I found a way to solve the problem 246 go in you mobile device, -->start -> settings-> connections ->USB to PC open this. Remove the hook @ Advanced networksettings activation! ---> click OK--> close
try again the bootloader etc, then on the tricolore reboot screen is shown USB in the lower white field and the bootloader can do its routine complete.
Have Fun with flashing the phones!
Testet with original German Vodafone available ROM " vpa_comp_gps_RUU_Trinity_VF_DE_1_23_162_4_6275_1_29_00_01_13000_108_Ship.exe "
testet with ZackMcRofls superfast german rom " RUU_Trinity_GER_1.23.162.2_GPS_v3f_by_ZakMcRofl "

First was Zack´s rom, 2nd. was Original Rom, 3. was Trinitys rom, after trxing all, i flashed Zacks Rom again, it was the best in my view.

The display shows v 2.08 somewhere at the bottom of the screen and write SERIAL! When you connect to your PC via a serial cable instead of writeUSB which leads me to believe that it is in download mode. I don't know what to do! Please help me with this problem to solve!

All the programs I've recommended you've downloaded earlier and we did nothing to do with them until today when we've executed on a computer with Windows XP I have a laptop with windows 7 Ultimate and I think it was the reason why we did nothing! Today we managed to restart the windows of the old one by updating the RADIO and then i did update to the Blue Angel WM6.5.x x! We managed to enter in the phone and then drove off, then started installing windows! I did format the memory I set English and more than a few moments was restarted and was blocked, would remain the 3 colors on the screen and the bottom corner data about it. it stuck about 2 minutes and i pulled out the battery and I reintroduced it after that I turned on the phone and he remains all at that stage and doing nothing! This you can see in the attached posting. I want to know what can I do in this case! Expect questions and suggestions!

yes, i know this problem turn out the battery for 1 hour and put it back and it will bootup...

Sorry for the late reply. If it says R: None, G: None... Just reset the device. Let me know if it works.

I upgraded the RADIO and software HTC BlueAngel but so is no longer wants to start installing as it did the first time and it was locked! What should I do so I can install the WM 6.5 successfully or to install other software ...? Waiting for your suggestions and questions!

If you stuck at the 4 color screen put the battery out and wait an hour or two and put it back...

Thank you for your answers and to know that I did this! I kept battery remover for a day and when I pornut him so I don't want to start installing WM 6.5! Why not go to install it? What still needs to be installed on your phone or what else needs to be done and I do not do? I entered in the boot options by pressing RECORD and perform the reset! Showed some features like ENABLE KITL-NO; CLEAN REGISTRY HIVE-NO; FORMAT STORAGE-NO and YES they make room! What can I do here I mean to put YES and NO to that and then how do I save the settings made? Waiting for your answer and questions!

Hello! Thank you for all answers that is verry good and we helped my! The problemn is solved because the WM 6.5 is installed on my Qtek 9090! This is pobsible because with MTTY i'm run an commands on the device and we performe reset the PDA! And sudenly the windows installation is begined until the finished!
