After I installed Korean IME on my CDMA Touch Diamond,
I cannot use Windows messeger and Calculator. (I didn't flash any roms nor upgrade anything)
It keeps saying 'unable to establish an Internet Conncection' eventhoe
I've tried them both on Evdo and Wifi connected.
Does anyone know Registry key for this kind of problem?
Is it because they are using NET. ?
(If I do Hard reset and try ondefault setting, everything works fine thoe)
I'm really desperate. I think all NET. using programs are not working after Installing Korean Fonts and IME enabler.

I already know about another device with the same problem. The city list is empty and options are disabled. My device is a production unit bought in UK.

Giving this a big kick 'cause I'm having the same problem. No options show up when setting up the weather, and Select and the Menu-options won't work either.
I'm connected to the internet via Wi-Fi by the way.

I switched carrier today and I tried again with a 3G-connection but still no luck. Same problem still stands.
Have u guys tried installing a newer version of HTC HOME?

Ronen, you being Israeli, i suppose you have hebrew installed.
Disable it, soft reset, and set the weather location. then enable the hebrew again.
Worked for me. Mine is set to Netanya now.
Not working for me either. I tried using HHC 0.8b and 1.0 with no luck on several cities in my area. Running version of HTC home in Schaps 4.3 rom.
I remember you used to have to edit the weather database with notepad to add your city then copy back to ppc. Doesn't work either. I disabled the weather tab and am using xcast.

I also had to manipulate my connection settings - but that only applies to media net in the USA - I had to disable the proxy and in my Work connection, tell it to connect to the internet

can someone help. maybe a litte offtopic but ive tried dosens of htc home plugins on my qtek 9100 (mda vario) on wm5 but dont seem to get it to work some times is leave big black square where the clock and tabs suppose to be
Never mind it works what happend was that ive dutch langauge so the flo touch config was set on program files (programma bestanden in dutch) change it works perfect

I solved problem with my German MDA Vario II:
With HHC software I changed the default language of HTC Home. After that everything started to function! It was so easy, byt I looked everywhere for days without finding this anywhere.
Hope it will solve the problem with all other HTC users.

I am enjoying my Kaiser very much, but still got some problems....

When I first used my TyTn II, after charging, I logged on to MSN with no problems. Haven't used MSN since....
I don't think the Vodafone signal is so good where I live but I can usually connect to the Internet using Explorer or Opera, but I can't seem to make MSN connect.
I was in the city centre today where the signal should be strong but MSN still would not connect.
It does not give an error message, just that I might be in an "area with bad reception".
Vodafone tell me my services are all OK for my phone...
If I use WiFi at home, I still cannot connect MSN using WiFi
I am not sure where to begin to diagnose the problem with MSN. I will start searching now........ but any advice is appreciated...
edit... I am wondering whether to unistall MSN and re-install

are you using windows live messenger or are you using OZIM or another IM program?
I know with OZIM, since it uses text it doesn't connect when you are on wifi.
I was using the MSN thatis built into the ROM!!

I know you are in UK and things are different but the IM program built into the rom for me was OZIM which uses texting. I would suggest to go the sticky of useful cabs and download Windows Live, thats has Live Messenger Built into it.

I know that some olders versions of CE-stars could lead to malfunctioning of live messenger=/ so even if you aren't azn if you install language support for other languages it might still screw things up

My Kaiser has Windows live and MSN, but not working..
I am Irish, but I have Japanese display and input installed on my Kaiser...
I guess I could remove them and see if my MSN works again..!!
Then if it does not work, install the newest cab for Windows Live and MSN..

edit - I did a hard reset and installed everything from scratch, checking one by one, if MSN worked.

Forgive me if this sounds stupid, believe I've done a lot of search before asking =/
anyway here it goes:
After flashing the ROM posted in the sticky "Herald MODDing for newbs" I can't find my MSN messenger anywhere. Now I can only use the web version! Where can I get it back? Is a .cab or something out there?
Oh, and, I can't figure out how to use touchflo as well. I tried wiping the screen from bottom to top a LOT times. Nothing happened. Everything else worked, tho, like picture viewer or finger-scrolling.

Just install it on your device and your done. The settings you need to work through are very easy.
Installation completed with no problem. But..
It doesn't matter whether I'm on wi-fi or GPRS, when I try to sign in it says "Windows Live was unable to establish an Internet Connection." and blah blah blah. Asking me to check my connection settings. Well, IE worked fine. I can surf. So what's going on?

I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue with the Windows Live Mesanger but unfortunately im unable too. I am able to connect via WiFi but im not able to connect GPRS, are you able to connect w/o WiFi? If so, do you have a .cab file or a website that you can direct me too. Any help on this issue would be great. Thanx

After uninstall ce-star, I had same problem:
I setup both wi-fi and bluetooth dialup through my cellphone. Even when wi-fi is connected, windows live insist on dialing through bluetooth. And the worst of it, it will keep on dialing until soft reset and nothing else can stop it.

My PIE doesnt work anymore. When I start it, it loads the homepage, but doesnt load anything. It downloads 0kB and then stops. When I enter another url it does the same. Tried several urls, but still the same.

I have the same problem OPERA is working but IE no .
First check your connection if u have proxy comes by lame Activesync, after that try new connection with NEW NAME
to same GPRS/3G or whatever u have and try IE again...
My IE was working good, but then I made a lot of changes of connection and then IE not work , IE don`t use connection. Problem is , that in the OPTION of IE ist nothing useable for configuration (stupid WM) , but may be I am stupid . I think only regedit help . (sorry for my english )
It's not working (I tried open IE with Wifi), Opera and QuickGPS can work fine.

Specially when you have Opera 9.5 on your phone.

Advanced config - Internet explorer - Proxy auto detection - ENABLED - then restart
IE is working again

i'm sorry if i'm asking somthing that has already been threaded, I searched and couldn't find it but search could have been (too) quick.
I would very much like to run the app called midomi but none of the versions that I find here at XDA-dev works on my Touch PRO (yesterday installed the TAEL rom and again no result)
the reg. tweak that should be made was already ok so that's not the problem. Found a version with working menu button so that's also not the problem. In "Select Network" i choose "Wap"
befor flashing the rom it kept saing "recording error" now it says "Network error. Please try again."
does Anyone have experience with Midomi on TouchPRO / TAEL Rom? know what I do wrong, what I should edit / change...

Do you have data on your device? I know for myself, I don't have a data plan, so I had to change the connection settings to wifi.
