Best replacement battery (high capacity)? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi, looking through these batteries at fleaBay http://tinyurl.com/5n7hko who can recommend which would give me the best performance - preferably better than the original.
Currently with WiFi and Bluetooth on, I am lucky to get 3-4 hours of life out of the thing.

I can't comment on the batteries on the link you've posted because I'm no fan of Ebay electrical products, bu there are numerous other batteries which have been discussed on this forum too.
The mother list of Kaiser Tilt TyTN II batteries.

Thanks, seems like Mugen is the best brand. I ordered a Mugen 1500 battery so as to not enlarge my back cover and all my docks can still work. £23 from http://shop.eten.hu

I got my self this extra battery booster:

Neat little thing with about 5000 mah and it has two usb ports so that I can charge up to two devices.
With this I don't need to charge my phone/battery booster for 4 - 5 days.

HD2 Lithium Polymer Battery On Ebay!

Well guys, this would be a first:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Htc-HD-2-batter...311?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb4d8f5af
But hold on though. It almost looks like a plain old re wrapped Li-Ion battery. The guys feedback makes me skeptical, too. Looks like he's new to Ebay.
Thoughts?
I believe its the same old crap. They say its 1600mA. But in reality even worse than standard 1200 mA. Price talks for itself.

You know I see alot of talk about these 1600mah batteries from Japan and alot of speculation, but I have never seen anyone do any real world testing. I was planning on buying one of the 1600mah batteries and doing a setcpu stress test on it as well as the stock battery and record the results of how long it took each to fully discharge.

Do it! If you become the guinea pig and the battery is indeed better, then you would be a hero in these parts lol.
The last battery I bought was a 'genuine' htc 1200mah from an amazon seller, turned out to be a fake that was obviously not htc.
Be careful with testing unknown batteries from unreliable sources, the fake one I had got very hot and was a poor fit into the phone. These phones are very temperature sensative and you would not want a lithium fire inside your HD2!
So is anyone willing to do some battery tests? I would be so happy if I could use a 1600 mAh battery and not need one of those huge, bulky battery covers.

You should be very careful if you try a battery from an unknown or not certificated source. I read about many cases, where people bought some cheap batteries which turned into a little bomb, because of some reason. and i don't know if i want to end up in a roll chair for my whole life just because of a 20€ cheaper battery. A battery can damage your phone not only by heat. Such batteries have also some extra hard- AND software for controlling purposes integrated and if there's a problem, it could cause other problems in your phone.
The normal 1230mAh battery is not very bad, one day for such a huge display and some other features is enough. and if i have to go to the jungle and can't charge my phone i will buy the bigger battery and won't mind about the thickness of my phone ^^
Just my thinkings

I actually can confirm, I can go with my phone with minimal to moderate use for several days. But when I am at work and playing with it nonstop - 4 hours maximum. That is why I got myself a GTMax battery

I would also agree with this statement. None-the-less, I ordered one of the 1600mah batteries yesterday. We're gonna have to wait a few weeks for it to clear customs however before I can do any testing.
Not the first...
I have the andida 1600 Ma and it is labeled as Lithium Polymer.
I bought a 1600 mAh labeled battery from eBay which came with very good packaging and even a tin case. The labels on the sticker make it seem fancy and trustworthy. However, in my experience comparing that battery with the stock HTC 1230 mAh battery, there is no increase in uptime. On Aondroid both batteries read 1230 mAh. Even though the 1600 mAh battery claims to have that capacity it really does not. I even weighed both batteries on a scale. The 1600 mAh Li-on battery weighs less than the HTC original battery.

It's not possible that a stronger battery is as big as the stock one. most of these people only put another label on a stock battery (or rebuild battery with the same power) and sell it for a higher price. I'm sure you won't get a Li-Ion battery with the same size as the stock one but stronger. With a Li-Po battery it's makeable but not easy and they'll have a higher price because of that.

