Frequency boost on tilt - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I traded my Moto q9h for a Tilt...is there a way to boost the frequency search on the tilt like on the q9h secondly i have the new jawbone headset the sound quality really sucks on it is there a way to fix it

Yuo really should search the forum first before posting things that have already been answered numerous times. To improve your signal, I assume that what you mean, flash a new radio. I highly recommend the one I'm using, listed in my sig. To improve quality with your bluetooth set, use advanced config or kaiser tweak to change the settings. Both of these things have a ton of info available in the Wiki's

I already look through the forums tried the tweaks and have the newest rom from att

I'm ready to upgrade my ROM: Where are they?

So, I'm ready to upgrade my rom, but where are they? I'm just having a really hard time finding any central list of reputable/stable ROMs...
One of my main motivations for even upgrading is the much-rumored camera enhancement... Anyway, I'd appreciate some info/links to some good ROMs
thanks

. . . and, once you've read everything you need to know about upgrading/changing your ROM from the Wiki, you can find all the available Wizard ROMS on the ftp site.
But, DON'T FLASH UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!! That means READ, READ, READ . . . AND READ SOME MORE!!
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Roms/
And don't bungee-jump your Wizard off your desk (causing the USB cable to unplug) during an upgrade!
..Just my two cents..

Bah! Builds character! Live a little!!
To be honest, I've read through almost all of the Wiki, and it's worthless. The links go to empty pages that need updating or have placeholder text.
Also, the FTP site works about 1/3 of the time
I've RTFM, but I need to know which ROM offers what benefit, etc. Also, I've read through the forum, but I've also noticed that 20 pages into a thread people start *****ing about the ROM either bricking their phone or screwing up major features (e.g. the latest Molski ROM mysteriously turning off the cell radio so you miss calls)
So, having said all of that, I'd really appreciate some information on stable ROMs which offer upgrades that I'm looking for (improved speed and improved camera quality).
Thanks

How can you say the FTP site works 1/3 of the time, you have been here less than a month? This FTP is one of the most stable ones i have seen, i have yet to have an issue connecting to it.. anyway...
The people *****ing about bricked phones are usually the uninformed users who just jump in without reading anything, in MOST cases they have G4 and try to use a G3 rom, or they havent cid unlocked their phone, etc.. or they dont read the entire thread to see the bugs in the rom, etc..
The wikki is being worked on, some of its crap, but there is still alot of useful info on there.
And its hard to state which rom is better than the other, most of the chefs have tailored them for different needs, MOST of them already include much needed tweaks like the camera tweak and many others.
You may not even need to change roms.. some of the stuff you can do on your current OEM rom to speed it up... Get an OMAP overclocker, such as battery status or OMAP scaler, etc.. free up as much space on the device by installing programs to the memory card, and install any today plugin's to the device( i mention this so there isnt a delay of the phone having to read the card for the today plugin when you pull the device out of sleep). Try some of the tweaks listed in the WM5 wikki http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5_Tweaks_Performance
You dont necessarily have to flash a different rom to be happy with the device, and in most cases there really isnt a reason to flash to a different rom. its important to adhere to this simple phrase "If its not broke then dont fix it"
Most importantly, make sure you fully understand what you are doing before you do it.
Tweaks for Speed and Camera
OK. To get better camera quality, see THIS thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=245651&highlight=Camera+Tweaks
There are cab files to improve the camera quality in that thread WITHOUT flashing a new ROM.
For Increased speed, you could download the Omap Overclocking cab from THIS thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271012&highlight=Omap+Overclocking
-- OR, to apply other tweaks, try the Registry Wizard from THIS thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=255225&highlight=Registry+Wizard
What the OP wants can be done WITHOUT flashing to a new ROM. So, no more posts from someone who "bricked" their phone without READING first. And, it's absolutely AMAZING what turns up when using the Search Engine.
I'll be the first to admit that there's still a LOT I don't know -- but I DO know how to read and search for the answers.
Those were very helpful replies, newbie. Thanks!

