This is about as weird as it gets.
My phone won't let me hang up from a call. I try the touch screen button and the actual phone button and nothing.
Everytime I end a call, it will just stay "connected" until I hard reset the phone.
Has anyone else had this happen? And how can I fix it?

did u install any application (like new dialer, contact manager, ...) that changed your dialer recently?

Nope. I'm just using the stock dialer.

ok, in these cases its good to perform hard reset (not soft reset) if u are not afraid of setting your phone again from the beggining.
Then after hardreset u should try if its still the same, if not check it after every application that u install(u can figure out if it is some app that is causing it). If the hard reset dont help, u shoul try to flash another rom.
i agree it seems u need to perform a hard reset
but first try to remove ur sd card reboot and tell us if you still have the problem

Something similar to this happened to me, and a hard reset wouldn't work. I had to send it back to AT&T. Sorry man, hope you have better luck than I did.

have you tried a hard reset, press down 2 softkeys and stick in reset button and release before letting go of the 2 soft keys. then follow on screen instructions ?
more info needed though ie can you access the bootloader, have you previously put a hard spl on your phone and if so which version.

From your response I'd say your best option if a hard reset does not work would be to see if you can access the bootloader screen ( press camera button and soft reset ) it looks like three colours on your phone. If you can then download an original rom for your phone and follow the instructions to place it on your phone.

That's the only conceivable idea probably. After you go into bootloader mode, flash the stock ROM and then if you have hardspl, install the custom ROM that you prefer.

You should always have your PIM either backed up or on your SIM.

Dont go custom yet mate, try a stock rom and get it up and running first. Then take your time to read about soft / hard spl's and radios etc before diving in with a full custom rom. Believe me its worth it to understand everything first

DOWNLOAD timemachine.cab, go back a few days, and don't make the same mistake.

Are you sure you're getting NEW ones and not old ones?
Try SBFing? (This resets your phone back to complete defaults, even more so that doing a factory reset does)

Oh and I recommend doing it on a 32bit version of windows insetad of a 64bit. 64s seem to be harder to get working properly with RSD Lite.
And when you connect your phone, use a Back USB Port instead of a Front one, they're more reliable.

you can do it in settings. it does a full reset, so better backup your personal data first..

I have the HTC one m7,stock/unrooted. Im not sure if this problem is because of a bug or a setting that needs to be changed. When the screen is off I'm somehow able to turn the screen back on by pressing either volume button. This becomes annoying when I have it in my front pocket when I'm working and I take out my phone to check a message and see that the screen was on the whole time. Then when I double tap the home button to see my recent apps, I notice that random apps are open including the camera and sometimes it would call/text random people. If you are wandering how it is sitting while in my pocket, the power button is @ the top,so the only keys being pressed is the volume rocker. Before lollipop I never had this issue. I have already tried a factory reset (not a app issue) and clearing system cache to no avail. Another thing I've noticed I'd when I'm on the home screen with the phone unlocked I'm able to use it in landscape mode. If anyone can give me a permanent solution to this problem I'd greatly appreciate it.
This is very odd since the problems you're telling is actually a feature of some custom roms. I'd suggest you to backup your internal storage and RUU.

Yes but not the one you make on the phone. You download the RUU tool to factory reset the phone, it should fix your problem.

RUU will wipe entire OS and reflash it. Phone factory reset wont work if some of your system files are corrupt or missing. You can find them on android developement section prior to your variant

So, at first, my phone was telling me that there was too many files on it and that there was no space anymore to add more things on it. Which is okay. Then, to resolve that problem, I tried to uninstall an app which made my phone go black and then got to that ''Recovery Menu''. I tried everything ! I triedd Rebooting, so I go on Reboot but then it goes back to Recovery Menu. I tried removing the SIM card, I tried to ''Connect with MI Assistant'' but the app won't recognize my phone. I tried to go on Fastboot with the Volume and On/Off button but it stays frozen on that image of the russian rabbit. I tried holding the volume buttons while the phone was restarting, doesn't work. I tried to "Safe Mode', but it doesn't work. The volume buttons are working well. I even tried cleaning my phone to see if some dirt got stuck in it. I tried tapping on my phone. I've tried to put it in the freezer. I tried to let it lose its battery and then plug it in, still didn't work. I don't wanna lose my data... There are extremely precious things in there that I cannot afford to lose... I'm begging for help, friends ! Please help me !

If you bought the new phone and you don't know, surely not.
Google can be uninstalled without causing any problems.

Nope,
if it is still guaranteed your data will be lost, I can tell you how to recover it if it is a software problem but also your data will be lost.
If you were using Micloud your data will be restored.

You cannot perform a Backup as long as the phone is in bootloop, if the wipe works you can only recover the data saved previously.