The price makes me suspicious as well. I don't notice a lot of difference in device up time with my Andida battery, but it is still new and it may increase as I get past those initial cycles.
... if I don't reflash more NRG ROMs! They give strange readings for the first few battery cycles after a flash. I just flashed one yesterday, so it will be a while before it settles down.
The Chinese knockoff battery got here today. We're about to find out if it can hold It's own once I put it through the first few charge cycles.
It's sad that I'm able to get an 1800 mAh battery for my G2 that isn't appreciably bigger than the stock 1300 mAh, but there's nothing equivalent for my HD2.
Can't you return it. There should be eBay's buyer protectiontion just say buyer gave you the wrong item

Another Extended Battery 1600mah Question

So, I haven't looked for extended batteries in a while, Andida 1600mah only seems to be only as good as the OEM
Has anyone tried

When you see it from China, consider it FAKE.
i've got the second one. i don't know if it's true that have 1600mah but for sure have more long lasting than the original

The fine print on the second one is exactly the same numbers as on my Andida battery.
Thanks guys... I don't understand why no manufacture can produce a slim extended battery. It would make the HD2 so kick ass
Is the Andida 1600mah battery actually thicker than the default battery? Seing some ebay photos it seems to me that they are the same size and there's no need for extended back cover for the 1600 batt. Anyone can confirm this?
Its not 1600 mAh. Maximum it has is 1300... Most users reported it to be of less capacity than standard one.

It is the same size, but my HD2 shows about 1230 mA when fully charged. Still, a decent price for a replacement battery.

You mean with a meter or something? My tbattery program indicates they are 12296 at full charge.
I have the 1600 mah battery and it is more powerful then the original u have to condition it first or you wont get the right amount of power after about 4 charges on it and then I had to charge the original 2 to 3 times a day but with this 1600 once a day and thats using wifi and other apps
Can you tell us how many mV you get at full charge?

It lasts 2/3 comparing to original one and battery monitor widget shows the full capacity of 963 mah.

Thinking about to buy it.

Mmm, if you want to go with big capacity & extended cover try finding original HTC extended battery & cover on a promotional offer.
Almost all of these extended batteries from China are junk with data chip sending false battery MaH data & many close to stated capacity batteries don't allow HD2 to utilise it without soft reset.
personally I went for a USB charge pack working from 4AA batteries, I loaded 4 UniRoss 2100MaH hybrio AA cells & it works great.
size is 68mmX63mmX18mm so easily to slip in a pocket or bag.
I get 2.5 charges from it, have total control over cell quality & MaH rating & it cost me less than $13 including new AA hybrio cells.
Just another option to consider perhaps.
I know a good store that sell many extended batteries for HTC, But now i cant send the link , forum cant accept that. if you are interested, send me the message.
Just type link address without www or replace a w with an asterix. Users can figure it out easily enough & copy/paste then correct address in browser bar.

I have gotten good service out of the Andida batteries. They advertise 1600, but they are actually the same output as the OEM batteries. But they are inexpensive. Some people have reported very low output from them, but that has not been my experience. Just don't expect 1600!

Question
Has anyone tried using HTC Desire HD batteries for their HD2? I just ordered these HD2 batteries that are 1350 mAh on an eBay store located in Brooklyn. They are 2 for $8, I figured worth a chance for only 8 bucks, but I'm still thinking 1350mAh still won't be enough. The HTC Desire HD batteries are 1500 mAh and almost look like they'd fit, but I'm unsure. Right now I'm running my HD2 on the Desire Z ROM that is rooted, I think it's made by Dandiest and Freak. This ROM is seriously the best out of the 3 I've tried. With it being rooted I was able to download the battery calibrator on the market and it has increased my battery life significantly. I'm still on the standard 1230mAh battery and I charged it to 100% and unplugged it at 8:49 AM and it's now 8:28 PM(I'm in Germany) and it has 40% battery. This is just mild usage though. Any suggestions, or anyone know if the Desire HD batteries would fit and work?

