Headset Or Usb headphones? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I need a decent way to listen to music through my kasier. first of all is there a place to buy usb headphones; at a brick and mortor store. I dont really want to buy online. Or simply whats the easiest and cheapest product to buy.

no htc use usb headphones
usb headphones are kinda like external soundcards like usb speakers
kaiser dont support usb host so cant use usb devices
htc however have their own usb connection called extUSb
which apart from being usb also carry 2 analog audio lines
headsets which use extUSB can be used to listen to audio
but they must be compatible with htc

You'll be able to find HTC replacement headphones with the proprietary plug but they're usually crap. So, get one of those adapters: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2715504#post2715504 and use any good standard headphone you have.

alternatively you can use bluetooth stereo headphones...

3.5 mm?

Hello everyone, so im using the Kaisers awful earphones, which for music, plainly suck. I cant find any USB to 3.5mm adapters around that work for the kaiser so I was wondering, I have a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone, and it has a 3.5mm adapter, but its not mini usb.
Would I be able to remove the usb plug from the Kaisers earphones and connect it to my walkmans adapter? Obviously I would need to open up the adapters connector, can I do this?
Thanks
Why dont you just go online and buy an adapter. You can then use any set of headphones you want. I bought two off ebay, one for just headphones and one thats a Y adapter so I can play music as well as charge at same time. I think they were only $8 each or somthing.

$3 shipped worldwide. Small and light. Maybe light enough for the cable to break easily if abused, but for now it's been just fine with me.

help with at&t titl

i have kaiser at&t us vertion
i need to use Headphone on it
can any one help me
plug in a headset or buy a bluetooth one.
You need an adapter. Take a look here:

Good luck.
Headphones
It really depends upon what type of headphones that you have.
There are headphones available that will plug directly into the Kaiser's serial port.
But if you have the headphones that have a round plug, then you would need to purchase an adapter in order to use it.

support for mini-usb headphones ?

has anybody thought about it ?
htc sells them (http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/it/p_htc_item.aspx?i=187495) while mini-usb headphones i have (i found them on an alcatel phone) do not work
I just bought a little adapter off eBay which plugs into HTC MiniUSB and has a 3.5mm jack on it. It lets me use my own normal headphones.
why didn't you just use the 3.5 built in jack of tattoo ???
g1 dont
hi.
my G1 headphones have the htc mini usb ( the one thats a bit odd and has extra wires for audio and tv out ) but the headphones dont work on the tattoo.
so why has the tattoo got this type of jack for its usb ?? it certainly has the extra contacts on it, you can see them !
may be we will someday have an app that enabled you to select the usb output as the default audio out.. may be not.. lol..

Ipod to micro usb

Hello,
I'm new and have read a lot about de HD2 witch i have.
Just normal rom with some extra programs.
I'm looking (maybe manny other people) for a female ipod adapter to (micro/mini) usb. There are a lot of (music)docking stations for the ipod but nothing with a micro usb connection. so with a adapter from a female ipod too a micro.mini usb we have tons of interesting accesories.
I hope sombody can help me and others.
sorry for my bad english.

Useless. All you could do is charge the phone and connect to a PC with USB cable. No sound, no video, no extra functions as those use extra connections and proprietary protocols that only the iphone has.
pretty much agree with kilrah, even if in theory some accessories geared towards just the audio could benefit from a ipod->microusb+jack solution, even if that would be ugly
Reality is, ipod/iphone specific accessories are 90% for "happy people" (read carefully through the words), and a hd2 user true to himself doesn't want those
i agree with you ephestione...
if the HD2 had all the endlessly possible amount of accesories like the iphone, i wouldn't want a HD2.
i like the exclusivity(?) of my HD2, i like that some people find the sheer size of the HD2 offensive, i like the looks on their faces when i show them how much better it is than an iphone.
with accesories comes more customers looking for the latest fad, i dont want that. if i want an accesory, i'll make it myself
i cannot tear myself away from this forum no matter how hard i try
for audio i just use a simple 3.5mm jack to 2 phono, plugged into my hi-fi...
bluetooth and windows sideshow when im showing off
So you guys wouldn't want a Bose sound dock?
We could just use a phono lead as quasi_mojo said and hook it up to a bose hi-fi
both my hd2 and my bluetooth headset use the same micro usb, so i only need one wall charger and one car charger...
i use bluetooth to play audio through my car headunit, a jack to phono cable for playing on my home hifi, bluetooth again with sideshow or g-remote to control my media pc's...
i dont really see the need for another cable based on what the hd2 is capable of...wireless options are always going to be better
what excatly did you have in mind when you started this thread?
and no i wouldnt want a bose sound dock, mainly because of the ridiculous price and also due to the national grid already struggling to provide my house with enough juice to power the gear i have already lol

Click to collapse
only the higher end more expesive soundocks have an external imput and also it wont charge
i got a cradle that has audio connector and it's connected to Z5500 logitech, i wonder which sounds better. LOL

USB headphone port

Does the Nexus 6 support USB headphone adaptation? Older phone aux port is problematic. Can I use a USB adapter for audio purposes, while using standard headphones.
What do you mean when you say the headphone connection is problematic? Has it failed, or are you just not a fan of it?
Regarding using USB headphones, it probably will not work only because there is a dedicated (and superior) input for the purpose, meaning no need to add the capability to the USB connection. You probably would have better luck simply using a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
When plugged in standard headphones output is staticky and choppy. I am just curious if I can use the USB port to run audio from instead of the standard aux port.
And I answered your question. Use a Bluetooth headset as USB likely won't work.
BTW, your headphone jack needs to be cleaned. A drop of alcohol and plugging a pair of headphones in and out a few times should fix it.
