NiteStalker Spb Mobile Shell Theme Bundles [5 June 2008] - Windows Mobile Themes

Welcome to my Spb Mobile Shell Theme Packs!
This is a theme based on single background images, and integrated into 3 different areas of my phone. These 3 areas are the (1) Today Screen, (2) The Phone Dialer, and (3) Spb Mobile Shell.
Supported Versions:
Today Screen: Windows Mobile 5.0 and Higher (possibly reverse compatable with earlier versions) *Integrated into the Mobile Shell install CABs
Dialer Pad: Requires hardware support send/end keys
Spb Mobile Shell 2: Support versions 2.0 and 2.1 features
QVGA Support: 240x320 Portrait and 320x240 Landscape Modes supported by all 3 packages. Other resolutions have limited support, use at own risk.
As with all installations/upgrades, it is highly recommended you prefrom a backup of your device before proceeding with any changes.
Credits:
- MaxMotus for his work on MM-Shell, the inspiration of this work.
- All in the SPB Shell thread.
Installation:
- The Mobile Shell Themes should be installed on a clean version of "Spb Mobile Shell", if any theme from another author was previously installed, you should restore the most current version by reinstalling the OEM package.
- Download the CAB, and run from device, install to device not the storage card.
- "Soft Reset" the device.
Developing themes takes alot of time, any donations would be greatly appreciated. I could use a beer.

Now to the good stuff!
Spb Today
Description: Minor tweaked version of the popular "Spb Watcher", when active as a "today plugin", Spb Mobile shell is forced to open when the today screen is displayed.
- Version 1.0.1: Minor tweaks to registry, more reliable function.
- NOTE: I take no/none/zero credit for the build of this program, nor do I know who the original author was, I have only cleaned up a few redundant items that I think were introducing bugs. I doubt they are all gone but im happy with the stability. -Thanks

Themes Packs:
Calendar Tab Note: In order to get the calendar tab to display goto "Settings>System>Spb Mobile Shell", on the "Now Screen" tab ensure it is set for "Classic", and uncheck "Show ...." in the config option. The calendar tab is designed to auto hide if you display the calendar or appointments on any of the now screens. This effects all 3 layouts, I felt that the calendar tab becomes redundant if the calendar is already displayed on a different tab. Configure calendar options while having "Professional" selected, best appearance is when "auto" is selected.
In effect, this makes each theme have 5 different layouts:
1) Classic Analog with Calendar tab
2) Classic Analog without Calendar tab
3) Classic Digital with Calendar tab
4) Classic Digital without Calendar tab
5) Professional Digital without Calendar tab.

Help!!!
I have installed only the dialpad portion of mobile3 (cubed). I like it, but after making one call, then the smart dial ceases to function. I uninstalled the application, but I guess your files replaced necessary files in the windows directory that I foolishly did not back up. I would rather keep the installer if I can make it work on the phone properly, but if not, can you tell me how I might go about restoring the original files in my windows directory. I am using a Cingular 8125 with winodws mobile 5. Thanks.

I've never seen any of the problems you describe, my files are just graphics anyway. If you want to uninstall, remove wizard_reTOUCHed_Dialer2, through the regular unistall routine. It should uninstall just fine, I've been able to get my ATT Dialer back every time.

I've seen this problem too, its not caused the theme, try remaping the softkey in your mobile shell settings, or other softkey remapping utility. The Spb Softkey Mapper seems to be a bit buggy.

This one just plain does not show up on my device.

Since I saw you were running one of my other themes, thats still in pre-release stages, I have to assume your issues were resolved (that theme is built off the files from this one).