Batteries - need some help

Hello everyone,
I bought some time ago an Andida 1900 mAh battery but I'm pretty sure the mAh declared is only nominal.
Now I need a good battery so that I can at least cover the day I spend at work (about 10 hours). I have to say that since my phone is the only access to the internet I can use in those situations I need to keep it always connected and this drains the battery, obviously. More over, I got Whatsapp (it should have push notifications, iirc), TweetDeck (updating every 6 hours, so it should be approximated to 0 energy draining), one GMail in push and one K9Mail in push as well.
With the Andida, I almost didn't use my phone and from 8:00 AM it's not at 75%. Pretty bad, in my opinion
So I wanted to ask you which battery would fit better the spot (I'd prefer the stock back case, otherwise docks I bought for my phone would be useless )
I found some that could go, but I'd need some advices from who already tested them:
Mugen 1700 mAh
eCell 2430 mAh
eCell 1800 mAh
Droidax 1600 mAh
So far I know Mugen Power are the best batteries (and saw the price, they must be the best ), but I wanted to be sure I could to a full work day with a charge (price is a minor issue, better to buy a good one once than 3-4 "less good"...)
Thanks in advance for helping me
Tiwiz
Problem is that "nobody knows". You'll always find always mixed reviews based on psychological changes or usage never being the same!
Unless someone tests the batteries with exact measuring instruments this topic will result useless
I know it is quite hard to give me a feedback (I couldn't say myself how much improvement brings the Andida battery) but I knew Mugen are good, just wanted to know if someone already tested it or not and if it's worth to buy it

Why not get a charger/battery combo from ebay? Charge one while at work and swap when needed, then charge the other... Or get yourself a desktop stand with charger, I got the original LG desktop stand and it's pretty good actually (as far as desktop chargers go ofcourse!).
I have good Results with "POLARCELL". Used this Batteries in the last Phones as replacement of the Original one if they's gone bad.
(Polarcell 1600mAh)
I think that the oly solution is to have two batteries and use an external charger for the second battery.

is this battery fake????? (picture attatched)

hey guyz
i bought this battery from ebay with 2600 mah
is it fake???
and if it isn't how could i calibrate it (am using android from nand)
sorry for my bad english
Well chances of it being 2600mAh are unlikely, if lucky it maybe 1700mAh.
Also kernal of your ROM need to be capable of handling over capacity batteries, for that refer to your ROM thread.

ahaaa. ic
thanx buddy for ur quick responding
i should buy 2300 original......
I have the extended battery just like this. It claims to be 2300mah and after a few cycles my battery widget says its estimated to be 2300mah (with 30% margin of error).
All extended sized batteries I've tested have shown to be over 2000+ mah and have given me more than double standby time.
If the battery is standard sized and claims over 1600mah then suspect BS.
Most of the cheaper oversized batteries tested by members on XDA came out at 1700mAh.
Peeling the sticker will lead to the truth.
Is a thread on this with a selection of oversized batteries & the true capacities.
Well I have owned 5 extended batterys in my time.
2 for HD2
2 for WildfireS
1 for Dash
All of them costed below £10.
All of them had seen my phone pass 30hrs.
My typical standby with normal batteries is around 11hrs.
My WildfireS extended bat topic.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1296297
Going from OP supplied picture of of black/silver label style found on eBay & amazon most are tested well below claimed mAh
I have tested many myself & delt with resources in China that make them.
From 11hrs to past 30hrs is 3X over standard, that would equate to 3000mAh plus, no chance of 3000mAh cell & cover for £10.
You get what you pay for & when it's Chinese products & eBay/Amazon getting what you pay for is a gamble with poor odds.
so how could i calibrate it??????????

You have to account for night time which is about 8 hours of no activity meaning little drain.
Thats fake around 1700Mah i guess

[HD2] looking for same size with extra mah battery

I am looking for non stick out or same size battery for my HD2 with extra mah like 1500-1600mah. Is there one in the market that actually better then original one? quite a few out there from china but seem fake or not better then oem. If you personally use one that better then original please let me know where buy
None are available, have tested a few & all are same as standard or 5% up at absolute best .
Andida & Momax are good value replacement but around standard mAh, Andida being my favourite.
Best bet is a spare standard size battery & or a USB battery pack.
You could risk buying the expensive mugen 1500mAh but I would not ! ...
I got bored of high capacity batteries & got a USB charge pack that runs on 4AA rechargable batteries (2200mAh uniross hybrios) modded it for fast charge & it will do 2 charges at good speed & costs less than $20 & fully servicable when batteries age .
