Im a toal newb, but i somehow hardtapped my T-Mobile Wing and installed Touch-It 4.4. I dont think I fully understand how i did it. lol
I have Slide 2 unlock installed. If I press reply without sliding to unlock, after I send the text message, and close the messaging program, the connection manager automatically pops out. It gets really annoying having to close the connection manager every single time I text. This doesnt happen when when I unlock the phone first.
Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thank You.
pardon me, but the product marketed as T-Moblie Wing has nothing to do with HTC S730(Wings) which this forum is all about?
Yeah you're right, T-Mobile Wing, aka HTC Herald. But everything ive read, EVERYTHING, completely applies to the phone, and Ive done quite a bit of reading. So Im not sure if there really would be a problem. Ive read tons of threads with people talking about their T-Mobile Wing

As the title says having trouble sending or receiving texts. I could imagine this could be a number of things so I dont know where to start. I am running dutties software and kaiser tweak... think I tweaked something to stop letting me text?
I installed the O2 SMS Plus program, and for some reason it prevented me from getting texts. Just a thought.
Also, check your radio
Everything seems to be functioning... hmmm. This might be a hard reset issue. Although hopefully not as its a pain to reinstall everything. I turned on sent message notice and I get it so its trying to send em!
I completely hard reset my device to Dutties... still cant send and recieve texts!!!!
Whats your provider? Alot of AT&T people have been having issues recently with the data/messaging plan do you have another phone you can plug your sim card into and test?
If I had to wager a guess, I'd say that you have some corrupted directories on your actual storage card, which is why the hard reset didn't help.

Make sure your SMS message center number is correct, for your provider. Each provider has their own settings. If it's AT&T, you can go to http://wireless.att.com/support.
On that page you can find help for your device and SMS in particular. If you have a different provider, you're on your own.
Wow lot of great ideas here. My first plan of action is to load the new version of Dutty's on to see if that has an effect. I have checked the message number. I hate calling tech support because I always talk to some guy who's been with the company about a week and doesnt even know what the **** a tilt is. Hes like... who makes it. I say HTC. He asks whats that stand for? I say I have no ****ing clue. He says he needs a manager. Im like WTF!
I had the same problem before. I suggest calling your provider and make sure you have messaging turned on. Sounds dumb but i had switch data plan and it took off unlimited text mesaging (new data plan didnt have unlimteid text messaging as a bundle) one day and right after i flashed q-mobile. Thinking it was the rom the whole time it turned out i didnt have texxt messaging turned on.
you know......maybe before reflashing your phone or hard resetting it, maybe you should first pop the sim into another phone and see if you can actually sms or not

Ahhh it is my sim card!!!!!!!! Damnit I lost it alll via hard reset. Should have been more patient, now I gotta call those losers and biatch them out!
Called them up my text message plan somehow fell off my plan. -sigh- Now I lost all my games and apps. Owell I can update to the latest Dutty's!
Every since I upgraded to WM 6.1 and did the hard reset to remove the bloatware from my HTC 8925, I have been unable to receive MMS messages. I haven't flashed my phone, everything is stock. I have read through every post and suggestion I could find on this subject in this forum and nothing has worked. I thought about calling AT&T, but I'm sure the 1st thing they'll have me do is a hard reset which will put all the bloatware back in. I really like not having to deal with all that useless crap. Can ANYBODY tell me what might have gotten deleted when I did the phone reset and what I need to reload to get my MMS capabilities back? It worked great before the upgrade. Thanks for any help I may get.

Just recently bought a At&t Tilt off of Ebay and it originally came with the stock 6.0 rom. Well I upgraded to 6.1, and still had a few issues with text messaging. Then I Hard-SPL it, and loaded the HTC 6.1 rom and I like it much better. Well my phone works awesome, but the dang thing still has problem receiving picture messages. I use tmobile as my carrier, but I roam on att towers sometimes. Well before with my nokia phone, I never had a problem with any kind of messages. Now since I got this tilt, messages just don't seem to get to me. I can have a friend right next to me send me a picture message with text, and my phone never even bothers to say that I have a message. But if he sends a text message, the phone will get it. So what is going on here? I mean I can deal with it, but sorta sucks that I only get half of my text messages. Any one else got this problem?

I can do everything exept sending a sms.
Can answer, call. Tried three types of SIM-card. And since the new Android, "it finds the sms-server itself."
So, I wanna downgrade maybe, if there is someone that could give me a quick guide, and talk to me like skype/msn meanwhile, im no noob on computer, just got damn tired of reading site after site and cant find my answer.

What have you done to your phone in the first place? if this is a new phone and you have not done anything to it, then go and see your Telco about the SMS setting!

What do you mean with "Telco about the SMS setting"..?
No. Just sometimes, when I talk in my phone, it could happend, it just "restarts" and requires me to enter my PIN again.
What I've done to my phone in the first place, nothing. Downloaded the GoLauncher as another design since the original-design sucks balls. But, can't understand why.

I'm using a HTC One on TrickDroid 8.0.0 and I recently got the 'com.android.htcdialer has stopped' message...it didn't seem to relate to anything I've done to the phone in terms of rooting or installing the ROM, but I noticed online some people were suggesting it might have something to do with a recent skype update?? I've also read elsewhere that this has actually affected people's dialers, which hasn't happened to me - all that has happened in my case is that I've lost all the contacts in my list and when I get missed calls I can never see them or the number they've come from, both of which are pretty annoying!
Anyone any ideas? Bear in mind I'm a bit of a rookie so answers in words of one syllable (understandable by someone who doesn't have a clue!) would be much appreciated.
