Wizard crashed in the Colored screen, cant get it on again. - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

Hi,
My HTC Wizard crashed in the 3 colored screen while on USB and the ROMUpdateUtility program was searching for it (the "verifying the information on your PDA Phone... Please wait..." screen). I just took really to long and i had to take the usb cable out of the wizard.
The USB on the leftbottom of the screen didn't turn out and the phone didn't want to turn out on itself (using the power button). After waiting a while I removed the battery.
But now it won't start in anyway (with the battery in place off course). Not by the power button, the reset button, some button combinations and it also doesn't light up when i put the usb cable in it.
The battery should still be around 100-95% so that shouldn't be the problem.
So, how can i power it up again? Or is it really dead?
Hope you can help me.

The trick in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294107 did the job.
Now i can go update it to WM6.

how dont get it, so u need a USB Cradle to get it to work? but the power does turn on and how can u run the updater if the usb doent connect to the computer? can u tell me how u did it plz, i really want my lovely toy back, and what cradle do u have ?how much

Which version is your phone G3 or G4 ? and which rom were you trying to flash.is your phone cid unlocked? what is your present IPL/SPL ?
Try to get the phone into bootloader mode. To get into bootloader mode, get the phone off the usb cable, hold down and keep pressing down camera button and while keep holding down the camera button push the 'Power On' button, your phone will wake up and go into bootloader mode (multicolor screen),if it goes into bootloaders, you are safe,it's not bricked, but are you sure it was fully charged,be sure it had enough charge atleast more than 50%.well if it goes into bootloaders then connect the usb cable with it and pc,check and verify a small usb appear at the bottom of the bootloader screen,if it does not appear then you got a faulty usb cable or faulty usb input port of the pc or may be mini usb port of the phone is damaged.
anyway, check all of this and pinpoint the problem and get it rectified.
If everything seems to be ok,and you have small usb at the bootloaders then simply flash the official carrier's rom.ok
Well,if in case your phone doesn't get into bootloaders at all, then either it's battery is totally flat or it's bricked or if it is a G4 and you tried to flash any Rom containing IPL/SPL in it,then I'm afraid you might have a "Bricked" phone.
Good luck

yeah i think i flashed isp containing isp, and battery was full when i flashed it, then i think i bricked my phone thats y that trick in the post suposed to boot up my phone with the usb cradle but im just wondering how does it work...
ps: i already tried the buttons long ago, didnt work. or charge with wall charger or take the battery for few hours, also tried that usb wire to charge the battery thing...i think this trick will let me boot my bricked phone again, just dont understand how it works, i mean isnt it same as pluging ur usb to the desktop?
so i put my phone on the cradle and connects the ac power and also connect the built usb(from the cradle) to the computer, and do i take the battery out? confused, dont wanna wast 15 dollars on cradle

No, when i plug ipaq to the power mains, the led light don´t turn on, but when i take off The back cover , the led ligths turns on!
and when i pug the ipaq to the PC, the activeSync don´t recognizes my ipaq.
Thanks for help me.
Ok try to put back the back cover, battery and if you have your cradle, plug your cradle to the powers mains then connect to the PC. Im fairly certain that it should show up as an unrecongised device. If so, then it should be in bootloader mode then try to run the rom upgrade again

thaks for help me once again.
i already done this, but i dont have a Rom for my ipaq!
anybody has one wich can give me?
Did you try running the HP rom updates again? If it is unable to detect the model of the IPAQ then you will need to get a rom image and restore via an SD card. You should beable to find urls for rom images from MobilityToday's forums.
same probleme
i have hw6515 same problem, i think the bootloader area is erased. the only way is a com cable & mtty to write area.

Oh, no... Even worst.
You need the bootloader to response the com port and your mtty, once it gone the only way to bring it back are (1) by JTAG port. (2) reprogram the flash memory.
Your 6515 is good for parts by now, I got a 6515 with broken LCD/case is good for you. ;-)
Cheers,

Dead Tilt?

