Launch Cyberon Speed Dial via BT Headset, possibly due to a missing dll - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I asked this question in the general dev and hacking forum but i think i should've asked it here, so here it goes:
I am using NATF v3 ROM which has MVC (MS Voice Command) built into it, and MVC works well for voice dialing if your contacts have English names, which I don't have. So, i went ahead and disabled MVC (can't uninstall as it is built into the ROM) and installed Cyberon Speed Dial which allows me to use my own voice tags to do the calling.
everything is ok, but the only problem is that i can't find away to start cyberon by pressing the BT headset button. all solutions i found on this and other forums were for the other way around (using MVC instead of cyberon)
thanks for reading and will really appreciate your help

still trying to get this worked out, and it seems that "OEMAGW.dll" is missing from my ppc, if somebody is kind enough to find it under his/her windows directory and post it, that will be great

OEMAGW.dll, anybody?

i would really appreciate anybody sending me the file

This is it

voice answering on trinity

Hi I m looking for a voice answering software, wich will enable to answer or reject phone call just by saying "yes" or "no" for exemple.
I had that function on my very old sony eicsson t68i.
It 'll be more than usefull in car with bt headset.
I ve looked the forum without finding anything, please tell me that application exist and I m too dumb to find it
thanks in advance, bob.
up
please
you and try search for "answering machine" think it's global for all htc devices that their hardware makes such an option imposible
I dont think bobcnsta is looking for an answerphone app, he is after a voice control of incoming calls, so when the phone rings, he can answer it by saying yes or no to accept or ditch the call.
Unfortunatly, I dont know of any programs myself...
yes that s exactly that dash8brj, I tried unsuccessfully voice2go, but it wasn t what I expected.
thanks anyway

I'm not sure, but I think I remember reading once that the latest Voice Command (1.6) didn't support phone answering, only voice dialing. I guess because you need to press a button to activate listening mode, they just thought you might as well just press the answer call button.
I also remember reading about some incompatibility with the Trinity.
Voice command 1.6 works well with my trinity using AXL's WM6 rom, but doesnt have the ability to use your voice to answer a call, it does require a button press to enable listening mode.
Voice answering macine is impossible in Windows Mobile, because Microsoft designed it this way.
If HTC wish they could slove it.
I have i-teq X-BOND with windows mobile 5 OS, I have builting answering mashine on it which working very good. So I do not think there is limitation with Microsoft or Windows mobile!!
I dumped my original rom but I am not very expert to finding this answering mashine among other files in rom. if someone expert help me, may be it is possible to install this answering mashine into other devices.
P.S.: i-teq x-bond is similar to Gigabyte g-smart (64 MB ROM)

Voice Command 1.6 on Tytn II

Has anyone installed MS Voice Command on their Tytn II yet? I'd really like to be able to initiate calls from the BT headset when in the car...
Just curious since I know the new version supposedly supports commands directly from the headset. If no one else has.. maybe I'll buy it and give it a shot.

Works like a charm. Will post the link to get VC 1.6 to announce calls.
can you post the link please to get it to announce calls.
Its been great having VC 1.6 running with no hacks needed. It would be the icing on the cake to have it announce calls finally.
Can I just install it and it works? As in I can initiate calls with the BT Headset button? I hate having to fiddle with the phone.
If I can't do this, it's not worth $39 imho.

Here you go (found it after searching for hours don't remember from where)
***
Disable Voice Command before you attempt this
Overwrite your existing files from the zip. Make sure you can see hidden/system files
\Windows
VoiceCommand_PPC.cpl
\Program Files\Voice Command\
VoiceCmdRes_PPC.dll
VoiceCommandWMP.dll
voicecmd.exe
Enable voice command.
Let me know how it goes.

As I said you should have windows display hidden/system files to see that. Check your windows explorer settings, all 4 files are there.
Thanks. That did solve the problem.
I can't seem to get Voice Command to announce my reminders. Is there any fix for this yet?

I thought this was for VC 1.5 not 1.6??? I thought VC 1.6 was supposed to work natively with the BT headset? I'm not rying to be a pain - I just don't want to hack anything up if I don't have to.

I have both but VC 1.5 won't even start on my Kaiser.
OK... So I added the suggested key to the registry - but Istill can't start Voice Command with the button on the headset... (Jabra x10 series II)
Any thoughts? I am assuming the regsitry key is a String Value:
Name = "Path"
and then the value being the path itself... is this correct??

Make sure you assign the voice command button as well
It seems to be working now... It takes two beeps on the headset to initiate VC. Well... We'll see how this works over the next week or so...
Glad you got it working.
BTW my JX10 works with one press.

I have to hold the button until there are 2 beeps then i get the prompt...
Maybe the Series II works differently?

Maybe... but if it works that's all that matters!
Are these steps working for other Kaiser users? VC 1.6 works fine after install for activation via an assigned button on the phone. No matter what tweaks I make in the registry or files I replace though, activation through the headset is just opening up the HTC phone applet.

Voice commander - Silencing it!

