Videocall from TyTN II to PC? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I'd like to make videocall (front cam) with my TyTN II (preferably on wifi, if not avail on 3G) to for example the kids at home, on their PC.
Is there an app that does that? Can't seem to find anything on this.
Any responses much appreciated.
Update: Seems like it can't be done.

SKYPE?????????

Have you tried this - or is it a suggestion? I've read that this does not work, did not try yet..

Bon Chance!

Microsoft Portrait...

There is a application that allows you to use the TyTN serie cams as a webcam.
Mayb you can use that???

Portrait
MS Portrait was a good suggestion - thanks!
But did not fly, it errors out. Thank though!
Any other ideas...?

Webcam
Afaik the Webcam app is to use your phone on USB to cam with. That's not the intention either... But thanks for your reply!

Can't be done...?

MS Portrait (Portrait_PPC_3.1_Beta.msi) works with my MDA PRO (Mobile 5) . I could install MS Portrait on my HTC Kaiser but it does not work in full color video mode . Probably need to wait for next update

Windows Live + Front camera

I am planning to buy Kaiser,
Can this camera act as 'webcam' for windows live messenger???
with a software it can.
I can act as webcam for your PC. You can't use it as webcam in messenger on your phone. You can only send pics with your phone using the camera.
Thanks
looks like... either I was not clear in my question... or I have contradicting answer...
xmoo - I asked for the using of front camera as webcam on the phone itself - which Jewcookie has said 'not possible'...
xmoo - if it is possible to make the front camera as webcam on the TyTn-II itsef... let me know the software

It;s not posible to use it while being on msn on your phone. But you can use the phones camera (dunno front but the back works) as a webcam when linked to the computer (msn on computer). I forgot the software name, it is actualty for the TyTN, but it works for the TyTN II. You could try to search there or start a topic there.
peace.

I'm sure you mean Ateksofts "WebCamera Plus". It works well as webcamera/microphone for PC but costs some dollars...

S730 as webcam?

Hi there, someone of you know a program substitute of WebCameraPlus, (I have tried to install it but does it seem not to work) with which to be able to use the smartphone s730 as webcam? Thanks !
none use it then.....
You need install, webcameraplus 2.0
on desktop: start webcameraplus, and: tools/settings/language:english (it isn't work with any languages for me)
on device: start program. the front camera doesn't work, switch on: menu/source/2 camera
menu/settings/network: if you connect via usb: check auotodetect ip on
if using wi-fi, write your device ip adress. port: 2047
push start.
(it will connect. when u see nothing on desktop, push stop and start again.)
(sorry my bad english, i hope it was understandably)
another webcam question:
we all know that wings supports SKYPE and MSN.
is it possible to chat via MSN or skype (etc) on the HTC WINGS and use the internal (front) CAMERA, so that the other side can see you through the camera while having a MSN conversation?
nope not possible
are you sure? what a waste of potential. this internal camera could be used as real webcam for conversation via the htc wings on msn.... are you sure it doesnt work somehow? how do u know its impossibe?

Why don't you write an inquiry to the people of MS to embed the Microsoft Portrait in the WLM application, i did the same some weeks ago when I received my Orbit 2 (HTC Polaris)
[email protected]
okay wrote them.

MSN Mobile + Webcam ???

Hi, is there any chance to start a video-chat with MSN Mobile and the Kaiser Camera?
I would like to know that too...
ms portrait (installed standard on your phone) can do the job. search for it on the microsoft pages. It combines with msn on the computer.
I got it working, but my connection was gprs or slow umts, so the camera was very slow. I will try with HSDPA soon.
Greets
Get!em
what did you mean?
how can I do that ?? could you please make some sort of how to
pocket msg dont support it simple as that
ms portrait is an old ms test project which may do the job
but recall people having mayor issues getting it to work
and only with the backcam i believe
kk, to bad would have been fun to be able to use the video chat..

Can I use the second cam with Skype or MSN

As I just discovered that my providor doesn't support videocalls I would like to try to use the second cam whit Skype or MSN, anybody got this working?
Thanks in advanced
Willem
Hi,
No current windows live mobile client supports any (at least not realtime and integrated cam solution as far as i am ware.
You could however look into microsoft portrait, last version is Portrait_PPC_3.1_Beta.msi. its pretty outdated however and i dont think it will be developed, at least not in its current form, any longer.
We must install a program that follows the commands of the actions when the certain program is openned. Then someone has to install the program on HTC Touch PRO and to plug the TV-out cabela and to follow what commands it does. Then we can see which files have started and to transfer them to HTC Touch Diamond.
i have tried microsoft portrait and it did not work for me. also it was not using 3g camera.

My network is 3G and even HSDPA and thats the reason why I don't understand that there is no aplication which lets us use the camera under VOIP, that my providor doesn't I can understand thats just a commercial reason, but for Skype or MSN or whatever eplication it could be a killer app.

+1 here! sound nice to me. I'm curious as well
Thats a good idea!!! I don't use my front cam anyway (vidcalls are so expensive). A part from MSN Messenger, is there a program to use the front camera anyway, like for recording, or use the phone like a mirror...
Something like this?

No i think they mean that you will use msn from the phone itself.
A mobile msn client that can be used with the front camera.
Ive done my searching and ive found http://www.vzochat.com/ .
A shame it cant be used with msn or skype users so it will be really useful.
Haven't tested it though.
I would like to know why MS does not included Video-Chat on MSN Live Mobile using the existing drivers for video calls, I can not believe that it is a impossible mission
can the diamond be plugged into your pc and used as a webcam?
what software would i use? plug n play doesnt pick it up as a cam!
I would rather like to see front camera with skype...
VZOchat works like a charm.
best regards
Not sure if OctroTalk 2.0 supports that.. I'm still looking for the best IM for the Diamond.
