Uploaded new cab that now includes the New MMSC Settings For T-Mobile. So the following List of instructions are no longer needed if you are on t-mobile. I will leave them here just incase. Can you give out what the registry is supposed to look like after your cab is installed?
I still have SampleMMS and no Tmobile MMS and not sure if it makes a difference with my issue.. also most values on send and receive are not at 300k when i look under arcsoft in the registry..
I installed your cab and set up the settings like your post said but I still can't receive mms.

The cab isn't setting up the gprs settings on my phone, am I doing something wrong?

No your not, that is the same issue I am having.. you have to set it up yourself.. with the instructions on the first post..
I haven't been able to receive MMS using that cab but I can send them out up to 300k ...

Yea, ended up doing that.
Likewise, incoming mms aren't coming in. =/
edit: and now I can't send either. oops.

install the cab then ensure the GPRS settings are correct.. to test send an MMS to your email.. make a contact title it something like "my email" and put your email and make sure your email is saved as email and not mobile or anything else.. then send a pic to your email. you should be able to send it.. the same would work if you would send it to a differ cell phone..
the only issue here is that the incoming will not work and I'm not sure why..

Turns out it was crappy reception in my shop I can send them. =X
Now it's just the phone mocking me by lighting up when an mms comes in.

I just did a clean install of the ROM and went ahead and installed the suggested cab..when I got to this step there was no option to select Tmobile MMS??? I thought the default option to select was WAP? in any case it didnt' work
also when you install the mms cab it already puts a t mobile mms settings in the message options..but its flawed because it doesn't let you edit or delete it. you have to select it as default or create a new mms settings under different name and set that to default. i did that with your suggestioned and created new settings with differ name. Event editing the suggested settings from the cab doesn't work because it forces you to save new name and it keeps the same old settings.

I reinstalled shadowmoikes mms cab and tried it with out wifi and had no internet so I had to uninstall it and had internet did you louse it to there has to be a resin my mms works with images the other thing I did is use network wizard but it will set the data to wap. a long with mms

well the only thing I can get working with it is sending pics out and upon receiving my phone lights up for few seconds and then the light dims back down.. when it lights up the bars do not change to E like it is supposed to to connect to receive the pic.
Do you have the network wizard cab? do you mind posting it here? I have one from another thread but upon instillation no icons show up...
I sincerely appreciate you helping me out.

Operator Coniguration settings...

I know this has been asked before but 20 min with search and google has only come up with half answers so far.
I was wondering if there was a place that had all of the operator configuration settings. Finding the GPRS t-mobile USA settings are eas, but what about MMS, voicemail (seems not to work with generic world english ROMS), etc?
I have been looking through the ROMs but have found no easy way to rip them out for use with another ROM.
sorry for the probebly stupid post.
Here are some different sets of Settings for TMO USA.
For GPRS/Edge
TMO Simple GPRS:

3. Click on "manage existing connections"
4. Click on "edit" to edit the T-Mobile GPRS entry
5. Click Next to get to the setting called "Access point name"
6. Change this to "internet2.voicestream.com" (you can also try wap.voicestream.com)
7. Click next, then finish (no username and password or domain)
For MMS:
MMS Settings TMO 3 Dec 06
1. Tap Start again.
2. Tap Messaging.
3. Tap Menu.
4. Tap MMS Configuration.

11. Tap to select "T-Mobile GPRS" from the Connect via drop down list.
12. Tap to select WAP 2.0 from the WAP Version dropdown.
13. Sending Size Limitation: 292K
14. WAP Version: WAP 2.0
15. Click OK
16. Highlight "T-Mobile MMS"
17. Click "Set As Default"
18. Click OK
Note: the previous examples assume you've named the connection T-Mobile GPRS
This worked for me once and than I couldn't get it to work for me again. I also have a .cab file which sets this to work perfectly on the Wizard for TMO USA. I've uploaded to me.
Lot's of people complain on this site that people don't read previous posts. I've read for hours and not found what I need. That's why I'm answering you r post

great write up! but unforunately, i tried it on my 8525 and it didn't work. i'm still not able to get MMS.
i assumed this would work on the 8525 as well.
Wizards are funny that way sometimes things work other they don't, at least that's what I have been able to understand from my experience with mines. About MMS settings I've noticed that if I do a hard reset and mess around with the settings a bit, and leave the MMS settings for latter that no matter how many times I put them in they won't work, now if I do a hard reset and the first thing I do before settings anything else up is do my MMS and my GPRS settings using the exact same settings everything works perfectly, and another thing I usually just punch in the settings myself, I haven't had one of those network settings cab work for me yet. In other words if you've tried everything else and no dice, you might think about doing a hard reset and setting up all these things as soon as you can.