(THEME) Zimaia5 - WAD2 + HS PlusPlus + RetroClock - UPDATE 21/09/08

UPDATE:
New release WAD2 (RC13) - 21/09/2008
New release HS++ (Version 1.06 - build 0342) - 21/09/2008
Hi,
This theme was build with a combination of several softwares:
* Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 (WAD2)
This is a beta version that right now are in phase RC13
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13570
* HomeScreen PlusPlus UI
Version 1.06 - build 0342 - 19/09/2008:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=114366&d=1221856346
* Retro Clock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344870
Now i'm going to try to explain the screens that you can see down!!
All the pages are from WAD2 but some of them have plugins added:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
* Clock Page - Wad2 + Retro Clock Plugin
* Settings Page - Wad2
* Office Page - Wad2
* Weather pages - Wad2
* Applications Page - Wad2 + HomeScreen PlusPlus UI Plugin
If you prefere a digital clock instead of analogic you can make one in WAD2 because you have the Clockrow and the numbers, inside images folder, to build.
INSTALATION NOTES:
First you must install the 3 softwares that i mention in the beginning of the post. Only after that you go to the installation of the themes.
Download the Zimaia5_Theme.zip from this links:
http://w15.easy-share.com/1701370094.html
or
http://rapidshare.com/files/141131011/Zimaia5_Theme.zip.html
- WAD2 Theme:
First you must run Wad2 at least one time to generate the themes folder inside wad2 installation folder because wad2 is a RC10 version and does not came with any theme therefore initial the themes folder doesn't exist but after you run one time wad2 generates that folder.
Copy the Zimaia5 folder and place inside themes folder of wad2 installation folder
Then run wad2 and follow the installation images.
- HomeScreen PlusPlus UI theme:
Copy the two files inside HS++PlusPlus folder and place them inside HS++ folder installation, if in wad2 nothing shows up in applications page follow the installation images
- Retro Clock Theme:
Install cab that are inside Retro Clock folder and then place the skin files inside retro installation folder. If the clock doesn't show up in clockpage of wad2 follow the installation images. You must also go to today settings of windows mobile and in retro clock options, change the skin to Zimaia5 skin.
Enjoy
beautifull , great work thank you very much
I'm having a problem because the folder Zimaia5 of WAD2 original have 2 subfolder with the weather images but i had to remove that folders because the upload fails.
Now i have the images of weather that must be placed inside Zimaia5 folder and i can not upload them
Very nice, thank you for your effort!

Just portrait for now because HS++ only will have landscape suport in version 1.07. The actual version is 1.06
Added screen of digital clock and installation images to help people that are not familiar with this softwares
Now the download of the theme is under a easy-share link because i had a lot of problems to upload the theme in attach.
cheers

Great design!! Thanks for sharing!1 A couple of questions:
1) how much RAM memory approximately does all this setup take (including WAD, and all other plugins you've used)?
2) Can you change the profile easily from the main page? I can't see a volume or profile icon
3) Is there a page for contacts / quick dialing??
4) Can you add extra today plugins I'm currently using inside WAD?
Thanks!

Thanks KamaL,
1- In my device all the theme is current eating 2,6mb
2- Well, wad2 it's a hight customizable application and ofcourse changing quickly profile is one of the available options. It is only a mater of placing anywhere an icon and add to that icon the profile script command. In my case i don´t have that command defined but actually i don't have even half of the options that wad2 give me I think the best option is install wad2 and ckeck what you can do with it. You will be surprised with this!!!
3- My device is a Asus P750 that have a physical T9 keyboard so i didn't implement the contacts page because i spend much less time using smart dialing with T9, however you can add that page and use the speed dial options of wad2, later i will post the contacts page with the matching design of this theme
4- You can add all the plugins you wont, ofcourse you must prepare the wad2 layout to receive that plugins but you can do it, no problem!!

[Skin] [Updated, for QVGA and WQVGA devices] Omnia SPB Mobile Shell 2.1.2 Theme

NOTE: For WQVGA (as in Omnia, 240x400) Version, please see this post:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2633664&postcount=245

