Charger, Cradle, FM Transmiter in One? - Touch CDMA Accessories

Has anyone seen something like this
http://www.amazon.com/Charging-Holder-Transmitter-Video-10-40GB/dp/B000FDXH84/ref=pd_sim_e_4
that would work with the Vogue??
I picked one of these up for $10 bucks and love it for my iPod, very neat, and FM is solid. Trying to find something similar for my phone now. If not I may just pick up another one and try a little DIY conversion.

here is something similar. http://cgi.ebay.ca/LCD-WIRELESS-FM-...ryZ73836QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks for the link, looks like it does everything I need.

this one did the trick for me...like it very much!

Charging Car Dock

Looking for a car dock/mount that also charges the phone. Something with an aux connection to allow for calls/music through the speakers would be nice too. There are so many options out there between the fly-by-night cell supply shops and the ebayers, I'm not sure where to look. Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!
I don't think one exists. Not like the Nexus One's, unfortunately.
Try the Proclip, they make one specifically for the Inc, power and all..

This is what I was planning on buying for myself. First the mount 853209 for my car, and then 512147 for the device. Not cheap, but looks like the best solution. I don't think the 512147 device mount will fit around the case-mate case, though.

[Q] Does anyone know if the Captivate Dock works on the Focus?

My wife has a Captivate and as I hold it side by side with my Focus it looks like head phone and micro usb ports are in the exact same position. So this makes me wonder if this dock will work on the Focus??
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ECR-D981BEGSTA
This looks like it would. I found it for around 20 bucks online, maybe it is worth the try.
I'm not sure I would want mine in landscape mode, just because of all those incompatible screen layouts.
yes
By works if you mean does it charge your phone then the answer is yes. I dont think it does anything else. I haven't tried anything else though. Will check when I get home and report back.
Yeah I am wondering if it lines up and charges the phone.
Also, does this dock have the ability to connect to your PC via USB or is it hardwired with an AC adapter?
according to samsung, it is not *guaranteed* to work, and, to answer your question, it looks like there is a microusb slot on the back of it so you probably can connect it to the pc
I saw in the picture on Samsung's website that it looks like it has a micro usb slot, but in the Amazon review people were complaining that you could not connect it to a PC. Now that could be because they did not realize that they could use a micro usb cable instead of an AC adapter but i was not sure.
I guess for $30 it is not that big of a deal if it does not work for me they way I hope.
Thanks
Has anyone tried it yet?
It looks like the Captivate/Vibrant **** has the microUSB port in the right place, but not the Epic.
USB is USB, so as long as the physical location is correct, I can think of no reaso it wouldn't work.
Has anyone actually tried the Vibrant or Captivate dock yet to see if it fits

LOL I noticed that too
It doesn't "quite" work.
I bought one from eBay after noticing that they looked similar too. Once I tried it it was a mm or 2 off from fitting. I broke out the ol dremel after that and now it does work, but it won't without some moding.

looking for a car dock

good morning a good car dock for my nexus s.
Someone can suggest me one??
thanks
I have the 'Official' Samsung one. It's usually $30 or so. It is nice, but really the only reason to buy it is if you find it on sale. At various times, it's been on Amazon or eBay for <$15.
I always try to get official one
Definitely get the OEM Samsung dock. I recently bought one on ebay, here is the link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Samsung...074846?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c2a8ea19e
If you dont want to use the Dock Mode, but you want to get solid place for your phone in your car with easy attaching and detaching capabilities I would suggest you the nanopad. It works great for me, however if you have some glass material on your cars dash(for example Seat Ibiza over the radio) its even better

M8 car mount/dock

Ok I know there is a lot of dock and mount out there that are universal, but I was looking for one that works perfectly for the M8.
The only dock that saw that looks really good, is the HTC dock, but I really don't want to pay the HTC price, so my question is, does anyone know of a dock or even just a mount that works as well as the HTC dock without having to pay the HTC price?

Why not get something more universal to use with any phone or any case? You can check out my sig link, just scroll down to car mount reviews, I have a ton of those. Personally, I would highly recommend Arkon Mobile Grip 2 since it's the most minimalistic and can also be converted to attach to a picture tripod. Plus, it has one of the best sticky grip base.

Because I don't think the third party mounts automatically switch the device into Car Mode when connected.
Brodit. You buy a piece for your car and a piece for your phone, so when you switch cars, you buy a new piece for your new car, and when you switch phones you buy a new piece for your new phone.
They're not cheap, but they're built to take a beating and they work for years and years.
Plus, swedish design, yet no EFFING allen key.