WTF all those tweaks are so old and the post are from 2005. the stock camera version on the 2.26 Rom is newer than whatever is on that link

Old or not they still do the job, and most of those apps are continuely updated. So do some more reading before making a post like that. If you arent going to appreciate our help then there are other boards out there.

Thank You!!
I applied that camera tweak cab to my 8125 back in June or July after reading that thread and it worked like a charm on the Cingular/HTC updated 2.25 ROM. And -- as Shogunmark indicated -- tweaks, hacks and apps ARE continuously updated. Here's a link to some (I'm assuming) updated camera tweak cabs, beginning on page 2 of the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=260479&page=2
As for the others, I've also used them individually until some of the modified ROMs included them -- so then, I didn't have to manually add them any more.
I just wonder why -- if they're so old -- the ROM cookers are incorporating some of the tweaks into their ROMs. Of course, "paypalbid" would have seen that had he/she taken the time to read all the threads on available modified ROMs to see what's in some of them.
Hmmm. . . . .

Kaiser/emonster in Japan

Hey all. Great site, I'm just learning my way around my kaiser with all of the great info here.
I had a question I hope someone could answer. I am currently using an unlocked Kaiser on Softbank, but EMOBILE came out with the Kaiser also. The emobile kaiser is on 1.7ghz while the unlocked one i have is on 2.0ghz(please correct me if i'm wrong).
I understand popping in a emobile sim won't work b/c of the difference in hertz. So my question is, is it possible to change the hertz to 1.7Ghz w/some sort of software (ROM or radio etc) or is the hertz hardware/chipset dependant?
Thanks in advance for helping out a newbie

htc Japan Rom
Hmmm. I have not been able to flash this rom successfully. I would like to install the original rom now. Does anyone have the original Japan eMonster eMobile HTC Kaiser Rom? It is not on HTC website.
can somebody help me??
i have problem with emobile s11ht.
this device only work on 1700MHz freq.. can it change to 2100MHz??
coz i can't use the 3G HSDPA by now...
You guys need to flash a radio from Emobile. Either flash an OEM rom from Emobile, or a dumped radio from one.
Since it's so new and rare, there isn't any users with that here, yet since you're the only place in the world using 1700MHz UMTS (besides T-Mobile USA's inactive 3G).
is it mean that there still a chance to flash the radio freq to 2100MHz??

If you don't want to be on Emobile's network ever again, you should then try flashing one of the popular roms on the Kaiser ROM forum.
They all will give you 850/1900/2100MHz radio support, but I don't think you can ever go back to Emobile again unless you can flash an Emobile rom/radio again.
How can we dump our Radios and rebuild it again?

Thanks for the hint. I just bought one of these guys 2 days ago. Haven't done so much. Only Hard-SPL it from the Kaiser Team.
It worked with out a glitch. But, before doing the obvious, turning the JPN version to ENU, I need to make sure that just in case I can resotre that piece of machine back to it's condition.
Question is: How can we (there are some people here in the same situation) dump the rom and have it ready for a re-flash?
Thanks for any advice.
We need a Emobile Radio ROM
Well.
I'm kind of getting annoyed. According to what I have read here, there is a bad chance of bricking the phone if we just flash the phone with the aviable ROM's that we see around here.
I manage to know that, since I come from a different background and I usually take the precaution of reading the technical specifications. So, oh yes, Emobile works with W-CDMA in the 1700 Ghz range.
I definitely need to flash this phone to English (or Spanish) but after backing up the Radio ROM.
Now, how about this:
What if, when cooking a new ROM, we don't include the radio in KaiserKitchen?
I mean, when it comes to compile the packages and all that, what if we omit the Radio File?
In other words: If we omit the radio rom config file from the flash image, will a flashed phone will work?
Any clue?
Today I bought my eMonster after reading these forums for a few weeks.
So far here is where I am at:
KAIS140 MFG
SPL-1.0.Olipof
CPLD-8
Radio 1.71.09.01 (Original was 1 63 08 26)
Currently running RUU_Kaiser_WM6.1_ASIA_WWE_3.10.707.1.YK_Test
Obviously these questions will have some Japanese localization but any help would be great.
Currently I can make calls and be heard and hear the other party.
I have wifi and 3G access access.
However the problems I have are as follows.
The camera no longer works. It simply gives me a black screen.
Audio works when sliding open the phone but if I try to run media player the audio then stops working completely.
It seems there were several applications that came with the original rom that are now lost including the GPS program.
Also it seems that although the OS is in English now input itself seems limited to chinese.
Any tips from users who have an Emonster or can point me in the right direction would be great.
Thank you so much for this great wealth of information.