Update 10-Sep-2008 : Added Omnia today theme tsk file (attached below)
Update 09-Sep-2008 : Cab file (see How to Install below) and Phone Suites profile icons (see FAQ #8)
---------------------
Inspired by Samsung Omnia. This theme is for QVGA devices ONLY. Optimized for portrait mode use, but also supports landscape mode.
NOTE: I designed this for Mobile Shell 2.1.2, but it should work on version 2.1 (with issues on highlights and overlapping classes.)
Features/Notes/FAQ:
1) Now Screen, Calendar page, Launcher Page, MRU Page, 3 Contacts pages. (Gesture left or right to get to the MRU and other Contacts pages.)
2) Selecting any of the Color Themes will result in a change in the Today wallpaper similar to the theme's background image.
3) If you prefer flat black bars (which I think goes well with the theme), please see this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2585006&postcount=4
4) I added additional Main Menu icons (please see post#2 below.)
5) For Games and Task Menu items with correct Menu Icons, please see this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2584998&postcount=2
6) How to switch between the 3 different Now Screens? please see post#3 below.
7) How to show calendar events and Alarm on the Calendar Page and Professional Now Screen? pleasee see post#3 below.
8) For SPB Phone Suites users, you can try the profile icons here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2617408&postcount=57
9) Is there a version with white texts and a darker background? Yes, please see this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2624349&postcount=158
10) Can you please make a simpler version, e.g. only one contact page? It's already available here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2628054&postcount=204

screenshot update!
this is great! i also find manila 2d a bit too much for my titan (sprint mogul) and prefer running wad2. i've been using this theme and made some tweaks for my own usage. it's great because wad2 is so easy to customize. and i love how much weather info and built in system monitors and readings you can use. i really appreciate the effort in making this skin!
i just have a couple issues i thought i would ask about. first, the photo page seems to take forever to load and hogs down system resources indefitinely when changing the path to a folder on the storage card. this may be related to the number of photos i have there and not the path itself. just thought i'd see if anyone was experiencing the same.
second, the sms plugin doesn't seem to be working. i don't see any of my messages on the sms page (and i have installed the xiamultitheme plugin). touching where the plugin is located on the sms does launch the sms app. any ideas?

No, I meant the SMS, but I see they have a new method now (instead of using MortScript like you had used before). I will have to try it out sometime. I hope to have the From and maybe the first few words from the newest message on the SMS tab on my theme.
I was able to try out your theme and it's very good. Keep them coming!
random question, but what kind of battery drain do you guys see with WAD2? i used to run spb mobile shell, but the extra battery drain was annoying.

Alecs Windows-Phone-7 Taskbar Icons W/VGA WM6.5/6.5.X [June 20 update!]

WARNING: installing this taskbar implies a risk of rendering your taskbar inoperable (especially if you have a stock rom on your device), which leads to impossibility to access the start menu to remove it. To avoid this, go to post #3, read it and install the attached cab.
JUNE 20 UPDATE: added new cab -Alecs WP7 Taskbar V2.0- built with HD2 files. This cab works both on WM6.5 and 6.5.X and on most devices (theoretically). This time I added CDMA and other specific icons. You'll notice that all the icons in V2.0 have rounded corners (this suits better with the actual skinning trends on XDA). To get the volume icon working, download Volume Fixes V2.zip and install the appropriate cab inside. Please note that is still in TESTS! And don't forget to post your feedback!

