YouTube Tutorial will it work with Kaiser - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I tried to follow the tutorial on how to play youtube, downloaded the latest TCMP and plugins but when i try to play the video link in youtube site the streaming media player pops up. Has any of you guys got this tutorial down with our Kaisers?
Thanks in advance

I have. However I find vtap a better option for watching youtube - Nice wikipedia interface as well.

Why do you prefer vtab for watching youtube?
Care to explain?

You have? How'd you set it up with TCPMP? Can you post steps on what you did? I think vtap is a good software but for me i like TCPMP plus its free

Nevermind. I finally got it to work. Thanks for the search function.

I have corecodec and tcpmp and vtap. I like vtap because I like the interface. Ability to change media settings and vtap is also free.

Has anyone tried blueapple.mobi, not an app but a website. It basically converts the media after you request for it, that does take a bit of time. But, what I like about it is that if I want to save the video I simply cut it out from my documents folder.

Hey thanks for that. Just tried vtap and it's very well designed. Video quality does not seem optimized for high bandwidth/HSDPA but it's not too bad either.
Spoke too soon, just found the quality settings. Sweet!
Interesting about vtap
Is this a standalone application? or is it a web browser plugin?
Is this 3GP or FLV player? or both?
After you have installed, when you browse to YouTube mobile with your web browser and play it. Will the video be picked up by vtap automatically? Or is it still picked up by the HTC Streaming Media?
Last question, is it working with Wi-Fi as well?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions, not much info from the website.

Stand alone.
Far as I know you cant use it to play files Dled to your storage. Try TCPMP for that kind of thing (with the flv patch of course).
No you have to search for the video itself.
Works great with wifi

Youtube Java app

So i installed the new Youtube java app on my tilt and i can get it to load up but when you try to watch a video it says "This phone can't stream videos". Heres the url to download it:
http://www.google.com/m/download/youtube/download?make=Nokia&model=N95&ver=v1.0.1
Maybe someone can get it to work.
p.s. i know its not meant for our phone.
I guess - YouTube will release the version for WM also
no there is no direct link right about now u have to ues the player and the buddle
why don't u just use vtap...??
much easier....
does vtap view youtube videos? whats the difference between vtap, youtube. java?
tvos
I've tested vtap some time ago. It has downloaded 2MB of data without displaying anything. Maybe other people don't have this problem, but I don't want to test this buggy app anymore.
For Youtube you don't need anything. Just visit http://m.youtube.com/ and watch the videos. The Kaiser (at least the TyTN II) has a stream player built in, which plays the videos very good.

vTap is a fantastic program!!! I have it on all my PPC's. Just like all programs there is a problem EVERY now and than, but overall it's a very solid (and free) program....
m.youtube.com does not have every youtube video. It's only the most popular ones. vTap has ALL youtube vidz streamed directly from tha web.....
If you want a service LIKE m.youtube.com go to ytpocket.com. You need to install TCPMP with tha plugin (which is at ytpocket.com )....
And are you SURE that m.youtube.com uses tha Streaming Media player? I haven't used it since it first came out, but I don't remember needing any programs.....

Tell me? Why would I suggest a program in a thread about playing youtube videos..... which doesn't play youtube videos?
Yes, it plays yt videos along with Google Video and other webclip sites. It also has a search engine for wikipedia....
vtap is program. youtube is a site which plays webclips. Java does not come into play in this at all. Most stuff on a PPC does not require Java because it has an operating system....
Any more questions....??

If you are using GPRS/EDGE or UMTS without a flatrate m.youtube.com is the better way because there the vids are optimised for mobile devices. Of course the quality isn't very good, but not everybody is using WIFI.

I wonder if anybody's ever counted the number of 'two post' threads filling this forum
All my Youtube (similar) problems went away when I installed WM 6.1. It has a built in video streaming program that kicks in when Youyube is connecte and you ask it to play one of the video clips.

don't really want to take coreplayer off as I use it a lot. But i'm gonna try uninstalling it and seeing if there's any change to Youtube.
I'll post results
I've seen the youtube through coreplayer mentioned before. Does offer anything more than the Diamond youtube app?

A lot - H.264 (stereo audio when available, higher-resolution pic) - see my YouTube Bible in the General forum.
well, after taking out coreplayer, the problem is still there in youtube, no video only audio... It is more than good enough through Coreplayer anyway and does offer more as Menneisyys said, it'd just be nice to have the Youtube app that came with the phone actually working!

Coreplayer is set to Qtv and plays youtube vids fine. It's the seperate Youtube app that won't play any video - it looks very nice but is useless
I might try getting hold of the cab file of Youtube and installing it again

You can not. It is disabled by Opera and cannot be reenabled.
Use Streaming Media Player, Youtube App bundled or check Menneisyys' Youtube Bible at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387986

You mean BBC's iPlayer? Pretty problematic as there's only a native player for iPhone - you'll need to rely on "hacked" links - see http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...N4&q=bbc+iPlayer+"windows+mobile"&btnG=Search

with a lot - use for example CorePlayer or WMP. If redirection doesn't work, use IEM instead.
