I just got a new rma, i use outlook to sync contacts. i had saved all contacts to outlook & to sim.
when i sync to outlook it says all contacts sync'd but they dont show on my tilt. all i see are my sim contacts as seen before the sync?
is there anyway to get my contacts to xfer over from outlook or do i need to recreate outlook contacts on the tilt again?

Do you have active sync set to overwrite duplicates/files from computer overwrite phone files?

no sir...i was told that'd delete everything off my phone??
Ummmmm I think you need to delete the partnership on the computer side?? Does this sound correct.
If you have all the contacts in Outlook I would also delete the Sim conacts, this may cause an issue.

I flashed my kaiser with the 6.1 rom and after that I noticed that all of my contacts are gone.
Is there anyway to recover them???

Outlook contacts would still be in your outlook on your computer, so just set up the sync and they will (should) come back along with all of your other sync data.
on sync, you have to go into options and uncheck the "Contacts" box. Then click ok. Let it sync. Then go back into options and click the contacts box so that you have a check in the contacts box again. When you press okay this time it will sync your contacts
Back up your contacts in outlook first!!!
Ok so I've had my Kaiser for a few days now. Apparently you have to have outlook to sync contacts from your pc. Well I have a CSV file full of my contact from my old phone. BUT i don't have outlook. I don't want to buy outlook. I have outlook express, windows contacts. (I don't see why i have to buy outlook but whatever). So I found an alternative to outlook, Google Sync. Seems to work ok. I just had to fully update my contacts on google. ANYHOW does any use this to sync contacts? If so is there a way to push contact updates from phone to Google contacts. I only seem to be able to push contacts from Google to my phone. Thanks.

Is it done online? It uses exchange server. It takes your google contacts and syncs them to your phone. But what happens if you add a contact to your phone? I don't think it updates your Google contacts, or at least I can't figure out how. Seems kinda pointless if you cant sync contacts both ways. But what else is someone supposed to do if they don't have outlook?
I use Google sync and the contacts transfer from my phone back to Google and vice versa. It's only the contacts saved on my phone though, not the SIM.
Is there anyway to remove all the windows live messenger contacts in the contacts? Its REALLY annoying because I have 500 people on my MSN list.
Basically I just want all the contacts from Sim Manager only to be viewed in the contacts screen. How can I do it?

first backup outlook's pst file to be sure
and don't use the version of msn msg which auto add it's contacts

If I have to sync with my PC that doesn't work for some reason. I get an Error in the Active Sync software everytime I try.
I got it to sync with activesync and it said it synced my contacts succesfully.
But where are they? And it only seemed to sync 120 contacts. If all my MSN contacts are in my contact list on my phone there should be 500+

How do you save your contacts when flashing your device? I cant find a folder or anything with my contacts in it that i can just put on my phone after i flash it.
sync with the computer put all contacts into outlook
and or
sync with ms my phone free app from ms sync all contacts to cloud along with your sms's and mails and appointments...

I have always saved my contacts / calendar via PIMBACKUP. Just done a hard reset on my touch pro. Restored all contacts etc, everytime I hook it into active synch (which already has my contacts and calendar), it keeps copying from my phone to outlook creating duplicates.
All i want is to copy all from mobile to pc and clear outlook contacts and calendar. Was able to before click on contacts and settings and it woudl give me a option, its currently hidden.
