S730 Flash Player - HTC Wings

I often use a website on my PC that has live video streaming and I'd like to try and get this working on my phone.
The streaming is in the .flv & .swf formats and is linked to a website, meaning I don't have a direct url to get straight to the streaming.
I've got TCPMP & the FLV plugin but it still refuses to play.

Getting Streaming Video or Audio

I haven't been able to get any audio or video streams to work on the kaiser. I have tried both IE and Opera. With my treo 750 windows media player would open and the stream would begin. With the kaiser, I get a message re: save or open stream. Neither selection works. Any thoughts?
Bump please. I can't figure this out.
Pocket Player will stream .pls and other formats as well as wma. I found that the best way to do it is to set up PP as the default device associated with all media types (omfg I wish I could uninstall WMP). Then maneuver to the streaming link on your mobile browser (dito for Opera over PIE) and click on the streaming link and PP should open and pick it up. Works like a dream.
I always use KCRW to test streaming capability - it's the most reliable and stable I have found (not to mention it's also an awesome station...). Click on the "Listen" link and then look for the "Stand Alone Player" links. I prefer mp3 streams.
Hope this helps.

Tilt Video questions

Took some video at a club last night. It's saved on my device as an MP4.
Even though I have it set to record audio as well, I can't seem to get audio to play when I watch the video in windows media player.
Is it possible the audio was recorded, but I just don't have the correct program for it to play properly?
When I copy to my PC via activesync, what program can I use for an MP4 file? Winamp and windows media player will not play the file.
thanks, I realize these are kind of newb questions.
I use Nero Showtime ... for some reason, quicktime will not play these MP4 files ... they may be formated differently.
Thanks. Are there any freeware options for playing these videos?
I wonder if this is related to the video driver issue.
download Videolan or also called VLC. Its an excellent standalone program that does not require any codecs. Its free too.

Yeah man i never got Youtube to work. I installed TCPMP and flash video, soft reset and nothing. I just use VTap. I can search for videos on youtube and watch them.
Look for VTap
All I do is win
I had the same thing. The streaming media player can't really be trusted for youtube it seems. I found a neat little program on the forum which plays youtube video's very well. It's called "Youtubeplay" and can be found here: LINK. I can now watch youtube in the train

Video problems - please help

The problem I have is when I go to internet and launch the BBC news video/audio website, and click on a video link I get the message "Cannot play media. You do not have the correct version of Flash Player." What is the correct version? I have Flash Lite version 2.1
Also on the BBC.co.uk/mobile site on my HTC touch I could stream the video as a wma file. The option now on the Diamond is 3GP, which will not stream and the site times out. I can download and save the file, then play it back ok.

Windows Media Player Problems

Ever since I upgraded(yeah right..) to Windows Mobile 6.1 I cant play videos through windows media player. On 6.0 I used to watch MPEG-4, and ASF videos all the time. Since I upgraded though WMP wont play MP4 videos, and ASF playback is so choppy its impossible to watch. What can I do to fix this without installing another media player application?
Custom rom or stock rom?
Carrier branded device, or unlocked htc device?
Edit:
Actually, how about you give us as much details as you can about your device and what you've tried so far
Im using the official Windows 6.1 rom on an ATT Tilt w/o any other apps running. The MPEG files I used to play on my phone before were no longer supported by WMP. I tried re-encoding the files and that didnt work. I tried lowering the quality and that hadnt worked. I searched google and saw that WMP only supported mp3 and ASF files so I encoded the video as an ASF and that worked but playback was extremely choppy. I cant really think of anything else to do so I came on here.

Ok OK....What I want to know is how the hell did you get WMP to play it before????????? WMP doesn't play MP4 never did. Anyway, If you can play the videos you have on the Desktop Windows Media Player, hook up your, open Desktop WMP, hit Sync Tab, Sync your phone(and/or Storage card), select the video to sync list, and sync. Desktop version will convert for mobile version. If you can't play the videos in Desktop Media Player then you'll have convert the video in something it can play. TCPMP and Coreplayer are way better, but I use Media from time to time.