Except that Brodit/ProClip hasn't made a dock for the M8 yet :/ I emailed them about it the release date of the phone and they replied that they should have them ready in about a month. I have always been happy with their products though so I guess I'll have to wait...

Don't know why they told you that, I already bought one from a webshop that had a picture of it. Granted it's not in stock, and probably won't be for a while, but they're clearly in production.

This was the email from March 26:
Thank you for contacting us and for your interest in ProClip products.
We are currently designing a holder for the HTC One (m8).
This design process generally takes between 4 and 6 weeks once the design team obtains the device, but can take longer depending on the device.
Once we have a custom holder available for your device we will send you an email with a link to the products.
It sounds like a very boilerplate response, so that must have been all the info he had at the time. My understanding is that ProClip is just Brodit's exclusive US and Canadian vendor.

I've never heard of this so I'll looking into this. Might be what I want assuming there is no screwing involved in mounting in the car and that it's not that expensive :fingers-crossed:

The clip that fits in the car usually has glue strips, but often combine that with some sort of slip-in-between-the-seams stuff as well. Then you do screw the holder onto the clip, but that's probably not what you meant.
As for expensive... Yes, it gets expensive, but it's very good quality, which is worth it to me at least.
Oh, and here are the products. None of them are in stores yet, though.

I have been using the same iBolt kit since my Galaxy S3. Since then I have used it on the Note 2, Galaxy S4, HTC One and my brand new M8. All worked great as I got the dock-launching plugs for both the Samsungs and the HTC. However I just discovered that if you use the long USB with audio cable designed for the sammy, it will charge the HTC (slowly) but won't launch the dock mode. Which is annoying. I had to pull my deck out to uninstall it, and replace it with a standard USB cable. Now it works like a champ! Though I do wish that HTC would do USB analog audio like Samsung. It made car-integration so much better (quality of sound wise) than over bluetooth.

They informed me too on 16th April per E-Mail. You can purchase it, but the delivery time is around 3-4 weeks. So you are both right.

You would think so, wouldn't you. But my active Brodit mount for a Nexus 4 had problems reliably making a power connection. The metal USB bit slipped down and away from the phone within its moulding.
Brodit could not supply spare parts!!.
I resorted to cutting the usb connector apart and using epoxy resin to put it back together again.
Got the HTC mount this time for my M8!
Repair parts? Couldn't they just ship you a new holder? Seems like a clear warranty issue. That is, if brodit has a warranty, I've never needed to find out, and in Norway our consumer laws are so strong warranty is almost never an issue.

How well does the suction? because one of the thing that i love about the htc mount is the way the suction is design. Does the suction only work on the glass or can it work on the dash as well?
I bought the iBolt xProDock Kit for HTC
I already had the iBolt for the One X+ (was specific for that one, the new one fits almost all htc phones) and it is perfect (now my wife uses it).
The suction works perfect and you can place it on the window screen or the dashboard. It also starts automaticaly the dock mode.y
I bought this a year ago for my GS4 and loved it: iMagnet. I wasn't sure the metal plate would work with the curved back of the M8, but I just bent it a little and it fits perfectly without scratching the device. I use Car Home Ultra and configured it to launch whenever my car's bluetooth connects to it. Works like a freaking charm
Anyone have the official dock yet? I know they're expensive but I'd still like to hear a review of them. Thanks

Are they even available? I'm looking at the page for it here and while it says it's available at best buy stores, it says unavailable wherever I put in my zip code. Can I only buy it online at the moment?
Your right it's showing as unavailable in my area also.

[Q] Good Bluetooth Laser Keyboard

Okay, so my school just auctioned off a Bluetooth Laser Keboard and the cash went to charity. I didn't get the keyboard, because my IT supervisor told me they're not all that good and I should just get a regular keyboard.
I was wondering if there were any good quality laser keyboards? Something $150 or less. A used one is fine. Also, what about things not working? I haven't really seen anything about them and wanted to know if people knew more about them or had good experiences.
I've seen things in different threads, but they're all dated 2010-2012. I'd prefer something more up-to-date. LoL!!
Thanks for any help. I like the thought of having one, that's why I want to waste my money on something like that.
I owned two, 3-4 years ago, the Celluon version one by its main competitor (since gone out of business, or bought by Celluon, or something). Neither worked well. I recently bought the Celluon evoMouse (it was on massive closeout discount somewhere) and found it to be just as unsatisfying. It just seems like one of those technologies that is an absolutely amazing idea but which requires a real finesse to make it actually preferable over a conventional keyboard/mouse, and they just haven't gotten it quite right yet. It's just inaccurate enough, just flaky enough, just whatever enough to make me give up on them and go back to a regular keyboard.
