How do i apply the rom? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

I have installed the Hardspl on my g4 phone all ok and downloaded a diamond 6.1 rom, but i cant work out how to apply it to the phone?
I also have the wizard service tool, but unsure how to write the rom?
Many thanks

Simply hook up your phone with pc via usb cable, open the Rom folder you downloaded and run the RUU (RomUpdate_Utility),it'll start to flash,The screen of your phone will change to Bootloaders mode (multicolor),let it finish,it'll restart and boot up to new OS(windows)

Thanks for you help zabardast,
My phone entered the bootloader, but the ruu returned a 300 update error?
Says i need to update the RUU version of the software?

try swapping(overwriting) the ruu files with the ones zabardast posted as an attachment in post 45 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2370483#post2370483

SSPL for Breeze

Is SSPL for Breeze anywhere to be found?
I'm having a gzillion problems with 1.29 Radio ROM (from 1.32.251.1_Test update), call drops, data drops, weak signal........
After installing named update I'm unable to install any other due to INVALID VENDOR ID error. Of course I didn't SuperCID my phone... My mteor is QTEK_A07 CIDed.
If there isn't a SSPL for Breeze is there any other way I could force some other Radio ROM in it?
Thanks a lot!
Yes, it works.
You can find further details here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282223
No, it does not on my MTeOR...
After starting SSPL-HERM.exe on device it just blanks the screen and locks... I have to remove the battery to restart it.
Check that you are using the HTC MTeoR EnterBL.exe in der RUU directory of this Tool.
SIM CID Unlock V3 has Hermes version inside which doesn't work with MTeorR/Breeze.
so this is what I did:
1. transfer RUU\EnterBL.exe to device
2. run EnterBL.exe on device -- phone restarts and enters BL
3. disable ActiveSync USB connections on PC
4. connect phone with USB cable
5. run RUU\ROMUpgradeUt.exe
and keep getting Error 262 at this point...
SSPL for BREEZE work-around
This will solve INVALID VENDOR ID error, but cannot be used to flash with new RUU Updater which requires SPL 1.10.
1. Copy SSPL-HERM.exe to your Breeze
2. Extract SPL 2.05 from RUU (RUU_BREE100_1.13.251.2_1.06.00.10_QtekEUR_Ship_R3, you can use WinRAR and dutty's good NBH tool), copy this SPL.nb to the same folder on device as SSPL-HERM.exe
2. start SSPL-HERM.exe with SPL.nb you just copied as parameter AND immediately press POWER and CAMERA buttons.
3. device will enter Bootloader. Screen will say "IPL 1.00 by Des SPL 2.05"
4. Start any RUU on computer, when complains about INVALID VENDOR ID, just restart RUU Updater without touching the device
Enjoy!!!
-- Now I just need to find the way to load Radio 1.38 on my MTeoR...
Just copy ROMUpgradeUt.exe from an older rom version into the directory of your 1.34 ROM and run it. Device will be update with the newer OS.
Secondly run ROMUpdateUtility.exe which is included inside the 1.34 ROM package. So your radio will be updated, too.

Yup... did that... and as already people wrote it didn't update the Radio...
Secondly run ROMUpdateUtility.exe which is included inside the 1.34 ROM package. So your radio will be updated, too.
Click to collapse
Did that too... But with no result... If I start my phone in 1.10 Bootloader ROMUpgradeUt.exe exits with INVALID VENDOR ID. If I start in 2.05 Bootloader, ROMUpgradeUt.exe reports some other error...
As I see it, the solution would be to start the phone with patched 1.10 BL that doesn't check for CID... or somehow SuperCID it...
Hello, did you managed to downgrade radio? I would like to flash original radio version (1.16) to my phone but I'm stuck at 1.34.
nope, still stuck on 1.29

Flashing the Charmer ROM

I seem to have run into a few problems with flashing the rom on my charmer. Using the aWizard 1.2 tool, CID unlock fails saying ¨ERROR: ITWriteDisk¨. When I run the RomUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID, it tells me that my phone is too late a model and to update my copy of the utility, even though it is the latest available. What can I do to flash the rom with a new image? I am eager to install my own custom rom.
Hi, try to download the newest RUU from http://syndykat.pl/wizard/ruu_eng.zip. Copy the rom file to the ruu folder and start ruu. Synchronize your charmer first.
Good luck!
Sorry for my english.