I couldnt open my comm manager and decided to do a soft reset. Now, I get the ATT splash screen and then the HTC animated screen (Dutty's Series) 6.1 and nothing else. Any suggestions?
I did a hard reset, but PC does not recognize USB device. I am not stuck at the RED, GREEN, and BLUE screen...sigh - work in porgress.
What do you mean pc did not recognize phone during hard reset. The hone does not have to be hooked to the pc to hard reset. hold down both soft keys then insert stylus in the reset hole and hold until you get a white screen. then follow the prompts to wipe and reboot. all done.
Ok, I have done the hard reset, but when I try to flash the rom again to bring it back to original, the PC does not see the phone to be able to to do the ROM upgrade. So I get a time out. I am not versed well enough to do a rom upgrade from the card yet.
After the hard reset, I see a quick white screen flash..I think it says "Loading.... No File" or something to the like... then it goes back to the tri-color screen.
Put it in bootloader (instructions in wiki) - connect via your cable to your PC - it should say USB at the bottom of the tricolor PPC screen. Then flash a ROM. PM me if you have trouble.

I am in bootloader, connected the cable to the PC, it does say USB at the bootom of the tri-color screen (when I remove cable it says serial), but my PC does not see the phone as connected via USB. I believe I have a bad cable or like others my USB connector on the phone has bent pins. Sigh, phone is only 2 days old....
If your device is saying USB on the bootloader then the USB port is fine.
Its more likely that all you need to do is to restart your pc and then try again.

if it says usb then your pc is seeing your phone. however, i dont understand why u are flashing the rom again if all you did was a hard reset. the phone should still boot. we really need more information as to what you have done, not done, rom, radio etc.

can not enter bootloader...
are you sure about your operation?
turn off, unplug USB, hold camera button then plug USB.
if you can not enter bootloader, the only way is send to HTC service center.

Not true, if there is no serious hw defect I can unbrick it with my "FrankenKaiser" unbricker tool set.
Does your PC prompt you to install drivers if you connect it via USB?
yea i dosent do anything when i plug it in
Ive got the same problem... flashing a wing from vista and it totally died. cant get into bootloader, cant get computer to recognize, cant get a peep out of the little guy.
My computer went into standby while flashing the rom, then it went into the bootloader and I tried to re-flash, then the progress bar came on the screen of the wing, then it went kaput for good!
i emailed HTC to see if they would run it over in a bus for me.
It worrrkkk!!!!
im a newbie to all this i recently bricked my wing nothing turned on no light nothing, then i was reading this post and it does work. wat i did i took out my battery put it back in then i held down the camera button and then pluged in the usb and BOOOMMMMMMMM! it went into bootloader! ahahahahahhahahah. so for all you people out there if i can do it you can too!

Mda won't sync or charge after bad flash

I was following the guide for putting the button rom, and then the loki. all that went ok. The problem was I replaced the nbk file of the ipl/spl 3.08 file with the one from a radio download (radio 27111) and when it flashed now the phone doesn't recognize anything plugged into the usb port. Won't charge or nothing. no lights come on . I tried holding the camera and power button, and then pressiong the reset button, taking both hands off the buttons and then pressing power again and holding it to get in the bootloader multicolor screen, and it doesn't recognzie it either on my pc there. any suggestions?
it still loads the buttons flash rom and goes to the phone itself (old stock windows mobile) and pressing the start button takes like 15 secs to show the drop down start menu.
oh also it still says ipl 1.08 and spl 1.08 in the buttons splash pic....
although i was trying to put that 3.xx one
if anyone has:
tmobile RUU_Prodigy_1081002_108_10910_TMO_US.exe
please send me or give me a link. I tried googling but they all lead to the ftp server here (as we know has no files now on it). Someone said that worked for them. I tried another tmobile official one and it doesn't work. In boot loader (the multicolor screen) when i connect the usb the word usb shows, but the rom program on xp doesn't see it and I get an error 260 update error which says it can't connect to my phone.
Update: I tried the newest official tmobile software from their site and it does nothing. It does show the "usb" at the bottom in bootloader when I connect it, but the tmobile software (or anything) doesn't recognize it and gives a error 260.
When in windows (as it still goes) it shows the unknown battery thing and doesn't show how much battery life is there, along with being real slow. I didn't have a sim card in it ever while doing this but prob has no service either.
eh
50 views and im the only one with that problem ever? no one knows?
correction. it DOES charge.
same problem

