I'm from Brazil - Sao Paulo.
I lowered an updating for WM6 straightly of the site of the Palm Australia (version for operator Telstra 1.15 ROW), for a treo 750 version 1.15 ROW of the operator Claro. It was doing the updating and for my unhappiness, it finished the energy. When it returned, the appliance does not go out from that fabric of bootload. I looked for informations in several forums, and found the information of which there was an executable one to continue the updating in the directorate TEMP. I continued with the updating, and came ending it. However, now the appliance does not go out from the fabric of presentation (it arranges with it soon of the Palm). I tried to find some informations in respect, and even I finished appealing, and even I formatted the Palm (Power Reset). I tried to install again, I continue them to myself with the same problem. I checked that there are some updates in which there is possibility to effectuate through the SD itself, which the ActiveSync does not recognize any more the appliance. It recognizes the Windows like ' HTC USB SYNC '.
If possivel, it would like some help, if vcs know any alternative form. Opposite case, I will have to get a beating up to the technical back-up, and it does not enter in the guarantee.
Excuse if there are some mistakes, but it does time that I do not talk in English

before that during switching on showed the picture saying "Loading ..."

I have Qtek 2020i and I had like your problem before and while installing the same ROM from sonofon, but be happy, it is not a big deal, I just removed the battery until it erased everything left at the device (backup battery was completly empty) then I replaced the battery and reconnected the device to sync while power cable is plugged in and I tried to reinstall the same ROm and it is working find and perfect with me, I like the sonofon rom, it is really nice!!!

I am assuming that Arrival has sorted the problem out by now but for future reference of others there is a simple way out.
Press and hold the following 3 buttons at the same time for about 3 seconds: Power, Action (D-Pad) and reset.
This puts the device into bootloader mode which is basically like DOS for the Alpine.
If that doesn't work, remove the battery until the backup battery runs out, place it back and put the device into bootlader mode as described above. The device can then be upgraded by connecting to the computer and running the update program.
Less crashing problems are likely if the device is connected to the mains at the same time.

Apologies if these questions have been answered elsewhere. If so, please ignore my rant and direct me to the necessary links/sloutions.
My SPV exhibits a number of problems you are all probably already aware of.
I've spent countless (free) minutes to Orange's support line and complained to them in writing but they refuse to support me by email. They insist I continue to call 150 where an operative reads the instructions for a DIFFERENT HANDSET :-( Pointed questioning usually results in the operative admitting they've never seen the SPV M2000 and have no idea what I'm talking about. Meanwhile I pay Orange for the rest of my calls which SHOULD'VE BE FREE ANYWAY! OK rant over...
Firstly I should give you my details. GetDeviceData returns

My problems are:
1. Unidirectional voice problem after using bluetooth. I've applied the documented fix at

without success. Did I do something wrong?
2. WIFI - after disconnecting from any wifi network (encrypted or open) the handset needs a soft reset before it will connect to any wifi network again.
3. Screen "skew" - touch sensitive screen needs realigned several times per day. This is particularly annoying when you can't even enter the PIN to get into the sodding thing!
4. Messaging - tapping on messaging highlights it but never does anything. What has happened to all my texts, emails and MMSes?? Is Angelina Jolie texting me for a raunchy evening of passion? I'll never know cos messaging disnae work.
5. Windows Media Player. I upgraded to the latest mobile version and now it doesn't play ANY media files. WMV, MP3 - not recognised! Factory reset - and it works again, but all my data, mods and personalisations have gone! Boo hoo.
6. Voicemail - the voicemail icon I used to get has completely disappeared. Even if there's a voicemail waiting I don't have an icon there to tell me. Result - more free minutes spent "just checking" to see if I have messages. Is this a conspiracy?
7. Camera. My camera never worked - until downloading and installing Camera2K5_v1 from your site. Not that I use it, but it would be nice, when Angelina comes over.

Q. Should I upgrade to the latest ROM? 1.42? Radio ver? How do I do this? Will a German T-mobile version work on my UK Orange SPV? Or will I have to learn German?
Q. I can't find my bluetooth version. How do I do this? Would upgrading to the latest one solve my unidirectional voice/BT problem?
Q. Should I unlock the handset and just buy a pay-as-you-go SIM? From Vodafone perhaps (better coverage in Scotland) If so, how?
Q. Should I can this device and buy a proper phone and an iPAQ instead? Two devices into one pocket doesn't go.
The SPV seems like a really smart piece of kit (if a little clunky) but it just doesn't do what it says on the tin. Not from Orange anyway.
Any help or advice you can offer will be gratefully received.

i flashed to O2 IIs UK version. it work fine expect for the camera. no align problem, window media reads supported format. im not sure about u, but it at least solve some of my problem.