Stuck in Bootloader

Hi all,
I'm trying to upgrade from Molski 2.26 to WM6 and now I am stuck on bootloader mode. Since I'm in bootloader mode, activesync is not seeing my device. Because of that, I can't even load any other rom images, the upgrade utility simply quits because of that. Can anyone help? Thanks.
IPL/SPL 2.26 --> G3
since your stuck in bootloader mode activesync won't be active. When you are in the bootloader screen, hook up your usb to you wizard. There look in the bottom left corner you will/should see usb displayed there. Once you can confirm that, run the RUU and flash an OFFICIAL CARRIER ROM. After that try flashing wm6 again. hope that helps you out. To find official carrier rom look in some of the stickies they should links for you.
Hi,
I also have a T-Mobile MDA, and I got stuck at the bootloader screen. I tried flashing Wizard Love ROM, but it doesnt flash either. I bought the phone from ebay, and I'm not in the US. When I try to download the TMobile ROM, it asks me for a valid TMobile phone number, which I dont have.
Is there any other place where I can get the TMobile ROM to flash on the phone?
I dont get it. If you're stuck in bootloader, just connect the usb cable and run official RUU.
Cheers,
vlodeck.

"UPDATE: STEP BY STEP HOW TO RETURN TO STOCK SPL - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!
0. be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!
1. download the stock spl package from this post.
2. also download the original hardspl from the attachments in this post.
3. run the hardspl exe but do not click anything in RUU yet. just let the hardspl EXE extract the files for flashing.
4. the SPL you want to revert to is a .NBH file, put the NBH in the extracted hardspl package, overwriting the original NBH file in it!
5. continue with the RUU (or if needed, run SSPL-Manual.exe manually, then run RUU when it goes to black screen), it goes to 100%, reboots, done.
+6. to verify, volume down + reset, see version number on tricolour screen, should now just say 1.90.0000.
that's it."

Bootloader not displaying connection mode -> broken?

Dear All,
I'm very new to flashing roms on Win Phone devices.
I have a HTC HD7 with SPL-5.11.2250.0 and would like to fully unlock/root my device so I can install any xap file I want.
I tried several exe files. first RUU_Schubert_HTC_EUrope..... and then with the DFT_RSPL/HSPL executables. Nothing worked so far, but I noticed that when booting up the phone with the volume-down button to get into the bootloader, this bootloader doesn't show me the connection mode anymore (serial or usb). Have I broken the bootloader somehow?
Problem is that nothing I'd like to do works. After having had the wrong RUU_Schubert....exe files I finally think I have found the right one for my system: RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_5.10.401.04_SLSPL_Signed_by_ansar
But the problem is still that the setup program cannot connect to my phone: ERROR [260] ; Connection
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong... What really makes me wonder is that the connection mode isn't displayed in bootloader anymore (previously it was always stated serial or usb, now it's just an empty white rectangle^^)
Anyone knows about that ?
Thanks alot!
Cheers, Oli
yours is SPL 5.11 , it cannot be flashed or downgraded by software methods which is why nothing u do is working
And yes i think u have also bricked yr bootloader in the process of trying different methods , most likely u choose the wrong DFT RSPL/HSPL version to flash
Using DFT HSPL/RSPL on original 4xxx and above SPL will brick it.
u need to use goldcard , y cable method to downgrade it to a version of spl that is 3xxx and below
SO now yr situation is that u have a bricked phone .
Meaning I cannot even do the goldcard trick as I do not have an sd card slot on my phone?

Yeah you can use the goldcard method. In fact you can typically repair a damaged/bricked bootloader with the goldcard method too. Luckily since only the serial/USB portion in BL mode is missing, the bootloader isn't damaged very seriously.
Use the goldcard method and flash a stock/shipped rom for your devices specific carrier. This should repair the bootloader and should also downgrade your spl and OS version as well, depending on what rom version you flash. At this point you can update through Zune to the current OS version. Then if you wanted to, you could use your goldcard to downgrade the spl and install rspl/hspl and flash a custom rom! Here's Shadows tutorial on how to downgrade spl, this will give you a background on how the process work and links to all the shipped/stock roms:

This gives a good view and idea on how to make the cable:
