Winamp remote not connecting after ROM upgrade - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Themes and Apps

I've upgraded to Dutty's latest ROM on my AT&T Tilt(Dutty's WM6.1 Official UC 5.2.19199 RTM) running the Radio 1.64.06.04 and now winamp remote won't stream through WMP. Before I flashed to the new ROM, it ran perfectly. Has anyone else experienced this?
Everything else is running better on my Tilt.

Check to make sure the file associations are assigned to the right .mp3's / .wav's

or else.. you may check your proxy if you are using GRPS the proxy must be turned off

I'm using the 3G network
Does that connect using GPRS? Forgive the ignorance, I'm new to flashing. I noticed that on the AT&T website, you have to activate the proxy using some .CAB:
https://cingular.atgnow.com/cng/uploadimages/PATTLNK_1312008_142-a5.jpg
Do I need to activate that on my phone? Does anyone have that CAB?
Alltheway, thanks for the response! I think all the file associations are set correctly, I'll double check. Another thing, I have TCMP bundle installed but I can't play any youtube videos (arrggh!).
I'll have to change the radio tonight. After leaving for work at 7:00am, by 12:00pm the phone was completely dead. No calls or anything. I'm guessing its going to take a little more tweaking before I have this thing running at full steam.

Yahoo IM with T-Mobile 2.26 ROM

Hi,
Recently upgraded to the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM on my MDA.
Connect via WiFi is ok.
When I use Yahoo IM, it says problem with connection. Any ideas why this is not working. It use to when I had the 1.8 ROM before this.
Thanks.
It's possible that another installed app is conflicting with it. Are you using OZ or another messenger?

Possible correlation...Click Clack!
I am using the one which comes with T-Mobile ROM 2.26...which is OZ.
Anyway...I figured it out...it was my wireless router at home rather than my MDA.
Cheers!
PS: Thanks for replying. This is one fo the best forums I've been on.

Toronto Wizard Users Unite!!!!

Hi....
Was just wondering how many people in Toronto or surrounding area are using a Wizard.
What ROM are you using?
With which carrier are you?
How is the experience?
Just curious!
As you can tell, I'm with Fido.
I have a Wiza200, and I am about to try flashing AKU 3.3 Crossbow Beta.
But, before I do so, I have to go buy a new USB cable.
I've misplaced my original. I have a few similar usb cables that I have for my camera and external HD, but they strangely do not work with my wizard.
Cheers!
Hey,
With Rogers using faria's new 3.3 rom. Im using the 2.25.11 radio stack. My service is perfect with this radio version, after setting up my mms correctly i can send audio and video pretty fast.
I am using the cingular 8125 on rogers.
I do have wifi issues that I am trying to solve.

What ROM are you using, and what are the wifi issues that you are experiencing?
I'm in Toronto (Sauga), and I am using the Wizard G3 with 2.47 radio and WWE WM6 Leak.
Everything is running stable, with great reception.
anyone tried connecting to the new wireless network downtown? not sure exactly where it cuts off, but i know its there ....
Briefly checked it out on my laptop, but not yet on my wizard. I've not really used my wizard wifi finctionality... find it too slow and annoying for browsing.
So.... Anyone else join the bandwagon?

Cooked ROMs and BlackBerry Connect

So I'd like to flash a cooked ROM on to my Tilt, but I'd like to keep the functionality of BlackBerry Connect for work, which ROM will do this? My other concern is that I hear there is a way to hack the phone that will let me have BBC and MediaNet running at the same time as necessary, the whole disconnect this to get to that and vice versa has been my main annoyance with BBC because I can't get my IMAP mail when BBC is running.
I have run Blackberry Connect successfully with every ROM I've flashed. Specifically
Dutty's 04/29
L26 v4
currently Death v3
You have to edit the registry setting for aku to .0.4.2
also , most ROMs will turn on the screen when receiving an email... which drains the batery....the L26 ROM does not, however, it has issues holding connectivity to all AT&T settings and I gave up on it.
The Death v3 ROM is what I'm running now - it's very fast and does not crash on me...but it does suffer from 'screen on when email receipt"

From what I've been able to determine, this is a fault of BBC rather than the ROM. I went backwards one step and don't have that problem any more. I really didn't see a difference between the 2 BBC versions except the dreaded screen on email receipt.

