Got HSUPA? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Does anyone know if this thing actually supports HSUPA or not? I recall that being one of the new features mentioned when I first heard about the Kaiser, however I haven't come across any official word on it.
I wonder if it's been hidden away like the GPS feature was on the Trinity.

I dunno, but if it does, I hope it's Category 6

When I was in NYC I had an "H" show up on my Kaiser ... also, I have the HSUPA enabled in the device settings ... so I would say that HSUPA is supported though I have no idea what category

indeed it was tried in Dallas ( the only place with UPA ) however in few weeks all the markets in the west will be able to handle UPA ( up to 1mb on he UL)

so the network is hsupa enabled or the kaiser is?

According to the data sheet the chipset is providing
- High-Speed Uplink Packet Access
(HSUPA), up to 5.76 Mbps (Category 6)
- High-Speed Downlink Packet Access
(HSDPA), up to 7.2 Mbps (Category 8)
http://www.cdmatech.com/download_library/pdf/msm7200_chipset.pdf
So it is a question of the Software an the Network/Provider.

According to manual:
"Functionality
HSDPA/UMTS: Tri-band (850, 1900, and 2100 Mhz).
HSDPA: Up to 384kbps for upload and 3.6Mbps for download;
UMTS: Up to 384kbps for upload and download
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: Quad-band (850, 900, 1800, and
1900 Mhz)"
Hope class 8 HSDPA and (any class) HSUPA can be later enabled through ROM updates.

on the back of the box it says:
Network

900/2100 MHz
Up to 384 kbps up-link and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds
Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
900/1800/1900 MHz
(Band frequency & data speed are operator dependent)
The model number is P3700
any help is appreciated.. Thanks!
dont get it. I bought the same version and I am trying to use it on AT&T's network and it does not work. Calls drop off and calls dont get in. Have tried a whole lot including updating the radio but does not work.
You can buy any Diamond you want. You just need to flash a new quad band radio to it. There is a whole list of radios here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956.
That's what I did an everthing works fine.
Wind dancer, Maybe you can help me here. I bought a 2g phone with the and updated the radio to .05 but still dont get reception. when i do *#364 I see that the band that the phone is operating on is 850.
What radio did you you and did you update the ROM to 1.93? I am still on the base rom...1.37.720.2 WWE

I think tytn ii support this (not really sure), but thinking since it support HSDPA (HSUPA for up, HSDPA for down).
My take on the speed question

An interesting question and the answer, not beyond 3.6 Mbps. From the side of the box, the device specs specifically list:
HSDPA/UMTS: Tri-band 850, 1900, 2100 MHz
HSDPA: Up to 384kbps for upload and 3.6 Mbps for download.
As both HSDPA and HSUPA come in different speeds (even going beyond 7.2 Mbps with the latest and greatest revisions), it looks like 3.6 Mbps is a set limitation of the max upload speed imposed by HTC. Whether that limitation is set in physical hardware eg silicon, or firmware such as ROM or Radio code, I don't know but I suspect (just as with 'analog' modem chips) it's the former (forced obsolecence has got to be a good way of selling more chips down the line afterall ).
The relevant part of the Qualcomm Datasheet for the MSM 7200 chip reads:
Air interfaces supported:
- WCDMA (UMTS) R6
- High-Speed Downlink Packet Access
(HSDPA), up to 7.2 Mbps (Category 8)
- High-Speed Uplink Packet Access
(HSUPA), up to 5.76 Mbps (Category 6)
I'd imagine at least one of HTC or Qualcomm would have capitalised on any future upgradeability of the speed by mentioning it on advertising, spec sheets or packaging but nothing I've found (including in the xda-wiki) mentions anything about it being able to go any faster - just as well for me because my current network provider says their HSDPA network top speed limit is currently 3.6 Mbps.
Maybe someone with a deeper understanding of how these things actually work, can provide a more authoritive answer.

no 3g signal

I hope someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction.
Im in the Philippines and my g1 is unlocked/rooted with the latest cyanogen rom 4.2.6.
The network im connecting to is smart communications with according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_network_code has:
515 03 Smart Gold Smart Communications Inc Operational GSM 900 / 1800; UMTS 850 / 2100
our phones have Modes GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900
WCDMA 1700 / WCDMA 2100
So i should be getting a 3g signal or something but im not, my phone is not even making an attempt to connect to 3g. I have checked the settings and i cant find where to enable 3g. Use only 2g network is not checked. my apn settings seems to be correct but its not even getting to the point where it tries to connect to 3g. I have no 3g symble or edge symbol. please help..

tmobile data categories question

Hi all.
I'm under the impression that umts = 3.6mb and hsdpa = 7.2mb and hsdpa+ = tmobiles sexy new 21mb service.
Am I right? I'm asking because my phone switches to hsdpa from umts only when I'm using data. Its always hovering on umts when I am on 3g.
Thanks!
With cm rom I also saw the fluctuation. 3g was umts and the h was hsdpa right?

Does anyone have any information from an official (or very reliable/convincing) source as to which LTE bands the 10 Lite supports? I would need Band 20 at the very least. If I want to use it in the UK in English, should I wait for a "Global" version to be released?
