VOIP SIP ON Himalaya WM6 - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Windows Mobile 6 Upgrading

I have upgrade my himalaya with Helmi's wonderful rom AKU 0.7.0!
In the add on i check the functionning of the VOIP from Schaps.
I have tries SJPhone (to big), frings (to fancy), Pocket talk (no sound).
I use the french freephonie from Free.fr to test the SIP voip.
I successfully connects and dial but in communication, there is no 2 ways communication.
I can talk and be heard but i can't hear.
Even with my Bluetooth headset Jabra BT620s.
the microphone is ok but the speaker is not.
Check the set of screenshots to show VOIP 0.3 from schaps is very well integrated in WM6.
The dial Pan does not seems to be working.
The internet tab in the phone option is great at the correct place.
I would like to gather information to make the voip sip working on the great Himalaya with WM6.
Helmi, schaps, if you have any news, updates, informations tests and modifications

works good with just gprs?

VOIP over GPRS
I haven't tried it yet.
It seems that the inter-operability between my ADSL provider (free.fr) and my Mobile operator (SFR) is not possible....
I have been connected on GPRS for an hour playing with VOIP settings and it always remain on No Service.
This mornig I will try X-Pro and skype to check if the audio issue is linked to the WM6 ROM or to the VOIP.
That Why I named Schaps and Helmi...

Voipbuster
Same as you Nerfiaux !
I use voipbuster and everything seems working but I have no sound

I have Himalya (XDA2) and WM6 installed too but cannot get the phone to use my VOIP settings whatever the option i set. Even with phone off it wont use the USB to access VOIP provider? Can someone help?
Thanks,

"works good with just gprs?"
dont think any VOIP works with GPRS the bandwidth is too slow
uuuunnnleeeeeesss yoouuuu speeaaaak veeeerrryyy sloooowwly

Fixed my problem althought i can't get the VOIP to register through any connection, USB/Bluetooth/GPRS... anyone has done it successfully?
I am getting a WiFi SD card for my XDA2, will this work for VOIP?

WM6- IE and Messaging won't connect during phone call...

Before everyone cries "duh, of course GPRS doesn't work during a call!" let me say I'm not talking about GPRS/EDGE.
With PDAViet4, I was surprised today to discover that IE and Messaging wouldn't connect with wi-fi while I was on the phone. It used to with WM5.
Weird data points for diagnosing: Netfront and QMail (3rd party browser and e-mail clients) work with wi-fi while on the phone, so it's not a "port" issue, and IE can connect to my DSL modem and wireless router (192.168.x.x addresses work!) but if I try anything on the 'net I get "locating" forever, then when I hang up the phone, it connects!
Can anyone confirm this behavior and/or suggest a fix?
How are Messaging and IE set to connect to the net?

I use "My Work Network" for both settings in Connections ("programs that connect to the internet should use" and "connect to private network should use"), and have tried setting Messaging to both "Work" and "Internet."
I create a GPRS dial-up connection in "My Work Network", so everything falls back to GPRS/EDGE when wi-fi isn't on or available.
It all works as it should in WM5 regardless of phone status, and works in WM6 unless I make a phone call!
Weird. I don't really need web access often while on the phone, but I'm just trying to work out the WM6 "bugs" if possible!
Thanks!
I wasn't able to connect as well.
This is related to PdaViet4. Wish someone could post a fix...so far no luck for me..

Are we sure it's related to PDAViet4 or all Crossbow ROMs? Anyone with a different ROM want to see if IE works over Wi-Fi when on the phone?

My only problem is live messenger wont connect with PV4. IE is fine with all roms for me.
FWIW, IE and messaging are now working for me over Wi-Fi during phone calls. I don't know what I did if anything, but it worked.
Now if only the random power ups would stop! ;-)

