Greetings:
I wonder which ROM (Football, Lenny, Makuu) and which version do you use for GPS software such as iGuidance v4.0, Tom Tom v7 and IGo8 on an Axim x51V. Which one is most stable for Bluetooth GPS device, WIFI for occasionally internet access and support at least 16GB SDHC class 6?

BT does not work with my Tom Tom 5.21

Hi Helmi. I installed your ROM and I can say that it works fine.
Today I installed Tom Tom 5.21 and I see that TT does not recognize my Bluetooth GPS. I am able to see it as I installed the GPS bluetooth thourgh the BT menu, but in TT does not work.
What can i do for?. Thanks
You need to name your GPS device something like BT-GPS it must finish in GPS when you setup the device then you need to assign it a comport ie 6 and then pair it in tomtom to com 6
Hi. Thanks for your help. I tried to make the adjustment as you suggested, but it does not work.
I have paired the GPS bluetooth with BT software, but when I use Tom Tom with com 6 (port assigned to the GPS) i don't see any paring.
What i can do then?.
Thanks

bluetooth gps device for my xda2i

i wanna buy a new bluetooth gps device for my xda IIi, but I can't decide what to buy..I'd pleased if u have any suggestions pls?
which one is most compatible? (I live in Istanbul,Turkey)
Is 16 channel ok or should I need a 32 channel device?
I heard that there's another popular gps software other than tomtom but I can't remember its name, are these devices compatible with most popular softwares or just tomtom?
Thx in advance..
I yhink that the best bluetooth PS receiver is Globalsat BT 339. It works flawlessly and is extremely sesitive to satellite signal. Another good aplication for GPS is Destinator 6.

Can I use internal gps receiver with Tomtom mobile 6

Sorry about the noobie question, but I would like to know if it is possible to use the GPS receiver with the Tytn II with TOMTOM 6 software or is the only option to use an external gps reciever?
You do not need an external GPS recevier. The map applications are compatible with the built-in GPS receiver, just configure the appropriate COM port for GPS...

HTC Wing's s730 GPS with Garmin XT

Some dude telling me that the s730 has GPS chipset for GPS software like Garmin XT, will this work ?
I installed Garmin XT and it works, but only with an external bluetooth antenna...
Only pre-production models had some kind of built-in GPS. Normal S730 phones only have a chip without an antenna, rendering it useless. You will need to use a bluetooth GPS in order to navigate using Garmin/Tomtom/McGuider.
Whether GPS does work within HTC S730?

Hi everyone.
And to zampotta: Which release version of Garmin XT have you installed on your smartphone, and how did you connect external BT antenna with S730?
Thanks for your answer, in advance.

nook color + GPS over BT using windows 6.1,6.5 phone

Hello to all of you.
I would like to share some information for people interested in pairing winMOBILEphone to nook as GPS provider.
I am using this setup:
Nook color: ROM - Phiremod 6.1 -stock kernel
- Bluetooth GPS Provider app from the market
WinPhone: HTC TYTN2 - Kaiser: ROM almost any, tried several 6.1 & 6.5.
(also tried on Xperia-X1, HTC HD2, Touch Diamond2)
- aplication for sending GPS over BT: Franson GPSgate
Run GPSgate as server, set it up to sent over BT. no problem to pair with NOOK, run some aplication like GPS test to initialize the GPS device on the phone. Then you should see on the nook in Bluetooth GPS Provider app that is recieveing signal.
Hope this might help somebody.
Thanks, I may try this out later.
