hi, support kaiser 32gb memory card? everywhere writing yes.. (support up to 32gb) but i need some help before i buy it..

I understand you young and money is tight. we have all been there. My suggestion is to buy a couple of 16g ones and you are all good. What are you putting on it to need that much space? I have tomtom and it uses 2gig and 4 gigs of music (lets be honest, I will never listen to it all) and I still have 3 gigs left after apps are loaded on my 8 gig card.
Your choices are this: buy and try and see if it works or buy a couple of smaller ones that will do the job as well. Good luck and what ever you do I hope it works out.

Meritline is an awesome site. I order tons of stuff from there (especially their 3 packs of HDMI cables, usually with coupon for 6.99)
But there shipping is quite slow unless you live close to California. or can wait for things to arrive from the Far East. (Hong Kong, Singapore, China)
The other thing is their customer service is top notch!
For just a couple more dollars you can get one from Newegg if you are in a hurry...

I got a class 2, 8 GB card at my local electronics store for $17. Don't waste money/effort getting your hands on a class six because the Hero won't read it at it's native speed.

That is false, and frankly I'm damned sick of hearing that BS repeated over and over. The "class 2" thing comes entirely second-hand from some user who apparently got a note from a random low-level customer service rep saying something to that effect. Well it's not true.

The Hero is fully capable of exceeding the read and write capacities of a Class 2 card. My Hero maxes out at about 2.5 - 3 MB/s writing to the included Class 2 card, but easily reaches 6-8 MB/s using my aftermarket Class 6 card.
Definitely, definitely, definitely get a Class 6 card, whatever size you buy. It's absolutely worth it.
Anyway, NewEgg will ship you an 8GB Class 6 card from the US for $22.95. I'd recommend that instead.

Assuming you mean the Transcend card, I got it at amazon at roughly the same price after shipping...and I'll +1 that recommendation.

Even if that wer the case (which is not), then you try and buy stuff hard proofing it for the future, so the logical way would be to buy a class six card, which you can use when in the future you dont have a Hero anymore and do have a phone that "supports" class six.

Even less expensive!
Meritline has another brand Class 6 8GB for a dollar less (with shipping)! Only $18.45.

This is not a deal. If you think it's a deal you're new to the internet. I got a SanDisk 8GB Micro SDHC Class 6 for $18 shipped from new egg. Keep your sights on dealnews.com for micro sdhc deals.
On top of that Meritline is good but has insanely cheaply-built knock-offish type stuff. Got my sdhc card reader from them for $0.98 shipped. See what I'm saying here?

His was also Sandisk, that's noteworthy.
I know a lot of people have good luck with Trancend, Adata, etc... but I try my hardest to stick with Kingston or Sandisk for my SD cards.

Yeah, I hear you there. These things burn out eventually though. I'm also going to bump up to a 16gig soon.

16GB will work, my phone came with one this size.

that's a self punishing way of action... sorry, but I couldn't endulge in that one.
Bought from ebay, arrived from new zealand for 33€ total expense, tested the whole 14.84GB real capacity with linux and dd, plus copying back to harddisk after that, and was fine, 7.5MB/s write, 7MB/s read with internal SD reader of my laptop and SD adapter.

Don't remember... just search "microsd 16gb" and check the cheapest one to sell them.
Or, look at the feedbacks left by my nick on ebay

have a 16gb microsd class 6 from a-data, love it. not sure if waiting for 32gb will be worth it, since we still don't know what the prices will be or when it will be available.

It's still certain they will be significantly more than twice the 16gb ones.
32gb SD are out since a while, and they still have outrageous prices, so go figure what will happen with microsd's

eheh, nice avatar, I can recognize a dragonball from my CO2 days. Botting in adv zone got me 2-3 of them
Anyway, my sandisk microsd is a class2 one, but as in my previous post, transferring its whole capacity back and forth from hard disk with the internal reader of my laptop, I got 7.5m/s write and 7m/s read...

hey well i have one and i have quite alot of songs (aprox. 2500) but when i hit the music tab on my hd2 it takes about 20-25 seconds for the music player to pop up. does this happen with anyone else? is there a way to fix this? thanks in advance

It's obviously loading the songs list... the builtin mp3 is just catchy eyecandy with very small configurability, I use mortplayer for my audio playback needs.
Obviously as well, if you ask HTC's support, they're gonna tell you that it's your MP3's fault, and that their software is faultless

I bought Team 16gb Class 6 and very happy with that one. Recommended.

I paid 70$. Couldnt find it on eBay and any other site with cheap shipping to Turkey.

