Wired headsets - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know of a wired headset with music controls (play, pause, skip, etc.) that's compatible with the Xperia?
Out of curiosity I tried a Griffin iPhone one but surprisingly enough it didn't work

I also tried other iPhone handsfree together with the Griffin's, I guess the 3.5mm jack is not compatible... it got no sound at all but resume normal if u keep on pressing the talk button on the wire lol
the original can use with other earphones but seems a bit degraded the quality

i use the Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro Inear
with 3 drivers/speakers per soundchannel.
i`ve tested my ue10pro headsets with a lot of mp3 players and mobile phones.
but the X1 is the first player, who can unleash the power to drive the UE 10 pro to there limit....
only my sondcard a creative x-fi has got enough power to blast your ears/tympanic membrane....
the base is unbeleavable! the headset can go down to 10hz. and the high tones are crisp, sharp, clear. but a little
to soft from the middle to the highest frequency. but this could be fixed with the equalizer/audio booster.
if you set the first base frequency to +12 and the second slider to -10, you can formerly 'feel' the extreme deep bases.
you cant beleave, that you are not in a club!
don`t use the x1+ue10 for longer time on maximum power. thats very risky for your ears. trust me.
the only thing is, you have to use coreplayer and calibrate the equalizer.
or use a new custom rom (touch it hd) with integrated audio booster.
holy ****, that rulez!!
Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro Inear (~300$-400$)
http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateears/products/triplefi/triplefi10pro_description.php
these devices with othoplastic, spezially for your ears. and a laser burns your name into the headsets.
if you have 900$ bucks into your pocket, take a look at that:
http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateears/products/custom/ue10pro_description.php
or 1150$? with 4 audio drivers/speaker per ear!!
http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateears/products/custom/ue11pro_description.php
this is the last headset you buy! the cables are replaceble with translucent cables and iphone button.
no more broken headset cables/wires.
the x1 with different headsets and audio settings will more discussed

Kaiser As Media Player (iPod Replacement)

At present, when I ride my motorbike into work, I listen to my iPod shuffle. I'm wondering about using my Kaiser for this instead. I got a cheap little USB plug in that allows me to connect regular headphones to it, but what else would anyone recommend?
Whats the best media player for a Windows Mobile 6 device? I'd like one that remembers where you are in a mp3 (for listening to long podcasts over a few trips).
Are there any specific headphones anyone would recommend? I have a Bluetooth intercom in the helmet, which I might try connecting up. The music wouldn't sound so good, but I could take phone calls on the bike then...
Coreplayer is good. It remembers last played location in song/video. But its not free.
I'd recommend Bose Quite Comfort As you already have an adaptor to connect to.. But it wont fit in ur helmet though.
I use mine instead of my MP3 player - if you put it into flight mode, the battery lasts for ages. I quite like HTC Audio Manager - works better the media player imo.
Headphone wise, I'd probably recommend some Shure E3C's - quite expensive, but great quality, and cut out plenty of ambient sound (though not sure if you want this on the bike?)
if you can avoid the cables while riding i'd go for that
Tilt + CorePlayer = iPod what ?????
I use my Tilt for that exact purpose ridding my Motorcycle to work and back. I use CorePlayer and couldn't be any happier. The one minor flaw is, if I get a text or email, CorePlayer does not pause and I can hear the notification and my music at the same time. If I have MS Voice Command on it can get annoying...

I switch between listening to my iPod and my TyTN II for my motorcycle rides and I would highly recommend the Shure E3Cs. I've been using them for over a year. I ride with an open face helmet and the attenuation is perfect; the earphones reduce the outside to a much more manageable and comfortable level and now I can actually _hear_ my music without having to turn the volume up high. Depending on the device I use, the volume is usually between 40% and 60%. And when I go though drive-thrus, I just turn the music off and I can hear the drive-thru speaker just fine. The earphones are on the expensive side, but I've gotten everything I paid for and would buy them again in an instant.
And from what I've been told, human ears evolved to hear low volume sounds (like a stalking predator or approaching pirate/ninja) so I'm comfortable with reducing the volume of the world around me when I'm riding by 26-28 dBs.
Paul
i use my artemis for exactly this
...and i listen to it with some streaming A2DP bluetooth stereo headphones, which also act as a phone handset - works absolutely great.
if your helmet offers an A2DP upgrade it'd be worth it, or if it's possible to swap out the existing helmet phones for a pair of bluetooth->wired earphones so you could do the same.
music via A2DP is great on phones - it mutes and pauses when you get a call, and the AVRC controls on most headsets let you answer the phone, pause, fast forward, etc.
I'm using Motorola HT820 headphones, if you can fit them on your head under your helmet they're great and under 20UKP on Amazon.
http://tiltsite.com/2008/03/use-the-tilt-as-your-full-time-mp3-player/
I use the Motorola Wireless headphones as well. My only comment is that this phone after all the tweaks I have done and battery saving techniques etc, I am still VERY attached to my charger.
Every chance I get I charge this phone because I cannot run out of battery or I am in trouble.
Using the phone for wireless music while the phone is on uses the battery pretty intensely. Consequently you will need to charge more frequently. I am usually not inclined to risk running out of battery just to have some music.

What is your guys views on Pocket Music player? Kinda loved it some few years ago in my magician (wm2003se, intel processor) but when i tried it on recent devices, the quality wasn't as good as before. Not sure if pocket music is not proper for wm5/6.
Regards,
Carty..
I use Conduits Pocket Player v4.1 it is truly the best I've found. I'm using a motorola s705 with sony ear buds and changed my registry settings "added the priority265 dword and changed my bitpool to 60" I have to say I'm very happy with it. Here is a link to it......
I tried to post a link but it says i'm a new member I've been on this site for years..... If anyone needs it pm me and I'll send ya a rapid share link
i also HIGHLY recommend conduits pocket player (v4.1 is current as of this post). i use a little mini-usb to standard headphone jack...but not in a motorcycle. i hook up the tape adapter to the jack and listen to music in the car's speakers while driving my car.
best thing about pocket player is the shear amount of powerful configuration options. its like play dough...you can adapt it to your preferences and the media browser is top notch.
worst thing about pocket player is that it is not aware of the new wm6.5.3 layout (thinner top bar and fatter bottom bar), so a few pixels along the bottom are clipped.

What headphones w/ mic that work with the Streak

I'm looking for a set of nicer headphones that would work with the dell streak if anyone know's of any. The stock headphones have poor sound quality and can even have a crackling disturbance, however the mic is perfect. I tried the v-moda remix remote, however the mic does not work. The play button works fine but the volume buttons do not work either (as to be expected). I would like a pair that has first and foremost a superb sound quality with a working mic and if possible a control button that allows to play / pause / answer incoming calls / end calls. Volume control is not of an importance in the least. Are there any suggestions for any that you guys know that works? I will have to return the v-moda and try a different one. I'm looking into the Klipsch Image S4i, but I'm not sure if it will work either. Any information will be much appreciated.
With 71 views since I first posted this it seems people are interested in the possible options as well. So I thought I would give you guys the results after trial and error over many headphones I've tried. I've also discovered that any three button controls inhibit the mic from working. All of these were tested using only the U.S. version of the Dell Streak stock 1.6 rom.
Dell Streak Stock Headphones
Sound Quality - Horrible; It sounded like I was listening to a $3.00 pair from walmart. There seemed to be a constant crackling noise when talking to people or moving.
Mic - The mic is impressive for it being free. However it does seem to pick up a lot of background noise (ex. wrappers, tv, sirens etc.)
Price - Comes with Streak so free.
Comfort - Alright, but seemed to fall out quite often making it more of an annoyance.
Button control - one button that makes a loud clicking sound and can be heard (also just kind of annoying)
Appearance - Look like the aforementioned walmart pair
Klipsch Image S4i
Sound Quality - Good, not great but to be better than any Skull Candies you can buy. This also had a lot of clicking sound while using these in a phone call using the phone's mic (not the ones on the headphones)
Mic - Did not work on the dell streak
Price - $99
Comfort - Seemed a little heavy but alright
Button control - three button in which the play button will activate the playing of music (in or out of app), answer a call, mute a call, end a call, skip track, go to previous track, and pause track
Appearance - Good
Shure SE210
Sound Quality - Good treble but horrible bass. Great with sound isolation, hard to hear anything around you.
Mic - N/A
Price - $139
Comfort - 1) The cord seems to be too long and can get in the way. 2) The foam ear pieces were really annoying seeing that you had to decompress them to go into your ear. 3) The 3.5mm jack sticks straight out and for the Streak in your pocket this can be a pretty big issue for me
Button control - N/A
Appearance - These look like something you would see off of Startrek (the old kind) They stick out of your ear pretty far.
V-MODA Remix Remote
Sound Quality - Good, but very disappointing compared to their previous V-MODA Vibes which had sound of perfection of it's price range three years ago. This also had a lot of clicking sound while using these in a phone call using the phone's mic (not the ones on the headphones)
Mic - Did not work on the dell streak
Price - $99
Comfort - Alright but if you are laying down they will hurt
Button control - three button. The control buttons seemed like it would be very easy to break. Play button will activate the playing of music (in or out of app), answer a call, mute a call, end a call, skip track, go to previous track, and pause track
Appearance - Great appearance, hand crafted metal, sleek design, barely noticeable.
V-MODA faze
Sound Quality - Horrible for the price. They literally sounded no better than the stock dell streak headphones except for the fact that they would crackle every time I spoke made a sound or moved. Not a faint crackle either.
Mic - alright but people said I seemed distant
Price - $49
Comfort - Alright but if you are laying down they will hurt
Button control - One button with a loud click and hard to get to. Made of cheap plastic. Play button will activate the playing of music (in or out of app), answer a call, mute a call, end a call, skip track, go to previous track, and pause track
Appearance - Good appearance, hand crafted metal, sleek design except for the button control. The button control looks like it was made from lego plastic or something.
After a long bit of 2 days trying out headphones buying/returning and spending hours of researching online I had lost all hope. I heard that Bose had released some new headphones but Bose didn't have the best rep with their headphones (great rep for headsets and surround sound / normal for headphones and car systems) My friend talked me into trying them because he knew someone who loved them. So I went to the store and was blown away and immediately bought them.
Bose MIE2
Sound Quality - Seriously the best headphones I've ever listened to. However with the music you are listening to, make sure it's around 256kbps (can be less just higher than 128kbps) or these headphones will pick up things not normally heard with lower quality tracks. There is 0 crackling. Superb bass and treble with a strong sound and unbelievable range. Only complaint is that the sound leaks out a little bit so if you are listening to loud music people around you will probably hear it. This is probably due to the ability to hear around you if you are not playing music (aka talking on the phone with these). I can still hear people walking or anything as if I didn't have any headphones in if I'm talking, however music playing cuts this down dramatically. Keep in mind these are not noise isolating nor noise canceling. This can be a benefit if you are using it for talking as much as listening to music.
Mic - Friends say they can hear me crystal clear, up close and loud. Seems to block most background sound.
Price - $129
Comfort - With them in you can lay on your ear without feeling them in. With the new design of the tips they are not forced into your ear canal but are sitting in it with support from the area surrounding your ear canal. One can run with them in and not have a problem or worry about them falling out and can barely tell that you are even wearing headphones.
Button control - one button on the right ear cord. Hard to get used to because it's up high but is a great place for the better sounding mic and the button is really easy to press because it covers the entire strip of the mic. Play button will activate the playing of music (in or out of app), answer a call, mute a call, end a call, skip track, go to previous track, and pause track
Appearance - Good appearance, outside looks like metal but is actually plastic. The cord is half white and half black (don't understand why they did this but oh well). You would think that the outer ear support previously mentioned would look tacky, but you can't even really see it. Plus if it does annoy you it comes with the normal inner ear only attachments.
I am very happy I found these in which truly restored my faith in Bose headphones. I suggest that anyone who's looking for a good pair to at least go to the store and try them, they will not disappoint. If any of you decide to look into buying these make sure you don't mix the MIE2 with the IE2 (which is just the headphones no mic) nor with the MIE2i (which is the same thing as the MIE2 but it has the three buttons there for making it not work with the Dell Streak and practically only with Apple products I believe).
I hope this will help some of you because music quality is a big thing to me, as is the ease of talking to people (the dell streak is hard to hold on to while talking and driving). Let me know if you guys have tried any others and your opinions of them using the Streak. Thanks!
I find that the streak is pretty awful for listening to music due to constant background hissing/static. I'm guessing the audio DAC is crappola. Do you also have static issues?
It's mostly noticeable in quiet environments when I play the music softly so that I can still hear what's going on around me. You can also hear the static start and stop when you start and stop music, including a "click" which I guess corresponds to the audio DAC being turned on.
Do any of these headphones make the static somewhat more bearable? The static volume seems to be constant regardless of the audio volume, so maybe headphones with a lower sensitivity would improve things?
the apple headphones also work. both the cheap one that comes with the iphones and the $79 in-ear one at the apple store. the in-ear is much better and is one of the few headphones that deserve that price. the volume buttons dont work unfortunately but the middle button does. basically, any mic'd headphones that work with iphones will work because its the same standard.

Yes, the bose MIE2 do not have any static from my experience with them. There is no static talking, nor listening to music loud or softly. I'm very happy with these.

This is not exactly the case. As you can seen in my review (the 2nd post) that the v-moda remix control that were made for iPhone and the mic does not work. I bought these from the apple store and the sound works well but the mic does not work. Can you confirm that the mic on the iPhone in ear headphones with 3 button control does work with the Dell Streak? Because I haven't been able to find headphones with 3 buttons to work with the Dell Streak in referring to mic capabilities. As previously mentioned I'm very happy with the bose MIE2 one button headphones.
Also I'm curious to see if there is any static with the iPhone headphones?

I can confirm that for the 3 button iPhone/iPod headset, the mic does not work with the Streak. I think it has something to do an "apple chip" that these and other compatible headsets use. Also, the iPhone/iPod headset has the same level of static as the headset that came with the Dell streak.
GREAT review, and much appreciated. I've been holding off on buying any headsets because I didn't even know where to start. Been a long time fan of Shure (though not their price), but that Bose headset sounds just about perfect for me and right in the price range I was looking for...
v-moda vibe II
I have just received my V-moda vibe II headphones and they seem to be working very well. I have used v-moda headphones for while now and this pair does not disappoint. It's a bit heavy on the low end of the spectrum but I personally like that. All of the buttons work with streak in the same manner as the original headset that came with the streak. They have cords wrapped in kevlar so it should be tangle free. Overall I would highly recommend them for use with streak.
I'm using sony ericsson MW_600 bluetooth media earphones, mic is spot on, display will be ideal when bluetooth profiles are compatible, built in fm radio is cool, sound quality is impressive (3.5mm jack so you can use your own too), easy to use & supports upto 5 devices at once, built in battery lasts ages (micro usb charge) & its really compact & small... the hands free call button is well designed too. Buttons incl. FFW, RW, PLAY/PAUSE, POWER/PAIR, CALL/REDIAL, small lcd display & the volume is a sensor sliding style strip. I paid £40 del but amazon now sell them for £30 (if they drop any cheaper, I'm buying a second pair just incase, they're that good!)

disabling touch screen when using remote
Hi all,
I'm using meridian as its good for driving. problem is i've noticed (I dunno if its the same for other players) but when my headset is connected and i press the remote button (ie to play or pause), the touch screen is activated and as its in my pocket the phone thinks i'm pressing all kinds of stuff! Is there any way of disabling the homescreen from activating when i press the remote button. You'd think somethink as simple as this would have a work around in the settings or something but I can't find it. I've tried looking through tasker but they don't have an event for 'remote button pressed'.
any ideas would be great

I use mixzing & they have a lockscreen option too, you can disable the screen popping up evrytime a new track starts, maybe yours is the same? I would definitely recommended mixzing if you can't fix it & want to try a different player

http://www.gsmarena.com/dell_streak-review-531p5.php
direct headphone sounds ok with my AKG 26P, even with my Senn HD-555
bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP works very well with my SE HBH-DS980
headset w/mic i would like to see which one work well, because i tried the headset w/mic from my Omnia II (replacable headphone type) and it sound terribly hollow with much static and echo... even when i change the headphones...
all still in donut
I bought the Sony MW-600 based on the recommendation in this thread. Paired with a set of Etymotic ear buds and couldn't be happier. All the buttons work, quality is excellent.
Being able to select your own headset is the only way to go - I just couldn't find a mic enabled set I liked.

I just want to say thanks for the mention of the MW-600. It really is a rather impressive little piece of kit and I would not have known about it otherwise.
Thanks for this CLburns! quite pricey them bose though some holiday gift maybe if they're good like you said.

No problem. Some people at my university tried them out, then a week later 4/8 bought them. They are well worth the money i spent. If you do get them I would suggest listening to higher bit music such as 256kbps+. 128 just doesnt seem to give the "ahh" perspective that it would with lower quality headphones. Ive started redownloading my music library to accommodate the high performance, and these headphones make all the difference in the world.
I'm pleased to hear that my review was helpful for everyone!

Replacement Headphones for Samsung Focus

I recently destroyed my OM headphones that came with the phone and had the arduous task of finding a compatible headset that offered quality and functionality.
I found out that these do not work
iBeats Dr Dre edition- mic does not work and volume buttons do not work (100)
Skull Candy- Mic does not work but the play and pause buttons do(60)
and finally the one that did work
V-moda vibe duo- full functionality but only comes with an answer button which does play an pause. (100)
feel free to add your experience with purchased headsets
Sound quality was the best on V-moda, then iBeats, then skull candy
Skull candy is a company and not a specific headphones... they have many models. As for the skull candy full metal jackets, the mic does work. I cannot compare them to the others mentioned, but the sound is very good.
My Marshall Minors work on the focus. Not the cheapest but they are pretty cool looking and sound great.
this might be a little late but I need some new headphones for use at work and do not want to spend a lot. I searched "ehs60annbe" on amazon and found plenty of merchants selling what appear to be the exact headphones that come with the phone.
These ones are $6.83 +free shipping
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-EHS60...EEZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1299825988&sr=8-1
I lost my pair that came with the phone, so I was excited to see these.
I ordered a pair and they should arrive tomorrow.
If they are indeed the same as those that came with the phone, I might order me a couple more - I really liked them, and they worked perfectly with the phone (control wise).
Thanks for the post.

Unfortunately I'm having problems with these headphones - for some reason, the controls will only increase the volume - you can't decrease the volume.
Perhaps I received a "bad" pair? Anyone else tried these?
The Focus has a VERY clean audio output. I've fed it into my home stereo and was impressed with the detail and clairity. I listened with Etymotic 6i headphones and was blown away. After that, the included headset sounds muddy with a artificial bass boost.
For those who can afford to splurge on a headset, consider the Etymotic mc3
Any recommendations for matching the original pair that came with the Focus?
My priorities:
-Must be able to trigger voice control
-Must have working microphone
-Must be able to answer/hangup calls
-Must have volume up and down
-Must not be expensive
-Should be gel like for in-ear
I've tried iPhone ones, they don't do volume/up down.
I've tried tried the common silver Samsung one with one button - the button doesn't pick up or hangup calls.
Help!
This ones looks identical to the oem ones and they are pretty cheap!:

Headphones that WILL be fully compatible with wp7, and sound pretty decent as well.
Though it will probably be a few more months until they are released.
Anyone had any luck finding headphones with working volume and answer call buttons? Preferably ones with a more sturdy cover over the connector since my cable broke because of too much twisting and bending.

jkimrey, Did you find a solution? I have the same problem. I read somewhere that it's because Samsung is using a newer standard that allows for TV Out or something. But this is really annoying.
same here i cant find any that the buttons fully work on, that i'm willing to buy. I got some on amazon that only volume up works. my wifes blackberry ones that came with her torch work but i cant find them anywhere. The cat ate my original ones

I can say that these are the ones i got from amazon same thing with the button... It doesnt even look the same as the OEM ones.
Has anyone tried the Zagg Smartbuds? they appear to have all the controls that one could want [play/pause, skip FW/BK, Volume, answer/hangup(I assume would work with voice activation as well)] but they are a bit pricey.
Am I the only one who would like a non-in ear headphone that works with the Focus?
At this point, I just want something that's compatible! I have had zero luck so far in getting earphones compatible with my Focus. I too found the common Samsung ones. Thankfully, I got two pairs for less than $10. Guess what they work perfectly with? My effing iPod touch. GAH.
I honestly have no idea why this is so hard...
V-Moda =
I have to second the V-Moda headphones. I'm currently using them in conjunction with Monster replacement foam tips (medium) and the sound is amazing (albeit the highs are a little muffled but the bass is punchy and responsive). It is a one button setup which bothered me at first, but with a dedicated volume rocker on the device it's really not so much of an issue that I thought it would be. If the Focus only had an equalizer of some sort to bring out the highs, these headphone would be perfect. The mic quality in the headset is beautiful and these 'phones are as durable as all heck (they've been: stuck in a car door for 50 miles, went through the wash, stepped on, trampled, chewed on by a dog, caught on bushes etc.) and have never even began to show signs of wear. If you can live with pocket adjusting the volume, I would recommend getting these.
I should probably mention that I DO NOT work for V-Moda despite how it sounds... I just happen to be a sort of audiophile and while the Focus itself doesn't have the BEST sound quality (I'm coming from a Cowon S9 lol) these heaphones help to bring out its above average playback capability. Another side note is that in response to the OP, the Modas don't only pause/play/answer call/hang up. While listening to music playback you can double tap the button to skip to the next song or triple tap it to skip back.

The iPhone headphones work decently. They don't fully work (microphone / volume up and down), but pause / play / next song/ previous song does work. Before the mango update, I was only able to get the play to work. It seems Microsoft is slowly making the iPhone headphones compatible with the Focus.

Does anybody have a link to a hardware specification for what these in-line buttons actually do for the WP7 phones?
Pretty much all the headphones with in-line controls and a microphone have 4 conductors which are:
- left-audio
- right-audio
- common/ground
- signalling/mic
Here is the spec for IPod Shuffle remote headsets:
pinouts.ru/PortableDevices/iphone_headphone_pinout.shtml
david.carne.ca/shuffle_hax/shuffle_remote.html
So the three buttons operate as follows:
Button 1 - short to ground through 10K resistor (up)
Button 2 - short to ground (answer/hangup/play/pause)
Button 3 - short to ground through 4.7K resistor (down)
But the ipod remote (no mic) has an onboard microcontroller that receives DC power on the mic line as well and is used as a sort of authentication device allowing the Ipod Shuffle to uniquely identify the remote through a challegage response tone scheme. I'm not sure if this is included in the iphone remote cause the circuitry would probably interfere with the mic signal.
Headphones with only one button always short mic/4th conductor to ground so that will always work, but I bet WP7 and Iphone/ipad specs for the resistors for the up/down buttons are different.
I hope WP7 remotes don't have the microcontroller.
I may disassemble my OEM Samsung headphones and try to figure this out. It would be nice to get some Shure or Sennhesier hi-end headphones and plug them into a little adapter that provided to correct buttons. All the hi-end earbuds are iphone/ipad-only.
Presumably I could just cut off the ear-buds on the samsung headphones and solder some of the Shure connectors on there - then just plug in the Shure ear-buds. (all high-end Shure earbuds have replaceable cords

