Q: Purchasing a HTC Diamond from Expansys (HK) - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi,
Im about to purchase a Diamond from the Expansys Hong Kong site and have a few questions.
I presume that the handsets are unlocked and unbranded. Is this correct?
Are there any fellow Aussie's who have purchased the handset from Expansys HK?
Any other experiences with Expansys that users wish to add would be welcomed.
Thanks

Almost all phones in HK are unlocked, unless you buy it with a carrier here. So it is safe to assume that the Diamond that you'll purchase in Expansys HK is unlocked and unbranded.

Indeed these eXpansys ones are SIM Free HK Versions Rom = 1.34

Anyone want to sell me their O2 Stellar? :)

I've been keeping up with O2 Stellar for quite awhile. A recent browse through their website shows the Stellar is on sale however a purchase of a plan is necessary. I put in couple words for O2 and ebay (uk) but none of them want to ship to the US.
Where can you purchase them?
Any UK member want to sell one to me
why don't you just buy an unbranded HTC phone ? same phone but without all the O2 bloatware

Expansys UK

Hi everyone,
I got this off from the Forum on the Expansys site:
HTC Diamond - Expansys China ImportsAll,
I have been advised that the versions that Expansys are shipping have come from China so that is why they have released them early. There is no difference between the device or software build between the China versions or UK versions.
If anybody gets a UK version next week i would be interested in knowing if they are different?

Well I don't think so regarding the differences in software since it's now known that HTC is delaying the European release of the Diamond specifically to deal with software bugs.
I'm getting one too but I'll have to wait until later this month unfortunately.

Topaz from Australia in Europe

Hi! I'm new on xda and I have a very important question.
I want to buy TOPAZ in Australia (by eBay) and I'm wondering if it will be working properly in Europe (Poland exactly).
Price is the main reason.
If you can, tell me also where you can buy (which country) cheapest, brand new TOPAZ
Peace!
i'm in Australia and bought mine from the UK as it was available there, but not here, and also it was cheaper there than would have been here (under AUD$800)
The UK version of the phone works just fine in Australia, so as long as Poland uses any of the frequency bands the Diamond2 supports, it'll be just fine.
i think that for me is cheaper to buy in Australia than in UK because of my currency. for 1 pound I must pay 5.3 polish zloty (PLN) and for 1 australian dollar only 2.6 PLN...if I want to buy in UK it should cost about 300pounds...do you know any good, trusted eshops?
Clove.co.uk is very trustable...
got mine from ebay:
cc-electronicshk
under $700AUD delivered including an 8gb memory card!!!
bewdiful mate
I've searched on ebay some fine offers and I think that Australian Dollar is the best option about price. However it's making another problem. CC Electronics doesn't ship to Europe...

If you purchased your One from Australia, it will only have regional warranty. So if any problems occur, you will have to bring it back to HTC Australia and get it repaired. That is only available if the place where you intend to purchase is an authorized dealer.
Australia HTC One will not work completely with USA network. It will certainly lose 4G LTE compatibility and will have reduced reception due to different radio requencies used in USA and Australia.

[Q] 64GB 801S edition available in the UK?

Hi all,
Am travelling to the UK at the end of next month, and I noticed that MobiCity UK are stocking the 64GB 801S variant (Asian variant).
Would you think this is legit? I mean, why would they be stocking it in the UK? It fits perfect for me though, coming from Israel (it fits all our mobile provider frequencies..) - so am seriously thinking of picking one up when I get over there..
Also - the warranty issue - would I be covered by the HTC warranty? I understand that MobiCity won't cover me (as they need someone within the UK to purchase it with a UK address), but if HTC warranty is covered, I guess that's good enough. Or is it?
Bump... anyone?
Perhaps your local HTC office can answer questions about their warranty policy.
