I havent actually upgraded s2u2 since .99p.. a little behind (but it works so I figure why change .. plus I hear newest version has battery drain issues)
but once I upgrade I will look into that!

I can try to see what it will look like resized, I am working on a wm7 theme right now for PCM, rltoday, s2u2, dialer, and a slight mod of the qvista mortplayer theme, so when I am done with that I will look at it

I can't seem to find the topbar and bottom bar png files in my 'gfx' folder. But the bars are there. Is this 'hard coded' into S2U2 v.1.22?
By the way, how did you move the 'number' (for missed call, sms, etc) from bottom to top??

i am running this theme on s2u2 1.33. there seem to be problem with the notification icons on s2u2. i have a new email, but on the notification, its show MMS instead. i tried removing the notice.png and replacing it, it still the same problem. anyone else experiencing this?

BUT....I have a Touch Diamond, and the wallpaper is very small aswell the slider.
So, could this be made for a VGA device? For the Touch Diamond?!

You can simply disable top and bottom curton in s2u2 settings!
hey guys sorry I havent checked this thread forever.
I cannot really convert this to VGA, as when I made this theme I accidentily flattened the lock icon and never saved my vectored version, meaning I cannot really resize it without redoing it completely (which I would do if I had a VGA device to test/use this on)
problems you are having with the notifications are due to a new notice.png in verson 1.33 i think which added two more icons, you can fix this by opening the new notice.png default in 1.33, then taking mine and fitting my icons into the correct positions again.
i moved the number of the missed call etc to the top of the icon by increasing the canvas size of the notice.png and moving the notice icons underneath the numbers

wish I could help you guys out with VGA, seriously if I had a VGA device I'd do it in a second, there just isnt much reason since I cannot test it or use it myself

And for sms to work make sure mortscript is installed(here) and with a registry program create the registry key 'HKLM/Software/ThrottleLauncher/Messaging'
Usage:::
Slide up/down to show/hide bottom dock
Slide right for contacts dock, slide left for Applications dock
Taskbar is hidden on defualt, tap the date underneath the clock to launch the start menu/show taskbar. Or if you need the taskbar just enable on the page, the theme will not be affected[/SIZE]
tapping the "Updated..." on the weather page will update the weather
there is a notification tab for email, notification counters for sms and appointments, and notification bubbles that pop up for missed calls and voicemails (as these need your attention the most I'd think). they all hide when count is 0

just sounds like the "messaging" app is in a different location than on my phone. no biggie. Put WAD into author mode and long press on the sms link, select properties, then select script, hilight "launch a program" and edit it to point to whatever messaging app on your phone you want.

You're quite welcome. And thank you for the simplistic nature of the design. I was actually able to build the QVGA on top of your original. Didn't have to start from scratch.

sounds like program issues more than anything.
long click on the homscreen and go to settings to make sure that "detatch from today screen" is NOT checked. also check the wakeup tab to see if its checked to run on soft reset

Couple of points I would love to change, if you could advised me how to:
1. your vista orb gives a list of apps, ok just realize it is picking up the apps from program list I created (so if I arrange my list to have the ones I want to show up then they will be in the list when I press the ORB...cool
2. ok then my next (first since the first was not a question at all , is their a way to cut the list down to 6 apps showing instead of 7 (the last app covers the ORB - see screenshot) unless it is possible to move the whole popup upwards above the SPB3 taskbar? (would be great if the Vista ORB was visable and we could tap on it again to close the menu)
3 (2) is it possible to have the Program tab show when first clicking on programs instead of the SPB Menu tab.
EDIT: actually looking at your screenshots, the popup menu is suppose to popup above the taskbar, my setup seems to be different (and yes I did DL & Install the VGA version onless the DL files were mixed up)

It's a skin for SPB Mobile Shell 3
When you have install SPB MS3, install the cab of wmseven and if you want the black version overwrite the files in your ppc with the files of black version

Thanks apothehouse, is their a reason then mine is showing 7 shortcuts as can been seem from the right side of the menu it ends above the taskbar so I don't understand why this is happening.

Its much like M2D, SPB SHELL and Iphone today all combined, but simpler.
Its still a little buggy on different devices and (suposedly) a bit of a memory drain, currently theres no ladscape support.