WVGA & VGA
QVGA & WQVGA - not available
WM 6.5 & 6.5.X
GSM & CDMA (only in v2.0)
WWE (English) ROMS only! Users with Non-WWE ROMS
read post #9
Built for HTC devices! Chances for this to work on other devices
(Toshiba, Samsung, Asus etc) are small.
After almost 4 weeks of work on this project I managed today to finally take out the first cabs. I'm pretty sure this is gonna look good on your phones, it does on mine. Though I don't particularly like WP7 themes, I must agree that their light blue tone really looks good on a pitch black background, so I decided to set this blue-square look on the taskbar.
INFO (read carefully)
This is a work in progress! Some icons (not many) are not skinned yet; further skinning is scheduled, but for now my work focuses on adapting the icons for W/QVGA. CDMA users will have to wait a few days for an updated cab, as I did not had the time (and patience) to draw the cdma icons for this release. Some of the icons were created by modifying images available on the web, thus credit goes to their authors. Please, do not post questions like "Will this work on my X device?", just try at your own risk and find out if it does; it's hard for me to know the effects of these cabs on different roms and devices. Due to the current rom abundance it's impossible to create an universal taskbar cab file and to make all users happy. I cannot be held responsible for any eventual damage or disfunctionalities following the installation of my cabs.
HOW TO INSTALL
1. If you have a custom taskbar installed, uninstall it first and reboot.
2. Download and install the cab that matches your OS (WM 6.5 has the start icon on the upper-left corner, WM6.5.X has the start icon on the bottom-left corner), then reboot. Though the cab contains the certifications, it's safer for you to first install sdkcerts.
3. For WM6.5.X- after the installation there's a chance your volume icons won't get skinned (or the volume area will not respond to touch). In this case you must identify your version of HTCVolumeControl.dll (you can find it in the Windows folder using Resco Explorer or Total Commander, but be sure you uncheck the "Hide hidden files" option first). Then download the appropriate VolumeFix cab from post #2, install it and perform a reboot.
First release: 22.05.10
- Alecs WP7 Taskbar V1-WM6.5 W/VGA
- Alecs WP7 Taskbar V1-WM6.5.X W/VGA
Second release: 20.06.10
- Alecs WP7 Taskbar V2.0 (single cab for both wm6.5 and 6.5.X)
V1
V2
Currently skinned icons:
-signal
-volume
-battery
-notifications (sms, mms, missed calls etc.)
-alarm
-wifi
-GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSDPA icons and connecting animations
-activesync
-headset, BT stereo headset
-start icon
-flight mode, GPS, no SIM etc etc.
Other Icons:
- Custom wait cursor (used temporary): the standard WM cursor switched to light blue.
- Custom system folder icons (icon is from a shared icon archive here on XDA. Whoever the author is, I thank him). If you don't like this icon, uninstall the taskbar and go back to the old boring folder icons
- Custom icon for .exe files (that don't have their own icon)
TO DO:
-nothing; this project is currently on hold and no further updates scheduled.
Special Thanks to:
Shahab2500, for his testing activity and feedback.
djcedric, for allowing me to use and modify his nice speaker icons
DarkNinja, for his great wait cursor (not used in this release though)
Other users who did a great job with their taskbar projects (dafunk, Brians, Dinik, ArtieQ and so on)
Ascary, Phenomen, Steff195, Khosty and other people who encouraged this project.
All people who like and use this taskbar.
If you like this project and wanna see it grow, don't be shy and press the donate button . I do this for fun, but any contribution is appreciated.
HTCVolumeControl.dll versions:
In order to prevent the imposibility to access the start menu and reach the "Remove programs" option to uninstall my taskbar if it didn't work for you (and your taskbar disappeared), install the attached cab. It sends a shortcut to start menu in your start menu (sounds weird I know), so you can place this shortcut as a sense quicklink (see the screenshots). This way you'll still be able to go to start menu if your taskbar doesn't respond.
HD2 users can remove my taskbar by going to Programs Manager via Sense 2.5 settings tab.
Note: I'm not the author of the exe file used in this cab (this exe opens the start menu), and unfortunately I can't remember who the author is. But the credit goes to him, whoever he his.

Looks really nice bro, I'll give it try!
Edit - Unsuccessful here on my HD2 running Miri's v17.0 Rom. Made sure I had the sdkcert installed then installed the 6.5.x cab and the only icon that shows up is the Bluetooth icon. It did not render my device inoperable though so I was able to uninstall without issue.
Not working on my HD2 German Stock ROM 1.66.407.1.
All taskbar icons disappear and I can't access start menu after installing this.
Uninstall worked at least.
Oh, @Etihad, I forgot to mention that this is for WWE roms only. I'll update the first post with this info. However, there is a fix for this, read below:
gfreek said:
Known issue with some ROM’s when installing this taskbar:
The start logo, signal and other icons do not change this is because this taskbar works well with WWE ROM’s that call on the taskbar file shellres.192.dll in windows folder for these icons, if you are using a ROM that calls on shellres.192.dll.0409.mui if it’s English ordepending on the language you have on your ROM that 0409 number could be different example 0410 etc...then not all the icon’s will change!!!
This can be fixed after installing this taskbar go to windows folder of your device and you should see these 2 files shellres.192.dll and shellres.192.dll.0409.mui first rename shellres.192.dll.0409.mui toshellres.192.dll.0409.mui_z andthenrename the shellres.192.dll to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui in the windows folder of your device using either Total Commander or Resco File explorer soft reset that should do the trick! If this sounds complicated then post here with the name of that file in the windows folder of your device example shellres.192.dll.0409.mui or whatever it is then I can post a cab fix here!

