Small cosmetic issue - Sprint Diamond - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I've had my Diamond for about a week or so now and after a few days I noticed a relatively minor cosmetic issue. As seen in the pics below, the button pad on the bottom is slightly raised on the right side. The buttons still function as normal. It's not really noticeable when you're holding the device during normal usage, but pretty visible when looking at it from certain angles. Are there any decent disassembly instructions/walkthroughs for the Sprint Diamond floating around? I found the service manual for the euro diamond, but not the CDMA Sprint version. I can probably do it myself, but it always helps to have a backup in case I forget how to re-assemble certain parts. I'm not sure it's something I really want to bother sending the phone back for or anything. I can live with it if I can't fix it myself.

Diamond service manual
Hi if you PM me your email adress I will email you the service manual.
Ken

I've got the normal Diamond (squared version) and it also has the this problem since the very first day, but on the left side of the panel (the home button). I checked a friend's diamond and it had exactly the same thing on the same place.
Anybody else?

I somewhat fixed it by just fabricating a small washer (out of a twist tie) that goes under the screw on that side, so when you tighten the screw down it pulls the button pad inward a little. It's not perfect, but much better.

faint text and images w/ bright white screen

Exactally one day after I received my replacement 8925, the screen on the new device died. The screen almost looks like the contrast is maxed out but I dont think that is the problem. I can barely make out the today screen if I strain my eyes.
I double checked the power options and the backlight is set at the midpoint. I have also tried soft resets and removing the battery, neither seemed to work.
My first 8925 suffered from the RLOD failure. FYI - both the charger and battery are different from what came with my original. Ill try to remember to take some pics tonight if you guys are interested.
Please help! I really do not want to have to send this one back too.

screen locked
today
found this on the HTC wiki, it's a much better description of my problem but there was not a solution posted with it.
"My tilt phone screen unexpectedly became very white, with the icons almost appearing as negative images. There seem to be a few lines that run across the screen that seem 'burned in'."
here is the rom, radio and protocol data if it matters.

I have the EXACT SAME problem with the tilt I've been using for TWO HOURS. My screen looks exactly the same as yours.
What ended up happening for you?
Anyone have anything to contribute?
Arranged to send it back for a new one. Really hope this doesn't happen again.
I've the same problem. My phone felt down and then it happend. I've checked all powertape's connecting screen keyboard and mainboard. It look's like screen problem.

Tilt Disassembly Guide???

I know there's been a thread about replacing the outer keypad of the Tilt but it never seemed to have been resolved. My chrome has come off considerably bad (my send and end key no longer look like buttons, no more windows, my mail key is almost a box, and the k on the ok button looks real funky). I see Cnn.cn has recently updated their parts section and now have the OEM Tilt keypad, I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the outer keypad without completely disassembling the phone, cuz i refuse to pay $70 for someone to replace it when i can do it myself for 10.
I'm pretty sure someone wrote one, (I wrote in the thread) search it out.
No There are no disassembly guides anywhere. Nope mikechannon did not setup a site for this...
Dude, are you following me?

I'm also facing the same problem. I've heard that the keyboard can be cleaned to rectify this. Any suggestions how to do it or where to look?
I think if it is the case for the tilt ( see the second image of the link) it will be quite hard to clean it (it looks encapsulated)

probably I will try to order one for my Tilt?
Thanks - I heard it can be cleaned and then keyboard works like new
But I could not find on the internet ..
i think you'd either have to use compressed air or disassemble it using the guide and clean it up.

No clue how to put that in. I ordered 2 with the sliders, BUT they both came in today and are both junk. The space key is falling out of one, and the other, the menu key is faling out.
These are the ones i ordered, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220425633486&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Nexus 6 after installing new digitizer

I have recently installed a new lcd screen and digitizer on my N6.
Yes. the phone operated just fine for about 2 years before I needed to do the maintenance...
It reboots and operates just fine on WIFI.
When I reboot with a valid SIM, I instantly get connected and registered on the network, and it functions correctly for about 30 seconds.. then drops out/off the network.
When I am rather near a tower it functions correctly too.
So, I am wondering if I somehow bent, or am causing the antennas to not reconnect to the main board fully... I have been looking around for where the GSM antenna(s) are. Google searches and forum searches simply reveal the NFC and quick charging loop under the cover.
Does anyone have an image of the mainboard and it's connectors to the antennas? I have found images of the main components on the board, but none of the GSM part.
Any help in locating/trouble shooting this one would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Thank you for replying....
Oh, btw mine is the XT1103 model.
I followed both of those links prior to posting this.
Yes, the teardown at ifixit was the one I followed. It had a mere mention of the antenna.
The antenna reference diagram doesn't seem to match. I guess it might when the item is inverted.
Here is what I am seeing. Could the wwan antenna actually be the one on the top?
(looking from front)(top is to the left to save space)

Overly sensitive touchscreen

Did anybody have this problem with X2 Pro touchscreen being way too sensitive? Like you can use it without even touching the screen, just hovering the finger ~1 mm above it.
At first I thought it could be because of the static on the stock screen protector, but it's actually even worse without one.
The difference is quite dramatic when compared to my old Nexus 4 (where you need to firmly press to register a touch), but not so much compared to Xiaomi Mi9T (which also feels way too sensitive, just not as quite as much as my X2 Pro).
Doesn't lead to ghost touches or anything like that, but scrolling with one hand is rather uncomfortable as it feels like your thumb is sort of "sticking" to the screen.
It almost seems like there's some sort of a glove mode on. I've looked through adb settings (currently using RealmeUI c26) and found these:
Code:
glove_enable=0
oppo_glove_mode_enabled=0
synaptics_glove_mode_enable=0
Unfortunately changing them does nothing.
Can somebody try this test for me:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If you put a thick stack of papers (e.g. 26-page Realme Quick Start Guide) between your fingers and the screen, pressing hard does it register touches? Mine does quite easily.
Not sure if it's supposed to be like that or perhaps I have a defective unit. Or maybe this is working as intended, made with the assumption that everyone puts thick protective glass on top?
Can anyone help me this? Same thing happening on my k20 pro.
Also can me tell me the commands you used to get the glove mode options?