- You can click once on the upper window on the HOME tab to fix it to the windows there, with 3 extra shortcuts that you can change easily.
- Ordering the launcher and contacts is pretty obvious, just press whithout releasing the finger and drag afterwords. To remove, use the SETTINGS softkey.
- The big weather is reached after clicking a city. As mentioned by bugsykoosh, the C anf F are also clickable to choose weather type.
- Also mentioned before, the SETTINGS icon on the home tab allows more customization.
- The weather wallpaper option are JPG's inside \Program Files\MotoSurf\ , in fact all the images, icons and XML's that make the layout seem to be there, so skinning and modding this baby should be a breeze.

I have an Omnia (WQVGA) - Motosurf works great, however the icons are stretched, as is the wallpaper. I've re-sized the icons and tweaked some of the other images to fit properly - how though do I go about actually resizing the entire UI to fit 240x400? Is it as simple as adjusting the sizes (240x320) included in the xml files? How to you get the photo viewer to see your storage card I already made the my document and picture folder is there something I am missing?
Another tip, I moved my pictures to:
\Storage card\My documents\My pictures and now all the pics are showing up there.
The bottom softkeys open the picture album or a autoplay slideshow.

thanks for the file. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do much to the standard layout, except for reducing the size of the calendar text on the home page. The wallpaper is still stretched, as are the contact and favorites images. Thanks for the effort though.
I've attached the icons I re-sized for WQVGA, so they are not stretched. Just unzip and replace current tga files (backup as necessary).
Do you guys have the fix for the favorite aplication issue?, i cannot add one single program !!!

On 26/5 I updated every theme with some settings adjustmens (the most noticeble is a little increase of the indented area and so a more WP7 proportioned icon grid) and added few wallpapers inside icons folder.
Since I've seen only fully black backgrounds in all WP7 UI (really boring) , I put a themed wallpaper as default background, but you can easily switch to another one of your choice or to a solid color.

3 - Copy contents of attached "WP7 Theme" folder into iPhoneToday program folder; black, red and GTX theme here,

NOTES- Added clean screen (last picture)
- this theme is made for WVGA-VGA devices, for different screen sizes you need to edit (not necessary all)
settings->screen->icon width
settings->screen->Offsetts->R value (it's the indented area and affects the horizontal icons spacing)
settings->screen->Text Settings->text height (it's the vertical spacing between icons)- to switch to a solid color background go to options->wallpaper-> delete the selected wallpaper name and leave the selection blank, then select a color from the bottom selector.
- Check out iPhoneToday thread for more commands to associate with icons (e.g. start menu,custom rotation angle, soft reset, open a specific email account... ecc.)
- If you install iPT as "today plugin", you can use nueNoBar to hide bottom bar , I quickly tested on WM6.5.5 and works, but can't say about battery draining, I prefer to have a metro bottom bar
- I suggest to use uTask to make this UI smarter

you should check in iPhoneToday thread, I don't remember if animated images are supported, to get your contact pictures you have to edit the icon image

I add here a new version of icons.xml , works for all theme colors .
Now if iPhoneToday is srcolled, leads to clean screen (to appreciate your wallpapers) with only visible time,date,notifications.
In fact are icons, without images, and if pressed nothing happens, (to delete notification you have to scroll up and use a visible icon).
If you want to have this without overwrite your own icons.xml edit iPT settings and add icons as in last picture example.
i couldnt find anything regarding animated hubs in the thread, is there a script that can do this ?

sorry but I've only a wvga device, you ,or another qvga user, could try editing the settings.xml (it should be all in there) to fit the theme on your device ,and upload it here

you can do it directly from iPhoneToday settings, if the iPT icon is not displayed on your QVGA screen jus press for a couple of seconds on the screen -in an area without icons- it will appear a menu-> chose options-> screen and try different icon width and offsets values

I just copy the WP7 to the iPhoneToday... the icon width change itself to 90. Before this i just change the icon & set the icon width but the icon placed on the middle of the screen. With your Setting.xml my icon is left indent... look very nice, once again Thank You So Much.

hi, the upper taskbar is stock (just have a new battery icon included in HD2 Artemis ROM), the bottom one is included in attached WM themes

I used this set as base (cropped, edited size, colors, text..) ,here a different style, but you find tons in the web.

awesome theme way to go my new fave, how hard would it be to make a live weather tile? or message or phone calls show 0 until you get a call and the tile changes not the bubble pop up

same as above, is just a phone icon, notifications come from windows OS.
If you don't like bubbles you can change settings to display only numbers:
settings->bubbles->type=notif image=bubbles\notif .
I setted bubbles cause I find them more noticeable and eye candy than a plain number