Sounds good, I usually read the emails as they arrive since I work in IT so I'll think of it as an accidental blessing. But what about multiple data connections. Having to suspend BBC has been getting on my nerves for a while now. :/
No one has answer?

WM6.1 allows muliple simultaneous data connections. This is nice when you have BBC running and another app like Weather Panel that relies on internet updates.
u have to flash a rom that has the modification made in the provisioning xml document. it is not cuz of wm6.1 but rather the change for vpns has to be cooked in.
search the rom dev forum.
Death v3.5, and Dutty's 04/29 all do simultaneous data for me Laurentius L26 v4 did also but it was very flaky .. lots of "answering modem has disconnected" type messages I gave up on it

OK, so then I could just download my cooked ROM of choice and make that edit before I flash my Tilt? Sounds simple enough. Thanks!
Thanks for everyone's help. I loaded up Death's 3.5 and it's working as I hoped. 2 simultaneous connections and it seems to be working great!
Twinpeaks, my device doesn't turn on when I get mail, so maybe I'm lucky?

youtube not working on wwe mw 1.37.456

I have updated from vodafone nl rom to RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE-ME_1.37.456.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.26a.25.09_1. 00.25.03_Ship
Everything is working fine except for youtube. When I start youtube on Wifi it is working. But when i start youtube on vodafone live! an error occures. Cannot play this video.
Does anyone know how to solve this? I expect it to be in the band being used, since wifi does play videos.
Opera internet is working fine via vodafone live!
Yea I'm having the same issue as well. I just upgraded my rom for the diamond to 1.93 and so far I have everything working perfectly fine except when I try and play an YouTube video using the app from HTC's official rom, it now says "cannot open this video" or "connection failed" ...
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
Eric
HTC Touch Diamond
ROM: 1.93
Vodafone NL
The same problem here!!!
When I use it on WiFi there is no problem... it is working very well.
I'm using the 1.00.25.05 Radio version.
Anyone knows what to do!?!?
Thnx

Have you removed the tick for 'use this proxy server' in advanced connection settings? Worked for me using youtube and windows live apps.

How to detect if my Kaiser has a cpu problem

Hi,
I try to use skype under WIFI/UMTS/HSDPA, but I hear one word on three/four...I thought it was a Windows Mobile Software block but it is not (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474370), I thought it was a carrier lock, but it is not. I tried a Toshiba g900 (wich is slower than Kaiser) with the same carrier and Skype works very very well, have you ever tried Skype with the Kaiser? I have the lastest Hyper Dragon ROM but it is not a ROM issue because it did not work even with its original rom and radio rom, this thing is driving me crazy! I made tests just after an hard reset and with wifi, so it is not a network issue but a device problem, how can I check if everything is ok? Maybe a benchmark to test CPU? Or what else?
I've never been able to run Skype smoothly on the Kaiser regardless of ROM. It's just too slow.
Not happening here. Running Skype 2.5 on WM 6.0 original ROM or WM 6.1 3.02 and it works fine. Just did a test call while connected to WiFi and the voice quality is great.
What's the difference between us? Different Kaiser Model? Wrong radio version? Wrong what? Why me and kilrah cannot use skype smoothly and vcespon can? Someone tells that his KAiser is fast in opening apps etc. but mine it is not fast even to open the start menu...I want to go deeper in this, what can I do to know if our Kaiser has some problems?
Mine is pretty fast doing everything, just skype will always skip very badly, regardless of version. It'll miss sound bits here and there, sometimes even blank completely for several seconds. That is, totally unusable except just for text chat.

Could you say more? We must solve it
ROM and radio firmware version can make a lot of difference. WiFi performance / RAM available. After trying dozens of ROMs for months, I only use the original WM 6.0 with 1.27.15.32 radio, or the official 3.02 with 1.58.26.20.
WiFi connection works OK for me even in "best battery" setting. I've been streaming music from shoutcast.com for half an hour without problems.
Skype 2.5 does not seem to have any problem with a test call, I have not tested it on long conversations, thoug.
Hmm actually I forgot about that setting, with WiFi on "Best Performance" a test call works fine. I was usually on "Best Battery".
Just need not to be doing other things on the phone at the same time. Can forget about using BT headset as well.