Internet Calling & VoIP using AT&T Tilt

Here is my problem. I currently have an AT&T Tilt using Dutty's 6.1 rom with all the current updates that are work with Cincinnati Bell (US Carrier)
So i'm trying to using my phone to make internet calls, but cant seem to figure it out. Have attempted to install different VoIP cabs, but still no luck. I did look at other post refering to SIP settings but still cant find anything that will work.
I have a Blackberry Pearl with Wifi which connects to my linksys router and will make calls using my internet, without having to use any settings. Im not signed up for any additional calling plans or any other services, but still cant get my Tilt to work... Any ideas???
I keep slamming my head into my desk trying to get this to work, just dont understand why my blackberry can do it and not my Tilt, am I missing something.
Thanks
anyone.......???
what voip service are you using? I got skype to work without any problem.
I also use Skype without a problem. Perhaps if you posted some details, folks wouldn't be trying to debug a blank piece of paper for you.
I guess thats what my main question is... Do I have to use a VOIP service. Like I said I have a blackberry pearl with wifi and it picks up my router just fine and allows me to make VOIP calls without a VOIP service such as skype, why would the tilt need it...... And is the only way to make it work with a VOIP service
Your BB includes a SIP service. You can dig into it to find out the settings and apply those to the Tilt get a separate service for the tilt.
try voipbuster.com
works on my tilt..
or run skype app
Can someone provide the link for working voip cab and sip configuration tool? I am using Dutty 6.1 ROM. Thanks.

BlackBerry Connect & VoIP - incompatible or conflicts?

I have a ROM based on the HTC official 5.2.19212, I also have the latest VoIP drivers cooked into the ROM along with an auto-run .cab file with my SIP settings. I know this works as when I put together my kitchen this was something I tested extensively (the audio is routed to the rear speaker, however that is the only issue). Also included in my ROM is the .cab file for BlackBerry Connect 4.0.0.97, however it isn't installed automatically. When I originally put together the kitchen I wasn't using BB Connect but we have BB's at work so I thought I would include it as an option for installation later on.
A few weeks ago I got my SIM upgraded so I could enable BB Connect. After a bit of playing around I got it all working and I am now 'synced' to my work email using BB Connect (I would prefer Exchange & ActiveSync but this isn't an option at work at the moment....). One thing I didn't check after installing BB Connect and enabling it was the VoIP client as I just assumed they would play together.
Anyway I don't use VoIP often but last week I had the oportunity to use it on a customer site where we were testing a new IP Phone system and we only had a couple of 'real' WiFi IP Phones. Anyway it didn't work The Kaiser was able to start the call, however after the other party had answered it just locked up - screen froze, no response to any buttons etc, only option was a soft-reset. I tried it several times but each time it was the same. When I got home I changed the SIP settings to my own Broadband Voice providers settings and tried again, still it didn't work. I also tried disabling the GPRS connection and even switching of the GSM radio in case that was causing the issue, but no the same behaviour was experienced.
I ended up doing a hard-reset and then it began to work, however after installation of BB Connect it fails again.
Does anyone else use VoIP & BB Connect or know what is likely to be the problem?
Cheers
Andy

I would try a 6.1 rom that can connect to two dialup networks at the same time (blackberry and media.net) or suspend the blackberry connect service and see if the problem still happens. The BB connect service establishes and maintains a constant connection to blackberry and does not release it which would cause a problem with any other connections including SIP.
I would also try running the latest blackberry connect 4.0.0.100. I find it locks up my tilt less than the previous versions.

2 GPRS connections active at the same time? I didn't think this was possible? However I don't think this is the issue as I disabled the GSM radio and only had WiFi connected (so no 2nd path). If the 2nd IP connection was the problem then I could see VoIP just not working (i.e. a local IP routing decision for the device and not knowing which interface to use), however the whole thing just locks up - no reaction to any button or screen tapping, the only thing you can do is soft-reset?

VOIP - Internet Calling: Available

So I installed the WMS6VoIP.CAB then the SipConfigtool.CAB on my AT&T Tilt. I went into the SIP control panel and configured my SIP server info.
My phone shows Internet Calling: Available, but when I make phone calls the caller ID shows my Tilts's phone number, which I don't believe is correct. I'd think that it should show the phone number of whatever number the SIP server temporarily assigns you. I'm also able to hear through the regular phone and not the speakerphone. To me this suggests/proves that I'm not making VOIP calls.
When I turn the phone (under settings) off, it then says Internet Calling: Unavailable even though I have wifi activated.
I then installed the SleuthKaiserVOIP.CAB without changing anything else, and I have the same results.
I'm using WM6.1 with the standard ROM without bloatware, with KaiserTweaks.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Peter