Micro SD card questions

assuming they're of the same class, are kingston micro sd cards as good as sandisks? does brand really matter? and is class 2 good enough, or do i have to get a higher class to run everything on a hacked rom g1 smoothly, with apps2sd and all that? thanks

yeah but I paid $74 bucks for the one i got now...so I figured hell, returning it and throwing the extra 26 bucks plus shipping with it couldn't hurt anything, IDK, I might just keep it, and when the time comes (upgrade phone) go out and buy the 10 class as well, and just have two kick ass 16GB sdcards for dual booting

haha thats true 24$ more is nothing for what you're supposdly getting, if that's the case might as well go for it, and see how it goes.

Is it worth getting a class 6 sd card?
I don't use aps2sd atm or swap or JIT and my phone is ok (no secondary partition). It's not worth doing with the card I have.
If I put a class 6 cad in and enable all the above would it make a difference?
Why are you guys getting 8GB cards? I don't even use half of my 2GB.

Most people store more on their SD card then you probably do. For example I have nearly 16 different ROMS at any given time stored on mine. Each ROM is about 40+ mb if not more so it adds up. Then I also store Apps, Wallpapers, Audio files (which is HUGE), and other things. You always want a little extra space.
A 4gb card is usually more than enough for the average user to still have plenty of space and not worry about filling up the card. BUT it all depends on your intentions for the card.

Did you go 8 or 16gb?

Just wondered how many went with the 8gb and how many went with the 16gb
I went with the 8gb because:
1) That $199 price is so damn sexy
2) I don't clutter up my electronics w/ excess rarely used music & movies
3) Dropbox / Google Drive / Skydrive / Box.net cloud storage.

I'm getting more and more into using the cloud. Didn't seem worth it to spend an extra $50.

16GB. 8GB and i'ts like i have my little ipod touch again.

8 gigs. Nothing to put on there... a few pdfs of school books and everything else is on cloud. I couldn't justify putting anything else on. lol

Don't forget that 8/16 GB is an overall flash storage capacity.
Judging by my Nook devices there will be about 5/13 GB available for user.

I went with the 8gb since I am getting it as kidtainment system for my toddlers apps, I figure even with the all those apps I will have plenty of room for some "lower quality" videos for him as well. Other uses will include the occasional eBook or magazine as well as for use as an xbmc remote and for the occasional browsing etc. Point being actual media storage is not a concern, and though a microSD slot would have been nice the trend seems to be away from it.

Just preordered 16gb (£209 including delivery).. 16gb not ideal but should be enough.. I would use it for movies and games when away on business and all sorts at home.. excited as hell now..

£209 is about 325$ May I ask why it's so pricey?

When its available in the Netherlands i will probally go with the 8GB.
Im not going to watch movies on it (got a big ass tv for that ) or put music on it (got me phone for that) .
Gonna use it for reading Ebooks nad magazines and general browser on the go.

We pay a lot in tax and just generally get price gorged in the UK compared to the US.
Having said that, £159 to £199 is actually a pretty good price for a device with this spec in the UK . Got my order in already...

I'm so happy, I have just ordered the 16gb one today with my spare money from my 18th birthday (today ). Also, today I have just gone out and bought the galaxy s3 international with most of my birthday money (and money I have saved up the last year) I can't believe how cheap it is, I know that I will need the 16gb version. Wow, I can't believe what a good day this has been, the galaxy s3 and the nexus 7 I just can't wait for the amazing development to start on this tab, seen as how it is a nexus

Well, as I saw in checkout, the tax is £34 so if you subtract and convert £ to $, you will get $255. And price for 16GB in USA is $249 without tax. So I would say the price is big surprise... At least I was nicely surprised....

I preordered the 8gb at 4:30 this morning but I am debating weather I should change the order and go for the 16gb, I looked at my phone and tablet, not including the music on my phone, I have less than 2gb of data on each, so it looks like 8gb would be plenty for me but as its is impossible to add storage after purchase Im finding it hard to make up my mind.

I also ordered the 8gb version and still not sure if I should get the 16gb model. On my Sensation, if you don't count music, nandroid backups, etc. I'm using 3gb of storage on my SD card. I know it's only $50 but that could go toward something else (e.g., a new Kindle Touch with backlighting).
One way I decide when spending money is to put it this way: I'll give you either a Nexus 7 8gb and $50 or a Nexus 7 16gb. Which would you take?

16 for sure. With all the games that I'm going to have on it I will need all the space I can get.

I preordered a 16GB but I'm waiting on the phone right now to change it to the 8GB. I don't see myself putting any music on this thing and will most likely use it for web browsing and streaming videos. I'll save the money to buy the next Nexus phone instead since I'm in the market for a phone this year. I just hope they give us more than 16GB with the next GSM Nexus phone.

8 for me. I mostly use the cloud even when I had huge sd cards I would always stream unless absolutely necessary.