I have used the setup above for years in my 8125.
Unfortunately, after July 23rd, TMO USA updated their system and my GPRS settings stop working for some reason...
Does anybody has the new GPRS configuration for TMO USA?
I struggled with this today as well until I tried Gateway "216.155.165.50" not "216.155.165.050". All is well now.

error sending and receiving picture messages

i hard spl'd my phone and now i am unable to send or receive picture messages under mms.....it asks me to download but is unable to download or send after countless tries.....anybody have this problem or know a fix?
Try looking at your other topic.
had similar problem
for me, fix was go to a new mms message, go to the MMS options via the menu, go to servers tab, and take out a "default" server that shouldn't have been there. Setting my t-mobile mms server to default did the trick.
good luck

Not sure this is your problem, but it's worth a shot..
1. Go to your Messages tab
2. Press "All Messages"
3. Press "Menu"
4. Press "MMS Options..." (last option in the menu)
5. Press the Servers tab
6. Select your Provider and keep it on screen that comes up.
7. Go to your Provider's website (preferably on your computer)
8. Search for their MMS settings (or just google it, ie. AT&T MMS settings)
9. Compare those settings to the ones you have and make sure they match up
.
just check your mms settings
sometime there is only one thing not correct in the settings

thnx in advance...
Please post in the ROM's thread for issues. You started 2 topics allready, which should not be here.
which settings cab did you use? The one for Sense 2.5 or 2.1? I am using currently the same ROM and have no issues with MMS. Send and recieve just fine. I got my cabs from the wingster site. Do a quick search and be patient, help is available.
try this mms fix
http://www.thewingster.com/mmsfixm25.aspx
the mms fix above worked for me great..which is specifically for our problem..
once you install you have to go to your "all messages" screen or "inbox" then >menu>settings>options>menu>mms server>set tmobile as default..also click on tmobile to make sure "connect via" is set to tmobile mms then set your send limit to you desired amout of kb's!!!
hope this worked!! ENJOY....

All of your answers are already in the LEO ROM thread...

ok so i made a cab to add the tmo mms settings to the htc messaging client that manila uses. it should work on any version of the messaging client and doesnt replace the whole client like the other fixes do so it wont cause crashes.
View attachment 263228
just to be sure, make sure that the connection setup had already ran and had configured your phone previously and if not, make sure you run it.

ok, the previous cab i made replaces the messaging client entirely, which is un-needed now that nrg includes that same version in his roms. this cab just has the reg entries alone so it should work with any version of the messaging client. so uninstall the previous cab and use this one.

omg thats happening to me too, i reflashed my rom and installed the cab, nd now this happens =/ wtf?! help again?! ugh!
This has always worked for me as a fail-safe. Depending on your ROM and manila version sometimes you have to look in slightly different places to get to the same thing but here is what I have:
1. Start, Settings, Connections, and then tap the Connections Icon
2. Under "My Work Network" tap Add a New Modem Connection
3. Name it Picture Messaging and under Select a modem select (GPRS,3G)
4. Under Access Point Name type: wap.voicestream.com
5. Username, Password, and Domain is left blank and then click Finish
6. Now, go into Proxy Settings under "my work network: and check "This network connects to the Internet" and check "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet"
7. Under the Proxy Server box type: 216.155.165.050
8. Tap the advanced button and tap on the HTTP line. Make sure the HTTP settings shows 216.155.165.050:80. If not, change it.
9. Click the OK button a few times to get out of the settings completely.
10.Now go to messages (in manila) and click all messages, then menu, and mms options. go to servers tab. select new. Call it T-Mobile.
11. MMS gateway address is 216.155.165.050 and port number is 80
14. MMS URL is http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
15. Finally under Network Profile select: My Work Network and then click ok.

AT&T US 3G/Data settings for iPhone Users

Edit: Whoops! Looks like this belongs in a different forum! My apologies for apparently not doing enough homework!
Hi all, I've looked around online and found no mention of the fact that the 3g/Data settings for those with an iPhone Data plan are different than the standard wap.cingular... So for those of you with iPhone data plans looking to use a different phone, here's some info:
---APN settings for data---
APN: phone
Username:
Password:
---APN settings for MMS---
APN: wap.cingular
Username:
Password:
Server (MMSC): http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Proxy port: 80
Update 2010-08-19:
Setup steps for WM 6.1
----------- Connection Setup -----------
From the Start menu select Settings
Go to the Connections tab at the bottom
Tap the Connections icon
In the Advanced tab tap Select Networks
You should be at a page that says Network Management
Under "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using:", tap New

In the upper right corner of the screen press ok
Press ok again
Press ok a third time
----------- MMS Setup -----------
Now get to the list of your text messages
Hit Menu and select MMS Options
You should now be at a Settings page
Go to the Servers tab
If you already have an AT&T MMS server select that, othewise select New
Under Server Name: type AT&T MMS
Under Gateway: type wireless.cingular.com
Under Port Number: type 80
Under Server address: type http://mmsc.cingular.com
Under Connect Via: select AT&T MMS (this is the name of one of the connections we just set up)
Under Send limit: select 1000K
Press Done
In the upper right corner of the screen press ok
Soft reset for good measure...
Test out your settings! Good luck!
Disclaimer and additional info: I cannot guarantee that these settings and/or this procedure will work for you. All I know is that this works for me. Also, I cannot guarantee that AT&T will not notice that you are not using an iPhone with your iPhone data plan and change your plan and charge you $$$$$. If you bought your phone from AT&T, then they can use your IMEI number to figure out exactly what kind of phone you are currently using. If you didn't buy your phone from AT&T they can still figure out that your phone isn't bought from AT&T. In fact their system does this automatically to display a picture for your phone when you login to your account online. However, to my knowledge (which isn't that good), their system does not automatically change your data plan. If you call AT&T for help with something, you should have an iPhone to make the call with, otherwise the support people can notice. Use all of the above info at your own risk.
what about this?

aren't these the iphone settings?
Those are not the settings that the iPhone uses. As far as I know, those are the settings that everybody else uses.