Is Overclocking Diamond Possible? (KW:overclock over clock cpu bus speed)

Hi guys,
I was thinking of selling my Diamond due to the ****ty TouchFlo3D speeds.
The thing is, I really like the screen and user interface so selling it on such a basis might be a little impulsive.
So, I was wondering if anyone managed or knows how to overclock the Diamond so as to make it speedier? I am not too familiar with overclocking, in this sense I meant like increasing the CPU speeds or something?
I tried all reg "tweaks" and they make it only that fast and I still experience the more than occasional lags.
Also, tried searching using K/W Overclock + Diamond and yielded no results, hence the thread creation.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried any of the cooked Roms? They apparently really speed the device up no end. I find TouchFLO 3D fine, but just the actual reception of the phone could be better so im gonna have a go at Flashing a new Radio to the device sometime this week.
There used to be a way of overclocking the processor on the Touch. This was great for when you were playing games on it as they ran at the correct speed. I find the games, (the ones that work) run fine on the Touch Diamond. Mmm.
Good luck finding what you want!
I am using the Elite 2.0 ROM, but its frustrating because of the lags.
May I know what roms you are using?
Performance (Overclocking .exe)
http://www.4shared.com/file/28476410...rformance.html
you''ll find more about overclocking in the "old" thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413768
I'm using swiftBL and there is no lags, its super slick! It even mentions the radio to use in the thread in the ROM section (but I not put that on yet!)
The only time I get a bit of lag is if I try and jump from one screen, to another, to another really, really quick...
Other than that, I think its the best ROM and most stable... had no problems, bene using it about 2 weeks now!
Good luck!

Why should i change radio?

Hi!
What will change if i flash the radio? There is a lot versions out there, but i dont know why i should change, what are the benefits?
Which version should i choose?
Radio 1.10.25.18
Radio 1.11.25.71
Radio 1.11.25.76
Thanks in advance!
read the radio's thread
search for it, should be on the first or srcond page of this subforum
Yeah, i found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=439566 but i still don't know why i should change radio? What are the benefits?
Well done for finding the thread, now try reading it
I just did this for just the first 4 pages, and so far have figured out that people are discussing and comparing the effect different radios have on GPS sensitivity & fix time, signal strength/quality, battery life, and other issues.
If you have fine reception, battery life & GPS performance, there's probably little point trying new radios.
Best bet is to keep reading that thread & others about radios (plus wikis) - you'll learn a lot more so you can make a more informed decision.

New Radio?

Hi Guys
Flashed a few roms on my sexy nexy but my brother had recently flashed a radio and told me of the signal improvement. I'm using Kang O Rama rom and wondered whether anyone could suggest a good radio to flash?
Cheers for any help

First one to say it: Wrong Section
Should be in Q&A.
But, to answer your question, I have seen that it really depends on your own experiences with each radio. I found that none of the 5.XX radios worked well for me. So, I'm running the older radio. But mos people say that the newer ones are better. So, you should just try them out. Just be careful when flashing
Cheers for that. I noticed that I had posted in the wrong forum straight away but didn't know how to move it with tapatalk.
Thanks for the info. Anyone got any recommendations?

same here:
5.12 horrible battery and terrible internet speeds
5.08 terrible battery
4.xx no problems
and the same bad reception on all of them
=> UNLESS you actually have a PROBLEM with the radio, leave it alone!
5.12 radio here, wonderful battery and blazing speeds. No problems at all.