does your read sd cards?
no luck yet.
Hello,
Let`s start... maybe this will help you too guys... But first of all i want to know if your phone`s go in bootloader mode... ( just reset with the stylus and then hold just the camera button) and then it goes in the 3 color screen...
Let me know if you`ve got your phone`s in bootloader mode.... Replay as soon as posible... and... did you`ve tried another USB cable?
If you want to charge the phone, get the battery out, put it back, put the charger in, then hold the power button until it starts chargeing... 10-15 seconds max.
And if you get the phone in bootloader mode do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4104858&postcount=3
Regards.

[Q] Xperia Z Wont turn un unless usb connected

Hello
Recently i've bought an broken screen Xperia Z, for repair it (i got it like $300 bucks cheaper) and i was ready to buy the screen, but i battery was drained and i could not test it right, when i connected to the charger, it started red light, vibrate, then 3 continuous vibes, read on the internet, OK BATTERY DRAINED, i left it charge THE WHOLE NIGHT, and when i woke up in the morning it was orange (charging), later in the day it was green (charged) but when i disconnect it, it wont turn on anyways, when i connect it to a pc, it goes blue light (wich later i read it was fastboot mode). i read for making a repair with PCC, but it didnt fixed it, then i flashed it with Flashtool, with the latest software (wich had the Sudden death issue fixed) no luck. it wont boot. for it to boot, i have to connect it to PC and with fastboot run "fastboot continue", but most of the time, it reboots and goes redlight and vibrate 3 times then reboot, so i press the power button and it enters fastboot mode (if connected to PC) or loads charging if connected to wall charger, but it reboots again and goes to redlight vibrate reboot, sometimes it stay charging or in fastboot mode, but only "works" if connected in the USB.
when it stays in fastboot, i do "fastboot continue" and it loads the OS, and it works (well, the things i can do with a broken LCD/Touchscreen, i put my sim card and could call it, and it works, but i cant pick up the call). i can explore the phone memory etc. but if it reboots or if i disconnect the USB, it will almost always turn off. i havn't found a solution (or idea) of what can happen, i dont know if its normal since it has broken lcd/touchscreen or it definitely have a huge problem,
any ideas?
thanks in advance!
Maybe the battery is damaged, and the phone knows it and boots into some sort of safe mode to spare internal damage? When the is has booted you can take screenshots with adb if you have usb debugging enabled. Maybe try see if the os says the battery is damaged?

Well, actually it doesnt seem the battery is damaged, fisically looks ok and it holds charge, i cant debug because usb debugging comes off by default when flash stock software.

Correct me if i am wrong but does the xperia z not support usg-otg and mhl? You could rig the phone up to the tv with a mhl-hdmi cable and maybe use a usb mouse to select things, and enable usb debugging?

Nice idea, now i need to find who in this country (DR) have that adapter
i ordered the LCD screen assembly for repair it myself, but im still concerned about this, as i dont know if it will boot up anyways
my phone right now isnt booting. but as i cant see images i dont know what is it showing.
i noticed the touch screen is working indeed. (when booted, it plays sounds when tapping)
i will wait till the lcd assembly arrives. any ways, any other ideas on what may happen?
the ex-owner of the phone said it started like that when it fell and broke the lcd.
OK now, i've installed the LCD, the phone works, its ON, BUT the Volume Up button and the Power Button does not work when the phone is ON,
the Vol UP button seems always be pressed cause when i press the power button for some seconds, the Phone restarts and not power off or lock/unlock
Service tests: None of these buttons where recognized.
any ideas on any hardware fixes i could try?
I FIXED IT!!
dissasembled the phone, took out the side button flex cable and the volume up button on the flex was dirty, so it was having a false contact. (wich made the button always be pressed)
I took out the yellow tape and cleaned with alcohol and a needle (its so freakin small) and put the tape again and assembled the phone and voila! IT WORKS OK!!
Yes the vol up button pressed means u get fastboot. Now that you fixed the problem and repaired the phone enjoy. Btw nice job getting it up and running.