Thanks for appreciation guys, it means allot after all this hard work.
QVGA version is coming soon; almost all icons were resized, but some of them must be build from scratch, as resizing makes them too blury.
Two thumbs up!
Very glad to see your work here. As we spoke on other forums, I can hardly wait to test the WQVGA version, and maybe include it in my roms, with your permission, of course (but we already discussed about that ). But, you don't have to rush this, just take your time and get the best of it.
I could use the blue WP7 style cursor also on my Omnia.
Until then, two thumbs up!
QVGA Version
Taskbar looks great with your icons. Eager to see the QVGA version for installing on the phone.
imax98
it didn't work well on my omnia 2 wm 6.5.3
only the time appears..
Omnia, Omnia 2 and other non-HTC devices have different dll structure, so it's normal for this to not work on these devices. I updated the first post with this info. I'm working on a dedicated cab for Samsung Omnia, but I can't promise anything for Omnia 2 (different resolution, different dlls, allot of work for replacing all the resources).
To those who try the cab and it doesn't work, please specify:
- your device
- your ROM (6.5, 6.5.X, build, version, author)
- the nature of the problem (taskbar dissapearance, misalignments etc)
.
Great job. Works perfect on 6.5.x Nrgz ROM! Congrats!
i guess i made a right action when i specify my device.
i'll wait for an update on my device....this taskbar looks cool actually.
nice taskbar

Special thanks:
Thanks to M-MAX, NAONG and Vostradamus for his widgets used in my theme
Thanks to vincent.316 for his HTC Pure 3 Theme which formed my bottom menu bar
Thanks to Zandog for theme idea and background
I made 3 version of theme. They differ in purpose contacts button of bottom menu bar:
First: open favorites SPB contacts.
Second: open the Phonex address book.
The third: open the Inesoft Phone Address Book.
You must have installed Phonex or Inesoft Phone for 2-3 versions
Installation:
- INSTALL TO DEVICE MEMORY
- install on a clean Shell
Problems are all related to a non ENGLISH rom version.
1. Don`t work:
- Just duplicate the SPB Mobile shell folder under the Localized program files folder to a "Program Files" folder on the root of device.
For example my "Program Files" is "Programas" (Portuguese) so i made a folder named "Program Files" on the root and copied the "SPB Mobile shell folder" into there after a reboot everything works. Of course you'll get extra 11,25MB ocupied but until no other solution it works very well". Thanks to jpl69
2. Installed Phonex or Inesoft Phone Version of the theme to a non ENGLISH rom version, contacts button don`t open Phonex or Inesoft Phone address book:
- find with Registry Editor:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\Menu\Root\MenuBarKn_R]
- edit "Program Files" to "Programas" (Portuguese) for exemple:
"File"="\Program Files\Iconsoft\PhonEx\Contacts.exe"
or
"File"="\Program Files\Inesoft Phone\Address Book.exe"
Haw to change the background:
1. LifeStile panel: copy from SPB Mobile Shell folder background.dat. Rename to background.bmp. Edit and save. Rename to background.dat. Finish SPB Mobile Shell. Copy background.dat to SPB Mobile Shell folder. Restart SPB Mobile Shell.
2. Other panels: copy from SPB Mobile Shell folder qa_fundotela.dat. Rename to qa_fundotela.zip. Unpack files with password b0fm18zq. Edit files from archive and save. Pack files to qa_fundotela.zip with password b0fm18zq . Rename to qa_fundotela.dat. Copy file to SPB Mobile Shell folder . Restart SPB Mobile Shell.