[Review] Good replacement Wired Headset - Panasonic

I recently purchased the Panasonic RP-TCM120E-K wired headset from Tata Croma. The pack was sealed and there was not test pieces available, but I decided to take the risk and purchase it. The cover says "Not compatible with Nokia phones". This was another reason to purchase, since none of the Nokia Headsets worked with my CSL-Mi410. (Kind of inverse logic.. if it doesn't work with Nokia, it will work with my phone )
Here is a brief review of the product: (I am not a technical audiophile, hence I won't go into too much detail on impedance etc.)
Cost: Rs. 699/- (approx 12.7 USD)
In the box: Earphones, Three interchangeable ear piece cushions (S/M/L)
Performance:
Testing was done as (a) Regular call (b) Audio through Default Music Player and also MIUI player (c) Movie played through MX Player. Audio is crystal clear in all cases. Call volumes are good and there is no unwanted static even if the earphones are moved (swivelled in place). On/Off call button works fine and is compatible with our phone. I tried many headsets (mainly Nokia ones) which didn't have a satisfactory performance. I am not a great fan of bass, but this gives a good response and beats are clearly audible. I tested music across genres (Bollywood, Pop, Trance) and was quite happy with the output. Similarly, audio from movies didn't have any problems.
The wire extends for a good length (1.1 m) and folds to a compact size in the pocket. Being in-ear phones, you can easily use them while working out as they maintain their fit. At Rs. 699, this is not a cheap earphones, nor is it expensive. Based on performance and positives, it is worth the price I shelled out. In my opinion and good replacement for the stock earphones which are quite bulky and kept falling off.
Positives:
+ Sound quality is good (across genres)
+ Mic on/off button also controls Music Pause/Play (on Android Music Player and MIUI Player if you are running MIUI)
+ Snug fit to the ears and doesn't fall off easily
Negatives:
- The wire seems plasticky, but doesn't feel like a cheap roadside item.
- Gets tangled quite easily (maybe this is because I just shove it into my pocket).
Any link for online Deal ???

Ditto for the Panasonic headphones. Picked up mine for Rs. 600.00 from Spice HotSpot.
Excellent audio response.
Does it have mute button?

Samsung Level U Pro - BT Headphones - Wow

Picked these up on Amazon for £70, main reason was level app gives all the function and tuning sound to suit plus the two speaker per earpiece design.
Cut to the chase stunning sound. I am picky with around 10 pairs of headphones ranging from Sony, Beats to AT. Also an ex audiophile coming from full on active Naim Audio system. Reason for mentioning that was the way Naim exerts grip, control, detail and ease rarely phased.
This sums up the headphones, never experienced this sort of deep controlled taut bass on headphones coupled with a clear midrange- normally one ruins the other.
The sound level when you attach the right size buds is shockingly loud - at max phone and headset zero distortion.
Plus you get all the notifications and crap s voice. Can take calls not tried says has two microphones.
Negatives, neck surround it very hard and stiff, ear buds do not totally seal and on my set BT occasionally disconnects but worst of all an ongoing BT skip every 15 - 30 seconds.
Hope I can solve the connectivity as even my cheap mpow have zero BT issues.
All that said an awesome headset.
Update: Reset the level U and unpaired, then repaired - all sorted NO BT connectivity issues, also have my Gear S2 and Car BT connected this morning.
Wore it to work, forgot I had it on as it was just hanging on my shoulders, realised when it vibrated (notifications).
Tried a few call, very good, I prefer to use it with 1 earpiece, mic quality (has 2) seems very good to the other party.
What about battery life?
Not really timed it but on a full charge 6 days ago have had 5hrs use in the app still shows more than half.

I hope samsung gives a fix for this.

Bought this unit today and paired with Axon 7 Mini and instantly hated the sound and volume level.....of course i was driving away from the store and just had to try it. I immediately put the headset on my center console in my car and left it till i finished up my other activities and didn't touch it till i got home and downloaded the Level app from the play store. Pulled up reviews on amazon, and Headfi and saw people raving about the sound quality, put my laptop down and started going through my settings on the phone players(Neutron,Poweramp beta, and built in ZTE hi res player)......then setup Samsung Level app and changed the silicone tips to a set that fit my ears perfectly and then .....DAMN ! These things DO sound amazing. The quality of the drivers is beyond what i expected and the volume is just perfect....I love to crank it up,but my ears have been damaged through playing in live bands and crazy loud car stereos, and the volume was loud but not painfully so....These are keepers and sound great with the Dolby Atmos turned on. My two cents .....great deal when you find these now for $39.99
