I've recently just downloaded and installed the manila 2d theme by greatball and after installing, I'm having trouble finding it. I've looked all over and I've used the search function on the phone but I can only find the the setup file.
I've downloaded the cab file and I'm wondering if I need another file first or anything to make it work

Just download and install the CAB file..for advanced users i have posted only the files..but now i have attached a CAB file also

Not working for me.
Installing .cab always results in "...the installation was unsuccessful".
Trying to reconstruct .cab .xml actions results in no action on running stk.lnk from Programs.
Maybe you can share some more info on how to organize file on Hima (what services should run, maybe files to startup, etc.)

No matter what theme I try to use, it's not recognized in WM6 when I tried to import it (no valid file found), or try to click on the file, it just takes me to the today settings with the list of themes, but the new one isn't there.
Anyone have any idea how to force WM6 to start recognizing themes?
you have to copy the .tsk file into the windows folder on your device. this information is ALL over the themes thread so do a search using google.....
I used search and the words ( install theme ) and the 4rd one down, maybe 5th now. You may have had this problem solved earlier if you had used it.

I just found that - does anyone know anything about files with an extension ".theme" for WDA? Thanks for the input!

I'm sorry if this is a covered issue but I have honestly tried to search here and google but I cant seem to over come the problem I have installing opera.
I have downloaded opera (http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/products/)
Both .CAB and .MSi versions but when I come to install, I hit a wall.
.CAB
When I open the folder on my desktop, inside i get an XML file and a whole load of numbered files like .000 FILE, .001 FILE etc and I dont know what to do to install it. I've tried putting all these onto memory card and runing from there but there isn't any .exe to run.
.MSI
Windows vista runs the .MSI and it seems like its installing to the PC and not the TYTN. I dont get it.
Please can you help.
With the .cab part of it...all of those files you are seeing are actually the files inside the cab so you need to back up to the folder containing the .cab and you will see a little blue cabinet just drag that into your tilt directory and run it from there.

I can't see a Little blue cabinet file anywhere. When I download from opera website. The downloaded file is a Yellow Folder called 'opera_wm5_sp_865' with all these files inside and no blue cabinet.
Move the .cab file to your phone, use the File Explorer and click it.
Also, the MSI will install it to your phone. Did you ever try going through the entire install process?
once you do get that version of opera uninstalled try the one in my 4shared folder (link in my sig). Its modified build by gsleon3 and it is uninstallable
Oh well it might not be little and blue for you...
When I download stuff I try to download it to a folder where I store all my Kaiser stuff on my desktop so the blue .cab file(blue for me at least) is right there so it is easy to find.

Been problem solving this issue all day today and now I've finally realised where i've gone wrong! I've managed to finally install it and it was such a small error on my part.
basically, when i downloaded the .cab file from opera website. The icon of the file was a winzip icon becuase winzip was assigned to open .cab's and i was extracting it without realising it was a .cab file. I just assumed that i was supposed to extract the winzip first. lol.
Well, have all sorted it now and I hope this helps someone who gets stuck like me....

I had that problem with WinRar for awhile but I just told it to not touch .cabs

HELLO ALL.....I STARTED LAST NIGHT TRYING TO MAKE MY OWN THEME..I TRIED MANILA EDITOR COULDNT FIGURE OUT WHY I KEPT GETTING A ERROR WHEN I TRIED TO REPLACE THE PICTURE??? BUT I FOUND ANTOHER EDITOR THE CFC VERSION LET ME CHANGE PICTURE FILES NOW WHAT I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IS HOW TO CONVERT THE FOLDER INTO CAB OR PREFERABLY THEME FORMAT???? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED IREALLY NEED THIS BECAUSE I NEED TO KNOW HOW THE THEME ACTUALLY LOOKS AND I WOULD LIKE TO USE THE DIAMOND TF3D CONFIG TOOL. SO PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I HANG MY SELF FROM THE TOP OF MY MONITOR.

there was a post about MS website that lets you do your own theme... search for it in this forum... I tried it and it's very useful, at least until we get a real theme generator

I have found through trial and error that it seems to work if you select one of the Phones which only supports portrait mode. On the ones which can rotate, although it lets you upload the image and set up correctly, it crashes when processing. That can be overcome by using the portrait only and then editing the .tsk when downloaded and saved - simply delete the exisiting image file and replace with the correct pair of .jpgs for Portrait and Lansdcape [ stwater_480_800.jpg and stwater_800_480.jpg].
Editing the .tsk is done by making a copy - rename the extension to .cab and then use WinCE CAB Manager to edit. Once done, save and rename back to .tsk
