View screen on computer - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Is there any way to view your phone information on the computer? If there is can I control the phone via the computer like if I was surfing etc.. I realize that I can tether the device, but I just don't want to pay extra for it since I would only use it rarely while on vacation. Thanks for the information.

Yup.
Try SOTI Pocket Controller.
http://www.soti.net/

You can get VNC for PPC - that'll let you use a VNC client to connect to it, as if you were connecting to a remote machine.

Or mymobiler

i use what unwired4 suggested..its quite good...i send my text n such on my laptop

in my opinion "mymobiler" is the best..
because you can use also your PC-Mouse on TyTN II ;-)

Dude, you can use your Mouse & KB with Pocket Controller Pro too. + you can do it wirelessly over 3G/Edge. & edit your registry, manage & tranfer files, etc. etc.

I use Pocket Controller Pro and it works great and for under 40 bucks its not a bad price. I can use my keyboard and mouse just fine.

I have not personally used this program, but "Dashwire" got a nice review in Smartphone and Pocket PC magazine.

Can I connect Kasier into my LCD monitor screen

Hi
I am thinking to get either Kaiser or Athena for my next mobile phone. I don't care if it is bulky. I just want something that I can connect it to my LCD computer screen. I am wonder if a new Kaiser have that options? I know Athena can do that with their accescories 4 in 1 cable.
Any input? Thanks in advance.
not directly through your hardware but you can get pocket controller and have an emulated version of your tytn II show on your computers display and use all the functions using your keyboard and mouse

Here's a free emulator that works great:

Thanks for the info. Do you know also the programs that I can use for presentation or connecting my PDA to projector.

Looking for feedback on SOTI Pocket Controller

Does anyone have any experience with SOTI Pocket Controller and the Kaiser (Tilt)? It looks like a decent application but I wanted to check with other Kaiser owners. Feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
I've used this on both my Wizard and my Kaiser and it works as advertised. It definitely saves me time after a hard reset being able to use my keyboard!
I use it with my tytn II all the time. its so much easier typing out sms messages using the pc keyboard and for general use for entering information onto my phone
great for doing screenshots with the phone as a background or just the screen capture also

I use it as well on my Hermes and my Kasier. Hard to beat for remote control from my desktop for sms and screenshots.
Ryan in support has been great the few times I have needed support.

Purchased and...
I purchased the software and it is really nice. I was hoping the File Explorer would allow me to see everything but it appears that I am not able to see all files; even with show system files checked. Does anyone know of a workaround?
Thanks for the feedback. It is defiantly worth it.
MyMobiler is free and I think it does the same stuff:

I use it with my Tilt and it works perfectly. Couldn't ask for more.

its not quite the same. with pocket controller you also get full use of your d-pad and buttons and you can configure hotkeys
Use it, love it. If you look hard enough you can get it really cheap.
Great Program. I believe upgrades are free for 1 year, which is a bummer....but still the best program out there for remote control/display.
The new 6.x version even has Explorer, Registry, Task Management and System Info right from your PC Desktop.
I use it on my Tytn and love it. I don't know how I lived without it. I leave it running on my desktop all the time. Just being able to use my mouse to quickly grab a phone number or send a text pretty much makes it worth it to me. Oh and being able to install software without having to install half from the desktop and then pickup the handset to tell it where to install it is another great thing. Oh and one last thing, because my phone is plugged into my computer as soon as I sit down, the bonus is that my phone is always charged. I don't have to think to stop and plug my phone into charge as its just a natural extension to plug it into the computer to use it as soon as I sit down. Its just plain wonderful.

Thanks bro, I'm gonna get it
You could also try GpsGate for PCC and PC..
Works great for me.
Hmm... I never even realised you could do this. Saves me buying a separate BT GPS receiver for my CarPC.
One question, how do you actually set this up over Bluetooth? It just asks me to pick a BT port, but I have no idea which port to use.
it's said that autoroute 2007 works on the PC, i'll give it a go

Old Kaiser

I've got an old kaiser which still works perfectly (wm6.1 on it) and i still love it to bits, however i have a polaris now so its just a back up. i would love to still use it in some way.
So... Any idea's what i could use it for? example, voip fone, remote webcam etc.....
Cheers
Just an idea GRemote to control your PC

Also thinking of turning it into a Wireless AP with

PC software for sending and recieving SMS bluetooth?

hey guys. just wondering if anyone knows of any software that i can connect my diamond to via bluetooth to by laptop when I am at home so all sms i recieve pop up through the laptop? and so I can also reply to them by typing it on the laptop rather than the phone.?
thanks.
Ryan
there are a few things you can use...
1. If you got a free data plan then try something like dashwire... just google it and its the first link. Its web based so you'l need internet access from your computer... i've tried it and works great.
2. Otherwise i use Jeyo mobile Companion 2.1
I use this when my HTC is connected by USB to my laptop through activesync. It also keeps my htc charged up
Jeyo mobile is like a mini outlook program, and works brilliantly. cant see why a bluetooth connection via activesync wont create the required partnership and once you tried it i can guarantee its what you need. i used to use it at work as i had to tell staff off for texting on ther phones and didnt want to be seen as a big hypocrit... hmmmm i have no morals!
3. There is also SOTI pocket controller, which puts the diamond device on your PC desktop. Again this requires activesync and from when i used it, it was a bit slow. I use to use this for my MDA compact3, but after i found Jeyo mobile ther was no going back.
Jeyo mobile also backs up contacts, call history, sounds and other personalisation. I hardly use it anymore but its one app really worth paying for... i think there is a 30 day trial on the download. Hope this helps pal.