The HTC voice commander, is there any way to stop it repeating what you said after you've spoken someones name or the application to load?
cheers guys
Could be wrong here, but I think it is prompting you to confirm that it has interpreted your command properly.
When I am making a call, it won't proceed until I have said "yes" after it repeats the contact name.

Start --> Settings --> Voice Command
(and FYI, it's Microsoft Voice Command, not made by HTC)
ok then cheers.
iv had a look under all the command settings and it doesnt say anywhere about turning the repeat off. With my command it beeps, then i say the name, then it calls. It doesnt wait for confirmation etc at all.
Doesn't cyberon have a program named voice commander?
I am fairly certain the original question was referring to Cyberon voice dialer. I don't think you would want to silence it since it is not always that accurate. It will repeat back to you what it "thinks" you said. This gives you the opportunity to cancel if it gets it wrong.
On the flip side, I discovered that if your phone is set to vibrate only, the speaker is turned off and the voice dialer is silenced... So there is at least one way to accomplish what you want.
My mistake, that does sound like Voice Commander. Not a big fan of that program...
Apologies guys, just checked the 'about' of it and it is Cyberon Voice Speed Dial.
Id still be interested in silencing it if anyone has any advice. I know its usefull hearing it back to you, but usually i say the name then lift my head to go about something else, only checking the screen top see if its a name iv had problems (voice) calling before.
That being said, are there any alternatives that are more popular? Iv had a bit of a look around but havnt found any other free programs that beat the standard voice dial.
Nothing free, but MS Voice Command is a good alternative. Cost's $40 or something like that but I am about to pull the trigger on it cuz Cyberon suks and has some kind of conflict with my bluetooth headset...
My vote goes to MS Voice Command also. I'm also rather fond of it repeating back to me what it's about to do, since it sometimes hears me wrong.
For people in the US on AT&T, the latest leaked WM 6.1 build has MS Voice Command integrated in to the ROM. Dutty used it as part of his Apr 09/16 release, so MSVC is already loaded and ready to go.
Is there a way to have the repeated command sent to the earpiece speaker rather than the speakerphone? I like to hold my phone up to my ear and forget sometimes as the speaker blasts away at my eardrum...
Been using it for a few days now and im starting to get used to the voice so guess ill just live with it.
Thanks for the help anyway guys

How to shut off Voice-caller ID

I've flashed one of Dutty's new ROM's, and he has the voice-caller ID built into it. I've searched around for how to shut it off, but only found a thread on how to install it.
I tried blocking off voice command in the registry editor, that stops the voice but also silences the ringtone where the voice would be.
Basicly, All I want is just ringtone and no voice.
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Text-to-speech (TTS) SMS Reader (like Blue&Me®)

Hi, Folks,
I'm searching for a software to read the incoming SMS like the Blue&Me® by Fiat/Microsoft do.
I've found this app (TellMeText 1.1.0), but it has only one language (US English), and the language file is compiled with the executable app.
Anyone knows a app to do this function and a way to use the Gabriela Voice (Pt-BR) from iGo or something like this?
Thanks in advanced
If you have Microsoft Voice Command (MSVC) on your phone, you can set it to read incomming text messages, voice announce who is calling, and more Just be sure you really want it to do that before you turn it on.. It can be embarassing when someone TXT's you something questionable when you are in line at the bank or something... There is a feature where it will onyl read it when you have a bluetooth headset connection.. that is what I personally do...
I agree with Teej. I used the free/busy toggle cab to work around this. If I am not at work or somewhere I wouldn't want certain messages read aloud, I leave it free. If at work, I set it to busy. MSVC worked very well for me.
yes, MSVC is good, but reads the msg soooooo fast that you can berly understand what is happening. and the MSVC voice is sooo ennoying.anyway to fix it?

I haven't used it in a while since I am flashing roms constantly, but I know there is a registry hack where you can slow it down. Just Google it or search here. You can also edit voice recognition so that it is easier for it to pick up what you are say. Its a nice program, just very picky about installation and stuff so people don't like to always deal with it.
i just searched it, didnt find anything. prob didnt type the right info in search.
Is it any trouble if you can guide me ot the right path( regarding slowing the voice and voice recognition)
Appreciate it tilt4life2
this in an idea I like the sound of. Have you looked at the complete MSVC guide on this forum? It may hold a referance to the slowing down of the voices. Im guessing searching MSVC guide should find it or it may be linked in the Kaiser Wiki. Good Luck!
There is also TellMeText by Blondiesoft here and it's totally freeware:
http://www.blondiesoft.com/software/mobile/TellMeText/
It even announces the message before your notification goes off with its regular message tone.

Perhaps it has something to do with the threaded sms? I'm not sure. All I know is that it works fine on my TyTN II with WM6.0. In any event, I have decided to go with voice command instead.

Yes! the Kaiser Tweaks cab has the voice command settings in it. It's generically set to 4. Higher settings speeds the chick up, and lower settings slows her down.
Hope this helps.
You can search for Kaiser Tweaks in here to get the cab.
Cheers!

To change the voice's speed:
Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Speech\Voices"
Change the value of "DefaultTTSRate" from between 1 (slowest) and 10 (fastest). Default is 4. Experiment to discover what is right for you.