I attempted to install the Helmi WM5 upgrade 1.3.2 beta to my Orange SPV m2000.
I did not attempt to install extra rom, and now I'm glad that I didn't!
My PAYG operator has always been Vodafone UK, and would like to continue using them, as they have the best signal strength in my area.
I noticed that Vodafone was on the list, but did not notice (untill after the upgrade) that it is only available in the Middle East and Australia !
The BaUpgradeUt reached 83% on stage 3, and then paused for a long time (my entire Christmas Dinner!!!!!!!!!!!) In the end I removed the device, had trouble getting it to reset, and have now reinstalled the WM2003 ROM from Orange.
Would like to benefit from wm2005, so need your advice on what went wrong! I had several of the command windows/folders open that it may have been trying to access, so maybe it may have been trying to access these?
If this ROM is not the most stable (or the best for a relatively inexperienced person!), I would be pleased to know. It sounded that way, because version 1.4 beta seemed to leave out a lot of apps which I needed (for example the smartdialler).
Please could someone give me some unbiased(!) advice as to what went wrong, and what my options are now?

P.S Thinking about the SIM Operator issue, is it possible to unlock a WM5 blue angel, after upgrading?
did u set the operator the file before u do the upgrade?
if you have not done so, pls refer to wiki site on how to get the device data then set the operator for the new file before flash it.
Have just upgraded my Wizard to WM6 I encountered a couple of problems along the way but the most frustrating by far was having everything perfect with the notable exception of being unable to send or receive text messages. Every time I tried to send I got the pop up to say "Phone not ready wait 15 seconds then try again"

Flashed to UK Orange WM5 and used for pleasure

THE PROBLEMS
All RUU packages failed with a variety of error codes but the visible sign of failure was the display going blank and not firing up again. The solution was written in one of the upgrade guides "remove the SD card" (so glad I didn't post on that one. DOH!!) The SD Card wasn't being recognised after upgrade. I couldn't be sure how I fixed that, it could have been one or more of the following:
Repeat ROM Upgrade
Hard Reset
Soft reset (5 times as it seems to speed everything up)
Switch off phone (hold down power button and say "Yes" when asked)
Insert SD
Power Up
Synch with ActiveSync 4.5 & Win XP (connection only so untick all the boxes)
Synch with Windows Mobile Device Centre and Vista
Remember to check the memory status (Start/Settings/System/Memory)
Well whadda you know, the SD card is recognised!
OK it's not scientific I'll grant you but if it helps someone then it wasn't wasted two finger typing time.
No text messages, after much searching and reading inconclusive threads I went for a Radio ROM Upgrade. I flashed 2.71.11 but have a look at the Wiki and take your pick from the 3 listed. Bingo!! http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Wizard
CONCLUSION
Read everything before you begin, there is loads of information here, some of it conflicting which leads me on to ...
There's more than one way to skin a cat, maybe one guide might not work for your phone in your country with your Telco, just try another until you find a method that works for you. Absolutley DO NOT ignore the dire warnings though, Wizards are useful as paperweights but much more useful as PDA phones.
Don't expect much help from your service provider, Orange were strangely unhelpful when they found out I am using a phone they never sold in the UK with a cooked ROM and one of their SIMs that was sold with a Nokia Slide. Honestly, what do I pay these guys for!!
Don't despair, throw the darn thing through a window or, when confronted by a black screen, reach for the Big Hammer. Take out the battery, wait, put it back together and power up.
Do give thanks, to the guys and gals who give away their hard work in the form of cooked ROMS, who spend hours writing user guides and making screenshots, who build mini apps to simplify the process and who answer the same question a zillion times on the Forum.

I recenty purchased a used Kaiser off Ebay-UK which had Android 2.1 installed. The Seller referenced this site so I presume he is a member. He said he sold the Kaiser as he now has a HD2.
Anyway....lots of probs with the phone:-
-Bluetooth & Camera(s) not working
-My Orange sim seemed to work for a few hours but soon after I got 'no service' message.
-Tried an alternative sim and that wouldn't even get read by the phone!

BT and camera->android problem
If the phone is barred then you get the no signal message within a minute.It worked for hours with your SIM,so I think it's not barred.
I don't know about free sites to check barred phones,you can do it at local police or service providers offices (if you have a friend there).
If I was you I could flash a WM ROM and test with it.

BT & Cam not working is enough to convince me Android is not worth putting on a Kaiser.
Dunno what could cause a network to drop. but it deffo DID work for an evening as I had googlemaps working with the GPS.
My Hermes has a 6.1 rom on it because I recall trying a 6.5 and it was a bit flakey.
Whats the score with Kaisers? 6.5 roms all stable?
When I plug in this Kaiser to my PC, all I get is the message 'Android device detected' but I don't have any drivers.
All I know so far is to get the tricolour screen its press camera + reset. Can I please be allowed to be lazy and get some links on how to properly flash a Kaiser which is presently on Android ( i.e. what PC software and a popular stable WM rom.
BTW ,My tricolour screen says KAIS130 MFG , SPL-1.0 OliPof , CPLD-8

What a nightmare, Android looks slick but too unstable for me. I can't find a working application to browse the SD card, so have had to resort to the microSD flashing method...but still stuck...arrrgghh :-(
